Jamaica..hmmm. Apparently Jamaicans are the fastest runners in the world, and partly because many of them are descendants of African people who escaped slavery. And it has a bobsled team, which explains the bobsledding course. I've never been there, but once in school, we had to paint a picture which represented a country, and I chose Jamaica (I was twelve and I'd just read a book called "Making Waves" which took place in seventeenth-century Jamaica).

Thanks for reviewing, Ellismskd24, (probably wondered why you were telling a girl with a bf), lordgemini, OmniPotentUIJudgeOfCharacter (I like it) and AnonBrowser.

My hopes of exposing all my favourite Chris titbits to Sierra actually had a double benefit. I got to trash my cousin the way he'd trashed me, and Cody was able to be free from Sierra molesting him. She was so interested in the first time Chris babysat, how long it took for him to stop sucking his thumb, and that his mom (my aunt) still called him "Sippy Cup" affectionately. He still sometimes sneaked off camera to call her, and I was sure to tell her that, too. Apparently she was always sending him cute pics, which I also "let slip".

I didn't need to tell her about his band Fametown, though. She stopped me and said "I know all about that already. I've even put it on one of my fansites. That's why he's not singing, even though we have to – Fametown put a gag order on him so he's not allowed to sing on camera."

"At least I can sing if I want to," I replied, smiling. "And I can exploit it. I guess there's one thing I can do as host that Chrissy can't."

Something started happening later. I wasn't sure of the time, but it was very bright outside as it happened, and very clear, too – hardly any clouds.

Chris' voice came through the intercom. "Attention, contestants and co-host…" Then he just started screaming, and as he did, my stomach dropped.

Not because of the screaming, but because the plane was going into a nosedive.

"Brace position!" I shrieked, trying to keep myself curled stiff between two of the chairs.

It was amazing no one was badly hurt. Really, no one was. The plane had run out of gas (apparently my dearest cousin had overspent on his private area and we didn't have any money left – even the emergency fund was used up on gas.

We'd landed in Jamaica, so we weren't actually far from where we were supposed to land – somewhere between North and South America mainland. And Chris said everyone would just have to do the challenges here, while we waited to raise money to continue.

Then he turned to me. "Toni, get the studio on my phone," he ordered, thrusting his phone at me. "It's on speed dial. We need a donation, and the next Aftermath show is coming, so ask the studio to set up a Telethon. We need about five hundred thousand. Geoff's hosting again, so ask for him, and he can get it sorted with the producers."

"Yes, O Master." I muttered sarcastically. So while the teams completed the first challenge (something about getting gold chains out of shark and electric-eel infested waters (Gwen got them, but got attacked by the eels and had to go to an infirmary to recover while Alejandro tried to steal them, but Heather stole them back so Team Amazon still won), I was on the phone, being put on hold about a thousand times until I finally was able to talk to Geoff. He assured me he'd get everything set up and have the peanut gallery manning the phone lines.

"And, while I'm here," he added, "I think you might want to know that we've been getting all the footage." His voice was softer, and I heard a note of hurt in it.

I guessed exactly what he was talking about – what happened in the Yukon. "Well, whatever goes on, it won't happen again." I said gently. "I'm not getting in the middle of this – you're the one that has to decide what to do."

I heard Geoff sigh. "That's going to have to wait until after the season, I guess. Unless we end up having to co-host again. Anyway, I'll be sure to make the Telethon a success."

While the teams were taking a break, I whispered this to Bridgette. "So it'll have to wait until you're eliminated."

Bridgette looked extremely disappointed. "I knew that he'd say that," she murmured, "But I was really, really hoping it wouldn't be that way. If he's going to dump me, I'd rather know it before I have to face him again."

"I don't think he's decided yet." I said gently. "He's hurt and I'm sure he's cross, but I think there might be a chance he'll take you back. After all, I saw the last season. Once he apologized for that Captain Hollywood phase or whatever you called it, you took him back."

"But he never actually cheated." Bridgette pointed out, her voice still very quiet.

As she spoke, I looked over at Team Chris. That's how I caught Alejandro sneaking a glance at Team Amazon. No, not all of them…just Heather. I couldn't help wondering what that was about.

I looked back at Bridgette. "You know Geoff better than I do. I'm sure you'd know more about what to do than any advice I could give."

Bridgette heaved a sigh, but her voice grew stronger. "I'll just have to be straight." she admitted. "Don't think I haven't noticed that he's been playing everyone, not just me. I knew what he was up to after all that drama with Leshawna. I've told my teammates not to listen to him, but I haven't had the chance to tell anyone else."

That was true – they or Team Amazon had been up in First Class since Germany, and she couldn't say a word to the rest of Team Chris unless Alejandro was in the confessional, and who knew how long she had when he was. There was no point in me trying to lie to myself all season. It's just, again, I didn't know if Alejandro was trying to play me. He couldn't get me eliminated, and I wouldn't get him any closer to the million dollars.

"I think it's just a major focus on winning." I admitted in a low voice. "I'm not allowed to tell you anything I've heard in confessionals, but I can say that you're probably right. I already got dangerously close to being too impartial by helping you back in the Yukon, so I can't really save anyone else. But I feel like there's no harm in me trying to find out what he's really like, because I know it won't be strategy with me."

Bridgette looked uneasy, but there was no time left to say anything, because Chris was calling. "Toni, quit fraternizing with the contestants – we're on schedule! Bridgette, back with your team, please."

The interns had been setting up a bobsledding course as we had been talking, and it was time for everyone to compete to win it again. Team Amazon got helmets for winning the first challenge. Since we didn't have bobsleds, the teams would take longboards, two on each. The teams would each go three times, and everyone had to go at least once. The shortest combined time would win.

What's there to say? Since Gwen was in the infirmary, there were only three members of Team Amazon, and Team Victory already had just three people. They both chose to have every combination they could. Okay, on the second round where Heather and Cody teamed up, Sierra looked a little jealous, but she clearly didn't see anything that made her suspicious. Team Chris split into two couples and Alejandro and Tyler went twice.

So the winners? Well, Team Amazon started off doing really well – that was Sierra and Cody. Tyler and Alejandro didn't do so well, and DJ and Bridgette were just a little better than Team Amazon. Heather and Cody didn't do as well and they really needed the helmets the second time, and Noah and Owen did all right, but were slowed down by Owen getting stuck in the tunnels. Team Victory's two blondes, however, actually beat their earlier time just by a little.

Something went wrong during the third round. Heather and Sierra didn't do too well, and somehow, Alejandro and Tyler's faster time made for a faster time overall. It was all up to DJ and Lindsay, and – I didn't see what happened until reviewing the footage. Halfway through the round, they suddenly went flying off the course completely, and their run was deemed "incomplete", so they'd have to send someone home.

I reviewed the footage before the elimination ceremony (which would take place with the plane on the ground) and saw what had actually happened. I then cornered Chris. "The bobsled course was broken!" I hissed. "Don't you think Team Victory deserved another chance? No one else had to deal with the broken course – I saw Alejandro break one of the boards on purpose!"

Chris shrugged. "We didn't say he couldn't do that. It's not my problem. I don't tell you what to call out. And you know what'll happen if you tell anyone else."

I rolled my eyes. I was never planning to tell anyone what the footage had shown me – at least, not the contestants, and definitely not while the season was still in progress. But I really had seen what happened. Alejandro had punched one of the boards after they passed it so it would flip the next longboard into the air. Not only that, but he'd convinced Tyler to pull his headband over his eyes, so he didn't see it happen. No one had even noticed until DJ and Lindsay were on the broken board.

During the elimination ceremony, I went to the infirmary to check on Gwen. "How are you doing?" I asked.

"A little better." Gwen admitted. "I'm still getting electric shocks, but there's longer pauses between them, so I think they'll stop soon. But I still feel really weak, and I keep imagining I'm seeing eels. I think I'll be okay by tomorrow." She sounded more like she was being brave than actually doing better.

"Well, even if you're not, we've got about a week here until we can get more gas and get back in the air." I told her. "I've already spoken to Chrissy and he says we can go on the beach and into the town between certain hours. We're on Montego Bay, which is supposed to have really good shopping and food." I smiled. "So no rush, but trust me, it'll be fun once you're out of here."

When I returned, only Bridgette and DJ were sitting in Loser Class opposite Team Chris. They looked guilty and forlorn, but, well…they'd had to do something. I guessed what had happened. DJ and Bridgette were alike in their dislike of cruelty and animal love, and were ultimately closer to each other than they were Lindsay, so they felt they had to team up when it came down to the wire.

And just like that, I'd never gotten to say goodbye to another friend.

I feel like Bridgette and DJ would choose to stick together before going against each other and letting Lindsay be the swing vote. They have a lot in common and have more history than either of them have with Lindsay, since they've never been on a team with her before, but they have been teamed up before. I have looked up Montego Bay, and there is a lot to do there. And don't worry, I checked that's where they are.

While I'm here, I have a request. Would anyone be interested in doing a title card for this story? It doesn't need to be much, just a picture of Toni. If you want more of a challenge, I'd put her with Chris, but really, I'd just like to put a pic of Toni as the title card of both stories. She'd be quite easy to draw as she's like a younger, curvier version of Chris with long wavy hair. It could be just a headshot, but as a reminder for full-length, her clothes are a black T-shirt with "PEOPLE ARE STRANGE" in white and black jeans with black Converse sneakers.

And one more thing – I was thinking about Toni hosting Revenge of the Island on her own. The plan, though, involves her falling for a contestant. For it to work, I have to get rid of a Mutant Maggot ahead of schedule, in Episode 3. Is there a way I can do this without just deleting Scott's OG action? Please let me know if you have any ideas, or anything else you think I could do to make the season work with Toni hosting.
