The Adventures of Anna Stoppable: Anna and Shego
Disclaimer: All the Kim Possible characters belong to Disney. The original character, Anna Stoppable, is of my own creation.
A/N: This takes a few months before: The Adventures of Anna Stoppable: Anna's Twin.
It was Friday of March 28th, 2006 at 6:30 pm as Anna Stoppable was in the living room of the Stoppable townhouse in Broy, New York.
Just then, Anna heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
She got up from the couch she was sitting on and turned to see her parents, Kim and Ron Stoppable, all dressed up for the evening.
Kim was wearing a red cocktail dress, black patent 2-inch heel shoes with ankle straps, emerald stud earrings, and a pearl necklace. She also had her hair in a ponytail.
Ron on the other hand wore a red short-sleeve collared shirt, blue jeans, and black penny Loafers.
Anna smiled, "Mom. Dad. You two look great!"
Kim and Ron looked at Anna and smiled.
"Why thank you, Anna," Kim said, appreciating her daughter's comment.
"So, where are you guys going?" Anna asked.
"Your father and I will be seeing a movie and going for a stroll in the park afterwards," Kim replied.
"Will you be alright with just the two of us going out?" Ron asked.
"Dad, it's okay," Anna assured. "But that depends on who's babysitting tonight."
Just then, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," Kim announced. She then walked up to the front door and opened it, revealing their friend and former enemy, Sheila Lipsky (a.k.a. Shego).
"Glad you could make it, Sheila," Kim said with a smile.
"I'm glad I could make it too," Sheila said with an identical smile.
"Come on in," Kim said, standing aside to let Sheila in.
Sheila walked in, noticed Anna, and waved, "Hey, Annie."
Anna waved back, "Hey, Sheila. How are you?"
"I've been doing great," Sheila said. "How about you?"
"I've been tappy," Anna said with a giggle.
Sheila chuckled, "Always obsessed with tap dancing, aren't you?"
"I always am," Anna said with a nod.
Kim looked at the clock on the wall and spoke to Anna, "Anna, your father and I are heading out."
Anna turned to her parents and waved, "I'll see you and Dad later."
Ron turned to Sheila and said, "Be nice to AC, ok?"
"Don't worry, Stoppable, I will," Sheila assured.
With that, Kim and Ron walked out the door and closed it behind them.
Soon after Kim and Ron walked out the door, Sheila turned her attention to Anna.
"So, Annie, do you wanna watch one of your movies with tap dancing in it?" Sheila asked.
Anna nodded, "I do, if you don't mind."
"I don't mind at all," Sheila said, shaking her head.
Anna then walked up to the DVD shelf and pulled out a DVD.
"We'll watch, 42nd Street," Anna announced before putting the DVD into the DVD player and turning on the TV.
Sheila then sat down on the couch facing the TV as Anna walked on over and sat down next to her.
Sheila soon looked around, "So, Annie, where's Ike?"
"He's upstairs with, Mamie," Anna replied.
"Again?" Sheila asked. Anna nodded. "Those two dogs really love each other."
"They do," Anna said with a nod. A question soon popped into Anna's head before she asked. "So, Sheila, how are things going between you and Drew?"
"They've been great," Sheila commented with a smile.
"I'm still amazed you and Drew went straight and chose to get together," Anna commented.
"I still find it quite a surprise," Sheila commented. "Since no one would take us seriously as villains anymore, we decided to go on to other things. During the ceremony where Drew received a medal for his heroism, his vines wrapped around me and him."
"So, that told you how he felt about you?" Anna asked.
"Indeed," Sheila replied. "And I felt the same way towards him."
"Then you both decided to start dating and later get married in Vegas like my adoptive Mom and Dad," Anna speculated.
"You guessed right," Sheila said, confirming Anna's speculation. She then asked. "So, Annie, I've been meaning to ask you... how did you end up being adopted by Kimmie and Ronnie?"
Anna frowned, "My biological parents and brother were killed during the Lorwardian Invasion. My future adoptive parents found me and for a week, we explored Norway together before they dropped me off at the, Oslo Home for Children, in Norway's capital city of Oslo. For the next few weeks, I endured misery from people calling me, Little Orphan Annie, and the absence of Kim and Ron. I then begged the head of the orphanage to contact Kim and Ron and have them adopt me. She contacted the parents of Kim who then gave her and Ron permission to adopt me. When I heard the news, I was the happiest girl in the world. But it was short-lived when I was kidnapped by Professor Dementor's henchmen. During the kidnapping, I escaped and ended up saving my future adoptive parents who ended up being captured by Dementor trying to rescue me and defeat said villain. Afterward, we went to the orphanage and had the head of the orphanage arrested; she was Dementor's aunt and had an assist in my kidnapping. Soon after, I was adopted and I've been calling Kim and Ron, Mom and Dad, ever since."
"I'm so sorry for the loss of your biological family," Sheila said with sympathy. "If you should know, I too lost family. My parents died in a car accident and it was just me and my brothers afterwards before we got hit by that rainbow-colored comet that gave us superpowers."
"I'm so sorry for the loss of your parents," Anna said with sympathy.
She then gave Sheila a hug.
Sheila hugged Anna back.
The two then broke the hug before Sheila asked, "Another question, what made you take a liking to tap dancing?"
Anna smiled, "When I was two years old, I received my first pair of tap shoes. I really liked the noise they made and I've fallen in love with tap dancing ever since. I started taking lessons a year later and, over the years, I've become a professional. I won almost every dance contest and school talent show I've ever participated in." Anna took a breath before continuing. "What I like about tap dancing is that you get to make music with your feet and get in a good workout. It can also help keep ill emotions down to a minimum. For times when my brother gave me a hard time, tap dancing has enabled me to keep my cool."
"Did you try other forms of dance?" Sheila asked.
"I tried Jazz, Hip Hop, and Ballet," Anna replied. "But I stopped taking them after one class. In fact, ballet made me hurl from all that twirling."
"Ballet make you puke?" Sheila asked. Anna nodded. "It didn't make me puke."
"You took ballet?" Anna asked.
"I did." Sheila replied. "Before my parents died, they signed me up for ballet class to help me keep my attitude in check since my brothers drove me crazy. But I didn't like ballet and stopped taking it after a couple weeks."
"And since you didn't have the perfect release, your anger consumed you and caused you to descend into villainy," Anna speculated.
"Now that you mentioned it," Sheila spoke. "I probably wouldn't've descended into villainy had I had the perfect release. Nowadays, even though I've gone straight, I still could use a perfect release."
Anna soon thought of something and spoke, "You know, it's never too late to learn how to tap dance."
"I don't know…" Sheila said, awkwardly.
Anna gave a puppy-dog pout, "It would be really fun."
"You learned the puppy-dog pout?" Sheila asked in disbelief.
"I did," Anna said with a nod. "And I guarantee, tap will be the perfect release for you."
Sheila sighed, "Okay, I'll do it."
Anna's face returned to normal and cheered, "Great!"
She then got onto her wrist Annamunicator.
"What are you doing?" Sheila asked.
"I'm getting on Lapezio's website to find and order you a pair of tap shoes," Anna replied as she touched the screen a few times. "There. Now, the shoes should be here right…"
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
"Now," Anna finished.
She then got up from the couch, walked up to the door, and opened it to find a deliveryman holding a shoebox-sized package.
"Anna Stoppable?" The deliveryman asked.
"That's me," Anna replied.
The deliveryman handed Anna the package before the latter took it into her hands.
"Thanks," Anna said. "Have a nice night."
"You too," The deliveryman said as he walked back to his delivery truck.
Anna closed the door, walked back to the living room, and set the package down on the table.
"They're here already?" Sheila asked.
"That's the power of Lapezio's instant delivery," Anna replied.
She then removed the tape from the top of the package before opening the package to reveal a shoebox with the Lapezio logo on it.
"Do you always get your shoes from Lapezio?" Sheila asked.
"I mostly do," Anna replied. "I even work for Lapezio testing out tap shoes and dancewear. I'm also a model for them as well. In fact, as an employee, I get a huge discount on dancewear and shoes."
She then pulled the shoebox from the package and handed it to Sheila.
Sheila took the shoebox onto her lap, removed the lid to find a pair of black and green lace-up tap shoes that looked like they were made of both leather and suede and had heels that looked like they were made entirely of stainless steel. What really caught Sheila's eye was that in each shoe, there was Anna's first and last name.
"They named a tap shoe after you?" Sheila asked.
"They sure did," Anna replied. "The Anna Stoppable tap shoes are a revolutionary and very popular tap shoe ideal for both beginners and experts."
"Why are they in black and green?" Sheila asked.
"I know that black and green are the colors you wore on your old uniform so I decided to customize the shoes as a nod to it," Anna replied.
"Thanks, Annie," Sheila said in appreciation.
"You're welcome," Anna said, happily. "Now, let's go upstairs and I can teach you how to tap."
"What about the movie?" Shelia asked.
"We'll watch it another time," Anna replied as she flipped off the TV.
"One more question," Sheila spoke. She then asked. "Why are you wearing a school uniform? Doesn't it feel uncomfortable?"
Anna looked down at what she was wearing. She was wearing a white long-sleeve collared shirt, black vest with the Henry Hudson Preparatory school logo on it, blue tie, plaid skirt, black tights, and black patent Mary Jane shoes.
She then looked back up at Sheila, "I go to private school and I love wearing the school uniform. It doesn't feel uncomfortable at all. I've grown used to wearing it and it looks like a great dance costume. Except for missions, extracurricular activities, and when my parents tell me not to wear it I always wear it."
"Even on weekends and vacations?" Sheila asked in disbelief.
"Even on weekends and vacations," Anna replied. "Now, let's go on upstairs and I can teach you tap."
A few minutes later, Sheila was upstairs in Anna's dance studio putting on the tap shoes Anna got her.
Just then, the door to Anna's bedroom opened, revealing Anna still wearing her school uniform, only she was wearing black lace-up tap shoes in place of her Mary Jane shoes.
Ike and Mamie followed her into the dance studio.
"I take it Ike and Mamie want to watch us?" Sheila asked.
"They always love watching tap dancers," Anna replied.
Sheila finished tying the laces of her tap shoes as she asked, "How did you know my shoe size?"
"I have the ability to figure out peoples' shoe sizes without looking at the back of the shoe tongue where the shoe size label is," Anna replied. "I don't know why, I just do."
Sheila stood up and looked around, "You must be really lucky to have a large dance studio."
"I am," Anna said with a nod. "It makes up half the third floor of the townhouse while my bedroom and bathroom make up the other half of the third floor."
"A floor all to yourself?" Sheila asked in disbelief. Anna nodded. "You're even luckier than I thought."
"Yeah," Anna said. She then asked. "Now, shall we get dancing?"
"Of course," Sheila replied.
The two then turned to face the studio's giant mirror.
"Okay," Anna began. "First we're gonna start off with a shuffle."
Later, at 9:30 pm, Kim and Ron entered the townhouse with smiles on their faces.
"That was amazing," Kim commented.
"Always nice for us to spend an evening together," Ron commented. He then cooed. "Just you and me."
Kim draped her arms around Ron's shoulders, "Yeah."
Ron then looked around, "Where is, AC?"
"Probably upstairs," Kim speculated. "And Sheila must be up there with her."
"Let's go upstairs and see what the sitch is," Ron suggested.
With that said, Kim and Ron walked up the stairs.
Once Kim and Ron reached the third floor, they heard the sound of tap dancing. They soon noticed Anna's bedroom door open, as well as the door between the bedroom and the dance studio open.
Kim and Ron walked through the bedroom and into the dance studio to notice Sheila tap dancing with Anna, Ike, and Mamie watching her!
"KP, is it me or is Sheila tap dancing?" Ron asked.
"It sure looks like it," Kim replied. "And she's doing excellent."
Soon, Sheila stopped tap dancing.
Kim and Ron decided to give Sheila a round of applause.
Sheila, Anna, Ike, and Mamie heard Kim and Ron's applause and turned towards them.
"Hey, Mom. Hey, Dad," Anna waved.
"Hey guys," Shego said, happily.
Kim looked at Sheila, "Did, Anna, give you the dancing bug?"
"She did!" Sheila answered, happily. "I have to admit, I haven't had so much fun in my life!"
"Sheila, are you okay?" Ron asked Sheila with concern. "You didn't get hit by the Attitudinator, again, did you?"
"Ronnie, I'm okay," Sheila assured. "I've been looking for a release for years and Annie just helped me find it."
"We saw the last few seconds of your tap dance," Kim said. "You did great!"
"Thanks," Sheila said, happily.
Anna stepped forward and asked Sheila, "Wanna do a tap dance duet?"
"That sounds great!" Sheila replied, happily.
Anna and Sheila took positions next to each other as Kim and Ron sat down on the floor with Ike and Mamie.
Anna and Sheila started tap dancing soon after.
The End
A/N: The idea of an Anna Stoppable story about Anna becoming friends with Shego and teaching her how to tap dance has been on my mind for some time and I needed to get it out of my head.
I hope you enjoyed the story.
