'Come here,' A playful voice said followed by a small giggle.
A young boy with black hair and tanned skin dressed in white clothes walked through a corridor with a smile on his face. He looked to be around 10 years old. He was all alone and he had no one.
'Listen, young sir. You are the youngest of your family. Your family has always been one of the church's closest supporters as well as its criticizers. Due to this, you and your family can comprehend the church's intention and act on it This came at the cost of having enemies not only from outside but inside it as well.' The words by a woman entered his mind.
The young boy kept walking only to stop as he saw a sight.
"Woah! Hold on!" A young man with black hair wearing a white coat said as he looked at a young boy in front of him, one that looked a lot like him. It was as if the boy was a younger version of himself. The only difference was that he was paler than him and his eyes were the same color as the young woman by the side of the black-haired man.
"Yes, I have some questions as well. Why him of all people?" A beautiful young woman asked, she was dressed in black clothes.
"Dr. I know I'm usually not the busiest person in our organization but I don't think I can take care of a child." The black-haired young man said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Of course not. I know how close the two of you are so, naturally, the two of you will be the ones caring for this boy." By the side, a young man with white hair and blue eyes smiled slightly as the boy ran over him and hid behind his leg, peeking his head out to look at the strangers.
"Wait... why does he have her eye color? Dr... you made a _ _ out of our genes?" The black-haired man said as he looked at the beautiful purple-haired girl in front of him.
"Are you saying that... this boy is our child?" The blueish-purple-haired girl asked in shock, her cheeks burned slightly as opposed to her companion's face. The two stopped and looked at the boy.
"Yes. The boy was originally supposed to be a clone of you, however, there was an incident that made me accidentally spill some of _ DNA, resulting in his birth." Dr... said as the boy was now talking with the white-haired man.
A few minutes of silence later, the young man and woman looked at each other and nodded.
"What's his name? Since he is my son, I might as well take him in. I always wanted to have a family one day. Of course, that means I will be training him." The young man said with a smirk, his dark eyes softening slightly as he looked at the child while the woman's blue eyes turned red as she looked at the young man. Dark eyes turned dark purple as they met with red.
"Oh? How bold of you to assume that I will just let you train him. Foolishness, you foolish water lily." The woman said as her hair turned white with red streaks similar to a bird's plumage.
"What does that mean Phoenix?" The young man asked as his hair gained a dark purple tint.
"You two. No fighting in front of the child." The white-haired man said with a stern tone as he looked at the two. The two immediately calmed down, their hair and eyes returning to their original color.
"Thank you, Kevin. Ren, Hua, this child's name is...
'Oh, it's you! Do you want to play?' The voice once again asked the child.
Standing in front of a closed door, the little boy excitedly opened it to reveal a flower of some sort. It was a water lily made of some kind of metal and it burned quite a bit.
"Woah!" the young boy exclaimed as he looked at the water lily in front of him.
'Let's play!' The voice shouted happily as the flower opened to reveal a shield the shape of a cross. It was a circular shield with some sort of metal that could form a cross on it. IT was beautiful and it shone brightly.
Now standing in front of the child was another one, a young boy just the same as the one in his vision,
'I'm Achilles, Achilles Hua-Cruz, and you are?' The child said with a smile. Looking closely, the little boy in front of his has beautiful sky blue eyes with tanned skin and black hair, a bright smile on his face as his eyes glowed brightly to a different color, one red like flames, the other purple as lightning while his hair changed to white with feather-like purple highlights. Other than his physical changes, several things caught the child's attention, a white and red feather earring on his right ear, his clothes reminded him of those from the ones in Shenzou that he had read from, a belt with a sort of weapon on it.
"I'm Rein, Reinhardt Crozzo. Nice to meet you!" The boy said with a smile causing Achilles to grin and stretched out his hand.
"Let's go! I have a lot to show you!" Achilles said with a happy smile as he waited. Taking the hand, Reinhardt felt himself get dragged by Achilles as the children ran through the dark corridor. As the two left, the burning lotus that bloomed slowly closed and touched the ground. The shield that it left floated in the air and followed the two.
Achilles smiled as he led the boy through the ancestral home of the Crozzo Family. As the two walked farther away, Reinhardt started to see some visions.
Vision 1
"Are you alright?" A man with white hair and blue eyes said to a young man sitting on the ground with his head on the wall. The young man looked to be around 15 with dirty clothes and several bandages around his body. To his side, there were several cans opened up and on his hand was a gun with the barrel cocked, showing that it was empty.
The young man nodded his head weakly before he groaned in pain.
"Impressive. To take out Honkai zombies on your own..." The man said with a smile that weakened the teen's guard. "Come with me, I'll teach you how to fight." He said, offering his hand.
Looking at him, the young man nodded his head and stood up on his own. His knees were shaking but he took the man's hand and grabbed it.
"Good, I'm Kevin, Kevin *******. You are?" the man asked.
"Ren. My name is Ren Cruz." The teen answered.
Vision end
The children passed through the dark hallways and went up the stairs.
Vision 2
"Specialist Cruz, reporting for duty." The young man from before said with a salute. He was now a year or so older, dressed in a uniform modified for movement and storage for weapons. His eyes were cold and calculating. In front of him was a beautiful woman with red hair wearing the female version of the uniform who smiled at him.
"Ah, thank you for coming in such short notice Specialist Cruz," The woman said with a smile.
"There's no problem with that, Captain Himeko." Ren said as the two walked with each other.
"You are in charge of the recruits that Lieutenant Kevin recruited during this joined training operation," Himeko said to him. "I'm counting on you, you're one of the four highest-ranked soldiers that will overlook this training op."
"Ma'am, Thank you for your kind words Ma'am." Ren replied making the woman sigh and playfully hit him in the arm.
"Lighten up! No need to act so stiff at all times, you're gonna scare all the ladies away." Himeko said with a grin.
"With all due respect, I'm pretty sure that no one will be even attracted to me," Ren replied as the two entered an elevator. Once the two were in, Himeko pressed the button to the training area. "Besides, I'd rather help you score on your dates, after all, "our life is already hard as it is, we should at least focus on having fun and helping others," Isn't that right?"
Hearing his words made the woman chuckle and shake her head.
"Flattery won't help you in making me lessen our duties. But your help is noted." Himeko said seriously as the two broke out into some chuckles.
Once the two reached the level they were on, A beautiful young woman of around 16 ran towards them.
"Captain Himeko, the teams are ready." She said with a salute. She was dressed in a uniform like the other two were, she has bluish-purple hair with sky blue eyes and fair skin.
"I see, thank you for preparing the teams," Himeko said with a smile. Dark eyes met with sky blue as Ren and the girl looked at each other. The girl's muscles tensed while Ren's eyes sharpened. "Oh, before I forget. Specialist Ren Cruz, I want you to meet your partner for this operation. This is Specialist Fu Hua. I'll let you two get acquainted at first." Himeko said with a smile. "Now, stay here for ten minutes and talk with each other." After telling them her order, Himeko walked ahead of them as the two teens sighed and looked at each other.
"So, you are Lieutenant Kevin's Protege. I was expecting someone... Taller." Fu Hua said, the awkwardness between the two increasing by the second.
"You must be Captain Himeko's protege. You're... smaller than I imagined." Ren awkwardly replied as the two looked at each other, sky blue narrowed slightly in irritation.
Vision end
The children now smiled as they ran through the garden.
Vision 3
"Fu Hua! Calm down!" Ren shouted as he used his hands to catch the girl's hands.
"Damn it! Move out of my way!" Fu Hua shouted as she found herself caught in a lock from Ren's arms.
"Damn it! Ren, Captain was..." Tears fell from the girl's eyes as she looked at him.
"I know... Captain Himeko... she is my friend as well as a mentor to me." Ren said as he looked at Fu Hua and let her go. He watched as she hit the floor with her fists. Just like her, Reinhardt could see the hurt and sorrow in his eyes, yet he refused to show it.
"Why?!" Fu Hua shouted, unable to bear it anymore, Ren knelt down and hugged Fu Hua.
"Shh... Let it all out. I'll be here." Ren whispered to her ear as he embraced her.
'The Honkai must die. THey mUsT DiE. DIE. DIE. DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE.' Dark eyes slowly bled into purple as his thoughts started to come out of control. At the same time, Fu Hua's eyes turned red. The stimuli from the event fully awakened the phoenix and it caused the lotus to finally start its bloom.'
Vision end
Tears fell from Reinhardt's eyes as the two arrived near the gate just in time for the last vision.
Last vision
"Ren. You know that forcing yourself to be by my side will only do you more harm than good, right?" Looking at the scene, Reinhardt could see both Ren and Kevin. Ren was dressed in extreme cold-weather gear.
"You're not going to get rid of me that easily, Captain Kevin," Ren said with a smirk as he sat down beside him, the two were inside a cafeteria of some sort. "Besides, Dr. SU will be joining us soon, after he finished buying his meal."
"You know that I'm no longer your captain. You're a second lieutenant now," Kevin said with a sigh.
"No matter what happens, you're still my captain," Ren said with a smile as he started to dig into his food. "Besides, being near you has its benefits, like not worrying about the heat in the deserts and stuff."
"So, you're staying with me because it's convenient?" Kevin asked with a raised brow although, a smile appeared on his face.
"And the fact that you were the one that saved me back then," Ren answered as he took out a medallion of some sort. "And just what we promised back then." Ren said with a smile as the two started to recite those words of brotherhood.
"A Cruz and a Kaslana will always be by each other's side, no matter what the reason nor the era." Ren and Kevin both smiled at each other.
Vision end
As the Vision faded, tears fell from Reinhardt's eyes. Achilles, the boy who guided him, stopped as they neared the gate.
"What's wrong?" The boy asked his new friend while Achilles smiled.
"This is as far as I go." Achilles said as he looked at Reinhardt.
"But..." Reinhardt said before stopping as Achilles patted his head.
"Enough of that, you shouldn't be moping like this." Holding his hand up, Achilles caught the shield that followed the two of them all this time. "Here, I want you to have this. This is my gift to you." Achilles said as he handed Reinhardt the shield.
"Ooh, shiny!" Reinhardt said with a smile as his eyes shone brightly at the sight of the shield on his hands.
"As expected." Achilles said with a smile as he started to fade. "I will be watching over you and I hope that your life will be fulfilling, 我亲爱的后代" Achilles said as he disappeared from view via golden motes and entered the shield.
"Huh? Achilles? Where are you?" Reinhardt asked as he looked around and tilted his head.
"Go outside, you will meet a new friend." Achilles' voice said from the shield making the young boy nod.
Seeing a pair of men, the familiar graying black hair of the man dressed in a brown long coat alongside the man wearing a dark blue one. Carrying his new shield in his arms, the young boy of ten smiled.
"Father!" Reinhardt called out with a smile while he waved his arms and ran towards the adults. The one wearing a brown coat turned around and smiled at his son only for his eyes to widen at the sight of the shield.
"Rein... where did you get that shield?" His father asked him.
"Ooh, this new friend of mine gave it to me," Reinhardt answered with a smile as he showed the older man his new shield.
"I see..." His father said as the man with white hair's eyes widened slightly at the shield. Nodding at each other, the adults smiled at him.
"Oh, Hello Sir Francis." Reinhardt said with a smile aimed at the albino.
"Hello, little braver," Francis said with a smile. "I want you to meet someone. Sweetie, you can come out now." From the carriage, a beautiful young girl around his age came out and ran to the side of the sir with a smile. Seeing the boy, Blue eyes met with dark brown.
"Hello! I'm Kallen, Kallen Kaslana. Nice to meet you!" Kallen said with a smile as she looked at Reinhardt. Her blue eyes made him remember something from his vision
"I'm Reinhardt, Reinhard Crozzo." Reinhardt said with a smile.
A new bond between a Kaslana and a Crus (Crozzo) has been formed.
Off to the side, the adults looked at the kids with a smile, yet they both knew one thing.
"Why... why did the shield of peril choose you?" Reinhardt's father said with sad eyes as he looked at his youngest son. "Why... why did you have to be the next Siege Perilous."
I'm back!
So, currently, the story has reached the time 1400's.
Now, as you might know, and read by now, Ren and Fu Hua have a son. His name is Achilles Hua-Cruz. He is a designer baby made by DR. MEI from Ren and Fu Hua's DNA as an experiment for a secret.
Achilles' line 我亲爱的后代 roughly translates to something.
And oh, what is this?
How did Reinhardt have those visions?
Why did He have those visions?
Why did Reinhardt's father call the shield, the shield of Peril?
What will happen to Kallen and Reinhardt?
What is the reason why their fathers meet that day?
What will happen to the certain simp that will not be named?

I have initially thought of having Otto meet Reinhardt first but, I guess this will be fun to write. After all, this won't be a Honkai fic if there was no one that will suffer, right?

I have already made some plans about the current era, you know, the one with our favorite blue-eyes white tuna. Let's just say, that the scene as to how the anchor was made is gonna heartwrenching and sad. Let's say... that the only happy thing that will happen for a long time is Ren and Fu Hua. (which is well-deserved as the two of them have lived and sacrificed a lot after several millennia worth of hard work,
Side note: I love the Elf academy O.P. it's so cute along with the E.d. it's nice to see Sirin so happy. Also, what the hell was that episode? Hahaha, magical girl Lolibaba Teriri and the massacre. I also watched cooking with Valkyries and it was so adorable.
