Summary: Ep 9 of YJ S1. Not much else to say here, this one's more summary from Dick's POV, so I'm sorry if you find it boring. The fun stuff with Dick's thoughts and psyche really comes in after ep 15-16 ish

Dick woke up an hour later, a massive headache tormenting him. He stumbled through the desert, trying to remember exactly what he was doing here. Everything was foggy to him. Man, I am wiped! Alright, couple questions. Why does my head feel like Uncle Clark punched my brain? Why can't I remember anything? And WHY AM I IN A DESERT?! Before Dick could go any further, he heard a jeep passing by. He ducked for cover, watching as the armored buggy drove through the desert. "Those are Bialyan Republic Uniforms." He pulled up his holo-map, trying to determine his coordinates. "But what are Bialyans doing in uh...Bialya?" A mystery even the great Batman can't solve! "Okay, better question. What am I doing in Bialya?" H noticed the date. "In September?! What happened to March? Better radio Bats!"

Before he could use his communicator, he got a glimpse of a memory. Bruce told him to "maintain radio silence." What the hell was that? And why can't I remember the whole story? Dick flipped down from his hiding place, noticing a scrap of cloth. He picked it up to find a red Superman logo on it. Huh. Interesting. He then brought up his holo-map to try and locate something that could help him piece the fragments together. Weird, why is there a GPS marker in the middle of the desert? Well, as good a place to start as any! He ran off, careful to avoid any troops.

A few minutes later, he approached the mobile server he had set up. "Wish I could remember why I put a GPS marker here!" He spotted the server in a ditch and ducked for cover, peeking out to make sure the coast was clear. "Huh. Guessing that's why." he leapt into the field and walked up to the server. However, before he could do anything, Bialyan troops ambushed him, jumping out of nowhere. Alright, finally some action! Dick dropped a smoke bomb, smirking as he vanished into the mist. He took out the troops one by one, not breaking a sweat as they all dropped. Piece of cake! Before he could do anything, more troops popped up and started firing at him. Okay, maybe I take that back! He flipped around, effortlessly dodging the bullets with his superior agility and throwing the spare birdarang back at the attackers. Suddenly, a flash of lightning whizzed by. Hold up! Is that-

"I'll hold that! Thanks." Kid Flash arrived on the scene, wearing a black variation of his suit, just as the troops were levitated up by Miss Martian. A stray troop was shot down by Artemis. Who are these guys? Well, at least I know one of them! But since when did he wear black?

"KF! Man, good to see a familiar face!"

"Hey, Rob! Memory loss?"

"Six months! Let's compare notes." After the group tied up the troops, Miss Martian told them everything she remembered, which admittedly wasn't much.

"So, we're a team?"

"The four of us, AND Superboy!" Superboy? Almost as original as Wonder Girl.

"Then THIS must be his!" Dick held up the scrap of clothing from earlier.

"Yes! Did you see him?" Why is she so eager?

"I think we did!"

"Feral boy? Some teammate, he attacked us!"

"He didn't remember who we are! I don't remember who we are!"

"I remember Batman ordering radio silence. Our team must work for him!"

"And how do ya know we don't work for MY mentor?" Well for starters, Bats could get through a conversation without needing to stop for snacks. Wally pressed the Flash logo on his suit, accidentally dropping his camo and reverting to his original suit colors. Whoa! Cool!

"Will you knock it off? We look ridiculous!" Says the girl who looks like a wannabe stripper. Before anyone could do anything else, M'gann psychically brought them into her mind.

"I've brought you into my mind to compare what we've learned. I think I can stitch our broken memories into a fixed one, but I need your fragments."

"You wanna pry through our private thoughts?!" What's she hiding, exactly?

"I have no wish to intrude, but-"

"You need to hack our brains to figure out what happened, go ahead." Just let me lock up the more sensitive info, just in case. Don't exactly need these guys figuring out who Bats and I really are, at least not yet.

Wally grabbed Artemis's hand, which Robin noticed. "Fine. But ONLY the last six months! And only what you need!" Megan nodded before mind-linking them. DIck suddenly remembered everything. The mission, them getting brain blasted, and-

"Aqualad!" They all yelled. Wally and Artemis immediately dropped hands, which Dick noticed but didn't have time to focus on.

"He's probably somewhere in the desert right now! We need to find him."

"Now that I know to look for him...he's close! Let's go!" Dick led them to Kaldur's GPS tag, and they thought of a way to get him out of there. Man, out cold! Guess that's the downside of having gills in a desert. Wally tried to carry him back, but he was fresh out of energy.

"Miss M, can't you levitate him back to the ship?"

"No! I have to help Superboy! 6 months ago he didn't even exist! He has no memories!" Before anyone could argue, Megan flew off. Dammit! We still don't know what happened to our memories! It could happen again! Dick sighed before he and the others started to drag Kal to the ship, however they stopped and found cover when they heard troops patrolling nearby. Wally and Artemis started to bicker, which drove Dick insane. How do these guys go from buddy-buddy crushing on each other to wanting to rip each other's throats out in less than a minute? He disappeared, setting up a trap with his explosive birdarangs. He silently reappeared, but before he could say anything, Wally said something that caught his attention.

"Wait a sec, why would your dad want you to kill me?" Uh what? Did she leak something when she was amnesia-fied?

Artemis stuttered. "Uh-I-uh remembered this movie I saw the other day about a ninja guy who finds out his daughter's ninja boyfriend is in a rival ninja clan, so he wants to kill him!"

"Oh, so I'm your ninja boyfriend, huh?" Blackmail! They make this way too easy for me! Wally and Artemis continued to bicker, neither noticing Robin had returned, and so he broke them up.

"Geez, get a room you two!" They both blushed before turning to him.

"Dude, where were you?!"

"Breaking radio silence." Dick smirked as he pushed a button on his belt and the birdarangs released knockout gas. He and the others brought Kal back to the ship, when they were connected to Superboy and Miss M via mindlink.

-Hey guys! We're heading back now, and with a souvenir!-

-Awe man! That's my thing!- Well you could consider Arty your souvenir, since you two certainly seem closer than before! Dick smirked before Kaldur woke, up very startled.

"Robin? Kid? Where are we? And who are they?"

-Hello, Megan! I didn't restore Aqualad's memories!-

After everything was sorted out, the team returned to the cave with a souvenir: a sentient alien spherical device nicknamed "Sphere" by Superboy. Okay, enough is enough! Someone SERIOUSLY needs to teach these guys how to pick better names! The team reported to Batman, who sent them off with minimal lecturing.

"Dick, are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, yeah! I'm all good! Memory banks topped up and everything."

Bruce nodded before sending Dick off to Zeta to the Batcave. "Alright, now go on. Clean up and get to bed. You have school tomorrow."

"You're not coming?"

"I need to do a bit of research on this new Sphere. We don't know much about it and I need to cover all bases. Especially since, from what you told me, it has traces of Boom Tube energy on it and it is likely Apokolyptian in nature."

"Alright, see ya tomorrow!" Dick Zeta'd away while Bruce turned back to study the device. As Dick arrived at the Batcave, he started to sort through his thoughts. Okay, so we figured out this alliance of bad guys has connections to Darkseid. That's really not good. But at least he's not attacking. Plus, if they really had connections to him, you'd think he'd at least send a general here or something. Alright what else? Megs totally falling for SB and him being clueless, what else is new? Ooh, and Wally and Arty subtly hitting on one another! Hold up a sec, how do all these guys have sorta-relationships and I'm just sitting here all alone? Wally and Arty, SB and Megs, heck, Kal probably has someone in Atlantis. Kinda feels like I'm the 6th wheel...

Alright, this one was meh IMO, but what did you think? We are closing in on the second half of the season, which is where Zatanna actually features, and so she will be in pretty much every chapter after episode 19, which is where she joins the team officially (introduced in ep 15, but is just a guest character until ep 19, when she loses her dad and all that stuff). Next chapter is Dick reminiscing on some of his scars and traumas, and after that is a Father's Day chapter with younger Dick. After that is Ep 12 of YJ S1 (I'll be skipping episodes 10 and 11 cuz Dick is not in them at all and they don't have anything to do with Dick. Ep 10 is a Roy and Kal ep and Ep 11 is where Connor and Megan get together. Ep 10 is also where Connor chooses his name, so I can finally stop typing Superboy so much.)
