Chapter 8- Ambush

Hong Kong, China

Jake looked around as he stood at the runway. A plane soon landed and skid to a stop.

After a few moments, the plane opened and McGarett and Kono stepped out of it.

"Hey guys, thanks for coming." Jake smiled at them.

"Well, we owe you one," McGarett said before turning serious. "Now what exactly is the problem?"

"There is this guy connected to Wo Fat, named Ricky Tan. He can give us iformation on Wo Fat."

Both of them looked at him as if he had just said he was an alien.

"Are you insane? Why are you even here? Also, remember the last time you went up against Wo Fat, you got your ass kicked and you were in the hospital for 6 weeks." Kono reminded.

"I know that," Jake shook his head. "But if we work together, we can find Wo Fat, and we can take him down."

"Why does Wo Fat interest you so much?" McGarett asked, crossing his arms.

"I just want payback." Jake said. It was partially true. He wanted payback, but it was also his job.

"Makes sense." McGarett muttered begrudgingly.

"We'll help you," Kono said. "What have you got?"

"I've made some friends; Inspector Lee and Detective Carter. Both of them are fighting Ricky Tan. I figured if we all team up, we can take him down and get Wo Fat as well." Jake explained.

"Hit two birds with one stone." McGarett mused.

"Exactly," Jake smirked. "So, we gonna get going or what?"

"Let's go." McGarett said as they walked into the building where Lee and Carter were waiting for them.

"Guys, I'd like to introduce to you two of my friends, Steve McGarett and Kono Kalakaua, from the Five-O Task Force in Hawaii." Jake said.

"You're going to help us fight Ricky Tan?" Lee asked for confirmation, shaking both their hands.

"Yeah we are." Kono nodded.

"Well thank God for that," Carter threw his hands into the air. "Because this shit's crazy."

"Heh, you don't say." Jake chuckled.

"Okay, show us what you've got." McGarett said, getting down to business.

Jake pulled up a photo of an opera stage.

"According to some contacts of mine, Ricky Tan is going to be there tonight, 8:00 PM," Jake explained. "We get in, we interrogate him, we leave him for the police to find."

"Just like that?" Kono asked skeptically.

"Yeah, just like that." Jake nodded.

"The plan sounds crazy." Lee shook his head.

"Which is the only kind of plan we have left." Jake sighed.

"All right, we have 5 hours. Gear up." McGarett said firmly.

Later, Opera House

Jake walked into a bustling room full of people, trying his best to remain inconspicuous.

Next to him, Kono walked up to him, now wearing a form fitting black dress.

"You look beautiful." Jake whispered to her.

"Thanks." Kono replied with a slight blush.

"Go ahead. I need to do something." Jake said, disappearing into the crowd.

He walked into the men's bathroom, beginning to straighten his tie.

"Okay, everyone in position?" he asked via comms.

"Yep." McGarett replied.

Jake was about to say more when the doors burst open and 5 men entered, glaring at Jake.

"Aw shit, these guys couldn't even give me a break before starting up again." Jake groaned, turning to face them.

"Ricky Tan said you must not live." One man said, twirling a crowbar.

"All right then, bring it on." Jake gestured at them.

He side-stepped the first attack and elbowed him in the back before jumping and kicking the second man in the chest.

The third swung the crowbar and Jake avoided before punching him in the ribs.

He lifted Jake by the throat and slammed him onto the sink, making it crack as Jake struggled to free himself. He knocked the man off and staggered.

Steeling himself, Jake charged towards the fourth man. Smirking, the latter punched Jake in the chest, making him hit the ground hard. He clutched his chest in pain.

Jake rolled away to avoid another strike and kicked the man in the face, making him stagger.

He raised his arm to block another strike and sent a right cross that whipped the fifth man's face.

He caught the next punch and head-butted Jake, making him stagger.

"Ow!" he groaned, slowly getting back up as the first two guys marched towards him. The second man tried to punch but Jake rolled away in time and kicked him in the back with both feet.

"Is this all you've got?" Jake taunted.

"Oh we're going to enjoy this." The man said. Jake ducked and gave him an uppercut, knocking him out as he crashed to the ground.

Taking out his gun, he shot the second man in the foot and then the head, splattering blood on the walls.

He elbowed the third man and blew his brains out. The fourth swung the crowbar but Jake ripped it from his hands and struck his face with it, knocking him out.

He then tripped the final guy and knocked him out with a hit from the crowbar.

"Jake, you okay? What the hell was that?" Carter asked via comms.

"Never mind. It's all sorted." Jake said, walking out the bathroom like nothing happened.

"It's like that situation in Miami with the rouge cops." Jake mused to himself.

The mirror fell over.

McGarett aimed a sniper rifle from a window as Ricky Tan sat in the audience, watching the opera singers sing 'Turandot."

"I'm all set." He said.

"Good, I'll get ready." Kono said.

McGarett aimed the sniper rifle at a cable holding the roof.

"3. 2. 1." He counted down. once he finished, McGarett pulled the trigger and the bullet sailed through the air and sliced the steel cable.

The roof creaked and groaned as the performance stopped and everyone looked up in confusion and dawning horror.

The roof then began falling as people screamed in fear and began running.

"Kono, he's exiting!" McGarett reported.

"On it." Kono replied.

Lee and Carter emerged from a nearby corner and began fighting the guards.

"Everybody's kung fu fightin'!" Carter sang as he smacked one guard with his gun.

Lee spin kicked another and threw a third guard to the ground.

4 guards surrounded Ricky as they began rushing towards the exit.

The exit was crowded with people to the brim as they tried evacuating.

Jake stood in one corner and as one guard came close, he shot him in the head.

Ricky Tan raced into his car and climbed in.

"Drive!" he ordered. The car started up and they raced across the street.

"Can you go faster please?" he asked annoyed.

"Gladly." A female voice replied.

The car sped forward and Ricky hit his head on the seat, groaning in pain.

"What?"

The person turned their head, revealing Kono smirking at him.

She drove the car to a side-walk and the door opened, as Jake splipped inside.

"Ricky Tan, we meet again," Jake smirked. "Tell me where to find Wo Fat."

"I don't know!" Ricky grunted.

"Bullshit, you two are like buddies," Jake scoffed. He shot Ricky in the foot, making him cry out in pain. "Where is he?"

"I'd recommend you answer." Kono warned.

"Okay! He's heading to Hawaii!" Ricky said with gritted teeth. "There's a major deal going down in 2 days."

"Thanks for your kind information." Jake smirked, knocking Ricky out with a punch.

"I'll drop him off at the police station," Jake said. "Tomorrow, we get a flight back to Honolulu."

And this is done. Hope the fights were enjoyed.

This isn't the last we've seen of Ricky Tan. He will appear in one more story of this series for sure.

Now we're heading back to Hawaii for the final battle, so hope all are excited for that.

Hope everyone enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter. Stay safe ya all!
