Ophelia's POV
It had taken us a day and a half to make it to Mount Moon. Pikachu was resting on Ash's backpack, looking adorable as he slept, as all of us smiled. Well, almost. Callista was panting as she tried to keep up. I had told her the suitcase was a bad idea. That's what she gets for ignoring me and dad. Oh well, she can suffer a bit.
"Mount moon, ah, doesn't that sound Romantic?" Misty asked as she looked more so at Ash. I smirked, figuring out she liked him, while Ash gave her a smile while being completely clueless about her feelings. Brock was looking at the mountain, coated with trees, while smiling.
"They say a meteor crashed in the mountain during prehistoric times." Brock says with a smile.
"A meteor?" Ash questioned.
"Is it true?" Misty asked.
"According to the books, yes it is. It's called a Moon Stone, said to help certain Pokemon, normal type mostly, to evolve." I explained as I easily kept up. No sweat, no heavy breathing, none of that.
"Ah. Now that's romantic!" Misty claimed.
"For once, I say forget the romance! There are Clefairy up there and I'm determined to get one!" Callista said as she, somehow, found more strength to catch up. I rolled my eyes as she still wore her heels.
"You'll twist an ankle in those." I muttered out.
"No I won't!" Callista scolded me.
"Well, I'm more interested in the stone. I've wondered about it for a long time, so I want to find one to keep, maybe make into a ring or something." I say honestly.
"Like a wedding ring?" Brock asked with a blush as he got hearts around him.
"N-no, just a nice ring or a pendant." I say as I lightly blushed. We then heard a scream and rushed to see a professor being attacked by Zubat.
"Eek! Gross!" Callista shrieked out. I took out my Pokedex, Dexter I believe, to get analysis before I grabbed my pokeball. Before I could react, Ash sent Pikachu out to use Thundershock on them. After that, they flew back into the cave.
"Ash! Pikachu could've shocked the guy!" I scolded before rushing over.
"You ok?" I asked the guy. He then bolted up and hugged Ash while crying.
"Wow! You guys are the greatest!" He said as he smothered Ash.
"Really, it was nothing." Ash muffled out. I gave him a weird look while resting my hand on my hip.
"I'm talking superfantabulistic! I mean, two thumbs up! Way up! The best rescue I've ever had!" He continued. I then realized Pikachu was no where to be seen.
"Where's Pikachu?" I asked suddenly. Then both of then screamed as I saw Pikachu, previously squished between them, shocking them.
"Oh..." I said as they both fell over. After a few seconds, both guys recovered as I looked at the guy better. Definitely a professor or scientist, brown hair, gray eyes, glasses, messy looking and stubbles on his chin. Kinda cute in a nerdy way.
"They say man's best friend is a Pokemon and with you two, I believe it!" He says as he referred to Ash and his Pikachu.
"Oh, that's nice." Ash said in a monotone voice. At this point, I tuned him out. I looked around before hearing him shout some stuff.
"Hey, will you stop shouting! The Zubat will return if you keep it up!" I yelled suddenly. I hated how loud he was being.
"Sorry." The guy said.
"Why were the Zubats attacking you, sir?" Ash asked him. Thats when he got offended.
"Never call me sir! I'm Seymour! Seymour the Scientist!" He yelled at him. I lost my cool and hit him in the head.
"And I said be quiet or they'll return!" I scolded him.
"Why did you hit me?!~" Seymour whined loudly. I then held my head.
"Uhg, I'm going over there to sit. My head hurts now." I say before going to a rock closest to the cave entrance to sit. I pulled out my water and found some asprin before taking a couple.
Callista's POV
"What's her problem?" Misty asked suddenly.
"She hates whiners and probably has a headache from the yelling." I explained.
"Funny, seeing as how you're louder when you shriek, Cal." Ash tells me.
"I told you not to call me that!" I shriek at him. Cal was a boy name, not a girl name. I had shrieked that in Ash's ear, so he was now rubbing the inside with his pinky.
"Yes, how dare you call a princess by a boy name." Seymour suddenly said before he took my hand.
"My dear, the reason the Zubat attacked was because of the lights." He asked me with a goofy smile. He definitely wasn't my type. But, if he was studying in here, then he might know where Clefairy are.
"Who would do that?" Misty asked. Seymour then guided us, including Ophelia, into the cave. I didn't care about the lights. Personally, it was better than the dark. All I wanted was one Clefairy.
Ophelia's POV
"This is awful! These pokemon specifically need the dark These lights are what upset the Zubat, probably other Pokemon too. Do you know who did this?" I asked, voicing my full concern. Seymour looked back at me at this point. I wasn't sure what was going through his head.
"If I knew, I'd try to stop them." He tells me with a sad look. He pointed out the paras' planting mushrooms and I saw a Sandshrew in a heatstroke of sorts. I went over to it and stroked it.
"It's ok." I say softly. I knew water would weaken it, but I damped a cloth and did my best to cool it down.
"Shrew?" I heard it weakly.
"It's ok. I'll try to help." I say softly before picking it up. I followed quietly as I kept trying to help it. I had to be careful with water against Sandshrew, but I knew the cleaning process thanks to books I read. Seymour was ranting about the moon stone as I continuing my care to the sick Pokemon. This Sandshrew was small, either a baby or a dwarf, so he was light and half the size of a normal Sandshrew. Seymour talked about how pokemon came from space and I rolled my eyes. Then we all heard it.
"Clefairy. Clefairy." The chants of the Clefairy.
"Ah! I hear the sweet Clefairy!" Callista said happily as her eyes, and the background behind her, sparkled.
I wonder how she makes those sparkles appear. I thought to myself. Brock immediately went over to Callista, hearts around him, while having a goofy smile.
"Then I shall help you find one." He fawned over her. Yes, sometimes Brock was annoyed with her, but he still flirted with her a lot. He did flirt with me, but his flirting was less straight forward and more genuine like. I wasn't sure why, though. Still, seeing the scene before me made me roll my eyes before Misty grabbed his ear and dragged him back.
"Shrew." I heard the Sandshrew quietly say. I looked down and smiled sweetly to him.
"It's ok." I say softly as I got the cloth damp again to continue cooling the small pokemon. It didn't take long before a Clefairy skipped past us while holding a Moon Stone. Everyone was in awe as I pulled out Dexter.
"Clefairy. This impish Pokemon is friendly and peaceful. It is believed to live inside Mt. Moon, although very few have ever been seen by humans." Dexter said as Clefairy kept chanting it's name while skipping. It was a little bit too girly for me, but definitely adorable.
"Oh my gosh! I gotta get her!" Callista yelled excitedly before she began to chase it. Suddenly, Seymour stopped her and told her to let it live in the mountain.
"But I want~ it!~" She whined out annoyingly.
"Seymour, if one agrees to go with her, would that be ok?" I asked him. He looked back at me.
"Well, I suppose so-Hey, wait a minute! What are you doing?!" Seymour freaked on me last second. Everyone then noticed the Sandshrew I was holding.
"It was too sick to leave alone, as well as being too little. I'm trying to keep it cool." I say as I continued to rub the damp cloth on it.
"But it's-" He started but I cut him off.
"I know it's a ground type. I've done research on all Pokemon in this region as well as two others, so I am smart in that area. Therefore, with all the research I've done as well as raised on a ranch, I know how to clean rock/ground pokemon without water hurting them." I inform him, not even looking at him, as my eyes and concentration were kept on the little one, trying my best to cool him down.
"Oh… I didn't know..." Seymour told me.
"Clearly not. I know what you think of me but I care about Pokemon." I tell him as I finally glared at him. We then heard the Clefairy give out a cry of fear. We looked up, worried, before rushing to see a Meowth had cornered her. Not just any Meowth. This one stood on twos which meant it was Team Rocket's Meowth.
"It's Team Rocket's Meowth!" I exclaimed. Meowth looked at us before his fur, for a slight moment, sprung up.
"Meowth, what are you doing here?" Meowth asked suddenly.
"Looking for troublemakers like you!" Ash taunted back.
"You're here to dig up the Moon Stone, aren't you!" I yelled.
"You don't know that!" Meowth retorted.
"Puh-lease! You three are nothing but annoying troublemakers." Callista said with attitude.
"We've gotta stop them before they cause more trouble." Brock says to us quietly. Well, not quietly enough.
"Trouble?" I heard Jesse's Voice.
"Make that double." I then heard James say. My cheeks went soft pink from hearing James. I wasn't sure why, though. We looked up and they started their thing again as they showed up behind Meowth.
"To protect the world from devastation." Jessie said to us.
"To unite all peoples within our nation." James added as I tried not to roll my eyes while Callista did so hard that I thought they would pop out of her skull.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love." Jessie continued.
"To extend our reach to the stars above." James added after her.
"Jessie!" She introduced herself.
"James!" He did as well.
"Team Rocket! Blast off at the speed of light!" She said loud and proud as she held up her shovel, James his pickax, so the two could form an X.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" James added after with as much pride.
"Meowth, that's right!" Meowth chimed in after.
"They sure are show-offs!" Seymour exclaimed as he seemed both upset and annoyed.
"Don't you guys ever get tired of saying the same old thing over and over?" Ash genuinely asked as he had his eyebrow raised up.
"For these clowns, why deny a show?" Callista said as she tried not to laugh at her own joke.
"You're just jealous, kids." Jessie tells them.
"Because we won't let you join us." James added.
"Oh no. Whatever shall we do? How can we cope with being rejected?" I asked in a sarcastically dull tone as my twin suppressed her giggles the best she could.
"Are you mocking us?" Jessie asked as she got upset.
"Well, I'm going to tell you what you told us. Surrender now, or prepare to fight." I tell her as I pulled out my Pokeball.
"Uh, you don't wanna hear our brilliant plan?" James asked questioningly. I sighed.
"You set up lights in the cave so you could dig for the Moon Stone, keep it for yourselves and power up your pokemon with it to become unstoppable. I'm not stupid, so are we fighting or can you just give up and run off to save me trouble?" I question after my explanation. The three blinked in astonishment.
"Yeah, she's not an idiot. She has a very high IQ from reading and studying, as well as from mystery novels, so she can figure out things like this most of the time." Sis explained.
"How rude!" Jessie yelled.
"Let's teach her a lesson!" James yelled out as the two jumped down.
"I can handle them, get Clefairy and Sandshrew and go." I say as I gave Callista the sick Sandshrew.
"We're helping." Brock said as he and Ash each had a pokeball.
"Ready or not! Ekans/Koffing!" The duo yelled out. Ash turned his hat in reverse for this.
"Buterfree! I choose you!" Ash yelled out.
"Bastet! Go!" I yelled out.
"Here we go! Unh!" Brock yelled. We all threw our pokeballs. Bastet popped out, fur arose and hissing when she saw Team Rocket, Butterfree came out with a screech and the last to come out was…
"A Zubat!/?" Ash exclaimed while I questioned it.
"I captured it just before we entered the cave." Brock exclaimed with a smile. Ash and I then dropped our heads.
"Aw, I should've caught one." Ash pouted.
"Same here." I say in the same tone.
"Koffing, Smog Attack!" James yelled out. Soon, Koffing was filling up this whole area with smog.
"Butterfree, Whirlwind now!" Ash yelled out.
"Zubat! Double Team!" Brock yelled after. I took a quick glance and saw Meowth trying to get Clefairy.
"Bastet! Go after Meowth and protect Clefairy!" I ordered.
"Meow!" (Right!) She meowed out before rushing to Meowth. She then scratched him and caused him to cry out. That's my girl. Then Koffing tackled Zubat at the same time Ekans bit Butterfree. Zubat used supersonic and made the two confused. I noticed Meowth was gone and so was Bastet. She had followed him but I wasn't sure where to. I saw the two and quickly hurried, missing the end of the fight, as Bastet was trying to stop Meowth. Meowth used scratch on her before throwing dirt in her eyes. Once that was done, he ran off.
"Bastet!" I cried out. She was trying to clean her eyes. I picked her up and helped her before chasing where I had hoped Meowth went.
Callista's POV
As soon as Team Rocket got distracted, Seymour, Misty and I got Clefairy out of their. Now we were trying to chase her down.
"Clefairy! Wait! I want you to be a part of my team!~" I whined out as I hurried after her. I was regretting my heels and miniskirt I chose to wear today. I got tired of hauling my suitcase and summoned Day Breaker.
"Follow Clefairy!" I ordered after I got on her with my suitcase. She neighed and we hurried off.
"Wait!~" I heard Misty, but I ignored them. I wanted a Clefairy and nothing was going to stop me. The entrance she escaped from was too narrow, so I had to put her away. I, barely, shoved my bag through before climbing out.
"Callista! Wait!" I heard Misty yell.
"No! Clefairy went this way! I want her!" I say before making it out. I ran off, leaving my suitcase behind to get later, before seeing the edge of the cliff to climb up.
"Aw~ no!~" I whined out. I hated rock climbing. I heard Clefairy and grunted before I began climbing up. Misty and Seymour were following me.
"Must! Get! Clefairy!" I grunted as I climbed. We then heard Clefairy and looked to see she had jumped. I freaked and, instinctively, reached out and caught her.
"Callista! No!" Misty yelled out too late. I realized what I did and fell on them all the way down to the bottom and into the water. It wasn't deep, about knee deep at most, with Clefairy in my arms as I whined. My hair was now ruined, my make up was probably running, I broke a couple nails trying to climb, I was dirty and wet, I was tired and I was pissed. I then saw Meowth jump down and demand the Moon Stone. I held Clefairy close to protect her ant the Moon Stone before I saw red.
"You made Clefairy ruin my hair, make up and more as well as get wet! Now, I'm mad!" I screamed out as I took out my pokeball. I didn't like fighting, but now was the time.
"Ariel! Come out and use Water Gun!" I Shrieked as I summed Ariel, my Dewgong and a gift from my mother, out into the water. She heard my command and, quite easily, before using Water Gun. Meowth yelled out before getting a mouth, and belly, full of water. Once full, Dewgong stopped and let the water pressure blast him away. I panted as I felt the rage go away.
"There!" I said before stomping my foot. I then looked down at Clefairy.
"You alright?" I asked her.
"Fairy!" She said happily, smile to match, with a nod.
"You finally battled! And all it took was wet hair and broken nails." I suddenly heard. I looked behind me to see my twin there, holding Bastet, as both gave me a smug smirk.
"Shut up!" I scolded.
"Huh? Where's the Sandshrew?" She asked me. I then paled. I had forgotten about him.
"I gave him to Misty." I say quietly, knowing I messed up. Ophelia looked panicked since we were in water.
"Sandshrew was in my bag!" Misty cried out. Ophelia glanced around before seeing Misty's bag, thankfully not in the water, before rushing to check on Sandshrew. I returned Ariel before getting out with Clefairy.
"Is it ok? I'm sorry. I just wanted Clefairy so~ badly!" I exclaimed as I felt guilty.
"Shrew." We heard as Ophelia checked him.
"Yeah." She said as she was now holding it while Bastet was next to her feet.
"I can't believe how careless you are! You always do this! I'm the one taking care of the pokemon you neglect! This one could've been badly hurt thanks to you! You're so irresponsible! How can you call yourself a trainer?!" She yelled at me. I normally fought back with her, but seeing poor Sandshrew's cute little face look at me with watery black eyes, I looked down in shame.
"I'm very sorry Sandshrew. I was selfish." I say before setting Clefairy down.
"You're free. I shouldn't try to force you on my team. I'm very sorry." I added to Clefairy.
I felt horrible. To make it worse, Ash and Brock came up to see if everyone was alright. I just said I was, even though it was a lie, just so they wouldn't worry. I even showed a fake smile to them. I decided to walk back and grab my suitcase, just to be alone to think and grab a towel as well. I was half way there when I heard something next to me.
"Clefairy?" I heard. I looked down and saw Clefairy.
"Why are you following me?" I asked her.
"Fairy! Clefairy!" She chanted with a smile before hugging my leg. Was she thanking me?
"Well, you're welcome. I couldn't let you fall and get hurt." I tell her as I smiled.
"Fairy Fairy, Clefairy!" She chanted.
"Ok, you can follow me." I say with a growing smile. I felt better now. We got my stuff and happily walked back together just as it was getting to be evening. We all sat together as Brock mentioned his home made poke food. I tuned him out as I looked and saw Clefairy and Pikachu talking.
I wish I knew what they were saying. I thought before looking at my twin talking with Bastet.
I swear she understands her, but how? I wish I knew if she could and how she could. I thought as I felt a bit jealous.
Especially since I wanted her. Why? Two reasons. 1. She's adorable and I like beautiful, cute and adorable pokemon. 2. Meowths are known as lucky cats and ever since Ophelia got Bastet, even before getting her, she's had nothing but good luck. Another reason why I stick near my twin, hoping Bastet would spread her luck to me as well. I then notice her and Brock were talking and I puffed out my cheeks in jealousy.
I don't care if he's a giant flirt! How dare he flirt with her over me! I'm the superior twin! I thought as my cheeks puffed out more from the sight. Bad enough she got roses and I didn't. If Brock had seen me battle, he'd be all over me. Even if I wasn't interested in a low life like him.
Ophelia's POV
I was impressed at how Brock made special Pokemon food for each type.
"Brock, I don't want to bother you with it, but could you make a special poke food for Hercules? It gets hard to find proper protein dishes for him." I asked nicely as I pet Bastet. With her in my lap, she always helped me be more comfortable around people, though I'm not sure why.
"Of course." Brock said with a bright smile as he set down a dish for Bastet. She meowed out a thank you before nibbling on it. She gave an approving meow before eating more while purring.
"Hehe, guess she loves it." I say as I found my apple and began eating it.
"It's a special blend to give her more calcium and iron." He tells me with a smile. I finished my apple and chucked the core into the fire before pulling out a candy bar.
"I have a question for you." Brock says to me after a bit.
"And I might have an answer for you." I reply as I opened up my candy bar, a Geodude nugget bar. (Not made from Geodudes, but it's lumpy like them due to the peanuts in it.)
"Why do you dress Bastet up? Doesn't she hate it?" Brock asked me.
"Actually, she chose them. Meowths like shiny objects, she loves gold, so I let her wear them. Besides, I'm not into gold too much so it works out for us both." I explain as I give a smile.
"Meow." (Exactly.) Bastet chimed in with a big bright smile before finishing her food.
"Well, I think you'd look beautiful in gold." Brock tells me. I looked away, with my eyes not my head, while my cheeks were a very light pink.
"No, not really. I like silver better." I say softly.
"Well, what about white gold? It looks close to silver." He tells me. I stopped and thought about it, placing a finger on my chin as I looked up.
"Huh, I never thought of that… Yeah.~ I think that'll look good." I say softly before saying the last bit cheerfully. Bastet went to Brock and rubbed against him once while purring.
"Meow." (Thank you.) She said before going back to me and curled on my lap again while purring.
"You're welcome." Brock said happily to her, figuring that's what she meant.
"You want to be a breeder?" I asked as I pet her.
"Yes, it's something I've dreamed of." Brock tells me.
"It's a good dream. If you ever want advise, I can call my dad and he can tell you a few things. Being on a ranch, we sometimes help breed pokemon in heat. Well, I was only told but never actually seen." I explained to him.
"I'll remember that. So, what's your dream?" Brock asks me.
"To travel the region, to see many Pokemon, to learn more from nature than books, battle to get badges and be the best that I can be. If I fail as a trainer, then I can still travel and more." I explain simply.
"You seem to have your priorities straight." He says to me.
"I've been planning this since I was 6 or 7, can't remember which, but I wanted to start at 10. Oh well." I say with a shrug as I finished my candy bar and tossed the wrapper in the fire.
"Why didn't you?" Brock asked me.
"Mom made me wait until Callista was ready, claiming not to have twins split up, and while dad agreed for the twin thing, he also figured traveling together would be safer than alone as well as improve ourselves." I explained to him.
"What do you mean?" Brock asked me.
"Well, I'm a secluded type. I prefer to be alone, though Ash had been an exception as well as you and Misty, while my sister prefers being overly social." I explained as I saw her talking with Misty again.
"So, your dad thinks you will balance each other out? Know when to be social and when not to?" Brock asked me curiously. I nodded.
"Mhm. Exactly that. Plus we don't get along so he hopes we grow a stronger bond." I tell him.
"Why aren't you two close?" He asked me curiously.
"You ask a lot of questions." I tell him.
"Ah, sorry. I just want to know more about you, beautiful." He says to me, causing me to blush again.
Before I could say anything, Ash piped up, after talking with Seymour, to his Pikachu. Before we knew it, Pikachu and Clefairy were off, followed by Zubat, Butterfree and Bastet. We put the fire out and packed up quick before following them, me picking up the unwell Sandshrew to bring with us. I ended up pulling Callista's suitcase just to get there faster. It soon turned dark, full moon over us thankfully, as we followed the leading Clefairy all the way to wherever. Yes, we're still on Mt. Moon. After 2 hours of following the Clafairy, that meant we stopped running after a while and paced ourselves a up the mountain through the trees while Ash and Brock put Butterfree and Zubat away, we made it to where Clefairy wanted to lead us.
"Another cave?" Callista asked as her eye twitched. I put the handle of her suitcase back in her hand after seeing that.
"Must be important if Clefairy showed us the way." I voiced my thoughts before following Clefairy, Bastet and Pikachu. The others joined me as well. It wasn't deep, but still dark until we reached the cave room. My jaw dropped at how amazing this was.
"It's the core of the Moonstone." Seymour gasped out.
It was astounding! A giant, almost perfect spherical, comet sized stone lay in the center, perched up on another stone, as it shimmered in the moonlight. After putting Sandshrew down, who was feeling much better by the way, I pulled out my camera before taking a picture. The lighting was just right.
"It's so beautiful." My twin and I gasp out together as I shook the picture to show the image more clearly.
"This feels like a dream!" Misty gasped with a smile on her face.
"So the Moon Stone legend is true." Brock said as he was smiling too. I was trying to get as many pictures as possible.
Note to self, try to get a better camera when possible. I thought as I took a picture of Clefairy adding, what seemed to be the last big chunk of, Moon Stone to the pile.
That's when I had noticed more small ones, bigger than my fragments, all around it like a ring. Once Clefairy added the last one, the ring of Moon Stones started glowing before the giant one followed suit. I gasped as I took picture after picture, letting my copies fall to the ground, as I noticed more Clefairy came out. I took more and more pictures. Soon, we were surrounded by a few dozen Clefairy as I decided to pick up all my pictures.
"So many cuties!" My sister fawned over each one. I looked at Bastet.
"Could you ask if any would be willing to be with Callista on her team?" I asked her.
"Meow." (Of course.) She meowed with a nod.
"Meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow meow meow?" (Excuse me darlings, but would any of you be willing to be on my owner's sister's team?) She asked them as she used her paw to point at Callista. A lot of them shook their heads no, some where scratching their cheeks in confusion, but one of them, the one that guided us, raised her hand and chanted her name over and over.
"Meow meow." (She said she would.) Bastet said.
"Hey Callista, that one chanting has agreed to be on your team." I say as I point her out.
"Really?!" She asked gleefully. Clefairy nodded and rushed over to her before hugging her leg. Callista was very happy while Seymour seemed confused.
"Since Clefairy is willing, there's no reason to argue no, correct?" I asked Seymour. He looked at me, blinked twice, before smiling.
"I guess not." Seymour said in defeat, though the smile never fell. After she caught her with the pokeball, she let her out again.
"I'll call you… Well, I was going to call you Fairy, but that's too simple." She said as she tried to think. "Fairy fairy!" Clefairy said before going with the others. Soon, they started dancing and twirling in circles around the Moon Stone Comet while singing a beautiful tune. I quickly took more pictures in joy.
"What are they doing?" Ash asked. Callista's Clefairy went and talked to Pikachu and Bastet.
"What are they saying?" Callista asked me.
I can't tell her, otherwise they'll know. I thought to myself.
"I'm not sure." I say to her.
"Pika pika." Pikachu said and started telling Ash. Ash thought they were doing the Macarena and made Pikachu fall over.
"Unlikely. Maybe something else?" I asked curiously. After some trial and error, we soon found out the Clefairy were doing this as a prayer to the moon.
"Hey sis, how about Luna for Clefairy?" I asked her.
"No, it's a good name but not right." She tells me.
"Maybe Priestess?" I asked her.
"Ah! Clefairy, do you like Moon Dancer?" Callista asked her.
"Clefairy!" She chanted loudly with a bright smile.
"Moon Dancer it is!" She said happily. I took a picture of her with Moon Dancer as a token. I was happy she got the pokemon she wanted. As Seymour ranted about riding the comet to the stars, Meowth piped about.
"Stars? That's our cue!" Meowth cried out. I looked and saw Team Rocket before rolling my eyes.
"Not you three." I say with a huff. This was certainly annoying. As Seymore tried to defend the Clefairy and Moon Stone, his knees shaking though, Team Rocket teased him on it. Seymour went to attack them, but they tripped him and he lost his glasses.
"Callista, go help him." I tell her. She nodded and I got in front of everyone.
"My turn!" I say as Bastet joined me.
"Cutie Pie, Hercules, join the fun!" I yell as I threw out my pokeballs to bring out my Butterfree and Machop. They cried out as all three were in front of me, just as Jessie and James brought out Ekans and Koffing.
"You're taking us on?" Jessie asked in a cocky tone.
"Yeah! My three versus your two and Meowth!" I cried out.
"Ophelia, wait." Ash told me.
"No. I'm tired of them already." I say as my eyes showed fire.
"Ekans, underground!" Jessie yelled.
"Koffing! Smoke Screen!" James yelled.
"Mewoth, Sneak Attack!" Meowth yelled out.
"Herc, use dig and follow Ekans. Cutie Pie, Use Whirl Wind. Bastet, Use Charm on Meowth!" I ordered them.
As Ekans went underground, Hercules followed in fast pursuit, Koffing used Smoke Screen, but Cutie Pie used Whirl Wind to fly it back at him, Jessie and James. Meowth went to sneak attack, but got caught by Bastet and charmed again. Herc then threw Ekans up and into a wall, Bastet used Iron tail to hit Meowth into Ekans, but Koffing used Smoke Screen again. When Cutie Pie used Whirl Wind again, I noticed all were gone.
"Huh? Did they, give up?" I asked suddenly.
"Oh no! The Moon Stone!" Misty gasped out. I turned and saw that.
"They used the battle to distract! Darn it!" I yelled in anger before stomping my foot. Brock then brought out Onix and told him to follow down the hole that was made. Probably a machine. We had to hurry and catch them.
"Callista, keep looking for those glasses!" I say as we ran past them. We had to hurry.
Callista's POV
It was dark and I couldn't find his glasses. I went to tell him, but then saw Moon Dancer had them and gave them to Seymour. He thanked her as more Clefairy went to him. I went over as he asked why they weren't trying to stop Team Rocket and if they understood him.
"I think they wanted to help us first." I say to him.
"Clefairy." Moon Dancer said with a nod, agreeing with me, before pointing to the hole.
"We can follow faster that way." I say to him before going into the hole.
I hated getting dirty, but that stone was more important to the Clefairy than my clothes. Hard to believe, I know. With Seymour and the Clefairy following me in and through the hole all the way to the end of the hole, climbing up to do so, while the Clefairy sprung out and scattered around in front of me and Seymour. I had heard James order Koffing to use Counter and saw Onix on the ground behind us, looking hurt. Counter did twice the damage back to them from whatever attack they did. I looked and then noticed the Clefairy had their fingers up, one on each hand, before waving them back and forth while chanting. It was catchy. I bobbed my head side to side to match them as everyone else did, as if in a trance.
"What are they doing?" I chanted with the tone of the Clefairy.
"This is an attack that Clefairy use called the Metronome? I've never seen the Clefairy use the Metronome before." Seymour chanted as I remembered what this attack did. It was an attack that could allow Clefairy to do any attack, from something as weak as Splash, to something as strong as Self Destruct and Solar Beam!
"Who knows what'll happen!" He chanted more.
As soon as he finished, the Clefairy put their hands down and began glowing. The ground beneath cracked before a large red beam shot up from under them. Because they were all synced up, it allowed them to do one large attack. Explosion! As some of the Clefairy sprung all over, but not getting hurt, Team Rocket blasted off again. We saw the hole and were all impressed. Unfortunately, the Moon Stone comet was destroyed as well, but we saw small fragments fall down to some of the Clefairy, evolving them to Clefable. We took out Dexter and analyzed.
"Clefable. An advanced form of Clefairy, these unique creatures are among the rarest Pokemon in the world." Dexter said. I looked and was both pleased and upset it didn't land of Moon Dancer. Pleased because she could stay cute, but upset because she wasn't advanced and more rare. Still, I was impressed as half of them had evolved. I looked and saw a Moon Stone and took it.
"Moon Dancer, is it alright if I keep this? For when you're ready to evolve?" I asked her.
"Fairy!" She chanted out with a nod. She then grabbed more and gave one to each of the others. They were thankful before pocketing them.
The Clefairy and Clefable then gathered up the fragments and brought them back to the cave, through the hole, with us behind them carrying more until we made a pile with them. Then the Clefairy and Clefable did their little dance/chant prayers around the pile, Clefairy on the inside spinning to the right while Clefable on the outside spinning left, while Ophelia took more pictures.
For once, I was glad she was doing so. No pictures of me were annoying, but this was a rare exception because I wanted some of the pictures as well. As Seymour mentioned something about living with the Clefairy, I just kept watching in amazement until the sun rose. We were tired, but too amazed about what we had witnessed to care. We were being guided out of the cave, my sister holding the Sandshrew, until we saw a Sandslash with two other small Sandshrew. Moon Dancer and the Sandshrew talked and Ophelia put it down.
"You should go home with your family." She tells the Sandshrew.
Sandshrew nodded before scurrying off to its family. They then dug a little tunnel away. I felt bad, because I know she wanted Sandshrew, but she had a smile as if to say she was satisfied with her result. Seymour said he would take the lights down today and the Clefairy and Clefable agreed to help him with it. Now we were out of the cave, on the other side of the mountain it turned out, as we waved goodbye to all of them and wished them well. As we walked on, Ash began to speak.
"Do you think the Clefairy really came to earth from outer space?" Ash asked.
"It's fun to imagine they did!" Misty said happily. I shrugged and accepted that answer. I looked down at Moon Dancer, who was skipping along with me, before I smiled.
"Thank you for coming with me." I say softly to her.
"Fairy!" She said happily with a smile. This made me smile too. After about 3 hours, since we left at around 9am judging from the sun, we made it to a sign that said Cerulean City while pointing to the right. As they talked I noticed something on the sign.
"Hey, what's this say?" I asked as I pointed to the small writing. To be fair, I was about 6 feet away and Ophelia, Brock and Ash were closer.
"Yeah, well, they say some kids like to write silly notes on these signs." Ash said with his eyes closed, trying to be grown up like, causing Ophelia and I to roll our eyes. Ophelia bent down to see it.
"Gary was here? Ash and Ophelia are losers! What the hell, man!" Ophelia yelled out as she got angry. Ok, Gary was attractive for being 10 and all, but I didn't like him calling my sister something that was true. That's my call!
"Oh! That Gary! I'll show you, ugh!" Ash said as he had a full blown tantrum about it.
"Well, Gary is better." I tell them.
"Stay out of this!" Ophelia and Ash yelled at me at the same time. That was uncalled for. Then Ash and Ophelia began running to Cerulean City together.
"What's the hurry?" Misty questioned.
"Ash'll never learn." Brock said suddenly.
"Neither will Ophelia. For some reason, the two dislike Gary. I don't see how." I say with a shrug as we followed behind them in a walking motion. The two will tire soon and we wouldn't arrive there until tomorrow unless we rode our Rapidash. I don't understand them at all. I noticed Misty seemed sad.
"Anything wrong?" I asked as I slowed down a little so her and I could talk alone.
"No, nothing." She tells me.
"Don't tell me that." I tell her as I gave her a knowing look. She sighed.
"Well, I have three older sisters at home. Actually, you remind me of them with your beauty and how you taunt your sister like they do with me, but you're nicer at least." She tells me. I decided it was a compliment mostly and just nodded for her to continue.
"If I go back there, they might tease me again." She tells me.
"For?" I asked her.
"Everything really." She tells me.
"Do you think they do it to help you out?" I asked her. She shook her head no.
"I'm the youngest, I'm not as beautiful as them, they have always done this to me. It makes me feel like they hate me." She tells me. My heart broke from hearing that as a thought crossed my mind.
Did I make Ophelia feel like that? I thought as I comforted Misty.
"Hey, well, you don't need that. I'm sure they love you but just don't understand how to express it to someone who's different than them." I explained as I suddenly realized it's kind of how I felt towards Ophelia. Even though we were twins, we were different, therefore we never fully understood each other. It also didn't help mom favored me so dad gave her extra attention because of that. I was starting to see that clearly, now.
Maybe… Sis and I should talk. I thought as Moon Dancer cheered Misty up. I'd have to remember to talk to her when the time was right. When would that be?
Thanks for reading! Please review! They help me out a lot to hear your thoughts, good and/or bad.
