From Buffy's love interests, Spike is my favorite. While I'm not a supporter of Buffy/Angel, I can take it in the first two seasons, even though the only real draw to it is the forbidden love aspect and the chemistry between Sarah and David, after that, they just regress to lovesick puppies and eventually bringing out the worst in each other, plus, Angel doesn't respect Buffy enough to let her make her own decisions and often babies her. Buffy/Spike in Seasons 5-6 was just toxic and messy, plus most of the time Buffy treated Spike like crap but Spike trying to rape her was just horrible but at least it was a wake-up call for him to get a soul and be the man Buffy could love, so in Season 7 they eventually won me over, but the continuing love triangle with Angel/Buffy/Spike, even in the follow-up comics later, just hit my nerves and the excuse for "When there's no crisis, it just doesn't work." for Buffy/Spike was just an excuse from Whedon to continue the love triangle.
Also, in this fic, Tara is also resurrected and back with Willow, who had broken up with Kennedy, who later left the Scoobies and Buffy's Slayer squad to form her own. While Kennedy is far from my favorite character in Buffyverse, in the show at least, is a lot better in comics, despite that some of her bratty personality still remains, she at least also matured to an extent and has some respect for Buffy and is good friend with Satsu too, since she had advised Satsu to move on from Buffy after they had broken up. The show's Kennedy, I find her just as annoying as Robin or Andrew, Riley I like a little more than them. In the comics, I like Kennedy more than Robin or Andrew and maybe a little more than Riley, since even in the comics, unlike Kennedy, the other three didn't really change at all, if only very little.
Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
In one of the islands in Japan, Buffy had turned her head to see Satsu's sleeping form snuggling towards her beneath the covers of the bed as the sunlight shined into the bedroom of their shared house. Buffy kissed Satsu as Satsu moaned softly as her eyes started to open slowly.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." Buffy said.
"If I'm dreaming, don't wake me up." Satsu said as she smiled at Buffy.
"Would a good breakfast make you feel better?" Buffy offered as they got up before entering the bathroom and turning on the shower. Buffy turned on the warm water as it washed down the skin of their bodies as they kissed again, while Satsu poured a handful of soap on her and Buffy's hands as they started to rub each others' skin and hair to wash off the sweat from the previous night. They took their time with each other as they were making out and making sure they had washed every inch of each others' bodies, while kissing and moaning softly in pleasure, while Buffy ran her hands down Satsu's breasts, while kissing her on the neck, while Satsu kissed her on her cheek, while rubbing Buffy's back as they continued making love.
Later, the girls were in the kitchen in their nightrobes, eating omelette and fried bacon and toasts and drinking orange juice. Willow, Tara, Dawn and Faith also came to visit, with Willow and Tara also enjoying each others' company and sending not-so-discreet signals to each other, while Dawn was eating a bowl of cereals and milk, happy to be with her family. While Dawn and the rest of the Scoobies, outside of Faith, who was amused, if nothing else, were weirded out by Buffy being in a relationship with a girl, they could see that Buffy and Satsu were happy with each other, though they wondered for how long they were going to last, considering that their Slayer duties might lead them in different directions.
At the lake, the girls were all in bikini, while Buffy had decided to go buy some food as Willow, Tara, Dawn and Satsu were tanning before Willow and Tara turned to Satsu.
"Are you two happy with each other?" Tara asked.
"Yeah. We are." Satsu said.
"Good. I think you two are fine for each other." Dawn said. "I just hope you know what you're doing, I mean, she's your leader and—"
"I know. I know." Satsu nodded.
"OK." Tara said.
"Good. Now. What's she like in the sack?" Willow asked.
"What?" Satsu gasped, blushing, flabbergasted.
"Do you know how long I've wondered about this? Don't hold out on us, sister. How good is she in the bed with girls?" Tara insisted as the other girls neared her.
"I'm not telling you anything!" Satsu protested in embarrassment.
"Oh, yes, you are!" Faith said, just as curious.
"Did she make that high-pitch squeal?" Dawn asked. "I call it 'shoe-sale noise…'"
"Well, I…" Satsu trailed off, clearly uncomfortable with their advances before they turned to see Buffy approached with a basket of groceries. "Oh, hey, Buffy!"
"Hey." Buffy said as Willow, Tara and Dawn looked clearly sheepish and Faith tried to suppress the smirk on her face. If Buffy had known what were they talking about, they would be in for it already. Buffy noticed their nervous and embarrassed looks as she looked confused. "Everything OK?"
"Ye-e-e-ah." Willow said nervously.
"Sure…" Tara said slowly.
"Why wouldn't it?" Dawn said, laughing awkwardly as Buffy turned to Satsu, who waved her hand, gesturing for Buffy not worry as Buffy shrugged and laid down next to Satsu as both girls kissed.
Later at night, Buffy and Satsu were in their bedroom, kissing, while stripping each other of their clothes and scattering them around on the floor and pressing each other's naked bodies against each other as they laid down on the bed with the soft moans of pleasure escaping their mouths and tasting each other's skin with their mouths as well as they ran their hands down each other's arms and gently rubbing their breasts and abdomens and then running their hands down towards each others' legs and in between until both of them were tired and wet with sweat as they both laid down.
"Wow…" Buffy panted out.
"I have to ask, is it also great with men?" Satsu asked.
"That depends… but it can be." Buffy noted.
"Might try it out, even though I'm not into them." Satsu admitted.
"So you've grown tired of me?" Buffy asked with feigned hurt.
"Oh, you wanna see how tired I am? Let me show you." Satsu said with a smirk and next thing Buffy knew, Satsu lunged at her as they rolled over the bed and hit the floor with a grunt as both girls giggled and engaged in a passionate kiss and their lovemaking session had become fiercer than before as Satsu pulled away. "If this is our last night, I want to make it worth it and make it last as long as I can."
"Then what are you waiting for?" Buffy asked as she grabbed Satsu by her neck and pulled in for another kiss, while they ran their hands down the shoulders and arms of each other.
The following day, Buffy, Willow, Tara, Faith and Dawn said goodbye to Satsu and her Slayer colleagues as Buffy kissed Satsu one last time and then they sailed away on a boat. While Buffy cared about Satsu, she didn't love her the way Satsu loved her and deep down she knew that her and Satsu were not going to last. Few weeks later, Buffy learned that Satsu had joined Kennedy's group and while Buffy and Kennedy had more or less made amends last time they met, when Kennedy admitted that she was happier and better off on her own than with Willow and with the Scooby Gang and Buffy's Slayer group, though seeing her ex with someone Buffy didn't exactly see eye-to-eye was strange, to say the least.
One night, Buffy was on a patrol, when she noticed a blonde man in a familiar leather jacket and red shirt creeping in the shadows. Buffy took a closer look and couldn't believe her eyes as the man smiled at her kindly.
"Hello, Buffy." Spike said.
Buffy felt her heart being crushed as she stared in disbelief and breathed out before she neared him and touched his face gently to be sure she was not imagining him or that it was not the First again. After being sure, they kissed passionately and hugged, happy to be reunited again.
While Buffy/Satsu was a bit weird to me at first, Whedon wasn't at least doing some pandering BS like how Arrowverse writers do, even though I don't have a high opinion on the guy these days but I can understand experimenting and going through the phase, plus, I wouldn't have minded Buffy/Faith either after BTVS Season 4/Angel Season 1 or post-BTVS Season 7. Buffy/Satsu was IMO destined to be a short-time deal either way, but they should've handled their breakup better, while they had a healthy breakup and goodbye sex, the fact that Satsu later saw Buffy and Angel making out, while they were both magically whammied by Twilight, leaving her hurt, was just stupid as hell, alongside Whedon continuing the stupid Buffy/Angel BS in comics.
Now, if something like this had happened in comics, I'd be OK with it. Like I said, Buffy/Satsu was probably always going to be a short-time thing but the Bangel crap later, where everyone, Satsu included, saw them screwing each other while making a new universe, when they were both magically whammied by Twilight was stupid as hell.
Frankly, I personally wouldn't mind Kennedy/Satsu, since I've read one fic with this pairing and I think Satsu could actually be good influence on Kennedy and Kennedy was better in comic books anyway, even though she became cheap Wesley, with her forming her own Slayer company called Deepscan to help other Slayers. If Spike had returned and actually decided to stay with Buffy, instead of them breaking up later due to the stupid "no crisis" excuse, I'd be fine with it.
So, what do you guys think?
Please review and let me know if you have enjoyed this one-shot.
