Satsu's Cousin
Disclaimer: I've been watching the film series 'High & Low' lately on Netflix and I had this come to mind after seeing Kana Oya's Sarah on there. Is part of my 'Ten Years' idea.
Summary: Satsu wasn't the only black sheep in the family.
"Not only do you follow in my foot steps, you pole vault over them." Came an accented female voice that made Satsu's eyes light up as she turned around in excitement.
"Sarah!" Yelled the Japanese Slayer excitedly and quickly rushed to her somewhat thin Cousin.
Whom after being kidnapped a few years ago by a gang called 'Doubt' and then being rescued by another called the 'Mighty Warriors', had taken to a life that the family highly disapproved of. Namely, fighting and drinking and hanging about with the Mighty Warriors as one of its members. A group a number of people saw as troublesome punks despite the success they have where their club 'Funk Jungle' is concerned. Many watched as the two women hugged and wondered if the girl was an old friend of Satsu's. The fact part of her clothing included a white and black fur coat seemed a little out of place but given Lorne's fashion sense, it wasn't too out of place in the long run. "So you're here for the wedding?"
"Of course, Satsu. There was no way I could miss out on this. I even brought the boys."
Granted, Ice and the others weren't about to let her go all the way to another Country on her own and even saw the wedding as an opportunity to potentially expand their brand. Satsu was now practically glowing with happiness with the news she'd just been given, though part of her wondered how the others were going to handle the fact that the rest of her Cousin's group is there too. Sensei Giles no doubt would be horrified by the whole thing given certain tastes of his and that would likely amuse the Hell out of Buffy and the rest of the original Scooby gang. "Come on, I want to introduce you to Buffy!"
"Lead the way!"
"Man… I really gotta learn Japanese." Muttered one girl to herself and gaining some agreements in the process thanks to the fact the entire exchange had been done in Satsu's native language!
Author's Notes: So even though Sarah didn't necessarily have a lot to do in the films, the little she did was enough to leave one Hell of an impression on me.
