This chapter will cover the entire fight between Sara and Darius vs Varus, so hope everyone is excited.

Guest 2: Thanks for the review. The Scarlet King story-line will be continued in Phase 3, and I have a couple of stories planned where he will be the main villain. Oh yes, he will be one of the Big Bad's of this series, so lots of Earths will team up to fight him.

Chapter 17- Retribution
Runeterra, Ionia, Pallas
Varus smirked as he put his bow on the ground and walked to Sara and Darius. "Remember, mortals, I gave you both a chance."
Darius charged first, swinging his ax but Varus avoided at an astonishing speed and kicked him hard in the side.
He tumbled to the ground with a clang and rolled up, his armor not slowing him down in the slightest.
Darius threw a punch that Varus blocked and he back-handed him, making his face whip to the side.
Varus gave a front kick to his chest, sending him sprawling to the ground as he groaned in pain.
Varus then turned to Sara who smirked and walked to him.
Sara punched a few times but Varus avoided and pushed her back.
Sara then tried to spin kick and punch as Varus dodged both, then blocked two more punches and then punched Sara back.
Varus then blocked another punch while Sara backed to avoid one from him, then kicked Varus who blocked as well.
Varus then tried to hit in a spin motion as Sara ducked to avoid and Varus tried to kick as Sara blocked before ducking to avoid a spin kick, and tried to kick as Varus blocked.
"Not bad, mortal. You are not nearly as good as some of the mortal champions I have fought, but you are good." He commented.
"Well come on then." Sara sneered. Darius appeared and punched Varus hard, staggering him before he flipped the Hand of Noxus to the ground.
Darius rolled away and tried to punch but Varus deflected and back-handed him. Darius managed to land a kick to the Arrow of Retribution's chest, but he easily recovered.
Varus punched Darius, denting his armor before spin kicking him right in the face, making him stagger.
"I fight for Noxus!" Darius growled, punching Varus again but he blocked two more strikes and kicked his knee, staggering him.
As Darius threw a wild haymaker, Varus ducked to avoid and then leapt, kicking the top of his head.
Darius growled in pain and then punched Varus three times in the face and chest. As he threw another punch, Varus ducked to avoid and landed a punch to his jaw, making him fall to the ground in pain.
Varus smirked and turned as Sara kicked him in the face, making him stagger slightly before he quickly recovered.
The two deflected each other's punches once more. Sara was punched twice in the abdomen, and then she punched Varus in the abdomen too before punching his face.
Varus ducked to avoid another punch before backhanding Sara in the face and grabbing her head, kneed her in the abdomen before pushing her off and punching her face.
Sara spin kicked Varus right in the face before deflecting some of Varus' kicks, only for him to smack her face, staggering her back.
Sara kicked as Varus deflected and flipped Sara to the other side. She grunted in pain as hit the ground.
He tried to lift Sara up but she wrapped her legs around Varus' neck and flipped him away while Varus rolled away and got back up.
"Finally, a decent fight. But you'll still lose." He smirked.
Varus tried to punch Sara a few times who backed to avoid, and she lifted his foot to avoid a spin kick too, before leaning back to avoid another spin kick that would have otherwise hit her in the face.
"Goddamnit." She muttered, her body aching.
Darius charged and rammed into Varus, staggering him before Varus grabbed Darius and kneed him in the face before pushing him off and spin kicking him, making him stagger and fall to one knee.
Darius blocked another kick from Varus and punched him in the abdomen, but Varus kneed him again and grabbing him, threw him across the land where he rolled to the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea.
"Come on!" Sara roared at him and Varus glared at her.
Sara avoided another spin kick by Varus and flipped to the other side to avoid another kick.
Varus then charged with punches as Sara deflected them before trying to punch and Varus backed to avoid.
Sara then grabbed Varus' arm and kneed his chest twice before trying to flip him over but Varus punched the back of her head and, then punched her in the back three times and pushed her away into a stone pillar.
The pillar was damaged as Sara leapt away to avoid Varus' kick who then punched her, staggering her back.
Leaping onto the wall, Varus spun in the air and kicked Sara in the face, throwing her back again. Warm blood poured down the side of her face.
"Oh boy." Sara muttered, feeling the throbbing pain in the side of her head.
Varus was grabbed in a chokehold by Darius and the two grunted, trying to overpower the other.
Eventually, Varus won and he head-butted Darius hard, throwing him back before he kicked him in a spin motion, flipping Darius as he landed on the ground and groaned, blood pouring from his nose.
Varus then kicked Darius in the ribs, breaking some of them as he was sent flying through the air and crashing to the ground again.
Smirking, he then turned to face Sara again, who was wounded and exhausted.
Sara was still ready to fight as Varus walked to her and kicked but she used her knee to avoid.
She then blocked a swing from Varus before trying to punch which he avoided. Varus used his elbow to block another blow before Sara punched him in the abdomen and grabbing his head, tried to knee him twice but Varus deflected both times.
Varus then freed himself from Sara's grip and punched her really hard, turning her the other way as Sara spat out some blood, staggering forward.
"Okay, that's it. I've had it with this motherfucker." Sara muttered darkly.
Sara wiped the blood and growled in anger.
She then tried to spin kick a charging Varus who barely backed to avoid but Sara spin kicked his chest again hard, staggering him back.
Varus then deflected two blows from Sara before ducking to avoid her spin kick.
Sara leapt and tried to knee Varus but he blocked again. Varus blocked another punch but Sara gave him a hard left hook, sending him staggering away.
Sara then flipped in the air and spun, trying to kick him, but Varus grabbed her foot, and she fell down.
Sara grunted as Varus slammed her knee onto the top of his leg. Sara let out a scream of agony as her knee was completely shattered. Her mind began turning white from the searing hot pain.
Varus smirked and twisted her leg really hard. She screamed in pain as the leg was damaged further.
Gaining control of her emotions, Sara pushed her other foot back, kicking Varus in the face. He let go and rolled to his feet.
Seeing this, Darius delivered an uppercut that made Varus stagger back. Despite the burning pain in his ribs, the Hand of Noxus would not give up.
"Why don't you just give up?" Varus mocked him.
"I am a son of Noxus. And Noxians do not flee from a fight." Darius declared firmly.
Darius tried to punch but Varus blocked and then punched him away. As Darius tried to recover, Varus flip-kicked him in the face, blood spewing from his mouth.
Darius staggered forward as Varus punched him several more times.
Gripping him by the throat, Varus dragged Darius to the edge of the cliff. Darius tried to strike with his ax but Varus knocked it over the edge.
Head-butting Darius, he smashed his nose before Varus hurled him over the cliff, watching as the Hand of Noxus fell to the ocean and landed with a hard splash.
Smirking, Varus heard something and turned to see Sara slowly stagger up, putting all her weight on her left leg.
Her right leg was twisted violently, the bone poking out of the skin and pants she was wearing. Her face was contorted in agony.
"You are certainly persistent." He commented.
"Bring…it…on." Sara slurred.
Varus quickly dodged a blow before punching Sara in the face, then smacking it, then kicking her broken knee as he walked to Sara's other side and she staggered away.
Varus then kicked the back of Sara's knee twice, making her yelp in agony and sending her staggering away.
Sara straightened and tried to punch but Varus deflected and punched her in the face before kicking her broken knee again, and then her other knee.
Sara tried to punch but Varus grabbed her arm and then punched her in the face a few times.
Sara deflected one blow but Varus punched her a few more times and elbowed her in the face.
He spun and elbowed her face again, before Varus flipped and spun and kicked Sara hard in the face, making her spit out blood as she fell down.
"Well, this was easy." He commented.
He turned to see Sara slowly staggering back up and shook his head in amusement.
Sara tried to punch but Varus deflected, and then kicked Sara's side and chest, sending her back.
Sara tried to stagger towards him but Varus spin kicked her right in the throat, and she hit the ground hard.
He slowly walked away, feeling victorious.
"VARUS!"
He whipped around and growled in a mixture of annoyance and anger.
Blood was dripping out of Sara's mouth but she wasn't giving up. She staggered back up, only for Varus to kick her in the face, sending her back again.
Sara then tried to punch as Varus grabbed her arm, and then kicked her face and chest before Sara freed herself and ducked to avoid a spin kick.
Varus then flipped and kicked Sara in the back, making her fall down once more.
Sara staggered back up as Varus tried to punch but Sara deflected before being kneed in the abdomen and punched in the face.
Sara swung but Varus ducked to avoid, punched her face, and then kicked her chest again.
He followed with a punch to the face, then a left hook, and finally a spin kick that turned Sara around and made her fall down again.
Varus stomped on her ribs, breaking them and causing more blood to pour from Sara's mouth.
"Not so tough, are you now, woman?" he taunted, but Sara didn't answer.
Varus summoned his bow to his hand and then turned to walk away, to kill the Noxian forces and get off Ionia.
The last thing Sara saw was the bright sky, before she gurgled blood and it faded to black.
The end.
Hope the fights were enjoyed here. Obviously, neither Sara nor Darius lasted too long against Varus, because come on, he's a Darkin.
Darius lasted slightly longer than Sara due to being from Runeterra. But he still got clobbered. But I had the two still put up a really good fight against Varus, before being taken down.
Remember how in an earlier story, I mentioned that Sara limps on her left side slightly? Yeah, Varus is the reason why her leg is still badly damaged, and she limps. Though there is another reason she has a permanent limp.
Now I will be doing a time gap, and it won't be too long, but also gets the timeline on track, since some stuff happened slightly earlier than in canon.
I will also be shifting some more stuff up slightly to fit what I have planned.
Also, this won't be the last time we see Varus. He will have one more appearance in this entire story.
