Epilogue time woohoo

The door to the front of the house closed and rain quickly fell onto Yang and Blake.

The wetness was unpleasant, along with the wind.

But to get out of that house it was worth it.

The blonde began walking ahead, and Blake was quick behind. Their clothes already were beginning to soak with the rain falling onto them.

"Are we taking a car to JNPR's?" Blake asked her. Yang shook her head.

The steps of Blake stopped. Yang turned around, confused.

"Yang…" Blake said, "What's wrong?" Worry hung in their voice.

"What's wrong? What's wrong!?" Yang said, her face scowled, "Blake I… I couldn't stand being there!"

"But it's… It's your family?" Blake replied back, clearly confused.

"Need I remind you the woman in there… That's…" The sentence was hard to swallow, "The woman in there currently having a child is the same one who birthed me. The same one who left me and my Dad? Alone?"

"Oh…" Blake sighed. Understanding appeared in her eyes. Yang's own eyes slanted.

"I… Blake, I'm sorry," Yang's voice took an angry turn, "I'm sorry I'm upset over this! I'm sorry that I'm upset that someone who abandoned me is allowed to be happy and have a sweet new family!"

"Yang… We should really walk further away from the house," They glanced back. The two hadn't made it far at all. standing by the mailbox.

Yang peeked back and noticed Ruby peeking through the blinds.

Oh great.

The brunette disappeared in a flash, though, and she was unable to gesture anything to her.

"Fine," She stomped ahead, the wet ground sloshing beneath her boots. Blake raced to keep up behind her.

"Well, they obviously won't kick her out," Blake began.

"Obviously, Dad has proven he's pretty forgiving recently," Yang rolled her eyes. The entire demeanor of Tai-Yang had baffled Yang lately. It seemed out of character. Out of…

"Well, what would you do in his shoes?" The cat faunus asked her.

"…"

"I don't know, Blake, that's not important!" Yang shouted.

"I understand you're upset at her and you have every right to be, but please don't get mad at your Dad for this! He's in a rough situation, don't you think he probably feels similar to you!?" They pointed out. Yang stopped in her tracks again and whipped around to Blake.

"I really doubt it," Blake's timid face was an indicator Yang's eyes were red now.

"Y-Yang… Please… What is wrong? I'm trying to help you, as your partner and girlfriend. Please don't let this be what drifts us apart," Blake calmly asked now. She put her hand on Yang's shoulder. The rain continued to fall on the two of them. Yang's blonde hair was visibly soaked, and so was Blake's. Within moments rain wasn't the only thing running down Yang's face.

She cried, letting all the built up anger over the past months out. Blake hugged her, rubbing her back.

Unfortunately she couldn't feel warm in these conditions.

It was just cold.

"B-Blake I…" She was terrified of asking the question she had been plagued with since she found out about Raven's pregnancy.

The blonde took a deep breath before crying out.

"What did I do wrong to make her leave me?!"

Wow it's really over

This took 1 year, 1 month, and 24 days to finish.

Man.

Anyways, I'm very thankful for everyone who stuck around! I'm glad for the feedback, and the compliments of improvement were very motivating!

Of course, this epilogue sets up something. Another story.

What May Drift us Apart is a disaster of a fic when I reread it, its the one I really enjoy making fun of because Yang is horribly portrayed in it to the point it's mentally frustrating to read.

So, that's my next task.

Alas, I've set the plot up to something different, but the conclusion will be the same.

Stay tuned, don't ask when I'll be posting it cuz the answer is I don't know, before 2021 is over is all I can say definitely.
