I own Neither Honkai Impact nor Ben 10
As Himeko was drinking her cappuccino and looking out the Cafe's window her mind began to drift to her time when she was training Beverly when the girl had first started off her training.
She recalled the time she would often fight with Bianca from time to time and her having to break them up when the fight got out of hands, and they would quickly make up.
She also recalled Beverly being stubborn and often ignoring command which while some had good intentions did their fair share of harm .
"There's no way that Beverly has kicked the bucket, she way to stubborn for that." Himeko thought to herself, recalling the times that Beverly made it out of combat ops through brute strength alone.
"Is this seat taken? As it appear that every seat in the Caffe is taken." Came a male voice drawing Himeko's attention.
As she looked to her left she saw a Man roughly her age group, with a cup of coffee in the right hand, he had a rather pale complexion, a strong body build, a 5 o'clock shadow with three scratch marks running through his face, short brown hair, a white dress shirt, a pair of black pants and shoes, he was really tall he stood at 6' 10" though what caught her eyes and the man's heterochromatic eyes, the left one was green and the right one was amber, and it'd appear as if it were glowing.
And for some reason there seemed to be an odd rise of temperature around the man.
Though she noticed that on his left hand he was holding an odd file on his hand which had Schicksal's coat of arms, which made her think that he was some one that was sent to St. Freya on the Orders of the overseer.
"No." Himeko simply replied as she started eyeing the man, and from her point of view something about this man felt rather off.
"So what's your name?" Himeko asked the Man.
"Michael Galahad. And yours?" Michael answered as he asked Himeko in return.
"Murata Himeko." Himeko answered.
"Well, you certainly look like a princess, So... what bring a Valkyrie like yourself to this café?" Asked Michael.
"Nothing special really, just on a simple break, what about you? You don't look like your typical Schicksal operator, and yet you have a file with Schicksal's coat of arms on it." Himeko asked Michael.
"This thing? It is my resume for that captain Job as the Hyperion's captain, though... I am still put off as to why someone put out the job for the captain of one hell of an advanced aerial dreadnought." Michael said.
"Huh that old thing? Well we did have a few applicants about that post, though many of them didn't meet the requirements the Overseer had set for them and they are quite steep." Himeko told Michael.
"Sounds rather reasonable, the Overseer wouldn't want any inexperienced person commanding the most advanced piece of hardware in Schicksla's back and call." Michael said with humor in his tone.
"Quite." Himeko said in agreement, as she finished her drink and prepared to leave.
"By the way, Do you know where I can send my application?" Michael asked Himeko.
"Well, you would have to send them to the head of the Schicksal's Far East Division, who for the most part resides in the St. Freya academy." Himeko told Michael which got some raised eyebrows.
"So you are saying that the head of the Far East Division is also the principal of an Academy made to train Valkyries?" Michael summarized.
"Basically." Himeko simply replied.
"Well then I guess I will have to thank you then, Miss Murata, and Hopefully we do manage to work with each other in the future." Michael as he extended his hand for a handshake.
"That will remain to be seen." Said Himeko as she returned the gesture.
After that Himeko went out and left after she payed for the cappuccino, then Michael's phone started ringing.
"Yes?" Michael asked as he face turned serious.
"Where are you?" Kevin asked him over the phone.
"At a café, I will be sending my application for the Hyperion position shortly." Replied Michael.
"Very well, and good luck." Said Kevin as he finished the call.
"Let's get this over with." Said Michael as he finished his coffee and got up to make the application for the Captain position.
Elsewhere
The Silence in the car was rather eerie, which made the team feel put off by Beverly and her "son" who was sitting on her lap.
Though for Kevin he felt much more grateful that his car was in working order, and wondered what Beverly did to the car, but he could feel that the car had gotten an upgrade.
But still he to felt off put by what he though was essentially a vampire.
"So... where are you from?" Asked Ben out of the blue, trying to shake off the eerie feeling that was permeating from the woman behind them.
"Bellwood, US, trained in Siberia for a couple of year, with an intermission to visit mom and dad." Beverly answered with a straight face.
"If you are an alternate reality version of Ben, then you know what he likes?" Asked Gwen.
"Yes, I was quite fond of Sumo slammer, then I started to loose interest in it as I applied for football team, and later my job as one of Overseer's special operatives took me, most of the time." Beverly replied.
"What about Grampa and Gwen? There has to be a version of them." Ben asked Beverly, who remained silent like the grave.
"Sounds like something that she doesn't want to talk about." Kevin commented as he looked at Beverly through the rearview mirror.
"Dead." Beverly finally replied causing the car to stop for a moment.
