Chapter 8- Reinforcements

Xander was sweeping glass from the floor. He stopped and addressed the room. Buffy was doing research at the dining room table, sitting next to Willow who was using her laptop compute, and Peter was helping her there. Spike, Tara, Faith, Dawn and Anya were on the couch in the living room looking through books.

Xander looked exasperated. "It's a loop. I'm doomed to replace these windows for all eternity. You know, maybe we should just board these up until things are less hellmouthy."

Anya held up notebooks she was reading. "Nothing...and nothing." She held up two other books, one in each hand. "Cliff Notes to nothing. Nothing abridged..."

"There is nothing in any of these to help us", Tara sighed. "Basically, outside of Buffy's encounter with the First from 4 years ago, we've nothing."

"So I guess this is just us wasting time", Spike shrugged.

"Yeah, guess not much to use here", Faith agreed.

Willow looked up from her computer. "Yeah, my search isn't turning anything up either."

"Nothing about it in any Demon database either, its like no one talks of it", Peter commented.

Willow asked Buffy. "Are you sure this thing called itself The First?"

Buffy confirmed. "Pretty sure. It claimed to be the original evil, the one that came before anything else."

Anya looked up over her reading glasses. "Please, how many times have I heard that line in my demon days? "I'm so rotten, they don't even have a word for it. I'm bad. Baddy bad bad bad. Does it make you horny?"" Everyone stared at her. "Or terrified. Whatever."

"And you thought I was out of line", Faith quipped as she and Spike chuckled.

Buffy told them. "It wasn't a line. When I came up against this thing, I felt it. It was ancient and enormous. It nearly got Angel to kill himself. And if we don't rescue Curt soon, God only knows what the First'll get him to do."

"Yeah, we have to get to him, fast, and we need to know where too", Peter pointed out. "Or its gonna be bad for us all."

"So, what do we do?" Dawn wondered.

Buffy told her. "Keep reading. If we're gonna rescue Curt, we need to figure out how to fight this thing."

"Hey! Here, The First!" Willow spoke up, then read further "...Bank of Delaware. Sorry."

"It happens, honey", Tara assured from where she was and Willow nodded.

"Let's just keep at it", Peter shrugged.

Buffy sighed. "Hand me the Watchers' Codex again." Someone handed her an old-looking book.

"Can I get you anything else, baby?"

Buffy recognized the voice and turned to look. "How 'bout some tea?"

Buffy was shocked. "Mom?" She sighed and closed her eyes. "You're not real."

Joyce bent to Buffy's eye level. "OK, is that, uh, slang, like you're not for real, or—?"

Buffy looked her in the eyes. "You're The First."

Joyce was all motherly. "Oh, baby, you're so tired, you're not making sense. Maybe you should get some sleep."

"No."

"You can't win against this thing. Not if you don't rest."

Buffy was now visibly shaken. "Stop. Stop being like this. It's a lie."

"I don't want to scare you, but I want you to take care", Joyce then slowly said. "You need to wake up."

"What?"

"You're dreaming. Buff, wake up."

Buffy had fallen asleep at the dining room table, and now woke up. "Hm? Did you see it?" She looked around.

Xander told her. "There's nothing to see. You were just doing a little dream talking, that's all."

"Oh."

"Never noticed you do that before though", Spike commented as he sat next to Buffy.

"First time for everything", Buffy shrugged.

Xander asked. "You OK? What'd you see?"

Buffy shook her head. "Nothing. It was nothing."

Curt was being dragged, face up, along the dirt ground, with Latin chanting in the background. His chest wounds had started to close, but the symbols cut into him remained clear on his chest.

Curt looked around, a little disoriented, and saw Harbingers with torches and someone dragging him. It was the UberVamp dragging Curt into a special room.

The UberVamp stopped, letting go of Curt's leg, and stared at him.

Spike/First walked into the room. "Go on. Give it a kick then."

It then morphed into Peter and kneeled to watch the UberVamp kick Curt in the ribs so hard he rolled over. Curt lifted his head to glare angrily at the UberVamp. The UberVamp hissed and growled at Curt.

"Not to worry, you can have your fun here for a while."

The UberVamp went back to Curt, kicking him. Curt screamed.

The Gang was researching when there was a knock on the door, and Buffy opened it to see Giles on the other side.

"Buffy."

"Giles."

Faith noticed him and waved. "Hey G-man."

"I made that", Xander muttered.

"No patent on it though", Faith shrugged as they chuckled.

"Good to see you back", Spike said to him.

"Yeah, we were wondering where you went", Peter commented.

Buffy went to hug Giles, but was cut off when three girls she'd never met walked right into her house.

The first said. "Nice place. Bit of a mess." She walked inside.

The second walked by Buffy and smiled, but said nothing.

The 3rd looked at Buffy and asked. "This is a Slayer?"

"No, this is", Faith spoke up from where she was sitting.

"Now I'm convinced", she walked in as Buffy sputtered.

Buffy looked at Giles in confusion as he said. "Sorry to barge in. We have a slight apocalypse."

A while later, Peter and Dawn were standing in front of the three girls Giles brought with him. The three girls were lined up against the wall, and Peter and Dawn were inspecting them.

Dawn then asked. "They're all Slayers?"

Giles confirmed. "Potential Slayers. Waiting for one to be called. There were many more like them all over the world, but, um, now there's just a handful, and they're all on their way to Sunnydale."

Buffy noted. "The others were murdered."

"Yeah, I saw them", Faith sighed sadly.

"In cold blood. As well as their watchers. We always feared that this day would come, when there'd be an attack against not just an individual Slayer, but against the whole line", Giles told all of them.

"Wait…" Peter trailed off and his eyes widened. "The Black Cat would be a Potential too."

"The thief from a few weeks ago?" Giles asked and got a nod.

Dawn pouted at Black Cat's mention as Peter cringed, then said. "Yeah, these guys were after her, so she's a potential Slayer as well."

"We need to find her then", Giles said.

Buffy realized. "So this is what the First wants."

Giles confirmed. "Yes, to erase all the Slayers in training and their watchers along with their methods."

"Ending it with the two of us", Faith noted.

"And then there'd be no more Slayers to stop 'em", Spike finished.

Willow spoke up. "But we haven't found any information on The First. No documentation—"

Giles crossed his arms. "That's because it predates any written history, and it rarely shows its true face. The only record I know was in the Council Library."

Anya inquired. "What about the Council? What do they say about this?"

"Gone." Giles looked at Buffy, who stared back in shock.

"What?" Tara asked in horror. "All of them? They were all killed other than you?"

"Obliterated", Giles confirmed. "They were in session, and, uh, there was an explosion."

Willow asked. "That means all the Council's records are-are destroyed?"

"Annabelle!"

The second girl unzipped her book bag, taking two books and a stack of files from it and lay them on the coffee table in front of Willow and Tara. "That's what's left."

Willow, Tara, Faith, Spike, Dawn, Peter, Buffy and Anya each took some of the new material and perused it.

"The mystic secrets of the Watchers. And whatever I could find on The First. When I learned what was happening, I-I, um, I stole them."

Anya quipped. "And you blew the Council up! See, this is what happens when you're all stuffy and repressed. You overreact."

"Not—I didn't. Must've been an agent of The First, after my little burglary session. The knowledge contained in these files had to be protected, and there wasn't time for-for bureaucracy or debate. The Council knows no other way", Giles told them all.

"Not to worry, we knew you didn't do it", Peter assured Giles. "And what do these records say about The First?"

Giles now confessed. "Uh, very little. It can change form. Uh, it only appears in the guise of someone who's passed away."

Tara noted. "Our ghosts."

"How did it turn into you then?" Willow asked Tara.

"Maybe it includes people who have been dead and are not anymore", Tara suggested.

"Yeah, that could be true", Spike shrugged.

Giles added. "Also it's not corporeal. It can't touch or fight on it's own. It only works through those it manipulates. And its followers, the Bringers."

The third girl commented. "Those freaks in the black robes."

The first one said. "Yeah, with the hoodies and the crazy alphabet eyes. I never saw 'em, I just heard—"

Annabelle shushed her. "Shh! Molly, Mr. Giles doesn't need us prattling on."

Giles sat on the arm of couch. "The First is unlike anything we've faced before. I mean, there's evil and then there's the thing that created evil, the source."

Buffy asked. "And that's what this thing claims to be?"

"That's what it is. It has eternities to act, endless resources." Giles stood up. "How to defeat it—I-I—", he sighed. "Honestly I don't know. But we have to find a way. If the Slayer line is eliminated, then the hell mouth has no guardian. The balance is destroyed." Giles walked up to Buffy. "I'm afraid it falls to you, Buffy. Sorry. I mean, we'll do what we can, but you're the only one who has the strength to protect these girls—and the world—against what's coming."

"You forget, there are 2 Slayers now, and I plan on staying here for a bit", Faith spoke up to Giles. "All of us need to act together here."

Xander quipped. "But no pressure?"

The third girl asked. "That's it? That's the plan? I don't see how two people, even 2 Slayers, could protect us. I saw what those bringer guys can do. They tore apart my Watcher."

Giles started. "Of course we'll use all our resources—"

"And if this thing is the root of all evil, isn't the hell mouth it's number one vacation spot? I mean, don't you think we should be hiding our asses on the other side of the globe?"

Annabelle snapped. "Kennedy!"

"No, she's not wrong", Buffy agreed. "We need all we have. We have to find Curt."

Anya added. "Yeah, he'll help. You know, if he's not crazy or off killing people or dead. Or, you know, all of the above."

"He'll make it", Tara assured Anya.

Curt's head was thrust underwater, and he struggled under the force of hands that were holding him down.

Drusilla/First was pacing behind them, supervising. Finally, Curt stopped struggling, and the UberVamp pulled Curt's head out of the pool and threw him on the ground.

"That's why both of our kind make such good dollies."

Lying face up on the ground, Curt coughed out water. He looked away from Drusilla/First.

"Hard to kill. Tried to enlighten little Buffy, didn't you? Spilled, spilled, spilled the secrets like seed." She reached down to touch her dress at thigh level, slowly starting to pull up her skirt. "But you forgot, I say what you tell and what you know. I say when this is over." She let go of her skirt and put her hands behind her head. "And I'm not done with you yet. Not nearly."

She clicked her tongue. On Drusilla/First's command, the UberVamp picked up Curt and headed for the pool, forcing his head underwater again.

Buffy, Spike, Faith and Giles were walking side by side down the street.

Giles inquired. "This place you originally saw The First—you say it was in a Christmas tree lot?"

Buffy confirmed to them. "Under it. There was a hidden cavern. Just happened to be under a tree lot. The Bringers were doing some kind of ritual." She looked at Giles. "Giles, this is bad, isn't it? A new kind of bad."

"And just in time for Christmas, better pump out the carols", Spike quipped, shaking his head.

"Would have if this wasn't such a mess", Faith told him.

Buffy sighed, looking around. "You know, I didn't even realize it was December. Maybe when we get home, we should decorate the rubble."

"Will do", Spike shrugged.

Soon, the four of them walked into the empty Christmas tree lot. Lights were strung, but there were no trees there. The four of them were looking around.

Giles asked. "So the entrance to the cave was above ground here?"

Buffy confirmed. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was around here somewhere."

"Well, we'll just keep— "

A crunch of breaking wood was heard.

"Aah!"

Spike, Faith and Giles turned to look.

"Found it!"

Buffy had fallen into a hole in the ground that was covered with wooden slats that apparently gave way.

Giles put his glasses on and bent to look into the hole with Spike and Faith.

"You okay, Buffy?" Spike asked in concern.

Buffy had fallen into a cave and landed on top of some rubble. She stood and dusted herself off while talking to the rest. "Peachy, except my knees bend backwards now. OK, guys, stay up there. I'm gonna check it out."

"You sure you don't want us to join?" Faith inquired from above.

"I got this", Buffy assured, then walked off further into the cave, walking around among the various cave formations.

She looked up, she looked down, and then something passed behind Buffy, unseen by her. She turned to look, but no one was behind her. When she turned back, the UberVamp hissed in her face.

Buffy was startled, and the UberVamp took that opportunity to punch her so hard she flew across the room, landing against the wall and falling to the ground.

He kicked and punched her with such force that her blocks were mostly ineffective. She retreated, but he followed.

She then kicked him, and grabbing a rock, leapt and kicked again, then again. She then tried to strike as he blocked and dodged a kick, and then he tried to strike as she dodged.

He then spun and knocked her down, sending her rolling into another room. She got to her feet before the UberVamp could get to her and readied herself with a stake.

When he finally came close enough, she staked him right through the heart. He looked at the stake, growled, then looked at Buffy, and took out the stake.

Buffy's eyes grew wide as she stared in utter shock. Fade to black.

The UberVamp punched Buffy and came after her with her own stake. Buffy avoided his attacks, but her back was literally against the wall. Her eyes were still wide as she watches him come after her.

He punched her in the stomach and threw her against the wall. She threw a punch at him, but he caught her fist in his palm and squeezed until it made crunching sounds, then twisted her arm, then pulled her body by the arm until he slammed her head into a stalagmite, before finally grabbing her throat, squeezing, and lifting her off the ground.

Buffy winced and looks around desperately until she found a stalactite. She broke the stalactite off of the cave ceiling and bashed the UberVamp's head with it. He dropped her and fell to the ground.

While he was recovering, Buffy made a run for it. She climbed the cave walls toward the hole where she'd fell in. She was almost out, her hands were on the Christmas tree lot ground, when the UberVamp grabbed her heel.

Buffy struggled against him, trying to get out of the hole, when Spike grasped her. "Come on!"

He struggled against the Ubervamp, and then Faith joined him, the two grunting and pulling Buffy out as Giles came up behind them.

The Ubervamp looked at the sunlight and retreated with a growl.

Buffy, Spike, Faith and Giles walked into the kitchen through the back door.

"...the others just yet. It'll give us a chance to—" The four saw the three girls in the kitchen, eating breakfast.

Kennedy was eating cereal. "Sorry about the British invasion."

Molly prepared toast and jelly. "We've been up for hours."

Annabelle drank from a mug. "4 P.M. London time."

Kennedy asked Buffy. "Are you all right? You look..."

Buffy shut the door. "Oh. Yeah, I'm OK. I just got into a fight is all." She asked Giles and Spike. "You know anything about it?" She took off her coat.

Giles suggested. "Yes, Buffy, but don't you think we should, uh, discuss this privately?"

Buffy made a point. "You mean, not in front of the next generation? No time to coddle them, Giles. Welcome to the war room, guys."

Annabelle got out a notepad to take notes.

"B does have a point, this is not an upcoming threat, its already here, best we let them know about it", Faith agreed with Buffy.

"Well, it's a Stone Age Vampire", Spike said as they looked at him. "Never thought I'd meet one of those bloody sods. Now I have. And they can rip apart modern Vampires like paper." Spike made a tearing motion with his hands, making the rest of them gulp.

Giles continued. "It is called a Turok-Han. Primordial, ferociously powerful killing machines, as single-minded as animals."

Faith noted. "So, The First shows up, and now this? You think it's a coincidence?"

Giles said. "I think it's more likely that the Turok-Han is here as an agent of The First."

Annabelle inquired. "Um, did you slay it?"

Buffy shook her head. "No, it's still out there, somewhere."

"Yeah, was too strong", Spike added.

Molly asked. "What's it want?"

Buffy was blunt. "All of us dead." She then added. "But for now it looks like sunlight is keeping this UberVamp away."

Giles suggested. "So, until sunset, I suggest you get some rest. A few hours sleep will do a world of difference."

Buffy wasn't in the mood. "No sleep today. Can't."

Giles pointed out. "Oh, come on, you're exhausted."

"Look B, if you want to take it out, best be at full strength, wait for the Slayer healing to kick in", Faith suggested to Buffy.

"Yeah, not as good as Vampire healing, but comes in handy, and best to rest so it kicks in, ya know?" Spike told her, grasping her shoulders.

Buffy looked between the two and muttered. "Maybe you two should date instead."

She then walked off upstairs to rest as Spike and Faith shared a chuckle.

Curt was propped up on a rock, looking beaten and haggard. One of his eyes was swollen shut. He lay there as Peter/First stood in front of him talking.

"Think of it as a game. A fun, funny game. Without all the rules, or any of the bothersome winning part. But still, there are sides. You have to choose a side, Curt, or be devoured from beneath you."

Curt snarled. "You're not Peter.

"No, I'm really not."

"He is too nice."

"Awww, Professor, I am so touched, you find me nice", Peter/First stroked Curt's face, and he looked away when the UberVamp punched his head.

"You need a caning yourself, you know?" Peter/First told him.

"Peter..."

"Hmm?"

"Screw you."

Peter/First walked off. "No responsibility in picking the words."

The UberVamp started pummeling Curt again.

Later- Willow, Spike, Faith, Tara and Dawn were getting weapons from the weapons chest. Giles was pacing. Peter and Xander were finishing up working on the living room window. The Slayers in training were sitting on the couch.

"This day's almost over", Giles looked at the watch. "And the sun will go down in 17 minutes."

"So it'll be time for that thing and me", Spike muttered, cracking his neck. "Let's see how it goes."

Xander called out to the Potentials. "Hey, junior Slayers, don't look so worried. I mean, sure, we don't know where Curt is, or how to fight The First, or if and when the super style vampire is gonna attack us all. However, house—" he tapped the hammer on boarded up windows, "boarded up. No all we gotta do is trap this UberVamp in a pantry, and it's game over."

Willow told him. "Xander, newbies. Let's ease them in to the whole "jokes in the face of death" thing."

Xander asked. "Who's joking? That pantry thing could work. Are you saying M. Night Shamalayan lied to us?"

"I think he did", Peter muttered before telling the Potentials. "But don't worry, we'll get it this time."

"Right, you will", Kennedy looked him up and down, unimpressed.

"Show why you're useful, then talk", Dawn spoke up to Kennedy, who glared.

"I'll kick your ass if you talk to me like that again", Kennedy sneered at her.

"I'll kick your ass first", Peter said to Kennedy, who now lost it and tried to throw a punch but found herself on the ground, Peter standing over her, having pinned her down with his foot.

"We're under attack and you're trying to make yourself feel better by looking down on others. If we want to survive this, we must work together, like a team", Peter removed his foot and held out his hand. "Can you do that?"

Kennedy slapped his hand away and got up, walking off, as Peter muttered. "Guess not."

"I've seen those types, mate, don't listen to reason", Spike assured him.

"Hey, new girl", Faith called out to Kennedy who looked at her. "Chill out."

"Yeah, this is no time to fight amongst each other, the fight is coming to us", Tara agreed. "And its not gonna be nice."

Buffy arrived and assured. "You'll be OK."

"What about us?" Tara asked Buffy, gesturing to herself and Willow.

"Stay here, if it comes here, you two can take it out", Buffy said, and they nodded.

"Sounds good", Willow agreed.

Kennedy now asked them. "Hey, are we getting weapons? Trained fighters? Patton is coming? I've heard worse ideas."

"Yeah, best to arm you guys too", Faith said as she went off to get weapons for them.

A while later, Buffy was looking out the window, and she turned to speak to Spike, Faith, Peter and Giles as they walked up to her.

"How're we doing on time?"

Giles told her. "Sunset should be any minute now. Done everything we can. And don't worry, everyone here understands that you're calling the shots."

Buffy sighed. "I just hope I'm calling the right ones."

"Well, as long as you listen to what the rest say and consider it, all good", Peter assured her.

"Yeah, no need to do it alone, delegate some stuff", Faith said, tapping Buffy's shoulder.

"We're with you till the end, Buffy", Spike assured as they smiled at each other.

Molly then entered, interrupting them. "Guys? Annabelle split."

Annabelle was running down the street, looking over her shoulder. She'd run into an industrial manufacturing complex, and as she ran past a dumpster, the UberVamp jumped out and grabs her by the throat, growling and lifting her off the ground.

"Incoming!"

Peter as Spider-Man swung and kicked the UberVamp away, making it drop Annabelle. It staggered up with a sneer and charged as Peter quickly fired two webs above onto the sides behind it and swung over it, getting onto its other side as they turned to each other.

"Anyone tell you to get some plastic surgery?" Peter quipped as it charged but Peter blocked a strike and punched its face, then did a flip and spin, kicking it into a corner. "And you need some work on the teeth too."

As it started staggering up, Buffy pulled it from behind and slamming it into a wall, decked it thrice, then tried to stake it but it grabbed her hand and threw her off.

Faith then kicked it from a side, sending it into Spike, who was in Vamp face, and he gave it two punches but it blocked the third and grabbing his hand, threw him into Faith as both rolled away.

It marched towards them and Peter was about to fight when suddenly it was hit by multiple bullets, staggering back, and they turned around to see Bucky lowering his gun.

Natasha then appeared and fired her Widow's Bite at it while Fitz, Simmons, Bobbi and Hunter fired ICERs at the same time, making it convulse violently.

"Oh boy!" Spike backed off, deciding to let them finish it.

It got back up with a roar but was kicked on the face by Bucky, sending it flying up and crashing to the ground. As it got back up, Bucky punched its face, then kneed its gut, then elbowed its face in a spin motion.

"Stake!" He called out.

"Here!" Faith tossed him hers as Bucky caught it and tried to stab the Ubervamp.

It grabbed his hand to block, trying to push him back, and then Bucky brought in his metal arm, which resonated as he used it to add to his effort, gritting his teeth, and with a roar, managed to push the stake deep, right into the heart, finally dusting it.

"The Avengers?" Annabelle looked at Bucky and Natasha. "Spider-Man? Oh boy! We're saved!"

"Thanks for the help", Buffy said gratefully to the new arrivals. "But why are you here?"

"Let's go to the base, and we'll talk", Natasha suggested.

Later, Summers House

"So, what? You two are Potentials as well?" Buffy asked Natasha and Jemma.

"Well, those Bringers, as you call them, came after us, so I believe we are", Jemma shrugged. "Did not expect it though."

"Yeah, so I'm supposed to be called if you die, huh?" Natasha said to Buffy while looking at herself.

"You're one of the many who could be called", Buffy corrected.

"Well, its good you lot came, we needed help here", Giles said to Bucky, Natasha and the SHIELD Agents. "That Turok-Han was something else."

"Bringing in the Cavalry too?" Spike asked.

"If you mean Agent May, no, she, Director Mack, Daisy and Elena are staying as there are other missions for them to do", Fitz explained to Spike.

"So you're stuck with the four of us", Hunter said, making the number '4' on his fingers.

"Us, and 2 Avengers", Bobbi gestured to them with her head.

"And the rest?" Tara asked them.

"Well, Steve and Sam are after the Flag Smashers, Thor's off-world, Stark, Clint and Dr. Banner are retired, Wanda and Carol are both in rehab, one for grief, other for grief and alcoholism", Bucky summed up for them. "Right now, you've only got us."

"Still better than what we had before", Faith told him. "At least now we have good firepower."

"So, you got any plans?" Willow asked them.

"Beyond coming here, not much, since we didn't know much about what was going on", Bucky said before turning to Natasha and Jemma. "You 2 are Potentials though, surprisingly, you have any suggestions?"

"Not yet, I don't", Simmons said, looking at Fitz. "We work best when we have all facts laid out for us."

"And I do not believe we do", Fitz agreed.

"Usually I'd take charge but I only just found out I am a Potential, which is shocking, and so I'm not very familiar with the supernatural", Natasha turned to look at Buffy. "Floor's all yours."

Buffy looked at all of them, and finally decided to speak.

"You killed one of them, but I know there are more. And it won't stop", Now she turned resolute. "I'm standing on the mouth of hell, and it is gonna swallow me whole. And it'll choke on me. We're not ready? They're not ready. They think we're gonna wait for the end to come, like we always do. I'm done waiting. They want an apocalypse? Oh, we'll give 'em one. Anyone else who wants to run, do it now. 'Cause we just became an army with the Avengers here." She looked at the six new arrivals while saying that. "We just declared war. From now on, we won't just face our worst fears, we will seek them out. We will find them, and cut out their hearts one by one, until The First shows itself for what it really is. And I'll kill it myself. There is only one thing on this earth more powerful than evil, and that's us. Any questions?"

Peter raised his hand.

"Yes?"

"What about Curt?"

Still shackled to the cave wall, Curt saw someone walk up to him.

It was Buffy, holding a knife, with Peter next to her.

She cut him loose and he collapsed forwards, the two catching him. He realized they'd touched him and smiled.

"You two…"

"Yeah, you're safe", Peter assured Curt.

"Come on", Buffy said, as they led him away.

Next night, a charter bus opened its doors, and a couple of people walked down the steps to exit the vehicle.

"Sunnydale. Watch your step. Next stop..."

The last person to exit was a young African-American girl, wearing denim overalls and carrying a backpack. She looked around and walked forward between parked buses to the bus terminal building. The sign overhead read "OVERLAND CHARTERS".

The girl looked at the building, but the doors were closed and no lights were on. She looked around anxiously, and went to the nearby pay phone, grabbing the phone book, and started flipping through it.

The girl ran her finger down through the names, searching, before she realized that the page she needed has been torn out of the book. When she looked up from the book, she saw a black-robed, hooded, eyeless man approaching her.

She dropped the phone book and turned to run, but saw two more of these men, the Bringers, coming toward her with knives in their hands.

She backed up against the wall, panicked and breathing heavily, and sank down to the ground. Just then, the pair of Bringers between the buses were lifted off the ground and went flying apart, revealing Buffy, who had thrown them to the ground.

The third Bringer ran away while the two Buffy attacked came back for more. One lunged at her with his knife, but Buffy grabbed his hand and stabbed the other Bringer with the knife he was holding.

The stabbed Bringer doubled over in pain, and Buffy kicked him to the ground. Buffy continued to wrestle with the other Bringer, ultimately breaking his neck.

Buffy then saw the one who started running away, and called out to him.

"Hey!" She bent to pick up a Bringer's knife at her feet. "Try picking on someone my own size." Buffy hurled the knife at the fleeing Bringer, landing it in his back, stabbing him through the heart. He died.

Buffy walked up to Rona, who was still cowering on the ground.

"Rona, right?" Rona nodded. "I just got word you were arriving." She offered Rona a hand to help her up.

Rona took Buffy's hand. "You're her!"

"Her is me."

Rona was out of breath and looked around. "You know, I thought, uh—they told me I'd be safe here."

"Well, you're safer with me, there's another Slayer, a good Vampire with a soul, Spider-Man, and 2 Avengers", Buffy said, and now Rona's eyes were wide.

"Take me with you right now, please!"

Giles and Anya had decided to go to the Beljoxa's Eye to get answers, and after being led by Torg, walked towards a deep, echoing voice and discovered a creature that had got many eyes covering its surface.

It was shaped vaguely like a comet, or maybe a huge eyeball with the nerve endings streaming out behind it. The eyes covering it's pink body were of varied shapes, sizes, and colors. The round part of the creature was in a spherical metal cage suspended from the ceiling in by chains.

"Ah! Oh", Anya waved. "Hi."

"We are here because the First Evil besieges us, can you tell us about it?" Giles asked.

After a while, it spoke.

"It cannot be fought, it cannot be killed. The First Evil has been and always will be. Since before the universe was born, long after there is nothing else, it will go on."

Giles wasn't going to give up. "I refuse to believe that. There must be some way to destroy it."

"What, am I talking to myself here? There's no way."

Anya wanted to go already. "OK, we tried. Let's go, Giles." She started to walk away.

Giles inquired. "Are you saying that The First will succeed in—in wiping out the line of Slayers?"

"The eye sees not the future, only the truth of the now and before."

Anya spoke up. "Yes, we've all got that—it's called memory. Can you help us out with something a little bit more demony?"

Giles inquired. "If The First has been around for all time, then why hasn't it attempted something like this before? Why now?"

"The opportunity has only recently presented itself."

Giles questioned. "Opportunity?"

"The mystical forces surrounding the chosen line have become irrevocably altered, become unstable, vulnerable."

Anya asked. "Something The First did?"

"The First Evil did not cause the disruption, only seized upon it to extinguish the lives of the chosen forever."

Giles wondered how this came to be and asked. "Then what has caused the disruption? What—what is responsible for letting this happen?"

After a moment, it told them what.

"Thanos."

"What? How?" Giles asked, confused.

"When he snapped his fingers, the power of the Infinity Stones killed half of all life, but the energy from them also disrupted mystical forces all around the Universe, including the one around the Slayer line. And when Thor Odinson snapped again with the recreated Infinity Stones, the energy from that increased the disruption of all the forces of nature. Thanos and you all are to blame for what the First seized upon."

Giles and Anya shared a horrified look.

Same time

Peter as Spider-Man was swinging near museums. If Black Cat was a Potential, the Bringers would still be after her, and she'd be near museums.

He then heard police sirens and looked down at the cop cars driving towards a bank. "Oh boy, just what I needed."

He swung over the cars, reaching the bank soon, and crouched on the rooftop, then noticed Black Cat making away in the distance, and jumped after her.

"Hey, stop!"

She turned to him with a glare and said. "I'm leaving the city, so leave me alone."

"But you have the money", Peter pointed out.

"I'm using it to go anywhere I want, now go before I kick your ass", Black Cat snarled, when suddenly Bringers appeared around them.

"Oh you people!" She snared in rage as she threw her bag down and decked one, sending him back as Peter fired his webs at two, pulling them to him and kicking them both out, and Black Cat spin kicked another away as one more tried to strike her but she backed to avoid, only her mask was hit and fell down, revealing her face.

Peter leapt and kicked two more away before tying the last one in webs and hanging him, and then his eyes widened on seeing who it was.

"Felicia?"

Felicia stared at Peter and asked. "How do you know me?"

"Why are you running?" Peter asked her.

"These people", Felicia looked around at the unconscious Bringers. "They are after me, they attacked me at my home and killed my uncle."

"I'm sorry", Peter said in sympathy, as his own uncle had been killed off too. "I know how that feels."

"They're gonna keep coming at me, best to go off", Felicia said.

"You don't need to go", Peter assured as she looked at him. "I….we have been facing these guys too for a while. We know why they're after you. Come with me, we can protect you."

"And why should I trust you exactly? You could be scamming me to get me into bed for all I know", Felicia said with a sneer and folded arms.

"Uhh….first of all, I have a girlfriend, second of all, I won't ever do that", Peter said, shaking his head and raising both hands. "I promise."

"Again, why should I trust you?" Felicia asked again.

Peter sighed and made a decision.

"Because", he reached up and pulled his mask off, making her eyes widen as she recognized him, and looked disbelieving. "You know me too, Felicia."

And the end. With Spike, Faith, Peter, Bucky, Natasha, Fitz, Simmons, Bobbi and Hunter added, no way in Hell the Ubervamp was gonna make it past one episode, so it got ended in 7x10.

No 7x11 here, other than Rona's arrival and the reveal of why the First is after the Slayers, and hope my explanation with Thanos and the Infinity Stones made sense.

In my stories, Willow and Tara have a happily ever after (if not Willow and Tara, then Willow and Faith, but that's usually rare) and Kennedy is portrayed as the arrogant scumbag and creepy sexual predator she is, because FUCK KENNEDY!

So now Felicia knows, and Peter knows too, and so Felicia, Natasha and Jemma join as well, with the rest.

As for the First posing as Eve, I think Tara would sense it with her powers, so that'd be pointless, and she'd also know Giles is Giles, not the First, so that plotline is removed.

As for why Tara couldn't tell it was her mom at first, seeing her mom made her emotional and that lowered her defenses for a bit, but she's not gonna make the same mistake again.

After this, 7x12 with…MATT!

Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter.
