Later, Metro General Hospital
George came to, bruised as he felt bandage wrapped around his head, when he turned his head to face a dark-skinned and a middle-aged man with bald head and hair at the sides.
"Costa… Mahoney…" George whispered.
"Easy, Captain." Sergeant Mahoney said, holding George down.
"What exactly happened, George?" Detective Costa asked.
George tried to remember. "Sandstorm…" His eyes then widened. "Oh, my God, Gwen! Where is—"
"Whoever did this, took Gwen and we found this at the accident site." Mahoney said, pulling out an evidence bag with a cellphone, turning on the voicemail, with the voice disguised.
"Captain George Stacy. If you are hearing this, you are wondering what has happened to your daughter Gwen. To answer that question…"
"Dad! Help me!" Gwen's voice screamed on the phone as George's blood ran cold and he clenched his fists.
"Your daughter will be returned to you safely and unharmed, as long as you will do as I say. And don't bother asking anyone else for help, it won't do you any good anyway and I will know, if you try." The disguised voice said. "Now, I want you to access the Global Portal codes in Homeland Security HQ in New York."
"Those codes would give that maniac an access to every governmental computer in the entire U.S." George whispered, horrified. "Even if I wanted to, I don't have clearance there."
"Before you consider backing out, remember, I have Gwen. Nothing will happen to her, as long as you will do as I say. You have until midnight tonight. Let me know. Number's programmed in, alongside the program that will give me access to the codes, once you plug it into the DHS's computer." The disguised voice said.
"It's 10 o'clock. What do you wanna do?" Mahoney asked.
"I have no choice and I'm running out of time." George said as he got up, ignoring the pain he was feeling.
"There's no guarantee he'll let Gwen or you live!" Costa pointed out.
"I must do something!" George said as Mahoney and Costa looked at each other before Mahoney pulled out his phone.
"Madani, I need you to do something for me." Mahoney said.
New York
Toomes was about to drive away in his van to see Liz, when he heard 'thud' and was surprised to see Spider-Man peek out from the front window.
Department of Homeland Security, New York branch
George was in the reception, when a dark-skinned woman noticed him as he smiled at her.
"Special Agent Madani." George said.
"Captain Stacy. How can I help you?" Madani asked.
"I'd just like some older files on Frank Castle from the Central Park shooting and the gang war and Billy Russo, there are some things the brass needs to get their facts straight about." George said.
"I thought we cleared that out long ago." Madani said, folding her arms.
"Yeah, we did, but honestly…" George clicked his tongue. "Look, Castle's not the usual sort of a nutbar, so I'd just like to know what kind was the department chewing, if you know what I mean, get my mind into the scenery."
"I see." Madani said. "I'll check what files I can you on Castle, Russo and the rest."
She was about to leave, when George spoke up. "Uh, I got a bad signal here, can I ask what's the wi-fi password?"
Elsewhere
Octavius smirked as the data was being uploaded into his computer.
New York
Spider-Man was on the edge of a rooftop, with Toomes' leg hanging on the web and Spider-Man holding it and Spider-Man taking away Toomes's remote to his wings.
"Those friends you mentioned. Where are they? Tell me!" Spider-Man demanded as Toomes laughed.
"Come on, kid. We both know you don't have the guts to do it." Toomes gloated.
"I've had to kill aliens to defeat Thanos, alongside Mr. Stark, to save the universe. You think I won't drop you? Think again!" Spider-Man snapped before letting go as Toomes yelped before Spider-Man fired another web to catch him.
Toomes laughed as he looked up at Spider-Man. "You see? I knew you would never really let me—"
Suddenly, he screamed as Spider-Man let go once more before webbing Toomes's leg again.
"That's strike two. Care to try for three?" Spider-Man warned.
Toomes was half-terrified to death and half-impressed how far would Peter go to save his loved ones as he looked up. "Alright, kid. You win."
Later, Spider-Man webbed towards the abandoned warehouse and looked around until his Spider-Sense went off. Suddenly, a swarm of bats flew towards him as he dodged but they grabbed him and flew around with him before Spider-Man webbed towards a pillar and zipped towards it, freeing himself from their grip. Spider-Man fired web bullets from his shooters as the bats exploded and his spider-sense went off. He turned to see a tiger lunge towards him but assumed that it was a hologram and he was right as it flew through before Spider-Man noticed a giant wheel saw above and as Spider-Man felt the whooshing in the air, he barely jumped away in the nick of time as it scratched his suit.
Knowing he couldn't rely on his sight, Spider-Man closed his eyes, relying on his spider-sense as a dragon flew towards him but passed through. A giant robot bear appeared, brandishing its claws as Spider-Man flipped away before he webbed its arm and pulled, ripping the arm off as it exploded. Spider-Man then sensed darts firing from the turrets in the walls and web-swung away before webbing the turrets to stop them from firing.
More thugs appeared, some of them robots or holograms as they opened fire and started exchanging blows but using his reflexes and spider-sense, Spider-Man dodged, blocked and countered, seeing through the illusions and tearing apart the robots.
"Enough of your tricks! Face me like a man, unless you're a coward, Mysterio!" Spider-Man yelled.
"I'm detecting the signal." Karen said as the lenses on Spider-Man's mask narrowed before his Spider-sense went off, while seeing the thermal imaging of Beck pulling out his gun but Spider-Man dodged and kicked Beck in the face, with all the holograms turning off.
"No more tricks. Game's over. Where's your boss and where's the girl?" Spider-Man demanded, pinning Beck to the wall, with his hands stuck with the webbing.
Spider-Man entered the great hall, where a fat man with dark hair with four robotic arms in a harness was standing in the middle of the circle with Scorpion, Sandman, Electro and Kraven and above was Gwen in a cage.
"Spider-Man! It's a trap!" Gwen yelled.
"How? I've beaten you all before!" Spider-Man said in disbelief.
"You underestimate me, boy. I've observed you. I know your weaknesses and strengths. I know your moves. And so do my robotic colleagues." Octavius said. "And now… you will die."
Spider-Man barely dodged as Scorpion and Electro fired lasers and electric blasts and then Sandman formed a giant sand arm, punching Spider-Man away but he recovered as he eyed all the villains, assessing the situation, how to take down all six superpowered villains, or at least their robotic versions in most cases and save Gwen.
Hope you enjoyed Mahoney's, Costa's and Madani's little cameos. For those not in the known and haven't watched Netflix MCU TV series (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, The Defenders), Sgt. Brett Mahoney is a cop ally of Daredevil and Detective Eddy Costa is a cop ally of Jessica Jones. Dinah Madani is an agent of Department of Homeland Security and an ally of Frank Castle, the Punisher.
Plus, Toomes seems to be at least an honorable criminal, like Snart in The Flash or Fisk in Daredevil to an extent, considering that he promised to keep Daredevil's identity a secret, as long as Matt wouldn't send Fisk's wife Vanessa to prison and I'm pretty sure Toomes wouldn't approve of using a family as a leverage, considering that he himself is a family man.
And here's the final dance with the Sinister Six (or to be more precise with most of them, robotic versions created by Doc Ock and Mysterio).
So, what do you guys think about it?
Please review and let me know if you are enjoying this so far and want for me to continue.
