Chapter 6- New Friends

Hong Kong, China

Jake flipped his hood up as he walked down a raining street in the middle of Hong Kong.

After having recovered, Ethan Hunt had sent him to Hong Kong to gain some more information on Wo Fat, and there were people who had connections to him.

Jake walked towards a casino and entered. Now, the only way to win was through roulette.

"Greetings, Mr…" the guard at the door spoke.

"Holland. Jake Holland." He smirked, taking off a pair of sunglasses as he straightened the tie of his suit.

The guard checked a list and nodded.

"Come in." He said in Mandarin.

Jake walked into the casino, seeing it was already busy, and that there were many people there.

Jake walked over to a casino table, where Blackjack was being played.

"I'll take 12." He said, noticing the dealer had 2-6.

As he waited, he looked around to see several armed guards in the corner. The guy he was looking for was named Ricky Tan, and that he had information on Wo Fat's whereabouts.

"Do you know where Ricky Tan is?" Jake asked the dealer, causing all activity at the table to stop as he stared at Jake.

"What business do you have with him?" the dealer asked.

"I need to speak with him." Jake replied.

"Well you can't speak with him. Nobody talks to Ricky Tan." The dealer shook his head and went back to dealing cards.

"Mmmm, fine then, I'll deal with this myself.' Jake thought to himself, silently slipping into the crowd.

He mingled around slightly, his eyes scanning the entire area.

As he walked towards a door, two guards appeared in front of him.

"Come with us, now. Ricky Tan wishes to speak with you." One guard said.

"Why?" Jake asked, though this was what he secretly wanted.

"Now!" the guard demanded, forcefully grabbing Jake's arm, though he made no move to resist.

He was roughly led upstairs towards an office.

Opening it, the guard shoved Jake inside. Jake looked up to see an Asian man in a business suit.

He looked at Jake with a cold smile, one of a predator.

"So, Mr. Holland, I heard you were looking for me. Why?" Ricky Tan asked smoothly.

"I was just curious," Jake lied. "I heard great things about you; I wanted to see if they were true."

"Now, come on, you and I both know that's a lie," Ricky smirked. "The truth, now."

"That is the truth." Jake shot back.

Ricky gave a sigh of mock disappointment before motioning for the guards to grab Jake.

One gave him a punch to the abdomen, making him blanch slightly, but he maintained his composure regardless.

A second guard kicked Jake in the knee sending him down. A third guard flipped and kicked Jake in the face, making him fly back and hit a wall.

"Goddamn it!" Jake groaned, wiping some blood from his mouth. The guards picked him up and one punched him twice in the face and stomach.

"Yeah, you hit hard." Jake said as some blood spilt from his mouth.

"Now, are you ready?" Ricky asked.

Jake clenched his fists before spin kicking the guard nearest to him, making him fall down.

Another tried to strike but Jake back-handed him hard, making him stagger as Jake punched a third in the abdomen.

At that moment, the doors burst open and two men entered. The first was dark-skinned and had a badge on his hip.

The second was a middle aged Asian man. Both were aiming their pistols.

"Come on then ya'll, let's see what ya got!" the dark-skinned man said in an obvious American accent.

"Drop your weapons now!" the Asian man demanded.

"Ah, Inspector Lee, I see you came back," Ricky said nonchalantly. "And I see you brought Detective Carter as well."

"Quit playing fools of us, man!" Carter snapped. "That ain't called for!"

"Guys, less talking, more beating the crap out of this guy." Jake groaned, getting to his feet.

"You know him?" Lee asked.

"Long story." Jake said. Suddenly, the doors burst open and several guards rushed in.

Jake leapt and smacked several thugs with a nearby staff, before flipping to avoid gunshots and striking the man in the throat, making him gasp as he staggered back in pain.

Carter grabbed one thug and knocked him out with a punch, before dodging another and knocking him out with a punch.

Lee blocked several strikes and caught one punch, elbowing the thug in the face, taking him down.

Jake dodged some more strikes before kicking back and sweeping another's legs.

He blocked a strike with his staff and elbowed the man out.

Jake dove to the side to avoid a knife strike and kicked the thug's legs out, sending him down before he kicked him out in a spin motion.

Lee struck another out with his hand, taking one down before one thug tackled Lee through a wall.

"Damn!" Jake commented, while Ricky silently escaped through the chaos.

Carter side-stepped to avoid a guard and grabbing him, rammed him into another one as Jake did a spin motion and kicked another away.

One of them grabbed him from behind but he took out a pocket knife and jammed it into that guard.

He then kicked two more guards away as Carter shot another in the head, taking him down as well.

Jake elbowed a soldier from behind and Carter smacked another with his gun.

With a roar, Jake kicked another in the face, sending him crashing through a wall which broke on impact.

He then jumped and kicked a guard, before he kicked Jake back as well. Jake and the guard locked hands, trying to overpower the other, gritting their teeth as they did.

The guard broke the deadlock by kneeing Jake in the abdomen, making him grunt, before he threw him to the other side.

As he was about to attack, Lee hit him in the back of the head, knocking him out.

"We must go!" Lee said urgently as more guards arrived.

"Emergency stairs!" Jake said, kicking one door open.

The three of them then began running down the stairs. Two guards appeared but Jake shot them both in the head.

Carter grabbed one guard and shoved him against a wall, beginning to punch him.

"Everybody kung fu fighting!" Carter began singing.

"What is it with this guy?" Jake muttered. Lee flip-kicked a guard in the face, making him slump to the ground.

Jake jumped and stabbed another guard in the chest with his knife, making blood begin to pour out of his chest.

"Boom baby!" he laughed.

Lee spun and elbowed a guard in the face, knocking him out as well.

"Carter, come on!" he shouted as Carter also began running down the stairs.

One guard tried to attack but Jake blocked and gave him a powerful uppercut, knocking him out.

"Candy ass." Jake muttered.

Two more appeared and he kicked one in the head before spinning and wrapping his legs around the other, throwing him down.

Carter punched a guard in the face as Lee spin kicked another incoming guard.

Seeing three more coming, Jake side-kicked one in the head before sweeping another's legs and kicking the third out.

"Who are you two?" Jake asked Lee and Carter.

"Is now really the time man?!" Carter demanded as he rushed towards an empty van, smashing the window.

More guards came towards them but Jake grabbed a fallen pistol and returned fire.

"Come on!" Lee shouted. After firing a few more shots, Jake rushed towards the van and jumped in.

"Oh man, this is not what I had in mind." Jake wiped the sweat off his brow.

"I think some explanations are in mind." Lee said.

"You don't say." Jake muttered, wondering what was going on.

Oh yeah! The 'Rush Hour' films are now part of this verse, and this takes place during the second movie. The first two films are absolutely amazing. Among the best I've ever seen.

The third film could have been better, but it was still great.

I had always intended to include Rush Hour in this series since I want to expand this series to include some more fandoms and characters.

Before you ask, this series isn't going to be as large scale or epic as my 'We Are Heroes' series, but it will still be epic in its own way.

Now the next few chapters will involve Jake, Lee and Carter.

Hope everyone enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter. Stay safe ya all!
