"Why do I feel like W and Donner are responsible for this?" Naofumi thought to himself as he looked into the air and looked at the gathering black clouds who seemed to have Lighting passing through them, so he raised his cloak's hood to be prepared for the rain to come.
This even however didn't go unnoticed by the civilians who came out and looked at what was going on.
"Do you think it will be a heavy rain?" Asked One citizen.
"I hope not, If the rain would be that heavy it would ruin the harvests." Someone Answered.
"Let's hope it's not a freak storm, those are way worse than heavy raining." Another civilian responded.
"Yup, definitely Donner if the civvies are acting up like this." Naofumi thought to himself recalling the Draco using her Thunder arts to vaporize large groups of enemies.
"And if Donner's here so must W." Naofumi thought to himself as he began to walk towards the pub, in hopes of finding someone hiring or at least finding some information.
But suddenly...
"Mr. Hero! Mr. Hero!" Came a Female voice calling out.
So Naofumi looked behind him, and saw the redhead from the castle, earlier.
"What does she want?" Naofumi thought to himself wondering what the redhead was coming towards him wanted with him.
In the streets of the capital a young woman with red hair, green eyes, and wearing leather armor, with an angry look on her face considering that the person she had set her eyes on was missing somewhere in the streets.
For her part Myne felt a tad pissed at the Draco that he had wind up and left the castle with out a single thought or care, who the heck did he think he was?
"Butcher of Babel, what stupid title is that, and what is Babel anyways?" Were the thoughts that rang through Myne's mind as she recalled Naofumi's introduction, and from she saw the man seemed to have the attitude of a common Mercenary.
"Well... if he's just a Mercy then it'll bee easy to get his attention." Myne said to herself recalling what her father told her regarding Mercenaries, that the only thing they care for is gold.
As she continued her walk she heard the sound of Lighting and looked up.
"Odd, there was no reporting of thunderclouds, by the weather observers." Myne said to herself voicing the same thought that passed through every citizen in the city.
Shrugging it as nothing big she continued he walk until she noticed a familiar tattered cloak, with the figure of a Tower reaching into the heavens.
"There he is." Myne thought to herself finally having found her intended target.
"Mr. Hero! Mr. Hero!" Myne said as she ran towards Naofumi whilst waving her arm, though as he began to turn around he looked at her and made a less than pleased look.
"Greetings lady, I can't help but say what would a nice and beautiful miss like would do in these streets. Don't you have places better to be?" Naofumi asked her in a rather refined manner, unbecoming of a Mercenary, and more akin to someone with royal bearings.
"Is he some sort of a disgraced Noble?" Myne thought to herself, as she looked at the way Noafumi held himself with pride that could be seen from nobles.
But... there was something set him from the rest, even if he was a Demi-Human, for some reason she was reminded of Dragons, not of the mindless beasts she heard from her father's stories, but of the Dragons that were more intelligent than simple humans, and had the power to back up their Pride.
"I-I was wondering, if you needed some help, and I know a blacksmith that may get you some new armor and weapon, I doubt that you'd be facing the wave calamity with just a cane." Myne said as she pointed at Naofumi's old and worn out armor and then his cane.
"Madam, for your information It's rude to insult a man's tools, as they represent his trade, I for one am well established caster with respectable combat abilities, though I did use to be a Guard operative, and having this shield is bringing back some serious Deja Vu." Noafumi said, though the last part was mostly to himself and no one in particular.
"I beg your Pardon?" Myne asked Naofumi.
"Nothing, Red. Anywho, do you know a place where I can get some practice?" Asked Noafumi, making Myne smile.
Balloon field
"Well... I was not expecting this." Noafumi thought to himself as he dodged an attack by a balloon monster.
During his time in Terra Naofumi had encountered a lot of things, from infected wolf packs, to infected that have lost their sanity to the Originium infection.
But not this.
"God, if Kal saw me getting My ass handed to me by some sentient Balloons she'd be laughing her ass off, speaking of which what is that crazy woman up to now?" Naofumi thought to himself wondering what Kal'tsit was doing right now.
With Kal'tist
It has been nearly several months that Naofumi had all but vanished, and every one that's been close to him has been searching up and down the the landship, and she also heard some words from the rumor mill that W and Donner had disappeared from the face of the map.
"Hey Dr. Kal'tsit?" Came Amiya's soft tone.
"What can I do for you Amiya?" Kal'tsit asked the Cautus chimera, as the latter entered her office.
"I wanted to ask where Operative Firestorm is, as I haven't met him anywhere in the facility, not even the library where he's usually found." Amiya told Kal'tsit.
"To be honest Amiya I have no idea where Noafumi has disappeared, and same goes for the W and Donner who I recall you've met them once or twice during our days as Babel." Kal'tsit told Amiya.
"I... see. Very well then I want to be informed in any further information regarding Operator Firestorms whereabouts emerge." Amiya told Kal'tsit, the latter whom simply nodded.
"Don't worry, considering that we have apprehended, Talulah and the elimination of their higher ups the threat of Reunion as threat is as good as over. Leaving us with ample time to launch a search for Naofumi." Kal'tist told Amiya.
"Also, Amiya?" Kal'tsit asked Amiay catching the Cautus' attention.
"Please take care, and do take a break every once in a while." Kal'tsit told Amiya, who simply smiled.
"You should heed your own advise Doctor, if there's anything I'll be in the cafeteria." Amiya told Kal'tsit with a bit of sass in her tone and left the office to go the cafeteria.
"Albert's really been rubbing off on you Amiya." Kal'tsit said to no one in particular.
Back with Noafumi
"Blasted things, why won't you stay dead!" Naofumi shouted out in anger as he used one of his fire arts to burn one of the Balloons, and what he actually did was make a fire blast that burned several of the bloody critters.
And behind him Myne was looking at Noafumi with a surprised look at the shield hero could perform magic without the need of incantation like many magician or herself.
"Let's go and check for equipment I think I'll need a complimentary sword." Noafumi said as he began to walk back towards the capital.
"Don't worry Mr. Naofumi I know just the right place." Myne said as she began to lead Noafumi towards a Blacksmith where he would find the weapon he needed.
And Naofumi took out a bottle of Vicodin and took two pieces.
AN: Alright the Reason why Naofumi can use Arts+with the catalys and the Shield not make a fuss about it. is because to it's system the cane or the gloves aren't really weapons that are used for any sort of attack other than Arts, which are outside of the System's rules, and don't use Mana.
