Chapter 10- Fight at the Monastery
Runeterra, Ionia, outskirts of the Hirana Monastery
The Noxian leader carefully watched from the bushes as the blonde woman, the Ionian monk and the burly Freljordian walked forward. Oh this would be very easy. There was no way any of them could stand against the might of Noxus.
He stepped out of his hiding spot and faced the three of them.
"I don't think so," he smirked. "We have you surrounded. Best to surrender."
The blonde woman clenched her fists in anger and stepped forward, leveling a glare towards the Noxian.
"Come on then. Let's see what you've got."
The Noxian leader smirked as he stepped forward to face the blonde woman. He had ambushed her and her allies. Defeating them would be a piece of cake.
"You sure you can take me, little girl?" he asked arrogantly.
Sara stared at him blankly for a few moments before throwing a punch that staggered him back.
The leader angrily backhanded Sara, then punched her in the face, slightly staggering her.
Sara then ducked to avoid a swing and in a spin motion, elbowed the leader in the abdomen, and then straightening, punched his face hard, sending the leader back from the blow.
Sara then deflected a kick from the man before leaning back to avoid a spin kick. The Noxian tried to kick again but Sara kicked faster, hitting his thigh and making him fall down.
Leaping over him, she climbed on top and began punching him repeatedly. Several soldiers tried to attack, but Lee Sin spin kicked one in the face.
Udyr let out a roar of primal rage and head-butted a Noxian in the face, making him fall down, as if he'd been hit with a brick.
Sara punched the leader in the face, knocking him out at last.
"We are close to the Monastery. Follow me!" Lee Sin said, beginning to take off towards the mountains.
Udyr and Sara followed at a brisk pace, the two running, eventually reaching the entrance to it.
"It is hidden behind them." Lee Sin reported, leading them through the mountains.
"We are close." Udyr said, sensing ancient magic nearby.
Sara looked around, her eyes noticing some steps leading up and above.
"Ummm, there are steps." She pointed to her left.
"That is a secret entrance to the Monastery. Follow me." Lee Sin said, beginning to climb the steps that lead up the side of the mountain.
After what felt like hours, Sara, Lee Sin and Udyr finally found themselves facing an Asian style temple up ahead.
"Here we are at last." Lee Sin said, though he didn't sound excited. There were traces of concern in his voice.
"The Noxians are not far behind us." Udyr said.
At that moment, a rocket sailed through the air and crashed into the mountain, blowing part of it to rubble.
"Never mind that; they are here." Udyr groaned and took off running towards the temple.
Out of all three, Sara was the slowest, but she was more than capable of keeping up with the Monk and the Spirit Walker.
As they arrived at a stone pathway that led up to the temple, almost a dozen Noxian soldiers arrived behind them.
"Lee, fetch help." Sara calmly said, facing the soldiers. Lee Sin looked at Sara and Udyr with worry but eventually nodded and sprinted towards the temple.
"You deal with the big guy. We've got the princess." A Noxian said, gesturing to 8 guys as the rest moved to fight Udyr.
Sara threw off her cloak and got into a fighting stance.
"Give your best shot." She said, getting into a fighting stance.
"Oh little girl, I am going to enjoy this." The Noxian said, shrugging off his armor.
"Ben, are you sure you will be able to handle this girl?" another Noxian asked.
"Of course I can." Ben smirked.
He tried to punch a few times but Sara blocked and spin kicked but he backed to avoid.
Ben then blocked another punch while Sara backed to avoid one from him, then kicked Ben who blocked as well.
Ben then tried to hit in a spin motion as Sara ducked to avoid and Ben tried to kick as Sara blocked before ducking to avoid a punch, and tried to kick again as Ben blocked.
The two continued deflecting each other's punches before Sara ducked and got on Ben's other side. Sara then blocked another blow and tried to kick as Ben dodged.
"Are you even trying? Fuck her up!" another soldier called out.
Ben smirked and tried to punch but Sara deflected it and then kicked him in a spin motion.
"Actually try to hit me next time." Sara smirked.
Ben growled and threw a punch that Sara avoided. Leaping up, she kicked Ben in the chest with both feet, lightly staggering him.
Sara flipped up as Ben punched her in the face and it lit up with pain. Sara shrugged it off though.
Sara swung but Ben ducked to avoid and she brought her elbow down but that was blocked as well.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kneed him a few times in the abdomen, before he grabbed her by her legs and flipped her over him. Sara hit the ground and gasped as the wind was knocked from her lungs.
Ben tried to punch but Sara rolled her away and threw a punch. Ben punched a few times but Sara spun away to avoid.
"You're a pretty good fighter." He commented as Sara wiped some blood from her mouth.
"And you're still an asshole." She quipped. Ben roared in anger and tried to spin kick but Sara ducked and then flipped to his other side.
Ben rushed at her with a series of punches that Sara blocked. As he swung, she grabbed his arm and kicked him in the face.
Ben freed himself and punched her twice before kicking her knee, slightly staggering her.
As Sara threw another punch, Ben ducked and punched her in the ribs, making pain jolt through her entire body.
Sara staggered and then flipped, kicking Ben in the face, staggering him back.
Ben swung but Sara ducked to avoid and leaping, kicked Ben in the back of the head, sending him staggering away.
As Ben turned to Sara, Sara tried to spin kick which Ben ducked to avoid but Sara spun in the air again and managed to kick him, sending him crashing into a pillar and falling down.
Sara spat some blood onto the ground and then turned to face the other soldiers.
"You boys want some?" she gave a bloodied grin.
The soldiers traded looks before one rushed in. Sara blocked his strike and kicked him in the face. She ducked and gave another an uppercut.
As another punched, Sara deflected it and kneed him in the face, breaking his nose.
As Sara turned, she was slashed across the arm by a sword, drawing blood and making her hiss in fiery pain.
The soldier charged and punched her in the face, actually sending her flying back several feet. Sara recovered and began fighting, punching and then spin kicking him in the face.
Sara was head-butted hard, making pain shoot throughout her entire face. She growled and punched the soldier hard before flipping and bringing her feet down on his head.
Sara flipped back up and then proceeded to punch him several times in the face and abdomen.
She gave the soldier a really hard punch to the face that made blood spray from his mouth. Flipping, she kicked him in the face, taking him out of the fight.
Another soldier ducked under her punch and sliced her abdomen, making Sara gasp and grip her abdomen and blood leaked through her fingers and she slumped to her knees.
The soldier was about to bring his sword down on her when someone kicked him in the head.
Sara groggily looked up to see Lee Sin facing her, a grim look on his face
"Get up, Sara." He said in a deathly calm voice.
A loud roar was heard and Sara turned to see Udyr head-butting a soldier in the face.
Sara got up and picked up a fallen sword, giving it a few twirls.
A soldier began fighting Lee Sin as he expertly dodged his attacks.
The soldier charged and tried to strike but Lee Sin pushed his hands away and struck his chest, sending him back and damaging the armor.
The soldier leapt and charged again, pushing Lee Sin back until he planted his feet on the ground firmly.
Then Lee Sin flipped the soldier to the ground and punched his face hard and with a roar, punched it again.
The soldier got up and tried to attack again but Lee Sin used his superior skills to block all blows and punched him hard on the helmet, breaking a part of it.
The soldier tried to attack again but Lee Sin blocked all of his strikes and hit him on the chest multiple times, staggering him back and damaging his suit.
The soldier grabbed him but Lee Sin again struck his chest multiple times, staggering him back.
As the soldier struck again, Lee Sin twisted his arm and pushed him back before striking his chest multiple times and then kicked him in the chin, sending him back once more.
Sara blocked a strike and stabbed the soldier in the throat before spin slicing another down.
"RRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Udyr let out a loud roar as fire burst from his hands.
Several soldiers charged but Udyr stomped the ground hard. The ground cracked open and the Noxian soldiers were sent flying. Some flames emerged from the cracks too.
Sara flipped behind a soldier and stabbed him. Someone punched her in the face, making her spew blood.
Sara staggered and then flipped, kicking the soldier in the head, taking him down.
At that moment, Sara heard a blood-curdling scream and turned to see Lee Sin's entire body writhed in flames.
"What the fuck? Lee!" Sara shouted, rushing to help him but she was held back by Udyr.
"Don't. This is his fight." Udyr warned.
"AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Lee Sin let out a scream of pure agony as golden flames enveloped his body and slowly burnt his eyes to nothingness.
Several Noxian soldiers charged at him and Lee Sin stood up, beginning to unleash a flurry of punches and blazing kicks.
Sara watched in shear astonishment as Noxian soldiers began falling left, right and centre, all crippled by the now Blind Monk's attacks.
"Let's fight!" Udyr declared, leaping into the fray. Sara turned to see several dozen monks armed with staffs coming.
Sara sliced one soldier with her sword before twirling it to deflect another's strike.
Lee Sin spin kicked one soldier away easily and swept another's feet from underneath him.
Udyr punched one twice and leaping, kicked another away. Sara elbowed one in the face in a spin motion before blocking another's blow and knocking that one back with a punch of her own.
Lee Sin blocked another soldier's strike and struck his throat, making him gasp before Lee Sin spin kicked him away.
Sara charged at the soldiers, hitting one down with a staff, and then two more before leaping and kicking one away.
She then slammed the staff on another's head, taking him out too. Udyr punched one soldier, taking him down instantly, before back-handing another.
Lee Sin hit one soldier and elbowed him before grabbing another's arm and spin kicking another down. He then slammed the previous one down.
"Lee, are you okay?" Sara asked in concern.
"I will be." Lee Sin replied, though there was some pain in his voice.
Sara leapt up and kicked a soldier into a wall. She then kicked another before sweeping one's feet from underneath him, and then kicking another.
One came at her and she dodged his kick before knocking him out.
A soldier charged at her but got a knee to the gut, and then she grabbed another's foot while he was kicking and elbowed it, followed by his face, taking him out.
Udyr picked another up by the throat and threw him through a wall which crumbled. Lee Sin blocked and kicked another soldier in the chest.
Several monks began brawling with the Noxian soldiers, as the sound of swords and staffs clashing rang out.
Sara flipped in time to avoid a leg sweep and she elbowed the soldier in the throat, making him gasp in pain. She then flipped and kicked him out.
As Sara turned, she was sliced across the thigh by a blade and winced in pain, staggering as the wound began bleeding.
Sara barely blocked a punch but was hit by two more, which weakened her.
As the soldier was about to strike again, Udyr grasped his fist and slammed him to the ground.
"Are you okay?" Udyr asked Sara, looking at her in concern.
"I'll be fine." Sara smiled through bloodied teeth. Udyr held out his hand and Sara grasped it.
Lee Sin blocked a strike and threw the soldier into another, taking him down as well.
Two Noxians charged but Lee Sin flipped and kicked both of them, taking both down as well.
Udyr smashed his fist into another Noxian's face, knocking him out too, while a bleeding Sara stabbed another through the throat.
A crash was heard and Sara spun around to see part of the temple had come crashing to the ground from the huge fight.
Almost all the Noxians were defeated now. Lee Sin was panting, his body still covered in golden flames.
"We won." He said quietly.
"Yeah, we did." Udyr agreed.
"This…was awesome." Sara grinned, slurring her words slightly.
Udyr looked over in concern as the world began turning blurry.
Sara slumped to the ground, unconscious.
And this is done.
Hope all the fights were enjoyed in this, and now Lee Sin has become the Blind Monk.
Now his journey to becoming a true Legend as only just begun. And now Sara will become one too. As I have said earlier, in the present day, he is called The Great Lee Sin, and this story will show how and why.
I hope I did a good job of showing just how skilled Lee Sin is, and how powerful Udyr is as well.
Though I would say Sett is the best fighter in all of Ionia, and you'll see why as well *smirks*.
You are probably wondering why the Runeterran's are stronger than Sara, almost to a superhuman level, but I have an explanation for that, even though it has been confirmed that people from Runeterra are physically stronger than those from Earth.
Especially since some people on Runeterra can literally fight for weeks on end without tiring.
For those who were confused, Udyr was using the power of Ornn to fight the Noxians. Ornn is the second strongest Demigod on Runeterra.
Remember how in a previous chapter, I mentioned that Sara had a lot of scars and injuries? Well this story shows how.
Next chapter will involve some conversations and interactions, and will progress the plot further.
