This chapter will continue from the previous chapter and involve a lot of action, so hope all are excited for it.

Guest: Thanks for the review, glad it's great. If things go as planned, at least 27 more stories and since there are 10 right now, it'll be 37 in total. Yes, I will be doing Arcane in this story, though I want to see the show first. I am still deciding who will be Sara's love interests in this story, though I have a few champions in mind.

Chapter 16- As We Fall

Runeterra, Ionia, outskirts of Pallas

Sara sprinted through an open forest. She jumped over a rock and her feet splashed into the light stream. She could faintly hear the Noxian forces shouting.

She stumbled slightly and fell to her knees in the middle of the stream, the cold water providing a welcoming relief to the sweat running down her body.

"Oh this isn't going to end well." Sara muttered grimly to herself as she got up and rushed forward.

Hearing a whistling sound, Sara barely avoided an ax being thrown at her head and it impaled a nearby tree.

"Oh shit." She grunted, running up the stream, though the tumbling stones slowed her down quite a bit.

As Sara emerged onto a small cliff overlooking the surrounding forest, with a wooden tower far in the distance, Sara felt something and turned right as Darius tackled her with a roar.

Sara barely managed to avoid falling off the cliff as Darius punched the ground next to her head.

"I have had up to here with you." He muttered darkly.

"Nice to see you too." Sara quipped, headbutting him really hard.

She wrapped her legs around Darius' head as the two struggled, though the Hand of Noxus was significantly stronger than her.

Darius managed to flip her down and Sara briefly staggered, falling to one knee from shear exhaustion.

She barely blocked another strike and then kicked Darius in a spin motion, whipping his face slightly.

Darius in turn gave her a menacing glare and punched her really hard, making her spit out blood.

As Sara got up, Darius tackled her again, this time sending them over the cliff and into the river below.

Sara struggled against the much larger man as the two fought in the water. Sara threw her head above the water, gasping for air.

She finally managed to get loose from his grip and swam to the nearby shore, gasping for air as she felt weakened.

"Oh that was not fun." She groaned as some water spilt from her mouth.

Looking up slowly, she saw the tower in the distance and began staggering towards it.

Sara staggered into a stone courtyard. Some stone buildings surrounded it, and a well was up ahead, with a temple there too.

A huge mountain overlooked the open sea which stretched out endlessly. Sara slowly got up, her ribs throbbing in pain.

She walked forward, limping slightly as she did.

"SARA!"

She whipped around, seeing Darius throwing his ax at her and she barely avoided it. A few Noxian soldiers charged at the same time.

Anger fueled her motions and she back-handed the first before ducking to avoid a sword strike.

She punched him but winced as her bare knuckles hit the armor. She flipped up and kicked the Noxian soldier underneath his chin, knocking him back.

Sara ducked to avoid a soldier's strike and swept his feet from under him in a spin motion before spinning and stabbing another through the throat.

As another tried to attack from behind her, she kicked his knee, shattering it before Sara climbed over his body with her feet and flipped, ripping out her sword from the previous soldier in the process as she landed and twirled her sword.

As another tried to attack, Sara threw a knife, hitting him in the neck as he was taken out while another grabbed her in a chokehold from behind but she leapt and flipped, making them both fall down as the soldier groaned.

Sara elbowed him in the nose, knocking him out as she flipped up and ducked to avoid another strike before the man tried to kick but she grabbed his knee and twisted it, making him scream in pain as he fell down and Sara kicked another in the throat in a spin motion, taking him out.

One man attacked Sara with a knife but she grabbed his hand and spinning around, made him stab himself in the side as he fell down.

Another attacked but she grabbed his hand and twisted it, breaking his bone as he screamed while Sara dropped him.

She then kicked out 3 of them in quick succession before one grabbed her from behind but she grabbed his wrist and twisted it, making the man scream in pain as Sara freed herself and dropped him.

As another attacked, Sara spun him around and grabbed him in a chokehold before dropping him.

As another struck, Sara grabbed his foot and spun him around, making him fall down as Sara twisted his foot, breaking it.

One more attacked but Sara kicked him back. As he tried to attack again, Sara spun around and trapped his foot with her own, making him fall down as she knocked him out.

Darius charged with a punch but Sara avoided and kicked him with a flip, making him stagger slightly.

Sara tried to kick but Darius elbowed her hard and then head-butted her as Sara fell down.

She rolled away to avoid another strike and kicked him away. Sara rolled up, grunting in pain as she did so.

"Noxus will rise." Darius said darkly, wiping his mouth.

"No it won't!" Sara retorted confidently, leaping up and kicking him in the chest with both feet.

Sara elbowed Darius before he blocked her next attack and smashed her head into a wall, damaging part of it.

Leaning back, she head-butted Darius, making him stagger back before she kneed him in the gut.

Picking her up, Darius slammed her to the ground and punched her face several times.

Darius attacked again, punching Sara in the face and catching her off guard. Staggering slightly, she responded with an uppercut that whipped his head.

Darius punched her in the abdomen, making her gasp in pain. She threw a punch but Darius caught it and twisted it hard, making her grunt in pain. Grabbing her, he threw her across the ground where she landed hard.

Darius slammed Sara to the ground before punching her face several times.

As he punched a 4th time, Sara gripped his fist and kicked him off, slowly rolling to her feet.

As she tried to punch, Darius grabbed her arm and wrenched it upwards, making her grunt in pain. Sara tried to punch with the other arm, but it was grabbed too.

"I'm not from this world, motherfucker," Sara smirked. "I don't play fair."

She hawked up a thick glob of blood and spat it directly on Darius' face, blinding him temporarily.

"Ah, goddamn it!" he snarled.

Not letting go, Sara pulled him into a powerful head-butt, making him reel back slightly.

Darius snarled and kicked up his huge ax. He brought it down with a roar and Sara gripped the handle with both hands, using all of her might to hold it back.

Eventually, she moved away and kicked Darius.

"Come on!" Sara panted, exhausted, but unwilling to give up.

Darius was about to attack again, when a bright purple light flooded the area.

Both combatants turned to face the temple as someone walked out of it.

It was a man with white hair, pointed ears and pale, almost white skin. He was wearing purple pants and no shirt. A red scarf was wrapped around his neck.

His entire body was ripped, exposing his chiseled abs and pecks. His eyes were milky white, and he carried a huge purple and glowing bow in his left hand. His face was cold and hardened.

"Mortals. It has been millennia since I have seen the outside world, and now it is time to end your miserable existence." The being spoke in a cold tone.

"Who the fuck are you?" Sara asked.

The being straightened up and said. "I am Varus, the Arrow of Retribution."

"And what do you want, creature?" Darius demanded, tightening his grip on his ax.

Varus stepped forward slowly. "My fists have not tasted blood in over 2000 years. Today, I shall fulfil that desire."

Sara narrowed her eyes and then threw off her jacket, cracking her knuckles and stepped forward.

Darius cracked his neck and gave his ax a few twirls before stepping up alongside Sara. Sara nodded at the Hand of Noxus and then turned to face Varus.

"Take your best shot."

And this is done. I would have included the fight, but I wanted to save that for its own chapter.

So a new champion has been introduced and it's Varus aka The Arrow of Retribution. He is also the first Darkin to appear in this story.

His lore is actually pretty good, and I'd put it in the great category. His lore is very good and an interesting concept IMO. A shame Riot isn't doing much with him right now though. His story is very interesting.

But for God's sake, can they just update his voice lines already?! I still can't believe they updated Gwen's voice-lines, but not a champion that desperately needs it. His voice lines are still from the Old Lore.

Anyway, hope the fights were enjoyed in this, and now Sara and Darius are teaming up to fight Varus.

Also, if the timeline seems confusing at the moment, don't worry; it will make more sense in a few chapters.

Next chapter will cover the showdown with the Arrow of Retribution. It's Sara and Darius vs Varus. Only the strongest will survive.
