Got this idea from gammaxmen80's comment on my Hobbit/Buffyverse crossover so thank you to them, and thank you to Brainstorm Sorcerer for the scenario here.

Warren, Andrew and Jonathan were back in their base after having stolen the diamond from the museum and having frozen the security guard over there.

Andrew and Jonathan stood together near the door as Warren gloated. "Now we are expert thieves!"

"And powerful ones too!" Andrew added. "We shall rule this town!"

"It shall all be ours", Jonathan nodded, though he seemed hesitant in comparison to the other two.

Suddenly, the door froze, and before anyone could react, it shattered into pieces, the ice shards piercing both Jonathan and Andrew at various spots as both moaned in pain, with Andrew even having a shard through his 'sensitive' area, and he was crying.

Then in walked Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold, in his usual getup, walking past the two moaning idiots, and glared at Warren, holding up his Cold Gun as he quipped. "Don't you know it's rude to steal a thief's gimmick?"

"Captain Cold?" Warren asked in horror, knowing who he was.

Leonard had come to Sunnydale to steal the same diamond the Trio had gotten, and had seen them getting out of the museum, holding some kind of gun, and he'd gone inside to see the guard frozen, which had infuriated him.

These idiots had stolen the diamond, and his gimmick!

So he had followed them to their base, and now here he was.

Warren started taking out his own as Snart quipped. "Freeze Ray and morons, meet the Cold Gun."

Before Warren could do a thing, Snart fired his Cold Gun, and it hit Warren, killing him as he fell down, dead, and Snart looked around, getting the diamond, which he held up in front of the moaning Jonathan and Andrew. "I'll be taking this, can't let you take what I want now, can I?"

Then he shrugged and froze Andrew as well, killing him on the spot, before turning to Jonathan, who paled in horror, preparing for his end, but Snart lowered his Cold Gun.

Then he raised it and turning around, froze Warren's gun, and then shattered it, before turning back to Jonathan.

"You go tell the other thieves in town not to steal my gimmick", Snart told Jonathan, walking past him and pushing him down, leaving him alive but in pain.

I used Wentworth's Snart from Flash since he's so awesome but Captain Cold and Heatwave as characters did exist in DC comics for a long time, so they'd exist before Buffy was a thing.
