The sun shone brightly upon Lake Verity, causing many Starly to sing soaring through the sky. In the tall grass was an old man. He was wearing a brown lab coat over a blue and shirt with yellow buttons with a brown tie. He also had white hair and a white mustache. Along with brown shoes. His eyes seemed to be focused on the beautiful lake in front of him.

Th lake is said to be the home of a mysterious Pokemon. The old man glanced over to the side of him to see a young boy standing against a tree holding onto a brownish-orange briefcase. He had gray eyes and fair skin. He wore a red and white hat with a blue Pokeball symbol on it. He had black hair that stuck out from under his hat. He wears a white undershirt with a black vest over it, a red scarf, baggy jeans. Topping off the ensemble, he wore a pair of red and grey shoes.

The young boy glanced at the lake before he walked over towards the older man and spoke. "Professor Rowan, there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary here or the other side either," The young boy said.

"Hm... Then maybe the rumors aren't true after all," Professor Rowan said. "Lucas we're are leaving, "He said turning to his left to look at the young man next to him.

Lucas nodded and walked out of Lake Verity following the professor after checking to make sure he still had the briefcase safely in his hands.

" Professor wait for me!" Lucas shouted chasing after Professor Rowan still carrying the briefcase from earlier.

Professor Rowan looked back and spoke. "Come, Lucas stop moving so slow all the time," he replied before continuing to walk ahead.

Lucas sighed and decided to pick up the pace.

'He acts like the lab going somewhere, but guess I can't blame him. I believe that a new trainer is supposed to coming today to get her starter Pokemon.' Lucas thought picking up his speed even more.

Lucas finally caught up with the Professor when he saw him talking to a young girl. She has a fair complexion, blue eyes, and long navy blue hair. Her usual outfit is a mini dress consisting of a black V-neck tank top with a white shirt under it, a very short pink mini skirt, and a red scarf. On her head, she wears a white beanie with a pink Poké Ball print on it. She also wears gold hair clips that hold up her hair in front.

"You're looking lost," He heard the Professor said to the girl as he got closer to the two.

"Huh, are you talking to me, sir?" The girl asked.

"Right there nobody else here and you're looking very lost," Professor Rowan replied.

"Yeah, but I will be fine."

"Perhaps but you don't look fine right now."

"Yeah I guess so," she said looking down.

"You must be a new training since you got that postcard," He said. "Why don't come with me to my lab and get your starter pokemon?" He asked.

"Guess I can," she said.

"Professor Rowan, what's going on?" Lucas asked finally catching to him.

"Lucas great timing I'm just about to take this young girl back to my lab. So she can get her starter Pokemon," Professor Rowan said before turning around and starting to walk towards his lab.

"I see," Lucas said starting to follow after the Professor. "You coming after all don't you want your Pokemon right?" He asked looking back at the girl.

"Of course I do," She said grabbing her bike and follow after them.

Professor Rowan, Lucas, and the new girl trainer walked Into the lab to see that it was a mess.

"He back!" Four people wearing white lab coats exclaimed when they noticed the Professor walk in. Making Lucas roll his eyes at her behavior especially his father.

"Yes, this is my laboratory isn't it?" The professor said.

"Professor of course it is," The four people in lab coats said in sync.

"Oh, deal," the girl said looking at the mess.

"Sir I'm so sorry about this we had a slight problem with the Chimchar and the Piplup we had for the new trainer they ran into the forest," A guy with blue hair and blue eyes started. "On top of that while conducting my evolution research Starly and Staraptor got out as well," he continued as everyone walked over to the table with only a Turtwig on it.

"Fortunately we still have Turtwig." He finished making turtwig look at the group of people.

"Yes," Professor Rowan said looking at Turtwig, causing it to get scared.

"Sir I like to go look for them," The young girl suddenly said.

"You would?" Professor Rowan asked.

"Yes we're talking about Pokemon that could be my future partner," she said with a determined look on her face.

"Well if you going to look for them here a tip," Lucas started. "You need to crouch down so you can talk with them at eye level. that should calm them down."

"Lucas is correct," Professor Rowan said.

"Okay, I will do that."

"Good girl I wish you luck," Professor Rowan said. "Lucas grabs the cleaning supplies," He said looking over Lucas who was giving Turtwig more food.

"Thank you," The young girl said walking out of the lab.

"After you get the supplies help me fix the window son, " The hair man said.

"Sure thing father," Lucas replied walking away to get the supplies.

After a long few hours of fixing up the place. The Pokemon we're all finally back along with the new trainer known as Dawn who was here to get her starter Pokemon. She then told the group everything that had happened while searching for the Pokemon.

"Hm, there have been stories of a legendary mysterious Pokemon living in Lake Verity for a long time now," Professor Rowan said.

"That correct so that might of been what you saw. We were checking that out before running into you, but we didn't see anything," Lucas said.

"Wow, you think so? Awesome."

"You had quite a day. Perhaps not as expected, but your journey has begun. So now it time to give you pokedexes and your pokeballs as well," Professor Rowan said.

"Here you are," A guy with brown hair said heading a tray with pokeballs and a pink Pokedex on it.

"Wow."

"You see this Pokedex will provide you with information about the various Pokemon your sure to encounter," Professor Rowan said. "And these are your pokeballs. Very useful to carry your Pokemon around."

"Now it times for you to choose your Pokemon," he said walking over towards the table. "These are the three available to first-time trainers here in the Sinnoh region."

"The fire type Chimchar."

"Chimchar!"

"The water type Piplup."

"Piplup!"

"And the grass type Turtwig."

"Turtwig!"

"So do you know which one you like?"

"Yes, sir I do Piplup."

Chimchar face planted upset he wasn't picked.

"Go then here you need Piplup Pokeball," Professor Rowan said heading Dawn the Pokeball.

"Thank you," she said taking the Pokeball. "Piplup you and I have already been through an awful lot were already a team."

"Piplup!"

"Okay let's go," Dawn said returning Piplup.

Lucas and the other assistance were all outside of the lab now with Dawn.

"You know if you have chosen Chimchar we would have the same Pokemon," Lucas said. "Not that it matters there all great choices."

"I see so you have a Chimchar?" Dawn asked.

"Yeah, I do Dawn, Lucas said. "I'm going to be leaving for a journey of mine soon. So if run into each other don't be afraid to ask," He said getting ready to walk off. "Any I better get home it almost time for dinner. See you, father and Professor Rowan."

"Anyway, it was nice to meet you, Dawn," Lucas said as he walked towards his house.

"Same to you Lucas! See you later," Dawn said riding off on her bike.

"Good luck!" Everyone shouted.
