Finally updating this, honestly it feels like it's been an age since I wrote for any of my Twilight fics and I want to get back into updating them more regularly. I honestly need to try work out a proper updating schedule so you're all not left hanging so long in the unknown.
Anyways this chapter gives you a little insight into the danger Bella faces, I had initially wanted to make this a nicer on the Cullen's fic but yet again my mind has taken it a complete different way. So for any hoping that this fic is going to be reflecting the Cullen Coven particularly Edward and Carlisle in a positive light then I am truly sorry, its not going to happen. Truthfully I think I have to much of a dislike for the two as characters to write about them positively without great difficulty.
All my love

One could say that the current tension out on the baseball field could be cut with a knife, so fraught and strung where the emotions around them, not that Victoria took much notice. She had eyes solely for the frightened brunette that clung desperately to the dark haired boy that stood in front of her slightly. One would even say protectively if Victoria couldn't see the glimmering anger and possessiveness glinting in his obsidian eyes.
He seamed to be studying her just as intensely as she was him, his eyes narrowed at her as if he meant to read her very soul. If she were a younger vampire more easily intimidating she would have felt exposed under his gaze, as it was she found it irritating. His eyes on her only serving to anger her.
Her mates fear was palpable driving her beast within mad with anger, her own possessive instincts warring with the deep concern and longing she felt at her mates current state. Her mate should recognise her.
Her mate should know Victoria, should be fighting to get across the field to her. Not clinging to this child as if he were her life line.
Isabella isn't his, she is Victoria's. Hers. Not this boys and how dare he pretend otherwise.
How dare he act as if Victoria is a threat to her human. How dare he keep her away. Her vision spun red, unable to focus on the conversation around them. She could only see her mate.
Her Isabella.
She needed to think, needed her beast to quiet so she could focus and it took everything she had to reign in her want to storm straight ahead and rip this coven apart to get to what is hers.
She shook her head, refocusing, forcing herself to take in the rest of the coven that surrounded her mate. The blonde man at the front of the v like formation was clearly their leader, his eyes still remained calm looking, friendly even. Though they had darkened slightly and Victoria knew it wouldn't take much to push him into losing control.
Beside him, his mate clung to him, long mahogany hair tied back in a ponytail. She looked a lot older than the other two females in the coven, a little pixy looking dark haired girl around 18 and a tall blonde around the same age. Each of them clinging to their own mates. The blonde was with a brunette boy that could pass as a body builder. The little pixy clung to a shaggy blonde with scars rivalling Victoria's own. A testament to his age and experience fighting. If she had to guess she'd assume he was the eldest in the coven. In vampire years that is.
His presence screamed danger but Victoria knew better, she could see it was all a show, a pretence. She easily outages all of these vampires. James and Laurent even more so. They could take them on easily, but not head on, her gift of evasion letting her know that it would be a struggle to over power all seven of them to get to the girl.
"NEVER!!!" The child of a boy hissed at her, snapping her back to the present and away from her analysis. Victoria growled, taking a threatening step forward in her anger. Only stopping her advance when she saw her little babe flinch away at her approach, her girls heart beat picking up in fear.
"I will have her!!" Victoria growled in response, unable to shake her anger at his audacity. How the boy knew what she was thinking she didn't know but she did know it would be a problem.
"Bella is my mate, you will not harm her!!" The boy growled making Victoria hiss in fury, hissing even more when James grabbed her arm, holding her back from attacking the boy right there and then. It was one thing to think that the boy had claimed her mate but to hear him make such a claim verbally had her beast rattling it's cage, her vision flashing as all she saw was red.
"She is mine" Victoria roared, desperately trying to shake James' arm as her patience with this whole situation ran out. She saw the vampires in front of her close ranks, surrounding her human. Cutting off her view of her mate.
"Go Edward, get her out of here" the leader barked and Victoria couldn't do anything but hiss and struggle as her coven mates restrained her. Leaving her powerless to do anything to stop that boy alongside the pixie like vampire and the blonde girl speeding off with her mate. Her little babe.
"No, no she's mine" she screamed at their retreating backs, near hysterical now as her mate quickly disappeared from view.
"Enough Victoria this isn't the way" James murmured in her ear, holding her tightly and for the first time in Victoria's 565 years as an immortal, the red headed vampiress sobbed in anguish, her body going lax as she clutched her coven mates shirt hard enough to rip the fabric, trying to tether herself to some sort of comfort.
"They have her, they have my mate" she whimpered, burying her head in to her brothers chest. Letting him hold her tightly as they sunk together on to the ground, the vampiress sobbing uncontrollably for the first time in her life. She thought not knowing where her little mate had gone was bad, this was worse. Knowing that her girl had gone of with another, a pathetic boy devastated her. It felt like her heart was torn and she couldn't make sense of what she saw.
"She chose him, she didn't want me" the read head couldn't help the old anxieties creeping up within her, the same powerless heartache she had felt long long ago as a child whose mother had all but abandoned her to fend for her siblings and a father that only saw money signs when he looked upon her.
"No, she did not choose him Vic" James reassured but it was her coven leaders words that cut through her distress the most.
"She had little choice in her reaction Victoria, I know you know better. You know the ways of a vampire, think about what you saw, what did your mate look like?" He spoke calmly but both Victoria and James could hear the undercurrent of anger that ran through every word. Puncturing the haze of the vimpiresses anger swiftly.
Victoria gasped, pulling back from James she stood quickly. The image of her Bella's glazed eyes and the way she clung to that boy swimming through her mind with perfectly clarity. No longer tinged by her grief at her mate choosing another. The nagging feeling of missing something, of something not being quite right with the way her mates eyes couldn't focus on anything suddenly making so much more sense as she realised just what she had seen.
She felt her anger returning with ferocity. Her eyes snapping to meet her coven leaders own understanding yet furious eyes and she knew she was right. It wasn't her mates choice. She hadn't the option to pick. The boy wouldn't allow it. The boy had taken that from her mate. Had given her no option but to cling to him.
"He Dazzled her!?" She asked, knowing the answer but needing the confirmation. Recalling her coven leaders and Athenadora's teachings about a vampires ability to control and manipulate their prey easily by using their pheromones to entrap them. It was something she had never done, finding the idea of luring someone in under false pretence and eradicating their free will barbaric. Those that did were no better than the scum she and her coven hunted for food.
It filled her with fury, knowing just how much it would hurt her little one to have the dazzle broken, depending on the strength of his manipulation on her girls mind would determine just how painful the process of freeing her would be and that was something she dreaded for the human girl.
"He did" Laurent replied and the vampiress felt a heavy sort of dread drop into her stomach, sure if she were still human she would be sick right now. Her mate, her little babe, her innocence, her life, her heart and free will stolen by a boy. And for what reason? Why would he dazzle a human girl that had done no harm in her life? Whom lived her life with a pure sort of innocence that caused many, not just Victoria to fall in love with the beautiful little human?
She didn't know. She had no idea why he had done such a cruel thing, though she did know one thing and that was that this boy and his coven would pay. Each and every single one of them would suffer for what they had done to her Bella and she would take great pleasure in making sure her mate was returned to her and the coven who had taken her burned in agony for their crimes.
That coven would die and Victoria would dance on their ashes.
