Disclaimer: I do not own J.R.R. Tolkien's Legendarium, Buffyverse or anything else you may recognize
So, this is a long one-shot idea I'm doing for some fun, and just trying out a crossover pairing for our favorite hot Elf.
This takes place long after LOTR and for Buffy, it starts at the end of the Season 5 finale.
And this better blow up, I worked really hard on it, so it better!
Hope all enjoy.
Legolas Greenleaf wandered the woodlands in Ithilien, wearing his usual garb, carrying a bow, with a quiver behind him as he looked around.
With his father's leave and permission of King Elessar, who was one of his closest friends, he had come to stay here with some of his people to live out his remaining days in Middle-earth, and his colony had been working to restore the war-torn woodlands.
Now, it was quite the beautiful sight once more, especially since the Enemy was defeated, and no one would threaten these woods again, which brought joy to the Elf-Prince, as he loved the woods, and seeing them destroyed hurt his heart.
A heart, which, while still loved the woods, did not belong in them anymore. The sea continuously called out to it now, and the only reason he was still here was Aragorn.
Aragorn was quite old now, and last time the two had spoken, it seemed like Aragorn is growing weary of this world. As much as Legolas wanted him to stay, he knew his friend was mortal, and would give up his life one day. He had ruled for long, and the Reunited Kingdom had become prosperous under his watchful and kind eyes.
His and Arwen's children were grown too now, and would be ready to lead the people.
Legolas believed he was ready for his friend's passing, but deep down, he knew he would never be. Aragorn was the greatest Man he knew, nothing would prepare him for his passing.
Or what just happened next.
There was a crack in the air in front of him, and Legolas' eyes narrowed as he examined it. It seemed like the air itself was breaking apart.
Legolas was going to nock an arrow at the threat but he suddenly found himself somewhere else completely. The blue sky now turned dark, and instead of the woods, he was standing in a place of metal.
He turned to see a construct of metal as well, it was an incomplete one though. Up above was a giant blue hole in the sky, spewing lightning.
The Elf-Prince's eyes narrowed as he saw a golden-haired Woman in it, and he rushed to help her but the hole closed, and her body toppled to the ground.
Legolas leapt onto a pile of bricks and then into the air as he held out his hands, catching the Woman in his arms and landing nimbly on his feet.
But alas, he was too late. Her bones were all crushed, and she was on the verge of death already. The last thing her eyes saw was his face.
"An…..angel….." She whispered before passing out in his arms, and then Legolas turned to see more people arrive. One was a red-haired Woman, who was tearing up already, and she was supporting a brown-haired Woman with her, who seemed quite disheveled.
Then there was an old Man, who looked like he had lost his entire world. A young dark-haired Man was there too, holding a young Woman in his arms, and Legolas could tell her foot was broken.
Another Man stood there with golden-whitish hair, and he wore a dark coat and red shirt. He immediately fell to his knees and started sobbing bitterly.
And finally, there was a young human girl, no older than sixteen, and she was crying as well.
Legolas moved aside, realizing this dead Woman was of value to them all, and as they gathered around her tearfully, Legolas closed his eyes and sent up a prayer for her. "Hiro hyn hîdh ab 'wanath."
The old man, as saddened as he was, was curious about him as he turned to Legolas. "Who are you?"
"I am Legolas, Prince of Mirkwood", Legolas introduced himself as he looked around. "I do not know how I reached this place."
Looking at the Woman's body, he apologized. "Forgive me, for I could not save her."
"Don't blame yourself", the red-haired Woman assured between sobs. "She was dead before you caught her."
"Perhaps the melding of worlds from the portal brought you here", the old Man realized as he looked Legolas up and down.
"I do not understand", Legolas said, confused.
"We shall tell you more later", the old Man sighed before holding out his hand. "I am Rupert Giles."
Legolas shook his hand, not knowing that soon he was about to be part of another Fellowship.
A private funeral was held for the Woman whose name was Buffy Summers, and she was protector of the town called Sunnydale. She was the Slayer, a Woman chosen to battle the forces of darkness.
Legolas sang a sad and beautiful lament for her as her body was buried which moved everyone to tears.
After the funeral was over, the others were all awed by the tales Legolas told them of the land of Middle-earth, of Elves and Dwarves, Wizards and Men, Hobbits and Dark Lords, Rings of Power, and great wars.
The tales of the Quest of Erebor and the War of the Ring were the ones closest to the Elf-Prince due to his own role in them both, especially in the latter one, where he told them about the Fellowship of the Ring- the resilience of Frodo Baggins as he carried the One Ring, the loyalty of Samwise Gamgee who stayed by his master till the end, the humor brought to them by Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took and also the bravery they showed in battles, the greatness and skill and heritage of his friend Aragorn II Elessar, his friendship with the strong and gruff and skilled Dwarf Gimli, the greatness and corruption and redemption of Boromir and the power and wisdom of Gandalf.
Sauron's darkness was so powerful it made even Glory look like child's play in comparison.
In return, he was told of this world, of Slayers and Watchers and Vampires and Demons, and Buffy's role in defending this town, the Hellmouth, from all evil, and her victories against the Master, Angelus, the Mayor, Adam and now Glory were told to him in great detail by her friends, though they were all sobbing by the end of Glory due to the loss of their friend.
Legolas, in that moment, took the hands of each of them one by one, and soothed them with his kind words in Elvish while assuring that Buffy's sacrifice would not be in vain, because the Hellmouth now had a new protector- him.
"You?" Willow asked. "You can…..you will protect this place?"
"Perhaps I was brought here to protect the town in her stead", Legolas speculated as he turned around. "Now no longer having a way to my world, this is the path I have chosen for myself."
"You sure you can do it?" Spike asked as Legolas shot him a look. "I mean, this is the modern world, pointy-ear, not a medieval high fantasy world."
Legolas took up the chipped Vampire's challenge with a smirk.
At night, in the cemetery rose 5 Vampires, who now, without their souls, were beings without a conscience.
As they prepared to go cause mayhem, an arrow struck the chest of one of them. With a grunt, he pulled it out as Legolas lowered his bow, Spike behind him to see what he could do.
The Vampires charged, thinking this was easy prey, but Legolas, in an astonishing feat of his nimble Elvish agility, leapt upon the tomb stones one by one, Spike staring in disbelief.
Not giving the Vampires a chance to react, Legolas kicked one as he reached close, sending him away before taking out his Elvish daggers with a flourish, and two of the Vampires turned to dust as their heads left their bodies.
The next one struck but Legolas spun his daggers and the arm was gone as Legolas spun and stabbed his throat before ripping the dagger out, and the head was gone once more, and then he spun once more and decapitated the last one.
The Vampire who had been kicked got back up and charged but Legolas spun his daggers and spinning again, chopped off his head which was sent flying off but the body turned to dust.
Spike was impressed and said. "Whoa, mate! You have some really good reflexes."
And the Vampire was impressed even more when Legolas sheathed his daggers with a flourish.
So it was, that the Elf-Prince became protector of Sunnydale, and when he was not patrolling the town, he learnt more about the modern world, and its appliances, like the television, the microwave, the heater, the shower, the cars, the robots and the weapons.
To better combat the Vampires, he crafted for himself arrows of wood, which when shot by him never missed the heart of a Vampire for that good was his aim.
Staying in the house of Buffy, he provided comfort to Willow, Tara and Dawn, and also found out about the relationship that Willow and Tara shared, which took him by surprise since there was no such thing in his world but he was glad for them. "I have never seen this in my lands, but your love is pure, and I am glad for the two of you."
His kindness and wisdom was a great source of aid to the three in this dark time of loss and grief, and Spike, while Legolas was not overly fond of him due to his past atrocities and crass, was not considered a threat by him due to him too helping take care of Dawn, who needed love and care in a time like this.
But in his mind and heart, he did not forget the beautiful face of Buffy when he had caught her, and the pain he had felt on feeling her life slip away even if he did not know who she was at the moment.
Eventually, a robot of Buffy that had been created was repaired to be the Slayer in her stead, and Legolas had been disgusted at Spike when he had found out the purpose behind its original creation.
However, the robot, while it looked and behaved like Buffy, was not sufficient to protect the town, and that burden fell on the Elf-Prince, which he carried out with grace, humility and skill.
What he did not know was the thought that had entered the mind of Willow, to bring Buffy back to the land of the living, and she shared this with Tara, Xander and Anya.
"But what if we are unable to do it? What if we expose our world to another Hell Dimension?" Tara asked.
"I have read it all carefully, please, we need to bring her back", Willow told her.
"And what about Legolas?" Xander asked. "He protects Sunnydale just fine."
"He is still learning about the world and how it works, we need Buffy, we need them both", Willow argued.
"Not convinced, not convinced at all, this is gonna go horribly wrong" Anya said with a shake of her head.
But eventually, all were convinced, and all agreed to the plan, and the ones not in the know were Legolas, Spike, Dawn and Giles, who left sometime before this was tried out, but was bidden farewell too, and Legolas came as well.
"I do not begrudge you leaving, for your grief is still too near", Legolas told the Watcher, who nodded at him in appreciation as they shared an embrace, and Giles left.
At night the town came under attack from the biker gang called Hellions, but Legolas was not going to leave it undefended. He shot down various of them with his arrows, killing them before they could loot too much.
Eventually, he tracked them down to where they had set up camp, and to his shock, the Buffybot was with them too, as they prepared to rip her apart.
As two of them put their chains around her and prepared to drive their bikes away, they were felled by arrows as the Elf-Prince leapt down to engage them.
"Kill the pretty boy!" The leader who was called Razor ordered, and his Demons charged.
The first struck with a bat but an arrow went through it into his neck as Legolas smoothly spun between them, felling two more with arrows before unsheathing his daggers in a quick fury, forming an impenetrable barrier with them as no Hellion was able to go past his defences.
One of them rode at him with his bike but Legolas leapt and kicked him down while standing on his bike which still rode for a few seconds and he jumped from it, allowing it to ram into Razor who was wounded before being killed by another arrow.
"Look! It's Buffy!" The robot then said and Legolas turned around, blinking in surprise to see another Buffy staggering around, looking here and there, as if everything had been ripped apart from her.
And in that moment he knew it was the true Buffy, the one he had failed to save, and she was back at last.
Sheathing his daggers, Legolas walked to her and gently took her face in his hands, making her face. "Oh fair maiden, what ails you?"
"Is…this…Hell?" Buffy asked, drawn into his gaze. "Then why is an angel like you here?"
"I am not an angel, my lady", Legolas assured with a kind smile. "And you are not in Hell, I assure you, you are in the world now."
He took her in his arms and whispered soothing words in Elvish as she calmed down at last, and by the time Spike and Dawn arrived, she was quite comforted, and so were they on seeing her alive.
When the rest returned Legolas was furious as he asked. "By what right did you bring her back from where she was?"
"Wasn't Gandalf resurrected too?" Willow asked in defence.
"Not by us", Legolas reminded the Witch. "But by a power beyond any of us, to finish his task, the lady Summers can say no such thing."
Seeing her shock and grief made them feel guilty for bringing her back as they apologized, but she did not pay them much mind, and after the evil that was brought with her was defeated, she told them they had resurrected her from Hell.
But Legolas knew that was not true. "I know you were in the Halls of Mandos, for only from leaving there can a mortal be so grieved."
Buffy wanted to lie, but knew the Elf-Prince would see through it. "All right, fine, I was in Heaven."
"So why not tell them?" Legolas asked. "Are they not your friends? Do they not deserve to know the truth of why you are angry with them?"
For reasons even Buffy herself could not tell, in his presence she felt comforted, and the closest to Heaven after having been ripped out of it, and so his advice, she felt compelled to follow as she told her friends the truth, and once more, they apologized profusely, but she once again paid that no mind, telling them that she needed a while to set it all right.
However, to her pleasant surprise, Legolas did not abandon her side, and kept her close, his presence bringing her comfort and his wisdom helping her on a better path as he took her hands and told her. "Death is considered a gift by the Eldar, but coming back from it the way you did, it is understandable why you are this way, my Lady, but since you are back now, I believe it is because you are needed."
"Like Gandalf?" Buffy asked. "But he was sent back by a higher power, wasn't he?"
"The same higher power would have ensured that your friends' task of resurrecting you would not succeed if you were not needed", the Elf-Prince advised her gently. "So you are here for you are needed."
"Maybe I don't want to be needed", Buffy said, tears in her eyes.
"So do all who are, my Lady", Legolas comforted her as he took her in his arms and she sobbed into his shoulder. "But it is not for us to decide."
His words and wisdom prevented Buffy from going down a darker road she might have taken if she had not confided in him, and she would have bene gladder at that than she was had she known what it would have led to.
When Giles made his return, he and Willow argued about magic as Legolas listened, but did not do anything yet.
Then the M'Fashnik struck and roared at Buffy. "You cost me, Slayer."
Others would not have paid heed to the words, but the Elf-Prince, now deeply learning the ways of the modern world, did, and he read between the lines as he nocked an arrow right at his throat, preventing him from making a move. "Who sent you?"
The Demon was so mightily frustrated with his employers that he immediately spilled the beans before Legolas loosened his arrow.
He then made his way into the lair of the three employers, who were just boys playing at being Men, and Warren Mears was their leader as he tried to fire a special gun, but Legolas shot an arrow through his hands before he could and he dropped it in pain.
"Perhaps you need to realize what your path shall lead to", Legolas said coldly and by the end, Warren's bones were broken everywhere and he was moaning and crying in pain, and Andrew Wells tried to make his escape but an arrow to the doorknob stopped him, while Jonathan Levinson begged for forgiveness, and all Legolas saw in him was lonely boy who just wanted to belong.
"You joined the wrong company, my friend, but your sins are not so grave yet and your mind and heart not lost to darkness like him here", Legolas gestured to the crying Warren and held out his hand. "Come, there is hope yet for you."
Jonathan had accepted and taken his hand as a call had then been placed to the police who arrested Warren due to the April-bot which had caused a lot of damage a few months ago.
Following that, Legolas had confronted Willow at last. "You go down a path from which there may be no return, you must tread carefully."
"What do you know of magic, nothing?" Willow snapped.
"Perhaps I do not, but I do know when people lose themselves due to obsessing over something too much", Legolas gently counselled the young Witch. "My mother died, there is no grave, no memory."
"Oh my God, I am so sorry", Willow apologized with sympathy in her eyes, but that was not what Greenleaf wanted.
"My father cut himself off, and he was obsessed the White Gems of Laslagen which were supposed to belong to her, but were kept by the Dwarves", Legolas told her his side of the tale. "And in his obsession with the gems, he forgot what truly mattered. Do not forget what matters, Willow. Tara loves you, she matters, and so do the rest of them."
While this did not outright make Willow stop going down her dark path, it did make her reconsider as she slowly stopped using magic for the most basic of needs.
Then the singing and dancing Demon called Sweet was released, and the whole town burst into song and dance as Legolas and Buffy walked through the town together at night to patrol and find out the cause of this.
And then Legolas felt it affecting him as he asked Buffy. "I will sing you a song of the maiden Nimrodel, who bore the same name as the stream beside which she lived long ago. It is a fair song in our woodland tongue; but this is how it runs in the Western Speech, as some in Rivendell now sing it."
Then in a soft voice he began-
An Elven-maid there was of old,
A shining star by day:
Her mantle white was hemmed with gold,
Her shoes of silver-grey.
A star was bound upon her brows,
A light was on her hair
As sun upon the golden boughs
In Lorien the fair.
Her hair was long, her limbs were white,
And fair she was and free;
And in the wind she went as light
As leaf of linden-tree.
Beside the falls of Nimrodel,
By water clear and cool,
Her voice as falling silver fell
Into the shining pool.
Where now she wanders none can tell,
In sunlight or in shade;
For lost of yore was Nimrodel
And in the mountains strayed.
The elven-ship in haven grey
Beneath the mountain-lee
Awaited her for many a day
Beside the roaring sea.
A wind by night in Northern lands
Arose, and loud it cried,
And drove the ship from elven-strands
Across the streaming tide.
When dawn came dim the land was lost,
The mountains sinking grey
Beyond the heaving waves that tossed
Their plumes of blinding spray.
Amroth beheld the fading shore
Now low beyond the swell,
And cursed the faithless ship that bore
Him far from Nimrodel.
Of old he was an Elven-king,
A lord of tree and glen,
When golden were the boughs in spring
In fair Lothlorien.
From helm to sea they saw him leap,
As arrow from the string,
And dive into the water deep,
As mew upon the wing.
The wind was in his flowing hair,
The foam about him shone;
Afar they saw him strong and fair
Go riding like a swan.
But from the West has come no word,
And on the Hither Shore
No tidings Elven-folk have heard
Of Amroth evermore.
The voice of Legolas faltered, and the song ceased. "I cannot sing any more", he said. "That is but a part, for I have forgotten much. It is long and sad, for it tells how sorrow came upon Lothlorien, Lorien of the Blossom, when the Dwarves awakened evil in the mountains."
"Why did you sing this to me?" The Slayer asked.
"Perhaps because I find you as fair as an Elf-maiden, as brave as the stoutest Dwarf, and as skilled as the greatest Man", Legolas confessed as she watched him with eyes wide in shock and disbelief. "My heart has been captured by you, Buffy Summers, to you now it belongs, and there shall it stay till the end of my days."
So touched and enamored by his words was she that Buffy took Legolas' face in her hands and graced his lips with a loving and passionate kiss which was returned in kind, and so that was the day when the Elf-Prince and Slayer became lovers.
When Sweet abducted Dawn, Xander confessed who it was that opened the talisman and Sweet left as Legolas told Xander in a wrathful tone. "Much has been cost today because of your foolishness, do not play with forces you do not understand, boy."
His wrath was as strong as his kindness was gentle, and Xander was frightened enough to obey him.
Giles wanted to leave but Legolas told him. "Buffy may have learnt to live her life again, but she is not the only one who needs your guidance. Willow needs it too, so does Tara, and Xander, and Dawn, even Anya. Do not abandon them, my friend. Even I cannot guide everyone alone."
And so Giles had stayed as Legolas eventually got a fake identity from Willow's computer skills called 'William Bloom', and he became a part-time consultant in the police department, his experience and wisdom aiding the police in whatever they faced. And at night, he and Buffy protected the town from the forces of darkness as their love grew.
"You know, I never thought I would be able to live life again when I came back", Buffy confessed to him. "But because of you, I can. You set me on the right path, God knows what would have happened if not for you."
"And nothing did happen", Legolas assured her. "And nothing shall, for I will not abandon your side."
And they had kissed once more, their love only growing from that point forth.
Legolas had then found Spike wallowing and asked. "What is that ails you, my friend?"
"The Slayer, I loved her, but you got her now", Spike scoffed while shaking his head as he got up. "I'm gonna leave this place, I am unwanted."
"So you tried to be better only for her then?" Legolas asked and got a nod. "Or perhaps deep down, you do want to be a good Man."
"What are you trying to say?" Spike asked.
"Instead of trying to be better for her, perhaps you can be better for yourself, for I know you have a desire to do good but the Demon inside always wins", Legolas counselled, and Spike, to his surprise, thanked him before leaving.
"I hope he does find what he's looking for", Buffy told Legolas.
"He will, when he realizes what it is", Legolas assured her.
He also spent time with Dawn, and encouraged Buffy to do the same, and in the presence of the two of them and Willow and Tara, she once more became the bright, cheerful, happy and bubbly teenager she used to be before the tragic passing of Joyce Summers.
Xander and Anya had a wedding without incident, because Legolas caught the Demon posing as future Xander and hurled him out of the church. "I apologize to you since Anya ruined your happiness, but you ruining her happiness is no justice, and it shall not make you happy again."
Months later Spike returned, now haunted by guilt for all he had done due to regaining his soul, but Legolas and Buffy did not give up on him as Legolas told him. "This guilt is your humanity returning to you. I am not saying do not repent, but be glad that you can do so now."
Then the First Evil struck as everyone was haunted by forms of dead loved ones, or just dead people they used to know, and Legolas saw his mother who reached out to him. "How can you forget the sea, my son? It calls out to you still, that is where your heart belongs, not here."
"My heart belongs with Buffy Summers, and you are not my mother, you insult her by wearing her face", Legolas told it with some anger in his voice as next it turned into Kili.
"You loved Tauriel and she chose me over you when she met me, it burns you, doesn't it?" Kili asked.
"Not anymore, for I know now Elves fall in love when they are meant to, they know to whom their heart belongs when they see that person", Legolas said calmly. "And when I saw Buffy I knew it was her to whom my heart belonged."
It then turned into Boromir and asked. "And what of Ithilien? Was it not your responsibility, which you abandoned for love?"
"And the woodlands are beautiful once more with no evil to threaten it, so while I desire to take care of them, I did not abandon them in dire condition", Legolas responded, and thus the First Evil stopped.
Eventually the Potentials were brought in and most of them were arrogant, especially Kennedy who Legolas noticed tried to advance on Willow even when she was with Tara.
"Her heart belongs to Tara, do not delude yourself into thinking you can win her over by advancing onto her like this", Legolas tried to counsel gently. "Your own arrogance shall be your undoing."
"Oh I don't need you to advise me pointy-ear!" Kennedy snapped as she tried to attack but was on the ground in an instant.
"As I said, your arrogance will be your undoing", Legolas reminded, and from that point forth Kennedy was more subdued and stopped advancing on Willow, a fact for which both she and Tara were thankful to the Elf.
Then came the Turok-Han, and after some toil, Legolas and Buffy managed to take that down in battle and inspired the Potentials by doing so.
Events then passed as Spike's chip was removed, and Robin Wood came into the picture, and wanted Spike dead but got no support and had to abandon his plan grudgingly.
Faith Lehane then returned alongside Willow to help in the final fight, and she and Spike found kindred spirits in each other.
Caleb came too, and while he could not touch Legolas in a fight, Legolas could not kill him either, but Legolas shot out his eyes before he could gouge out Xander's, saving the Man, though Caleb regrew them soon.
Eventually, the M? was found and Buffy used it to defeat Caleb while Angel returned to give his amulet.
"You look good", Angel noted. "You didn't look so well last time we had met."
"It's Legolas", Buffy told him with a smile.
"Do you love him?" Angel then asked, and she confirmed with a nod.
"I'm sorry if this hurts you", she apologized.
"It doesn't, we both moved on", Angel said, though he was sad on saying it as Cordelia Chase whom he loved was in a coma now.
Buffy handed Legolas the amulet and said. "You will wear it only if you want to."
"This world is now like a second home to me, I shall do anything for it", Legolas assured Buffy, and they kissed each other, and slept in the other's arms.
Next day the final battle began as the Potentials were all turned into Slayers, and in the Hellmouth Legolas, Buffy, Spike, Faith and the other Slayers all battled the Turok-Han, Legolas felling many with his strong wooden arrows, the strength with which he fired them managing to penetrate their hearts.
At one point he kicked one down from behind and used it to slide and kick another one back down before dusting two of them with his arrows.
The amulet then began glowing and Legolas knew his time had come as the rest ran off, and Buffy stayed with him.
"Why did it have to be you?" Buffy asked with tears in her eyes as they grasped hands.
"I do not want my last sight of you to be you in tears", Legolas requested, and she obliged as she wiped her tears and smiled, and he smiled back as they kissed each other.
"Gi melin!" Legolas whispered to her.
"Gi melin!" Buffy whispered back, and then she went away as Legolas was consumed by the amulet.
Legolas' eyes opened and to his surprise, he was in the woods of Ithilien once more.
"Strange", he thought to himself. "How am I back here?"
And he walked around, reaching back to his quarters, and not one person expressed shock on seeing him, just gave him bows, and he realized he had not been gone from here for longer than a minute.
"My Lord Legolas."
Legolas turned as the Elven messenger bowed to him and informed regretfully. "King Elessar has passed away."
The Elf-Prince felt his heart shatter at the loss of one of his greatest friends, and knew the time had come.
Now on a ship, Legolas sailed away with Gimli towards the Undying Lands, remembering his final conversation with Arwen. He knew she would die of grief soon.
He had told Gimli all about his life in the other world as Gimli asked. "So do you think about her, laddie?"
"All the time", Legolas confessed. "My heart belongs to her now, Gimli. And it shall always."
And Buffy's heart belonged to his to, for Buffy now wanted a portal opened to his world so she could inform his family of his fate at least, and after a lot of toil, Willow and Tara, now a married couple themselves, did it for her, and she entered Arda at the same time Legolas and Gimli reached the Undying Lands.
When that happened, both were whisked away in front of Mandos. "You, Buffy Summers, and you, Legolas Greenleaf, you two have both died once but your spirits did not reside in my halls for long, for you, Buffy were resurrected by your friends, and you, Legolas, the amulet could not contain your spirit and instead sent you back to Middle-earth, alive and well."
The Elf and Slayer were just happy to embrace each other once more as Legolas got on his knees and begged. "Please, give us both a chance at life. Whatever grace has given me, I let it pass on, for I want to spend my life with her from now till the end of my days."
Mandos was conflicted, but at the end, Legolas and Buffy managed to convince him, and so Legolas was made mortal, and he and Buffy became the fourth time a Man and Elf had romanced after Beren and Lúthien, Idril and Tuor, and Aragorn and Arwen.
So Legolas was allowed to go back to Buffy's world, and he took Gimli with him, where the Elf and the Slayer finally joined together in marriage, with blessings from Giles as they gave each other rings of gold.
And thus, their love lasted until the end of their days, triumphing over all odds.
Now obviously, this is just meant to be self-indulgent fantasy wish fulfilment, but hope all had fun with it, because I just wanted to have some good fun here.
With Legolas here, the disasters of the final 2 Seasons were averted as well.
Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with another update.
