So, I wondered, how would the Winchesters react to Angel and here this goes. Takes place after BTVS 6x02. Again, the Winchesters have met Buffy before and are friends with her from my previous Buffyverse/Supernatural crossovers.
Disclaimer: I do not own Buffyverse or Supernatural.
"So, we know that Angel is Buffy's ex or something like that but would someone mind filling us in on what exactly happened between them? Buffy was kind of sketchy on the details." Sam said.
"We know they've got some Romeo and Juliet crap with the gypsy curse but…" Dean trailed off.
Willow then stepped up as she stood in the middle of the room. "Let me break it down for both of you."
She took a breath as she started to make her voice a little higher to act like Buffy. "Oh, Angel! I know that I'm a Slayer and you a Vampire… and it would be impossible for us to be together, but!"
Tara, Dawn and Anya giggled in amusement and Giles chuckled before Xander walked to Willow. "But!" Willow turned to look at him as Xander made his voice a bit more serious to sound like Angel. "My gypsy curse sometimes prevent me from seeing the truth. Oh, Buffy!" He moaned softly.
"Yes, Angel?" Willow asked.
"Oh, I love you so much I almost forgot to brood!" Xander said passionately as all watched wide-eyed and laughed.
"And just because I sent you to hell that one time doesn't mean that we can't just be friends." Willow said before Xander grabbed her by her wrist as she gasped.
"Or possibly more." Xander said.
"Gasp! No! We mustn't." Willow said, mortified and looking away.
Xander pulled Willow close.
"Kiss me." Xander said.
"Bite me!" Willow said.
Xander bent Willow back over his arm and made growling noises as he pretended to sink his fangs into her neck as the room exploded in laughter of amusement.
"So, star-crossed lovers. I thought we might get some melodramatic crap." Dean said.
"At least it wasn't as bad as with Ross and Rachel." Dawn said as everyone nodded in agreement before they turned to Giles in surprise. "You watch sitcoms?" She asked.
"I have a life and I have a TV." Giles shrugged.
"How about you both bite us both?"
Willow and Xander straightened themselves, blushing in embarrassment to see Buffy and Angel, looking both annoyed and amused.
"So, that's the broody vampire." Dean said as he neared dangerously close to Angel.
"And that's the infamous Dean Winchester." Angel said, eying Dean as the phrase 'if looks could kill' came to mind.
"You're the Scourge of Europe? I'm not impressed. Nothing more than another supernatural cockroach I could easily crush." Dean said.
"You want to test that theory, boy?" Angel said as he clenched his fists, while Dean pulled out his knife.
"Dean!" Sam stepped up, alongside Buffy.
"Why don't you both calm down and let's talk it out?" Buffy said, both of them trying to act as peacemakers and hoping there wouldn't be another Riley situation, while the Scoobies tensed and Sam sighed, shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"Oh, I'm willing to talk, with my fists." Dean growled.
"I'd like to see you try." Angel growled.
Sam and Buffy were ready to restrain them as Dean and Angel neared inches away from each other, when suddenly, both of them laughed hysterically, much to everyone's confusion.
"Oh, my God, did you see their faces?!" Dean said.
"Priceless!" Angel said as he and Dean grabbed each other by their shoulders like old buddies.
"Uh… what the hell is going on?" Buffy asked, speaking for everyone.
"We worked on one case together few years ago in San Francisco." Dean said.
"A crazy warlock causing trouble. His spells didn't work on me." Angel said.
"And our Dad worked with him too, undercover, as Sam Ryan, remember how Dad once ranted about his lost watch and that a vampire helped him, Sammy?" Dean reminded and Sam's eyes widened.
"That was you?" Sam realized, turning to Angel, who nodded as everyone relaxed and laughed in relief and shook their heads at Dean's and Angel's immaturity before they both groaned and looked embarrassed as Buffy smacked them both on the backs of their heads and glared.
"You are idiotic jerks, both of you!" Buffy said.
"Well, we'll have to do this again sometime." Angel said as he left the Magic Box, accompanied by Buffy before he turned to her. "Buffy, are you and Dean—"
"No." Buffy shook her head. "We're friends, that's all." Angel raised his eyebrow as she took a breath. "OK, we spent some time together and slept together but it was a one-time deal. We broke it off before it could get any more serious and made it clear that we couldn't be together under the current circumstances, so you have nothing to worry about between me and him."
Angel nodded. Well, Dean was still better for Buffy than the insecure idiot Riley, but he could see why it would not work long-term, since Dean's occupation was similar to Angel's.
"Honestly, I like him, Buffy. He's a good guy. Better than the other one." Angel said and Buffy could not argue with that, glad that she had his blessing before Angel drove off in his car.
"Well, there he goes." Sam said.
"Well, he's not that bad. Better than most vampires." Dean shrugged as Buffy smiled, glad that her friends found some common ground.
A reference to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played Dean's and Sam's father John Winchester in 'Supernatural' and also Sam Ryan, a client who hired Angel to help him get his watch back from vampires. Dean's and Angel's reactions are inspired by Yondu's and Rocket's interactions from Guardians of the Galaxy video game from Telltale.
And come on, Cordy's and Wesley's reenactment of Bangel is always hilarious, so I just had to have Xander and Willow do it, and it's inspired by Aragorn II Elessar's 'Heroes, Vampires and Slayers'
And I think Dean and Angel wouldn't meet each other's eye on principle at first due to Dean's initial bigoted attitude in general and Angel getting a 'Riley' impression from Dean but they would warm up to each other eventually. Wasn't sure how to do a Winchester/Angel team up but I might do something like that at some point.
Please review and let me know if you have enjoyed this one-shot.
