Something I got from rewatching one episode of Supernatural on TV. And for the sake of the story, Tara is alive, since who cares about Kennedy and I wanted to try a little the parental dynamic here.
Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy: The Vampire Slayer or Supernatural.
Dean and Sam had called Willow and Tara for help with a case involving magic, while the girls decided to drop Dawn off in the bunker, when coincidentally, Jody had dropped Claire and Alex off for visit.
"OK, we're heading out to Oregon, a friend needs help with some magic, so… TV's here. A lot of popcorn, chips, you got the cash, don't buy some stupid stuff, BTW, pizza or chicken wings are fine, so… anything you need?" Sam asked.
"We're good." Claire assured.
"We'll be fine." Alex assured.
"Dawnie, are you sure you'll be fine here with Alex and Claire?" Tara asked.
"Yeah." Dawn said.
"OK, girls, have some fun." Willow said as she, Tara, Dean and Sam left.
After being a bit bored from binging TV, Dawn turned to Alex and Claire. "Hey, don't you want to see what magic stuff Sam and Dean got here?"
"Are you sure you wanna mess with the stuff here? What if we summon a ghost?" Claire asked.
"Come on, it's not like I'm gonna open a book of dark magic. We're not gonna open anything dangerous." Dawn assured and after few moments, both girls shrugged.
They looked around the library, garage, armory, messing around with some things and playing and luckily, not getting themselves injured and then they found an artifact which was strangely shaped key in a box in Dean's bedroom.
"What does this unlock?" Dawn asked.
"I don't know." Alex shrugged.
"See if you can put it in one of the rooms." Claire suggested.
Dawn approached one of the doors, which was supposedly a storage room in the bunker and surprisingly, it worked but when the door opened, it revealed a land like from fairy tales, with beautiful woods, villages and suddenly, the girls were sucked in and the door behind them closed.
Few hours later
The door opened again and the girls yelped as they fell down with large bags that spilled golden coins on the floor, with the door to Oz closing and Dawn dropping the key to Oz and their clothes were a bit ripped, trashed and dirtied and their hair roughened up.
"Wow. Let's not go there ever again." Claire said.
"Yeah." Dawn nodded. "We've got gold but it's not worth it."
They heard the door open as they all paled.
"We're home!" Dean said.
"Anything interesting happened?" Willow asked before they noticed the girls looking a bit roughened up and dirtied, with bags of gold. "Oh, my God, are you OK?"
"What the hell happened here?" Dean wondered.
"Where did you get that much gold?" Tara asked.
"Hold on." Sam said as he and Dean recognized the glow on the door, while Sam picked the artifact from the floor.
"Isn't that the key to—" Dean yelped as flying monkeys burst out from the door.
"Oz!" Sam snapped.
"What about him?" Willow demanded, while they were all taking cover under the table, wondering why was Sam mentioning her ex-boyfriend, while the monkeys were trashing the room.
"Not your ex, the Land of Oz! You opened the door to the Land of Oz! Goddamnit!" Dean snapped as he pulled out his gun and fired, scaring the monkeys.
Willow and Tara shouted an incantation as a gust of wind blew the monkeys to the door before Sam closed it and grabbed the key, locking the door and then opened them to reveal a storage room again.
"OK, we gotta establish one more rule in the bunker." Dean said with a sigh. "Without our permission you are not gonna touch any relics or artifacts in this place, ever again."
"Yeah… that's probably for the best." Dawn said, discreetly putting back an amulet onto a shelf, deciding to get some help with her kleptomania, while she, Alex and Claire had the decency to look sheepish.
Ha, never mess with supernatural things in the bunker of the Men of Letters, when you don't know what it does, I can see Dawn, Alex and Claire doing this.
Please review and let me know if you have enjoyed this one-shot.
