I love seeing the cruel villain try to break the hero but feel a stir of emotion they've never felt before.

Unexpected x Developments HIATUS note 28/11/15: I'm looking at the story info that says I have written 205,088 words for this and I can't even believe it. That's like a novel, or several theses. Even if I say, let's remove 5000 from that number for my babbling Author's Notes, it's still a lot. From the word count and seeing that I have also written LOTS more that's contained in drafts for future chapters, you can tell I'm unnaturally dedicated to writing HisoGon and that I love HxH, Togashi-san's awesome work and UxD a lot.

Hunter x Hunter, and by extension, this story has changed me so much, helped me start that journey to finding myself and helped me to exercise my interest in writing. I love this pairing of Hisoka x Gon so darn much I don't even know any specific reason why. I guess it's just the dynamic of the bad guy protecting and reluctantly falling in love (unwilling to admit it, yet showing it in every action) with the stubborn hero that I can't get enough of. It's my desire to make that happen with Hisoka x Gon and to explore their past, the relationship that they have with their friends, the people around them, each other and ultimately how they live and grow as individuals that made me want to write UxD.

I am ridiculously committed to writing UxD to the point that it isn't healthy. I write whenever I can - on the bus, in taxis, on my notes apps, at work all day in-between handling a full time job or neglecting my work in favor of writing and then at home as soon as I am on my computer. In between chapters I probably take one or two days off then it's back to writing like I'm a sadist to myself and then when it's a few days to update time I usually don't sleep / don't sleep much, dropping off from social media completely to focus on writing more. These days I don't really do anything else other than work and write. UxD has taken over my life...

I don't know if that's called obsession or dedication.

So as of UxD's birthday 27/11/15, after doing a two chapter (in one week) submission special, I decided to go on a break before I break myself from all the work . I have several projects that need my attention:

story requests to fulfill - like a short story based on Hisoka and a stalker fic that I've decided to use Hisoka x Gon for. several books to read Editing projects two other fics I have to update that haven't been updated because I was so obsessed taken up with UxD.

Then there is the future of UxD to consider: I need to properly analyze the plot I have outlined, give it some structure, then take up the major task of compiling all the notes I have made. Pulling super long chapters out of my magic hat at an insane pace has been working for me so far, but not having structure has been stressing me out and with no time to work on a future plot because I'm constantly writing for the next chapter isn't healthy...or smart. So for the future of UxD I need to step back and do some analysis, take a look at the characters' style etc in canon and predict how they would react to different situations so that UxD can be a true dedication to Hunter x Hunter from a humble fangirl whose life the series has changed so much.

But knowing myself, I'll still be writing for UxD when I should be taking a break :/

ABOUT ME...

I love to write. It's my addiction and I honestly can't help it.

I work in Admin, I'm not particularly fond of my job because I dream of traveling the world and being outdoors instead of trapped behind a desk; but it is a job after all and it feeds me. I am an avid lover of writing, poetry, healthy eating, exercise, and artistic things. I am a nature lover, pescetarian, love to read and write (of course), love helping others, making people laugh and I'm known for being the 'girl who's always smiling'...Even when I'm all torn up inside (and this is hard to tell because I don't like to burden others with my problems).

Let's see, I'm also a great listener and am known as a problem solver - the one my friends come to when they have problems and I do whatever I can to help. I realize that I have a natural skill when it comes to solving things. Strangely, I'm also an introvert and prefer not to be in crowds or the center of attention but would rise to the occasion in a do or die situation.

I am a bit of a free spirit and sometimes I feel like I'm trapped in a glass box and it is my dream to one day break out of this prison become a polyglot, quit my job and travel the world, especially to visit the Bahamas, Curacao, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, France, Japan and to spend some time in Singapore. Japan is first on my list though! I just want to live a simple life and find myself dreaming of living near a beach or backpacking through Europe but people don't understand that part of me (and the part that likes Asian stuff) so I guess that encourages me to be more introverted haha.

ABOUT FANFICTION:

I've been on fanfiction.net for some years but I've mostly been a lurker and occasional reviewer with 99% of the stories I read being from Naruto. I've never really been interested in any other anime fan stories until late 2014 when I watched 148 episodes of Hunter x Hunter in two weeks at night (since I work during the day)! Although I was messed up from lack of sleep and then having to go to work the next day, I repeated my HxH episode binge watching routine every night. I was totally blown away by the animation, the storyline and just the way Togashi-san wrote his characters and plot that I hopelessly fell in love with the show (hence my addiction to finish it in 2 wks lol).

To ease my sadness at losing such a great anime I took to fanfiction.net to hunt for some great stories but found very few good ones on my OTP. And what I did find was on hiatus etc., or just one shots. Saddened by this, and the fact that there were most likely other fans like me who felt the same way, I've been brought out of my 8 year hiatus from writing anything not related to work / school and have decided to start working on my first story for any online site! I think the final push was when I saw a request for a Lemon for the HisoGon pairing based on the song I Get Off by Halestrom and I guess one chapter became this entire story with the plot flowing as I went along. It's kind of strange how I write, I give myself a challenge and fulfill that and it becomes a chapter: for example, I write a sentence like "What else happens in the pizzeria?" and then boom when I see that sentence again, ideas start flowing LOL.

Maybe this is all a good thing, because I'd forgotten how amazing it felt to just let my ideas take a life of their own and become a story and now others can read what I write and be happy, which makes me happy XD.

I had been so caught up in writing reports for work and research papers for Grad School that I had let my passion die now I'm motivated. Wow lets see how this goes!

FAVORITE ANIME / MANGA

The top spot for my Ultimate Favorite Anime / Manga is shared by Naruto and Hunter x Hunter. They both have their faults of course - Naruto and its fillers that are sometimes annoying and Hunter x Hunter and its current hiatus. Naruto is my favorite manga though, hands down. I was / am a total Narutard and still have my fangirl moments...I used to wait anxiously week by week for releases or hold back for weeks on end so that they'd pile up until the day I decide to slather myself in new Naruto manga content. Even now I am letting the anime build up so that I can slather myself in all the freaking epic fight scenes of the Ninja war. If Kishimoto were to go on hiatus like Togashi back then when I was in full Narutard mode I think I may have died lol... you know what I mean - I followed the series for almost half my life so it is practically a part of me!

Favorite Naruto Characters:

I love practically everyone (the characters are very well written), but my heart belongs to Deidara, Itachi, Madara, Hinata
