A/N: For those of you who have stuck with me and my stories. Thank you! I appreciate your patience and understanding. I do try to get these chapters out as fast as I possibly can but sometimes; work, motherhood, and only plain life get in the way. But I promise I'm nowhere near done with any of my stories, and I am working on them as fast as I possibly can. I also want to make sure these chapters aren't crap when I share them with you, and that it's something you will enjoy and that I'm proud of.
To those of you who want to call me names, and you know who you are. If you have a problem with how fast I'm writing MY story, find someone else's story to read or write your own. I'm doing this for nothing, I'm doing it because I'm a fan and have an idea I feel comfortable enough to share. I don't need your negativity, so if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.
Bella's POV
"I'm serious Bells, he straight out asked me if I was in love with you." Paul tries explaining to me, what Sam wanted to talk to him about last night. I couldn't believe Sam would think, that Paul was in love with me. We fought way too much like siblings, to ever have anything romantic happening. No, we were best friends, and that's exactly what we would continue to be. Paul was exactly the best friend I needed too, because the one I thought I had turned out to be an even bigger ass than Paul.
They saw how Jake had acted, just hearing about me being involved in the fight against the Red-headed bitch. Sam was standing next to Charlotte and Peter, trying to look menacing but the blush on his face was giving him away. His blush made them begin laughing along with us, while Sam blushed even harder. Emily walks out of house and sees us all laughing and Sam's blush. "Do I want to know?"
"Oh God, my abs hurt. Emily, did you know your fiancée asked Paul, if he was in love with me?" I breathed out, in between fits of laughter. Emily gasps in shock, and walks up to Sam. We start to curb our laughter, thinking she's going to comfort her fiancée.
What none of us expected, was Emily smacking Sam upside the head with a shovel. She also didn't hit him lightly; between the loud smack and Paul's laughter I can barely hear what Emily is saying. "How can you even ask that? They fight like brother and sister, and there is no kind of romantic chemistry between them at all. They are best friends, and if you ever try to ruin things between her and Jasper again. I will find something heavier, to hit you with."
"Woohoo, you tell him Em." Paul wolf whistled as she lays into him. She's right of course, Paul has never been able to see me, as anything more than a sister. Besides Jared I'm his best friend, I understand him better than anyone. I'm the only one besides the pack, to know what his home life used to be like. I know how hard it is to trust, after being abused and abandoned by someone you thought was supposed to love you.
Today Emmett and Rose are arriving, and the Doc and his wife would be here in a few days after they drop off dumb and dumber. None of the pack was all that excited about their being cold ones around, but with the newborn army coming we all knew we needed the numbers.
Paul was worried about how Carlisle will treat me once he finds out about me being a Jumper. He knows I would hate to be treated like a science experiment and has already offered to kick his ass if that were the case. I knew Jasper wouldn't stand for it either, but I think we all knew that Carlisle won't be able to help himself. I was finally happy, and he wasn't about to let anything destroy that. Sure, we all wanted to know more, about what it is I can do. But if we needed more help, we would have to call him and Esme. Than we would have to explain about Jumpers, and that I am one.
We don't have the manpower, but I'm hoping we can work something out without having to call them. The pack was still learning how to work as a cohesive unit, and thanks to Jasper and Peter they were getting better at it every day. Peter was looking forward to having Emmett here, in hopes that I will pick on Emmett and leave him alone for a little bit. Now there was another example of a brother and sister relationship, that Sam can learn from. I bust his balls, and I mean that literally and figuratively. Poor bastard never learns his lesson, or he does it because he knows it brings me joy. Personally, I think it's a little bit of because no matter how much Jasper wants to keep me happy. He would not let me continue to rip body parts off, even if they do reattach. From what I've seen, reattaching them is about as much fun as getting it ripped off.
We all sat back and watched as the almighty Alpha got himself chewed out by his imprint. Sam looked scared, which just made Paul and I laugh even harder. I was sitting on Jasper's lap, but because we were laughing so hard my head was on Paul's shoulder with his laying on top of it. Sam just glared at us once Emily was done laying into him. Soon enough we got control of our laughter and were catching our breath when Jasper's phone rang.
Paul stiffened knowing, that it had to be Emmett and Rose. Seeing as Peter and Charlotte were already here, and since Jasper and I were also here there was no other options. When he answered his phone, every wolf here looked like they were listening to the caller. Peter began walking towards the door, while Sam sent Embry and Quil to go with him. I couldn't wait for
rap offfd Rosalie McCarty Cullen are arriving, and the Dw we needed the numbers. Rose and Leah to train together, because Rose is kind of a bitch. More so than even Leah, and Rose was all too ready to show Leah who's the bigger bitch. Emmett was also ready to show Jacob, how much he doesn't approve of his behavior towards me.
Paul's POV
Time to see what these two new vamps can do; they were meeting us at the clearing for training. Than after we were coming back here, to get to really know them. I think the most surprising thing about all of this, was that the counsel was ok with it all. Old Quil being the biggest surprise of all, but apparently him and Bella had talked. Neither have said anything about what they had talked about, and it made us curious as hell. Even Jasper doesn't know what was said between the two, but he trusted Bella, so he left it alone. Peter told us not to worry, he would know if it would work against us. We weren't worried to begin with; we were just fucking curious. When I asked Bella about it, she said it would be revealed when the time was right. We were the first to arrive at the clearing, so Jared and I goofed off play fighting.
It's funny that Bella and I have become best friends, we never hung out in the same crowd even when we were little, and she came to hang out on the rez with her dad. I knew who she was, everyone did who had ears and a mouth. She was kind to everyone, until you gave her a reason not to be. Jake remembers him and Bella being the best of friends growing up, making mud pies together. But Bella made the mud pies with Jake's sisters, and when she got tired of him following her around like a puppy would just shove mud in his mouth.
Sure, when she needed a friend after fuckward he stepped up, but he always had alternative motive. He had hoped that by being there, that would mean Bella would finally see how in love he was with her and fall madly in love with him. The problem with that was, he could never be what she really needed in her life. Even before we found out about her being a jumper, she needed someone who wasn't going to make her hide and do what she was told. She needs an equal, who will stand by her through every trail and tribulation the world sent her way.
She's gotten a raw deal from life so far, but thankfully Jasper was here to make up for all the Bulls hit she's had to deal with. From what we've learned about him, he hasn't had the easiest life either. I mean he got changed back in the civil war, just to be used by some greedy bitch who thought she was better than everyone else. When Jasper was the one who made her that way, and once he learned there was a better way to live, he killed her and walked away. Sadly, only to be used by another psychotic bitch, who thought her visions where hers to play with everyone's lives to get what she wanted. As soon as this army was dealt with, she will be learning her lesson along with fuckward for wanting a compliant blood bag.
What I was worried about, in our immediate future. Were how these two vamps were going to react to Bella's secret, and if they went telling the vamp doc who I've heard several times since Bella's secret came out that he will most likely going all Frankenstein on her. Sure, we all want to know all we can about what Bella can do, but it won't because he decided he need to experiment on her. I would remove the docs hands if he even tried experimenting on her.
Rosalie POV
Emmett was bouncing on the balls of his feet, like a kid in a candy store. It would be irritating if I wasn't excited to see Bella as well. It was sunny earlier today, which was why we hadn't arrived until now. Just in time for their training session for the night, which was fine with us. I was ready to show the wolf Leah, what a real bitch looked like. Emmett couldn't wait to teach Jacob Black, a lesson about how to treat our sister. According to Bella and Jasper, those were the only wolves giving Bella any kind of trouble. We didn't take kindly to that, so we were all too happy to dish out well deserved punishment. Not long after we called Jasper, Peter and two wolves showed up at the border. Until the pack got to know us, they didn't want us just walking across the treaty line. We respected that, even though it hurt a little seeing they trusted two human eating vamps over us.
But they had more than a week, to get to know them. So, we couldn't be too hurt over it, at least we were being welcomed at all after leaving Bella like we had. Even though Bella had forgiven us, I knew we still had some making up to do. We also had to be thankful, to the wolf pack for watching out for Bella. The worst feeling about all of this, is that none of us thought about the danger we left Bella in. We wouldn't be leaving Forks again, until Victoria was dead. Peter finally made it to the treaty line, and quickly introduced us to the two wolves accompanying him. "Emmett and Rosalie, welcome back to Forks. This is Embry Call and Quil Aterea V, and yes, they are wolves if you didn't already know. Let's go ahead and make our way to the clearing. JJ and Jasper are waiting for us there, with the rest of the pack."
"Who's JJ?" My darling husband asks, forgetting that Bella had told us that Peter had started calling her JJ Whitlock. According to him, she's like a female version of Jesse James. I guess if she rode a motorcycle and gathered almost every supernatural being to her. They would be very much alike, but I didn't see that happening. The wolf named Embry is the one, to answer my husband's question. Telling us the exact thing I had just been thinking. He seemed to think, it was hilarious though. He asked Emmett if it was true that he taught Bella how to play video games. "Hell yeah, it's all I could do to give her space from Fucktard. She got rather good too, before we were forced to leave. Bells and I were planning a Championship Battle. I even got a Championship Belt made, after Icky Vicky is taken care of, I think we will have it out to see who is better."
"She is constantly kicking my ass in Call of Duty and Halo; she kicks Em's ass in any fighting game too. Paul has gotten her into racing games, and she's getting fairly good at that now too. Man, I can't wait to play you in a few games, to see how well I fair against you." Quil the other wolf, said in excitement to Emmett. That's one of the things I love about Bella, she has no problem acting like one of the guys. Yet, she can be a little bit girly when the time calls for it. I may love being girly more than she does, but I love getting dirty with working on cars.
While Emmett was making plans with the two wolves, to play video games together, I noticed Bella across the field we had just walked into. She was dressed in black skinny jeans and a blue and black plaid shirt; she had a black tank top underneath and black combat boots covering her feet. She looked ready to kick ass, but I know it was probably just to keep her warm. She catches sight of us and begins running towards us. She doesn't lose her balance once, and I know it's because she's confident in herself once again. Emmett is the first one to reach her and has her in a bear hug that is special just for her. I can't help the smile on my face, and how happy my husband is. I hug her next, and finally speak since Peter met up with us. "It's good to see you again, little sister. Jasper better have been taken care of you, or I will kick his ass."
"Besides the little bit of trouble back at Char and Pete's place, nothing else has happened. No need to worry so much about me, I can handle myself. Besides, I got you and Char, and a pack of wolves that would kick his ass if I needed." She replied with amused chuckle, and she wasn't wrong in the least. She has us all wrapped around her little fingers, and damn if we didn't enjoy it on some level. She easily becomes like family to you, and you're lucky if she feels the same towards you. Quickly, she introduces us to the Alpha and the others of the pack. "Emmett and Rose, this is Sam Uley our Alpha, his Beta Jacob Black. Over here we have one of my besties Paul, and his bestie since like birth Jared. Than you have my little brother Seth, and his bitch of a sister Leah. Now there are things we must tell you before we begin training."
"Ok, were all ears. Whatever you have to say, won't change anything" I try to be reassuring, because she looks profoundly serious. Instead of the happy and easy-going Bella, she was just a few second ago. Jasper comes up behind her and hugs her close to him. Her back is pulled up against the front of him, while several pack members get a little closer to her. Even Peter and his mate Char, move closer like they are all her support system for this.
Jasper made us both promises, to keep this to ourselves. They didn't want any kind of information getting out, about what they are about to tell us. In a blink of an eye, Bella was in front of us while still in Jasper's arms, and the next they were both up in a tree a hundred yards away. I tried to rationalize that Jasper had gotten faster, but I knew that wasn't possible because they were standing in the same spot, and I didn't blink. In another second, they were back to where they were, and before either of us could question what just happened. Bella stepped away from Jasper and grabbed both mine and Emmett's hands. We were inside our Forks home, everything still covered in the sheets like we left it. My whole body felt like Jell-O, and I couldn't remember the last time I had felt like that. Emmett let out a scream, as we were back in the field where we started.
Bella was quickly back in Jasper's arms, as they all waited for us to catch our bearings again. One of us must have made questioning sounds, because Bella beings to explain to us what just happened. "This isn't some new ability I have obtained; I have always been able to do this. I need you to understand that I didn't tell the family before, because there aren't that many more like me around. I have a brother David, who is in hiding with his fiancée Millie. There is a secret extremist society called Paladin's, in search of my kind to kill us. Renee isn't my mother like I had Edward think, my mom was killed before I came to live with my dad Charlie. Charlie has no idea that I'm a Jumper, and for his safety I would like to keep it that way."
"We learned that Bella's best defense against cold ones, is her ability to jump anywhere. When Laurent attacked, she was able to take off his arm. She grabbed onto it and jumped all the way to Paris. Peter has been training with her, to work on just taking a limb and jumping closer to this field versus Paris. I don't think David would appreciate all the body parts, and no reason to make Millie clean it up." Jasper jokes at the end of explanation to what Bella can do, and if Emmett and I weren't in shock I think we might laugh a little at that. I had so many questions, but I would wait until later to ask them. The pack looked ready to practice fighting, and I really couldn't wait to beat the shit out of Leah for a little while at least. I also wanted to see, what she could do to a vampire.
Bella's POV
I sat back and watched as Rosalie fought Leah, of course Leah is getting her ass kicked. She's no match for Rose, Rose has had years to learn to fight and she was Jasper's sister. Jasper makes sure everyone he cares about, knows how to protect themselves. I found it funny that Alice always refused to learn from Jasper, but it gave us an advantage if her and Edward ever decided to start a fight with any of us. As Rose pretended to kill the she-wolf, Emmett was finishing his match with Jacob as well. For someone so big and playful, he is a good fighter. He has been taunting Jacob all night, which pissed off the wolf even more than he already was. They all walked away from each other, and they all stand back leaving the field open for me and Peter. I was only going to demonstrate a couple of times before we all head back to Sam's for food and some relaxing.
I knew Emmett and Rose were going to have questions, there was no way they wouldn't. I stay seated as Peter moves to the center of the field; we had come up with a plan while the others were training. This is something we've only tried one other time, and it took some energy. Closing my eyes in concentration for just a second, as soon as I open my eyes, I'm standing behind Peter grasping his arm. Before he can fully turn around to swing at me, I'm behind Jasper with Peter's fidgeting arm in my hands. You can hear Peter's hissing from across the field, I hand Charlotte his arm and she's already reattaching it. Every single one of the pack shivers, at the thought of his arm being reattached. Jasper and Peter had explained to them, that every part of them can be reattached and work just like before with no problems.
Instead of going after the same arm, I had just torn off I go for his hand on the opposite arm. Again, handing it the Charlotte, but this time instead of being behind Jasper. I'm behind Sam, this is easier than how we normally train. It's also the easiest way to show Emmett and Rose what I can do. After I get a day's rest, they will see how I really train. But the one thing Jasper and the pack agreed with, was that I was to always jump behind a wolf or vampire I can trust. I had talked to Jasper last night, that it might be better if I jumped to Brady and Colin who would be protecting the imprints. They would be more stationary, and away from the fight. They could already have a fire going, and either myself or one of the wolves can place the body part in the fire right away. He thought it was a good idea, as did Char and Peter. We just needed to run it by the pack and see what they thought.
"Damn Bells, I'm surprised Pete doesn't attack you for any of that." Emmett says after our demonstration is over, and Peter is being taken care of by Charlotte. I can see why he would say that, because in any other circumstance a vampire would retaliate. I was lucky enough that the first time I used my ability on Peter, I had stuck him in a tree. So, he had enough time to calm down before I got him out of the tree. Peter's first extinct is to attack me, but he holds that back in these sessions because he knows it's me.
"The best thing about me jumping away from them, besides tearing an appendage off, is that my scent disappears. So, until I resurface, you can't tell where I am. So even though a vampire's first thought is to attack, they don't know where I am to exact revenge." I quickly tell them, everything we've learned about my only effective way of fighting against a vampire. I know it's a lot for them to take in, but I was getting tired and could use some food. Right as I thought that my stomach let's out a growl. It breaks any tension around me and making everyone laugh. We all decide to head towards Sam's, and before we can head out.
Paul phases into his wolf and lays down on the ground. I immediately knew he was offering me a ride, and I look at Jasper for an answer to what Paul wanted. Without saying anything, Jasper picks me up and places me onto Paul's back. This is new, I had never ridden wolf back before, and soon enough he was on all fours. I lay down on his back and wrap my arms as well as I can around his neck. Damn, he's warm and incredibly soft. I must have dosed off, because before I know it Jasper is caring me inside the house. Everyone is already inside, and not long after Paul walks in with his cut-offs on. "You know B, usually when women ride me. They don't fall asleep, until the rides over."
"What can I say, you aren't as exciting as you seem to think you are." At my response Emmett bursts out laughing, while Paul playfully growls at me. I'm just smirking, before walking past everyone to use the bathroom. By the time I get back, Jasper already has a plate of food waiting for me. I sit in his lap and dig into my food. After I've eaten about half of my food, I take a drink before turning to my brother and sister. "Alright, go ahead and ask your questions."
"You said your mother was murdered; how do you know that?" Rose asks before Emmett could even get a sound out, and I sighed hoping that wouldn't be the first question. It isn't that I didn't think they would ask about it, I just hoped it wasn't the first question they would ask. I had always planned on telling them, but it wasn't an easy thing to do.
Jasper kisses my neck, to comfort me without effecting my emotions. Paul who knew how I was feeling, grabbed my hand and squeezed it in reassurance. He knew how I was feeling; his own mother was murdered. The only difference was his mother was murdered by his asshole of a father. "My mother was married before Charlie, whom she had David with. See my mother was a Paladin, until she realized what David was. Once we learned I could jump, mom moved us to Phoenix. We were safe for a couple of years, until I came home from school to find her stabbed in her office."
"They tried recruiting her, but she said she didn't know what they were talking about. They wanted to use her, to find David and kill him. She was never going to turn him in, thankfully they never knew she's a jumper herself. Otherwise, they might have tried to kill her right then. A week after her mother's funeral, she moved in with Charlie and met us." Jasper finished the story for me, knowing how hard that part of the story was for me. Emmett and Rose both growled, at learning how insensitive the Paladin's were. Emmett promised if he ever found one of them, he would torture them before killing them.
Rose promised the same, but of course she wanted to interrogate them first. Find their home base, so she could get rid of them all not just one. My heart swelled with love, at their show of protectiveness over me. "I can't promise they won't find me, especially since I've been jumping more and more lately. They usually track us, by a residual wave formed by jumping. They use a machine they created, to help them jump to where we are. I have precautions in place in case they do catch me."
"Well, you can add us to that, and we will help in any way we can." Rose was the first to answer, and I was happy to see Emmett agreed full heartedly. I needed them to agree, to not tell Carlisle and Esme until necessary. We didn't have time, for Carlisle to turn me into a science experiment. Of course, before I can ask them of this, Emmett's phone begins to ring. "Hello?"
"Emmett thank goodness, Alice and Edward have escaped from the Denali's." Came Esme's frantic voice, like she couldn't believe she let any of this happen. Well, there goes my plan of not letting Carlisle know, because this means Alice and Edward were most likely going to help Victoria. I just can't catch a break when they are concerned it seems. They are set on making my life difficult.
After a quick look around the room, I knew they all agreed with Carlisle and Esme coming back to Forks. We would talk about them, being welcomed on to La Push later. Along with if Carlisle, should be present for my training sessions. "Mom, you and dad start making you way to the old house. If I'm right, they will be teaming up with Victoria to get to me. We will be needing all the help we can get and having you here will be a great help if we have injuries that need tending too."
Esme hung up after agreeing, no need for pleasant goodbyes. We didn't have time for it, this pushed up our time frame. I'm sure of it, and to prove my point Peter started cursing under his breath. Some of the wolves were shaking, and Sam began ordering them out of the house. Whatever Peter was muttering, had upset them all. Once everyone was somewhat settled, we sat down and talked about the things we needed too. Sam was the first one to speak, and he was mostly talking to Emmett and Rose. "Look we understand were going to need Carlisle and Esme's help, but what we won't need is the doctor poking and prodding the shit out of Bella like she's a new science experiment. We see no reason for him to know about it, until absolutely necessary."
"He's against fighting, so we might be able to hide this from him. As much as I would like to say he wouldn't treat Bella like that, it would be a lie. It's something new and exciting, he wouldn't be able to help himself and this isn't the time for that. We won't be the ones to tell him about it, but what about Esme?" Thankfully, Emmett agreed with Rosalie, because this wasn't something, I wanted us to get into a fight about. I knew they would be able to see it from our point of view, but it didn't stop me from worrying about it. Esme loves her children, and she's super protective about them. At the same time though, she loved her husband and his need for knowledge.
I want to believe she would be able to keep my secret, but I think it really comes down to is she willing to put my happiness before her mates? I could see Emmett and Rosalie fighting with themselves mentally, about what Esme would do herself. When I watched their shoulder sag, I knew we wouldn't be telling Esme either. "It's hard to say this, but it will probably be best to keep quiet about this from her as well. I would love to say she'd keep quiet, but it's hard to keep secrets from your mate. Even if you are trying to protect someone else, you care about."
"Alright, we will keep my training away from them both. If they happen to find out about it by accident, we will deal with it than. We can keep Esme with Carlisle back at the house, which will be the makeshift hospital. There is only one more thing I would like to talk about. And that is my jumping points once I've detached parts off vampires. I was talking to Jasper about it, and the safest place for me to jump is to Brady and Colin. They will be stationary watching over the imprints, which will make it easier for me to concentrate and a certain spot to dispose of any parts. They can have a fire going, and I can toss it in, or they can, so I can just jump right back into the fight." I watched as they all thought this over and they all agreed it was the safer thing for me to do. Instead of constantly keeping track of all of them, so I knew where to jump. They would make a large enough fire pit, so the fire would burn long enough. Making it where all the boys would have to do is make sure to keep adding wood to keep it going.
Slowly everyone started calming down now that we had a real plan in place. Our time frame was now fucked, but we were prepared none the less. We still had about a week of training, according to what Peter's knower is telling him. Carlisle and Esme would be arriving tomorrow night, due to it being sunny during the day. Now it was time, for all of us to relax and the pack to get to know Emmett and Rose. Colin must have been thinking the exact same thing as me, because asks if we're going to start with our normal nightly ritual. "Is it time to start fire in the pit? It's become our tradition, and I look forward to it."
"Sure, buddy why don't you and Brady go get the fire started. We'll be right behind you, after we get all the beverages. Paul, why don't you grab the blankets for us humans. Someone needs to grab another log, for Emmett and Rosalie, so they have somewhere to sit." Emily takes charge, also wanting to keep our nightly ritual alive. Especially for the twins, who didn't have anything like this back home with their grandmother. Paul was gone and back with blankets before Emily was even done giving instructions. He piled Jasper up with 3 blankets, while picking me up off Jasper's lap and running outside. "Paul, stop running off with Jasper's mate like she's a toy you get to play with!"
"They are always trying to ruin my fun, what's wrong with keeping you away from Jasper. It's fun to antagonize him, especially when he knows I'm just joking around." Paul grumbles as he slows down, sitting me down on the log Jasper and I usually share. Just as Peter is coming back with a log, for Emmett and Rose. Jasper saunters out of the house and pushes Paul away from me with a smirk. They were going to start play fighting, just to get a rise out of Sam. Maybe even Jacob and Leah, seeing as they like to find reasons to open, they're big fat mouths to be a pain in all of our asses. Before they could start anything though, Embry pushes Paul down onto one side of the log they are sharing. "Since everyone seems to be ruining my fun, you got anything new Bells?"
"You know, one of these days I won't have a new song. What will you do then?" I jest, because as Jasper knows I'm always writing a song. He didn't know what they all were about, but he knew I was writing. We even have a few that we've written together, we were just waiting for the right moment to share them. Paul jokes that, he would just get Jasper to inspire me to come up with one on the fly. Everyone starts pitching ideas, of what it would sound like. Those who weren't providing hilarious ideas, started laughing at how ridiculous some of them were. Peter hands me my guitar, and I begin tuning it for the song I wanted to sing. Once I had it exactly right, I began to play the first few strings of the song. And everyone was quick to shut up and get comfortable.
