I Do not own Kim Possible. I often reference people, places, and things. I don't own them either. I only own my OC Jack Giri. I also don't own Initial D or any of its characters.
Author note: Gj agent, thank you for your reviews. Yes I suppose there is a bit of Florence Nightingale effect going on. But at the same time there is also the opposite effect, don't know what that would be called. Where Kim would have been drawn to Jack because she felt bad for him he would have been drawn to her because he knew he needed her. It would be the same with Jack and Shego/Brandi where he feels bad for her and she knows she needs him. There is also more going on there however. The way I justified it when writing is that people interact differently with different people. Someone can act a way around someone that they don't act around anyone else. Also Jack and Shego/Brandi are soul mates. And I don't mean in terms of how the Animalogy book describes it of a White lion and a Green rattlesnake or a Blue fox and a Yellow trout. I mean exact soul mates, two souls that are directly linked together. That's why they have the ability to sense each others presence and emotions. I was just hoping it didn't feel too unnatural.
Chapter thirteen: Race night. (Initial D crossover episode.)
By the time Jack and Brandi had arrived at the spot in the hills where everyone liked to race it was dark. The spot was mostly filled with kids in their Hondas and other want to be sports cars but there was also some people in trucks and old muscle cars as well. As Jack and Brandi rolled up to the scene all heads turned towards them as the teenagers oooed and ahhed and the muscle car guys looked unimpressed and the truck guys were somewhat mixed.
As Jack and Brandi parked and got out nearly every jaw dropped as they ogled Brandi. Whispers and murmurs could be heard as they talked about her. Brandi was able to make out a few things like; "Dude, look at that babe." "She's so hot!" "I just creamed my pants." And "Is that her boyfriend?" Hearing their comments Brandi Smirked deviously with overwhelming confidence as she walked over and stood suspiciously close to Jack. Weather they were an item or not Brandi wanted to let them know that they didn't have a chance with her.
Jack smirked. This is the exact reaction that he had been expecting. Jack also stayed suspiciously close to Brandi. He knew that she could handle herself but he wanted to make sure that she was protected. Just than Jack saw Kim's face in the crowd. "Kim!" Jack called out as he walked over to her with Brandi fallowing right beside. Kim looked a bit overwhelmed somehow. "Jack where have you been? You been gone for over a day." Kim said with worry evident in her wards and voice.
"Oh you know, you were working so I had to go stop Drakken and Shego on my own." Jack replied casually. "Are you ok? You didn't get hurt did you?" Kim asked as she looked him over. She noticed that he was still in his mission gear so he must have just got back. She then noticed that Brandi was wearing his hat and the same clothes from yesterday. (She had taken her coat off some time during the trip home.) "I'm fine Kim." Jack said. Kim than looked from Brandi back to Jack and then back to Brandi. "Did she go with you?" Kim asked with alarm as she looked into Jacks eyes. Little did she know the meaning of the two wards she had placed together in that sentence.
"Hey I can handle myself just fine princess." Brandi said as she glared at Kim, coming over and placed her hands on Jacks shoulder and leaning against him in a very possessive way. Brandi's eyes lit up with a dominant confident glow as her face twisted into a devious smirk. She was sending the message that Jack was hers. Seeing this Kim growled as she clenched her fists, bearing her teeth. This made Brandi's devious smirk grow into a full blown twisted smile. "Brandi." Jack said in a powerful warning tone that told her to back off.
Brandi wrapped her arms around Jack from behind ad she ran the tip of one of her fingernails along his chest and caressed his chin and jaw with herother hand. "Oh poo. I was Just having a little bit of fun Jack wacky." Brandi said in an alluring playful, yet sarcastic tone. Jack grabbed her hands and spun around to look at her how a father would look at their misbehaving toddler. "Would you give us a moment?" Jack asked Kim. Before he got an answer Jack took Brandi by the hand and pulled her back over to their cars out of ear shot.
"What do you think you're doing?" Jack demanded as he crossed his arms, clearly very displeased with her. "What? I'm just having a little fun." Brandi defended playfully. "You're acting like an ass." Jack warned. Brandi looked at him with a look mixed with anger and hurt. "Oh I'm an ass? Is that all you think I am? All those kind things you said about me, were they just lies?" Brandi asked getting progressively more and more mad. Jack and Brandi glared at each other before Jack broke and let out a heavy sigh. "No of course not. But I can't just let you act like that. I get you have terrible people skills. So what kind of friend would I be if I just let you go around acting a fool without trying to help you grow into a better person? And don't forget, that's my sister that your talking to like that. Said jack as she looked deeply into her eyes.
Part of Brandi still wanted to be mad but she couldn't stay mad at him. "I'm sorry Jack. I don't know what came over me." Brandi said softly as she looked down. Part of her felt stupid. She was a world wanted villainess and here she was letting herself being treated like a little kid just because Jack was the only person she had feelings for in an extremely long time. Jack paced a hand on her head in comfort. As she looked up he pulled her into a warm and loving embrace. Just like that Brandi no longer cared how stupid she felt. It was all worth it.
"Just please, try to be nice." Jack asked in a pleading tone. "Oh, alright." Brandi said pouting as she crossed her arms. Jack took her hand and they walked back to Kim. They noticed Josh was standing awkwardly next to Kim. It also didn't escape Kim that Jack and Brandi were holding hands. "Hey sorry about that. I'm Jack by the way." Jack said as he looked at Josh and put out his free hand. "Oh yea, Kim has told me about you." Josh said as casually as he could as he shook Jacks hand. Meanwhile Brandi was blushing as she looked at her hand holding Jack's. She felt like a little kid but she didn't care. She was too happy. Jack than noticed Josh seemed to be a bit afraid to look at Brandi. Jack figured that he had seen the interaction between her and Kim and was a bit intimidated by her.
"So I assume you're going to be busy with work for a while Kim?" Jack asked her. "Yea. You going to be ok doing missions on your own?" Kim asked Jack before shooting Brandi a Quick glare. She wasn't sure if he was going to take Brandi on missions with him or not but she wasn't going to acknowledge her if he did. "Yea, I'll be fine Kim." Jack said with reassuring smile. "Good. So you doing alright? I saw on the news that they captured Drakken but Shego got away again." Said Kim in concern. Brandi looked away snickering to herself. "Kimmy if you only knew I was standing right here." Brandi thought to herself as she tried not to smile. "Yea, I'm fine Kim." Jack said with a smirk. Kim smiled. "Good." Kim said. She noticed Brandi seemed to be smirking as she looked away. "So I guess you know about Shego?" Kim asked Brandi.
Brandi turned her attention back to Kim as her smirked widened. "Yea, she seemed like a pretty cool chick." Brandi said only somewhat sarcastically. Jack glanced at Brandi with a raised eyebrow. He squeezed her hand as a warning not to get too cocky. Kim might have been clueless but she wasn't an idiot and he was worried that Kim would find out that Brandi was Shego if she got too cocky. Brandi got the message and her smirk faded.
Kim looked at Brandi a bit shocked and confused before she turned to give Jack the same look. "Hey I told you they would be good friends." Jack joked. Jack than turned his attention to Josh. "Hey Josh. How about a little race?" Asked Jack with a sly grin. "Sure, I mean that's what were here for right?" Said Josh with only a hint of nervousness. Jack chuckled. "Good." He said. Jack and Brandi than got into Jack's Rx7 And Kim and Josh got into Josh's Miata and they lined up on the starting line as the crowd cheered.
Jack revved his engine a few times and the crowd cheered louder. "You're going down monkey boy." Jack taunted to which Kim gave him a glared but he ignored it. Brandi laughed, she thought it was funny. "Um, it's pronounced Manky." Said Josh. "That's what I said." Jack said playfully. A teen boy with curly brown hair in a fitted cap, baggy tank top, baggy cargo pants, and large black framed glasses came out and waved his hand, signaling the start of the race.
Both Mazdas took off with a tire spinning start as Jacks Rx7 easily beat Josh's Miata off the line but Jack fell back and let Josh take the lead. Brandi looked at him a bit confused. "What are you doing?" She asked with confusion. Jack turned to her with a smirk. "You don't want this race to be over right away do you?" Asked Jack. Brandi snickered. "Whose the cocky one now?" She asked.
Jack fallowed the little red Miata into the first turn on the downhill run, he kept his distance at about a cars length away, he didn't want Josh to panic and crash. Jack looked down at the speedometer looking rather bored, he felt like he was going rather slowly. Jack than looked and it appeared that Kim wasn't panicking or screaming like she did when he was driving so he figured that was a testament to that. Brandi looked and saw Jack looked like he was on a lazy Sunday drive as he rested his elbow on the door and his chin on his hand.
Kim held on to the door as they went into the first turn but strangely enough she found that she didn't feel scared for some reason. She than looked at Josh and saw that he looked rather serious, like he was wrestling with the wheel. Josh than went into the next turn, again Kim didn't feel scared but Josh looked like he was putting in a lot of effort to make the car go through the turn. "Huh? Why don't I feel scared?" Kim thought in wonderment.
"He keeps under steering. He's giving it too much throttle threw the corner." Jack said in observation as he fallowed Josh. "How can you tell?" Brandi asked in wonder. "Look at the way his car moves, it looks tensed, the movement doesn't flow right." Jack said nonchalantly. Brandi looked, watching as they went into the next corner. "You're right." Brandi said in amazement. She had to really look to tell but he seemed to be able to tell so easily.
"Well we got a bit more of this so we might as well make it fun." Said Jack. Going into the next turn Jack depressed the clutch and shifted into second as he flicked the wheel to the left and then to the right before letting out the clutch as he modulated the throttle, making the car drift through the corner. Brandi held on tightly as they drifted the corner and then the next with Jack bringing his front bumper within inches of Josh's rear bumper before falling back between corners. As the progressed down the mountain Jack's drifts had more and more angle to them.
Kim looked in the mirror in amazement. "What is that lunatic doing!?" Kim shouted. Josh looked back as they went into the next corner but he didn't see Jack and Brandi behind them. Josh and Kim than looked to the left and saw the front of Jacks Rx7 inches from Josh's door as he drifted the turn as he took the outside line. They looked on in fear and wonder as Jack just waved at them with a big goofy smile before giving them a thumbs up. Brandi was hanging on tightly but she didn't look scared, she looked like she was having fun. Josh hit the brakes out of fear and Jack's Mazda drifted around his than used the momentum to throw the car into the next corner as the black Mazda rebounded the other direction with its rear bumper coming within inches of Josh's front bumper. Jack pulled away as he drifted through the turn and left them in the dust on the upcoming straightway.
Back up at the top of the hill Jack and Brandi waited for Kim and Josh at the top of the hill as people gathered around them cheering. A little while later Josh's red Miata pulled up with a rather angry looking Kim getting out and running over to Jack. She hit him on the arm. "What were you thinking you fucking lunatic!? You could have gotten us all killed!" Shouted Kim as she waved a threatening finger in his face. Brandi growled as she was about to snatch Kim up by her shirt but Jack put his hand out, blocking her path as Jack and Kim looked at each other. Kim with a furious glare and Jack with an unmoved dead look in his eyes. Josh than came over. "Hey Kim it's cool." Josh said casually. "I actually had fun." He continued as him and Jack smiled at each other. Kim let out a long sigh as she relaxed, and all was well.
Everyone than turned their attention to two girls as they walked through the crowd as they came to stand side by side in front of Jack, Kim, Josh, and Brandi. The first thing that was noticed about the girls was the energy they gave off. They had an energy similar to that of Brandi's. A strong bad bitch energy with that of one being of pure confidence and the other one that of a much more defiant nature. Both girls appeared to be Japanese with the confident girl having lush straight long rich dark brown hair and the defiant one having slightly wavier dirty blonde hair. The defiant one wore bright red lipstick with a little light makeup while the confident one wore no makeup at all. The confident one was also slightly more conservatively dressed, wearing a sleeveless yellow turtleneck with a short jean skirt and sneakers. The defiant one had slightly bigger breasts and wore a white tank top with a dark red short skirt and high heels.
"So you Americans think your pretty good drivers." Said the confident one. Jack just looked at her blankly as he blinked a few times. "Are you kidding me? American's can't drive." Jack joked but he said it in such a tone that she couldn't tell if he was joking or not. "Huh?" The defiant one said dumbfoundedly as she hunched over in a look of bewilderment. The confident one glanced at her friend and took a step forward. "My name Mako. And this is my partner Sayuki. We…" She began to say before Jack cut her off. "Partner? Well if that's how you two roll I won't judge." Jack said casually making the crowd snicker and murmur.
Mako Growled lightly with a scow of intense irritation. "Enough nonsense! As I was saying, we are from Japan and we have come to race here in America." She announced boldly. "Now we hear your performance down the mountain was pretty amazing. So I guess that makes you the best one here." Mako said with a challenging smirk as she stared Jack down. Kim and Josh didn't know what to make of this situation while Brandi smirked with excitement. She actually sort of liked these girls. Tho she probably wasn't feeling territorial only because these girls and Jack were clearly at odds with each other.
"Of course I'm the best here. But that really wasn't my best work." Jack said casually as he rolled his shoulders with crossed arms. "Good. That you surly shouldn't have trouble satisfying the two of us." Mako said with a smirk and challenging glare as she finished the innuendo. Brandi did feel her anger flare up at that one but she managed to keep it under control, only shooting Mako a viscous glare which she ignored.
"As if. Were probably going to be bored as usual." Said Sayuki in a cocky defiant tone. As she stood with her hands on her hips. "Have you finally rebooted?" Jack asked in a dismissive tone causing amused chukles from everyone. Mako looked sat Sayuki with an amused smirk. Even she thought it was funny. "Oh whatever! You won't be laughing when we wipe the floor with you." Sayuki said defiantly. "Road. We are driving on a road." Jack said in a correcting tone making everyone laugh. Mako covered her moth as she tried to hide her laughter from Sayuki but it didn't work. Sayuki glared at her.
"So you and your co driver against me and mine." Mako challenged once she had composed herself. Jack and Brandi just looked at her confused before looking at each other than back at her. "Co driver? My fat ass is more like ballast." Brandi joked with wild laughter. Mako and Sayuki just hunched over as they looked at her with dumbfounded looks. "Oh great, I think you broke both of them." Jack said nonchalantly as he got into the driver's seat of his black Rx7 and Brandi smirked deviously at the two girls before getting in the passenger seat.
Sayuki growled with clenched fists as she was about to go after them but Mako stopped her by placing a hand on her shoulder and pulling her back to their car. "If they drive as good as they talk than we don't stand a chance." Sayuki said with frustration as she buckled her seat belt. "Relax Sayuki. We might not know the track but this race will still be over within the first two corners." Mako said confidently as she buckled her seatbelt and pulled up to the start line where Jack and Brandi were already waiting.
"What the heck kind of car is that?" Brandi asked in confusion as she watched the strange dark blue car pull up beside them. Both girls looked over at them. Mako with a challenging smirk and Sayuki as she waved and stuck her tongue out at them. "I believe it's called a Sileighty." Said Jack casually. "A what?" Brandi asked in surprised. "It's a Nissan 180sx with a s13 Silvia front end." Replied Jack. "So it's just a 180sx in drag?" Asked Brandi, sounding rather unimpressed. "Yup" Jack said nonchalantly. "You got this in the bag!" Said Brandi. Jack glanced at her. "I wouldn't be so sure of that. That girl's got some mad skills." Said Jack. "How can you tell?" Brandi asked with surprised." There is a difference between cockiness and pure confidence. And when you get as good at reading people as I have you can tell the difference." Said Jack. Brandi just looked at him with wonder.
The crowed screamed and cheered for Kim to start the race. She looked a little reluctant at first till she looked at Josh. He just smiled and motioned for her to go out there. Kim was than filled with confidence as she stood in the middle of the street, in front of the two cars as everyone cheered. Both cars revved their engines. Kim raised her right hand as she looked at the dark blue Sileightly, Mako revved her engine. Kim than raised her left hand as she looked at the black Rx7, Jack revved his engine a bit higher and a lot louder, making the crowd cheer more. Kim than dropped her hands and both cars took off with a tire smoking start. Out the gate the black Rx7 was faster, pulling away till the first corner where Jack braked harder, allowing the Sileighty to take the lead.
"What are you doing!?" Asked Brandi. She knew he had done that on purpose. "Just playing the cat and mouse game." Said Jack in a predatory tone as he smirked deviously, a hungry look in his eye. Part of that look frightened Brandi, but a part of her was also very excited and turned on by it. She had never seen such a look on him before.
Jack watched as the Sileighty drift through the turn, much faster than he could have. "This girl is good!" Thought Jack with a predatory hunger. Brandi heard a low, hungry snarl come from Jack as his face became like that of a lion hiding in the grass as it waited for the kill. Brandi had to admit this ignited a slightly lustful urge deep within her as she chuckled, mirroring his grin.
The Sileighty drifted through the next corner as it pulled ahead for just a moment but Jack relied on delicate and precise throttle and steering input to keep the Rx7 glued to the ground, by the end of the corner the Rx7's bumper was less than an inch away from the Sileighty. Jack dropped back a few feet than watched as Mako drifted the next corner but again by the end of the corner Jack was glued to her bumper. Sayuki looked in the mirror and began to sweat but she decided it best not to say anything to Mako. She was too focused and Sayuki didn't want to distract her.
Mako drifted the next corner with Jack diving into the corner, taking the space between the Sileighty's door and the guard rail. There was no way Mako couldn't not notice this as the shock caused her to flinch, jerking the wheel to the right and causing the car to skid further to the outside line but she was able to hold it as they went into a straightway. Jack started to pull ahead and as they went into the next corner Mako had the inside line but Jack's Rr7 was knocking at her door and she didn't have enough room to drift as he began to overtake her on the outside. In the next straightway Jack pulled ahead and took the inside as Mako drifted the outside with the front end of her Sileighty just inches from Brandi's door. Mid corner Jack slowed down and let Mako take the lead as they headed into the next straightway.
"Damn it! He's just playing with us." Mako said threw gritted teeth. "I think maybe we may have made a mistake here." Sayuki said with a hint of fear as they went into the next corner with the Sileighty taking the inside but again the Rx7 didn't give Mako any room to drift as Jack came nose to nose with her. Mako sighed. "Well it wouldn't be the first time we lost to a superior driver." Mako said in cheerful acceptance. "Yea but I think this guy might be even better than Takumi." Said Sayuki with a bit of shock. "I think your right. We have come a long way since then." Said Mako as they headed into the straight, watching the black Rx7 pull ahead of her. "I mean just look how his car dances so effortlessly around the corners." Mako said with starry eyed wonderment as she watched the small black car corner like it was on rails as he fallowed after it. "Were not, giving up are we?" Sayuki asked with shocked concern. "Hell no." Mako said in a predatory voice as she chased after Jack.
Brandi smirked from the passenger seat as she looked at Jack. "So you're giving them something to chase just to see how good they are I take it." Brandi said with a predatory thrill. "That's right." Jack said in a predatory tone as he quickened his pace. Jack watched with satisfied reverence as Mako and Sayuki fallowed him into the next turn and were soon glued to the rear bumper. The pace of the two cars steadily increased till they were both moving at a god like speed that neither of them had ran before.
"Wow this is amazing!" Said Mako with blissful thrill. "Be careful Mako there is no margin for error. We're running a whole lot faster than we were when we lost to Takumi." Sayuki warned. "Yea but we were leading then so the pressure was on us. We're at the advantage this time." Mako said with a predatory smirk.
Jack was amazed at how Mako was able to keep up while drifting. It was amazing and he surly respected her. He might even ask her for her number if he didn't think Brandi would rip his face off. Brandi sensed what Jack was thinking about those girls and she didn't like it as she glared daggers at him. Jack tried to ignore her but she broke his concentration and he messed up the turn just enough that Mako and Sayuki began to pass on the outside with their headlights shining through the window as they drifted through the turn.
It was neck and neck down the long straightway but the few extra horse power and lighter weight of the Rx7 gave it just enough of an advantage to pull ahead. The next turn was the last turn before the start/stop line at the top of the hill and the Sileighty had the inside line but Jack was too close to let Mako drift and he edge ahead. Both cars got slight air when the crested the hill. The black Rx7 was about a half a car length ahead of the blue Sileighty when they crossed the line.
Crossing the line both cars were going too fast to slow down in time for the turn around to meet up back at the finish line so they went to the nearest overlook pull off so they could talk about the race. Both Jack and Mako seemed to get out of the car faster than Brandi and Sayuki. As they went to meet each other.
"Wow that was amazing!" Mako said with pure joy. "I know you were incredible!" Jack said as he looked at Mako with wonder. Looking on it appeared as tho they were about to run into each others arms and start making out but before anyone could find out they were distracted by Brandi and Sayuki staring at them. Sayuki was leaning against the Sileighty as she looked on like she was watching a crappy romantic soap opera while Brandi was glaring daggers at them with a bit of a snarl. She was having trouble keeping her hands from flaring up but somehow she just managed.
Glancing over at Brandi Sayuki decided to clear the air before something bad happened. "So what do you have under that hood? Doesn't sound like any rotary I've ever heard." She said calmly as she succeed in changing the subject. "Oh." Jack said casually as he walked over and popped the hood on his Rx7. Brandi sighed and relaxed. She knew she shouldn't get so mad. In truth she wondered why she did, they weren't technically an item.
Jack lifted the hood and propped it open as all the girls came over to take a look. "I never seen an engine like that before." Mako said. "What is it?" Asked Sayuki. Brandi looked at the engine. She knew what it was but she had never actually seen it. "It's a 4.0 AMC straight six out of a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee." Jack said. "That's an off rad suv isn't it?" Asked Sayuki. "Yea." Said Jack. "I never seen anything like it. The intake and the exhaust are on the same side." Mako said in amazement. "That's, an American thing." Said Jack. "Wow that's really strange, but also really cool." Sayuki said with a smile.
Brandi cleared her throat to get every ones attention. She was starting to feel left out. "Maybe we should all get a room together." Brandi suggested sarcastically as she faked a lustful smirk. Mako and Sayuki cringed. "No that's ok." Said Mako. "We really must get going." Said sayuki as they both waved their hands and turned to leave. Brandi Smirked with a chuckle as she covered her mouth. "She's joking." Said jack sounding rather unamused. "Why did you have to tell them that? Their reactions were priceless." Said Brandi.
Jack crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow as he looked at her. "Ok. I don't actually into that sort of thing." Said Brandi as she looked at Mako and Sayuki. The girls turned to look at Brandi with confusion. "I don't know. There seems like there is an awful lot of sexual tension between you and Kim." Jack teased. "Oh my gosh, you're going to make me throw up." Brandi deadpanned. Brandi than turned her attention back to the girls. "So yea. We should hang out some time." Brandi Said nonchalantly.
"Well we would love to." Said Mako. "But we sort of agreed that we would go home after we lost." Said Sayuki. Jack shut the hood and sat on it as he crossed his arms. "I understand. If were ever in Japan we will make sure to come find you. Just when you go home don't forget to tell everyone about the American who dominated you." Jack said with a devious smirk making the two girls turn red at the innuendo. Brandi growled lightly. "W-we will." Said Mako.
They all said their goodbyes than Jack and Brandi headed back up the mountain. Back at the top they found that Kim and Josh were gone. It was getting late so Josh must have had to take Kim home and most of the other racers had cleared out as well. Jack walked Brandi to her car and opened the door for her. Brandi turned to look at Jack before getting in. "Seems you really liked that Mako girl." Brandi said slyly with a dangerous under tone. Jack just blinked a few times. It was no mystery that she was jealous. "Actually I think that Sayuki girl was a lot more attractive." Jack joked slyly. "Oh is that so?" Brandi asked dangerously as her hand began to glow faintly.
Jack just frowned at her. "You know, I don't know why you get so jealous. I told you, no one will ever take your pace." Jack said reassuringly. "I have issues alright!" Brandi growled. Jack just hugged her. "I know you do. And I love you and your flaws." Jack said softly. Brandi melted into his embrace as she hugged him back. Even tho she was sure he didn't mean that he was in love with her it still made her heart flutter to hear him say those wards as she tried not to cry, but a few tears slipped out. "I… I love you too…" She said softly as she rested her head against his shoulder.
After a few moments of loving embrace Brandi got into her car and Jack closed the door for her as she started the engine. "I'll see you at home." Brandi said warmly with a soft smile. "See you at home." Jack said with a smile before going to his car and they both drove off.
