Shaun docked the boat near a surface of the bay near the main beach but far enough that they were directly out of site. Thankfully for them, there were no officers on the beach so they were able to migrate freely to the beach.

Mary-Jane and Harry were given dart rifles while Gwen and Liz were given blowpipes. All were given pouches full of sleeping darts. They had been given sufficient enough training to serve their purpose for this mission. Plus, they would act as lookouts to make sure they were fine.

"Alright...Shaun and Rebecca are going to stay on the boat and warn us of anything suspicious going on like maybe Abstergo sends a few more boats, some officers wander around the beach area and other things like that. You guys are going to stick bushes like these here. They're scattered all over the jungle leading up to the Observatory" AC said, pointing to a large bush that large enough to crouch down in, fully hiding the body.

"We'll be up in the trees there monitoring your actions and the actions of the Abstergo agents. We don't believe they expected us to follow so their attention will likely be focused on the guardians. We'll intervene should something go wrong" Aapo said.

The 4 teens nodded, understanding the plan.

"Alright, good. Now follow us. Be very quiet" AC said, leading them up a hill to the entrance of the jungle.

They kept climbing until they reached a cliff to a surface below them. There was a path going downhill that was covered with large bush areas.

The 2 assassins jumped and grabbed onto two separate, large tree trunks and climbed on. They then began to move swiftly through the trees through the area.

"I'll never get used to that" Liz whispered to Mary-Jane, amazed they could do this with ease

Mary-Jane put a finger to her lips, telling her silently to be quiet. All 4 of the teens moved downhill through the bushes. From small openings, they could see 2 security officers hold the island guardians hostage at gunpoint.

The redhead aimed her air-rifle through the bushes with Gwen, who was right behind her, doing the same with her blowpipe.

When Mary-Jane was at a close enough distance, she shot a dart to one of the officers holding the natives hostage. Gwen quickly followed suit, blowing the pipe with filled with another dart and shooting it to the other officer.

They grunted in pain and reached for where they felt a sting. However, they had very little time to figure out what exactly had happened as they became incredibly sleepy and both fell to the ground quickly, dropping their guns.

"I want to try!" Liz whispered excitedly, wanting to join in on the action.

"There's your chance" Mary-Jane said, pointing to two other guards in the jungle, holding another group of guardians. It was outside the bushes but it seemed to be a good enough distance away to where she could sneak behind without making too much noise.

"Wait. Let me go with you. You know, as your backup or something" Harry suggested.

Liz mentally groaned but knew she would need some backup as there were two of them. She reluctantly agreed.

The two of them carefully made their way out of the bushes and slowly crept towards the two guards. They continued getting closer until they were within shooting distance.

Both aimed their rifle and pipe at them. Almost simultaneously, they shot their darts, making efficient hits at both of the guards, who quickly fell to the ground passed out just as the other two did.

Suddenly Aapo came down from the trees. He moved around and quickly used his hidden blade to cut the web prisons the guardians were held in while AC collected the guns.

Aapo gathered the guardians in one place said something that seemed to be the native tongue of this village. The guardians seemed to understand as they went off, looking like they were trying to find somewhere to hide.

"I admit I had my doubts but you all seem to be getting the hang of this" AC said, saying with a little smirk.

"Wow. A smile. Didn't know you had it in you" Mary-Jane lightly teased as she and Gwen came out of the bushes.

"No jokes, Watson. We still need to complete our objective. There are still a lot of guards holding these guardians hostage and we still need to find the Templars and Peter" AC said, staying focused on the mission.

"I know, I know. Lead the way. You know it better than we do" Mary-Jane said. AC nodded as he and Aapo led them further down to the jungle, closer to the Observatory.

*Meanwhile*

John looked inside his ancient tomb for a minute before he turned around towards the people behind him.

"Tell your men to stay out here. I won't allow them to come in" John declared, glaring at the officers.

"What?" Emmanuel asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Your goons. The sight of what lies beyond this tomb will drive lesser minds mad. Tell them to stay put or the deal is off" John demanded.

Chris and Emmanuel looked at each other before glancing at John.

"You may be able to get into the Observatory but you won't get out alive without my help. Tell them to stay out here" John glared at the two, wanting an answer.

Chris gave a defeated sigh, knowing that he was right.

"Fine...but Peter comes with us as backup...we know all about Edward Kenway" Chris said, glaring at John who looked indifferent to what he was saying but knew full well what he was talking about.

"Very well. I expected him to come anyway" John said, turning back towards the door and began to walk in.

Chris looked at the box of vials and then to Peter.

"Peter...do you mind?" Chris asked, sheepishly.

Peter shook his head no before taking the box out of the officer's hands and proceeded to walk with his 2 friends behind John into the tomb.

"Still dirty as ever I see. Seems Kenway and the Assassins didn't do much cleaning during their time here" John said, looking around as he walked down the tomb hall, lit by strange looking torches that were lit by a strange light source that Peter couldn't put his finger on instead of fire.

"Kenway? Who's that?" Peter asked with a raised eyebrow as he walked closely behind.

"A pirate Assassin during the golden age of piracy. He was one of the only Assassins to ever see the Observatory first hand" Emmanuel explained.

"Indeed. Laureano Torres, the Grand Master of the West Indies Rite at the time, was close to gaining the device but was killed by Kenway in this very place before he could finish the job. Today, we're here to do it for him" Chris explained.

"Yep, just a dirty pirate if that gives you any idea of what kind of people the Assassins are" Emmanuel sneered.

John had to scoff at this. Oh the irony of that very statement.

They continued walking down the tomb. This was all very strange to Peter. He was no expert on archaeology but this was way more advanced then anything he'd seen in pictures. The material used for the structure was something he couldn't begin to place.

"This is incredible" Peter said in awe.

"You've seen nothing yet" John said as they continued walking down the tomb. Soon, they reached an open room with a single, platform reaching to another platform on the other end.

"My god...you built all this?" Peter asked John, increduously.

"Well designed it. For the building aspect, I...had help" John said, referring to the point in time in which his people held humans as slaves.

They crossed the platform until the reached the other end of the room. At that point, another doorcase at the top of a flight of stairs opened. Peter was just in awe at the architecture.

"I'm so confused. How is it no one knows about this place but Templars and Assassins? You'd think even with the guardians, someone could have found it if they were curious enough" Peter said, confused as ever.

"This metal is virtually indestructible, even by most if not all military grade weaponry so if anyone were to come across this place without getting killed by the guardians, they couldn't get far without me" John explained.

"When was this place even built?" Peter asked.

"80,000 years ago to date" John answered which caused Peter's mouth to practically drop to the floor.

"But...but...that's impossible!" Peter exclaimed, his eyes wide as saucers.

"Funny. Kenway told me the same thing almost 300 years ago. Still funny to hear now" John said, chuckling as they walked up the stairs and through the doorway.

"Best not to ask him too many questions, Pete. It'll only make you more confused. Let's save it for another day" Emmanuel whispered to Peter who nodded after a pause, not really satisfied with leaving it at that.

After going down another hallway and through another doorway, they seemed to have reached the end of the tomb. A sort of auditorium of some sort with seats all around the back of the room. At the center, there seemed to be some sort of auxiliary sphere model...with a crystal skull in the center.

"Huh...if I didn't know any better, I would say this was where Spielberg got the idea" Peter thought.

"Put the box right next to the device right there" John said, pointing to the area right next to the sphere model. Peter did as told and placed the box down.

Afterwards, he decided to get a better look at the model. The skull seemed to have some sort of slot at the forehead level. He guessed that was where the crystal vials came in.

"So this is it? The device?" Peter asked.

"Yes...an old and ancient device...yet powerful all the same" John said, marveling at his own creation.

Suddenly, the tomb began to shake. Everyone started to lose balance.

"Holy shit, it's an earthquake!" Peter practically cried out.

"No...no. Just a security measure I had installed. Just a moment" John said before he approached the skull. He placed his hand on top of the skull for a moment.

After a few moments, the shaking stopped and Peter began to calm down.

"One hell of a security measure. Sure to give anyone a heart attack at least" Peter said, holding his chest with his hand.

"Oh believe me, it would do much worse than give a heart attack. Torres made the mistake many years ago of coming without me and it ended up being his downfall" John stated.

"A mistake we're not going to repeat" Chris declared.

"So, gentlemen, I'm sure you're educated enough to know how it works so...take your pick" John said, gesturing to the box and stepping back.

Chris leaned down and opened the box. Decisions, decisions. There were labels of many Senators, Congress Representatives, some members of the House of Commons, the House of Lords. The power that was in their grasp now was invaluable...and dangerous.

*Outside the Observatory*

Amazingly, the 4 teens were able to utilize the tools they were allowed to use for this mission pretty well. They were able to free the last of the guardians near the entrance of the Observatory.

AC tied the remaining unconscious guards together with rope while Aapo spoke to the guardians in their native tongue. He gestured to the 4 teens as if he was presenting them as their heroes.

This seemed to work as one of them ran up to Harry and gave him a big hug, lifting him off the ground.

This caused the girls to laugh at the scene. Even AC let out a little chuckling huff.

"Yeah, you're welcome, dude...could you...uh" Harry said before the guardian put him down and bowed his head.

The guardians then ran off into the jungle while they were left by themselves by the entrance to the Observatory.

"Look at this place! It's amazing!" Gwen said, looking around.

"So this Sage guy built all this?" Liz asked with a raised eyebrow.

"As far as we know. It probably goes a lot deeper than that" AC said, stepping towards the open doors.

This was it. This was all it was leading up to. The young man turned back to the group.

"Alright...we're about to go in. Peter's going to be hostile to protect his so called friends so we're going to need you to go in before we do and try to talk to him, make him see that what he's doing is wrong" AC explained.

"Yes, make him understand" Aapo said, agreeing.

"...but what if he doesn't listen?" Mary-Jane asked, knowing how stubborn Peter could be at times.

"...We'll deal with that as it comes. For now, we just need to focus on recovering the device and getting it out of Templar hands. So...if you will" AC said, presenting to them the doorway.

The 4 teens looked to each other and nodded. They were finally going to get their friend back from these goons. All 4 of them looked forward and walked into the ancient tomb with the 2 assassins following behind them.

*The Observation Room*

Chris had finally decided on a prominent senator and inserted it into the slot. After a few seconds, the skull began to light and the sphere model began to spin around.

The skull device seemed to project a sort of moving image. The Sphere seemed to amplify that imagery into a larger projection at the end of the room where there was a large open gap filled with water at the bottom.

The image was that of a high end office. It was presented as a sort of POV of someone sitting at a desk. At the opposite end, there were 2 men dressed in suits sitting in chairs.

"So you're going to vote in favor of the new defense spending bill?" One of them asked.

"I'm not sure. My constituents are pretty liberal. They won't like any more discretionary spending used on the military" The person on the POV side said.

"What is this?" Peter asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I assume it's a meeting between a Senator and defense contractors. This must in relation to the latest defense bill coming up" Emmanuel answered, looking up at the projection.

"So...wait...this is happening right now? As we speak?!" Peter asked, realizing that fact.

"At this very moment, yes" Chris said, doing the same.

"That's...that's…" Peter tried to say. He didn't know how to describe it. Incredible, impossible, the most amazing thing he's ever seen but words just couldn't escape his mouth.

"We understand, Peter. This is truly a device like no other" Chris said, not taking his eyes off the projection. Peter continued listening in.

"The people are sheep, Senator. All you need to do is stroke their fears and they'll follow you blindly. Besides, we have an agreement, Senator. We funded your reelection campaign, remember?" A defense contractor asked, sternly.

"Yes, I know. I just don't feel right about this. I'm supposed to listen to the people who elected me" The Senator said.

"The people seem happy enough and what's to complain about. We're ensuring their security, you're giving us business. Everyone wins" The contractor said like a sleezy scumbag.

"...Yes...yes, agreed. You have my word that I'll vote positively on this bill" The senator said.

"Excellent. Thank you for your time, Senator. Why don't you give us a call sometime? We'll take our families on a yacht ride at Hawaii. It's always lovely this time of year" The contractor suggested.

"Yes, that sounds nice" The Senator said. They all proceeded to stand from their seats and both the men shook hands with the Senator and left the room.

Chris then took the cube out of the device and shook his head as he placed the cube back in the box.

"Disgusting...but not surprising. This is what we plan on using the Observatory for, Peter. To expose these crooks for who they are. This device provides us with limitless possibilities and the assurance of a brighter future" Chris explained to Peter.

"Yeah...this is like some magic trick or something" Peter examining the device, not understanding how something so small can have such a huge power.

"Not so" John said, stepping up.

The three of them turned towards the Sage who then proceeded to speak further.

"Despite its appearance, everything you see is structurally designed and engineered to act the way it does. It is ancient and the knowledge of it's mechanics is lost to this world...but there's nothing supernatural or strange about it" John explained.

"Amazing" Peter said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"It really is...this is truly a huge day for us…" Emmanuel said, agreeing.

Emmanuel turned to look at Chris who did the same. They both nodded at each other.

Peter raised an eyebrow and asked what exactly was going on.

"Peter...you've done us a great service today and all throughout this week. Usually it takes months and sometimes even years to become an official Templar but under the circumstances...we think you've demonstrated your loyalty to our cause well enough from the very day we met...we'd like to offer you full membership into our group...if you're still interested" Chris explained.

Peter blinked twice.

"That's right, Peter. Our moms gave us permission to give you full induction right here, right now if you would like to do it now" Emmanuel said, smiling to Peter.

Peter blinked rapidly before slowly nodding.

"Yeah...I am...I'm ready" Peter said, breathing heavily with excitement.

"Good" Chris said, reaching into his pocket and taking out a ring, similar to the ones that the both of them wore when they were studying together the first day they met.

John just rolled his eyes and moved to the side, knowing this didn't involve him.

"Peter...do you swear to uphold the principles of our order and all that for which we stand?" Chris asked.

Peter nodded. "I do"

"And never to share our secrets nor to divulge the true nature of our work?" Chris further asked.

"I do" Peter answered, nodding again.

"And to do so from now until death whatever the cost?" Chris finally asked.

Peter blinked at that. A little overdramatic but he felt comfortable enough with them to answer with another "I do"

Both Chris and Emmanuel smiled widely.

"Then we welcome you into our fold, brother. Together, we will discover a new world defined by purpose and order. Peter...you...are a Templar" Chris said, taking Peter's hand and holding the Templar ring to his ring finger.

Before he could put the ring on though, Peter's spidey sense went off. He quickly turned and caught the butt of a knife that was fast approaching them.

Chris fell onto his back in shock at what just occurred, dropping the ring onto the ground. Emmanuel quickly helped him up.

Peter stared at the knife. It was aimed from the back of the knife so it seemed whoever threw it didn't want to hurt them (Yet anyway) but it didn't seem like they were friends.

The spider hero turned to the entrance, expecting to see a guardian he may have missed. Instead...it was 4 faces he knew quite well.

"Peter, please stop what you're doing!" Mary-Jane exclaimed.

"Yes, Peter. Please. This isn't you!" Gwen exclaimed with her friend towards the boy she loved.

Peter blinked, saying nothing, stunned at what he was seeing as he just continued staring at the 4 people who were the last people he expected coming to a place like this.
