"Good grief. One has to wonder how the Honkai managed to appear here." Rita said with a questioning tone as she slew a Honkai Beast that was charging at her.
"I think that our little stroll in the Sea of Quanta may be responsible for that, or something or someone may have drawn the attention of the Will." Responded Sigrid as she fired her divine key at a couple of Seraphs that were charging at her.
"Someone from our world you may suspect? Although that does sound quite complicated if may say." Rita commented.
"That's putting it lightly little maid." Responded Sigrid as she fired another shot.
"How many Honkai beasts are left?" Asked the Rita as she gave her the attention to the 2IC of the World Serpent.
"My scanners say that was the last of them, but I suspect than many of them have dispersed to the surrounding areas." Sigrid responded as she looked at her scanner.
"Sounds like a pain the ass, and considering that the locals haven't been exposed to Honkai Beasts before now, they are in danger." Sigrid continued on.
Rita realized in how much danger these Human are in.
"I agree." Said Rita agreeing with the assessment that Sigrid gave her.
"By the way, what do we do about the corpses? You do realize that they may cause an outbreak if left unchecked." Sigrid asked Rita as the former holstered her Divine on her back.
"I can fix that." Rita said as several cryo grenades appeared on her hands and threw them at the corpses, and as the grenades exploded it froze the corpses so to prevent them from creating patient zero cases of Honkai infection.
Suddenly she heard the Police sirens blaring.
"It'd appear that it is appropriate time for use to make our departure." said Rita as she de-summoned her scythe and her battlesuit and went to her casual clothing of a frilly shirt, black skirt, leggings and boots.
"Come along maid I will hitch a car." Said Sigrid as she walked passed the Schicksla's maid and removed the armored mask, making Rita to look at Sigrid with a tinge of surprise.
"Is there something on my face?" Sigrid asked Rita.
"No though it can't helped but focus on the blue lightning pattern lines that seem to extend from your face and down to your neck." Said Rita.
"That's a story for another time, maid, let's get going." Said Sigrid as she ran passed the Maid, who proceeded to follow along.
Though unbeknownst to them a Honkai Beast disintegrated into thin and began to spread it's infection
With Beverly, Ben and Co.
"So... what's with all the strange metal thing that you seem to make?" Kevin asked Beverly as they walked up to the hole where the car was buried at.
"Think of it as programmable matter and you can get the picture, with the ability to contain information and energy." Beverly told Kevin.
"Sounds a bit like a Deus ex Machina to me." Gwen commented.
"And isn't Ben's "watch" basically a Deus ex Machina mixed with a MacGuffin?" Asked Beverly as she looked at Gwen.
"Point taken." Gwen said.
"Hey, I'll let you know that the Omnitrix isn't some Deus ex Machina or a MacGuffin, whatever they mean." Ben said feeling a bit offended.
"A Deus ex Machina is basically a plot device where the problem is solved with the sudden appearance of a device or a person and a MacGuffin is a person or object that sets the story in motion." Said Beverly.
"Sounds about right to me." Kevin commented in agreement with the ascension Beverly made, making Gwen look at Kevin slightly with surprise.
"What? Do you think I am some Hobo who is obsessed only with his car, I know my way around literature." Kevin said.
"Yeah? Name me a book series you liked." Gwen asked Kevin.
"The 1991 Thrawn Trilogy." Kevin said.
"Ok, you got me there." Gwen.
"You like sci fi books?" Ben asked his cousin, since he though she was mostly one to read fantasy stories.
"It's just a fancy." Gwen said.
Then the 5 of them stopped as they saw the car in the hole
"Well your car could have been worse." Beverly said as she walked up to the car.
"Yeah, except the headlight, windshield, and pretty much the whole left side of the car." Kevin commented feeling as if was going to get a heart attack simply by the look of the car in the hole.
"Well my condolence then." Beverly said as she grabbed the rear of the car and pulled it out with brute force.
And Kevin felt like he was dying inside at the sight of his messed up car.
The car's grill was broken, the head lights, needed replacement, the windshield, hood too. Probably the suspension also.
As Ben and Gwen saw Kevin's reaction they couldn't help but cringe a bit.
"Seriously what's with my car getting trashed?" Kevin asked as he took a deep breath.
"Well... since I am feeling generous, and that we need the car." Beverly said as she placed her hand over the car.
TheN all of a sudden the car was engulfed by the red metallic liquid that came off of Beverly's hand and onto the car.
And suddenly the car fixed itself.
Which made Kevin look at Beverly and blinked his eyes, once, twice, and then rubbed them.
"Alright what gives? What do you want in exchange?" Kevin asked.
"Are you so Paranoid that you can't trust someone when a deed done in good faith is made?" Asked Max as he walked up to his mother.
"You do realize that we've met you just a few hours ago right?" Asked Kevin as he raised an eyebrow at Max.
"Now now, nothing bad has been done and besides Kevin and his friends has every right to be suspect. No?" Beverly responded.
"Alright let's get going..." Ben was about to complete his sentence when suddenly his phone began to ring and as he saw who the caller was, and saw that it was his mother.
"Mom? Is something wrong?" Ben asked her.
"Ben where are you?" Came his mother's voice.
"Mom is there something wrong?" Ben asked his mother.
"Everything is find but something big seems to have happened in downtown, according to the news, and I thought that you were there." Sandra responded.
"We'll be on our way." Ben said.
"Just be careful, alright?" Sandra asked Ben
"I will." Ben responded as he closed the phone.
"What is it?" Kevin asked Ben wondering what the phone call was for.
"Mom called she said that something has happened in Bellwood downtown." Ben responded.
"You think that one of our old enemies showed up demanding a rematch?" Asked Gwen.
"I don't know, we will have to get there and see what the deal is." Ben responded.
"Curiouser and curiouser." Said Beverly as she began to wonder about something.
"You know something?" Kevin asked Beverly.
"I hardly know what occurs in downtown so... same response as Ben, we will have to check out what happened there to be certain." Said Beverly as she got in the back of the car followed by Max.
So too did Ben and company, and off they went to Bellwood to see what happened there.
Elsewhere
In a facility a girl with long, curly, green hair that extends to her waist. At the back of her head, there is a contraption that drapes four black belts. On her forehead, she wears a black crown. Her eyes are a gradient that goes from green to a light pink. Her pupils are thin: like a snake.
She has a sleeveless tight black dress, detailed with green and gold. On her left arm she has a loose semi transparent sleeve and a black glove, while on her right arm she has a long black glove with three green claws. They are located on her thumb, index, and middle finger. She has a gold earring dangling from her right ear.
Was sitting with a bored look on her face, then a man wearing a white mask covering one, and dressed in black overalls arrived.
"Oh, what is Serpent? Do you have news for me?" The Girl asked her spy.
"I come to inform you that our leader and the Einherjar have made their long awaited return." The man responded catching her surprise.
"Oh Kevin and the Hermit have returned, when did this happen?" Mobius asked curious as to how they managed to return last she recalled Su locked Kevin somewhere in the imaginary space and Michael locked himself up standing guard over the grave he made for Himeko after she became a Herrscher, a pity really that woman knew how whip recruits into shape.
"A couple of hours ago." Grey Serpent replied.
"Well, It seems I have to greet some old friends then." Mobius said as she got off of her desk.
With Kevin and Michael
As both men got out of the 2nd Key Michael looked at Kevin.
"So what mission do you have for me?" Asked Michael making Kevin to look at him, cutting to the chase.
This had the effect making Kevin chuckle a bit, he knew the older male was never one to play mind games, but it didn't meant he was a fool either.
"Alright, once we have been informed I want you to infiltrate one of the organizations in this time." Kevin said.
"And those organizations are?" Michael asked.
"Those organizations would be Schicksal and Anti-Entropy." Came a female voice, causing both men to turn and face Jackal.
"Pardon my sudden intrusion, My name is Jackal and I am the head researcher of World Serpent, it is an Honor of finally meeting you." Jackal said as she took a bow.
"Alright then, give me all intelligence you've got on Schicksal and Anti-Entropy." Michael said as he walked pass the Kevin and Jackal.
"Immediately my lord." Jackal said.
"Never one to waste time are you old man?" Kavin mused to himself.
