Thank you to everyone who has favorited, followed or reviewed this fic so far.

Thanks a lot to Brainstorm Sorcerer for the help with this chapter.

So this chapter I'll do 'Hell's Bells' from BTVS Season 6 and it'd be the last episode from that Season that shall happen in this shared verse, and I'm not gonna cover Angel 3x14 (not a fan of that episode), 3x15 (love it but pointless here) and most of 3x16. And when I say most of, I mean the most important portion of that episode will be covered here.

Hope all enjoy.

Chapter 13- Wedding and disaster

Los Angeles, Hyperion Hotel, the morning after

Matt and Faith both awoke at about the same time, stretching as they turned to each other with smiles, covered only by the bedsheets.

"Cordy was right, you are something else in the sack", Faith finally said, running her hands over his chest as she climbed over him.

Matt seemed bewildered. ""When did you two talk about me and my ex's sex life?"

"You didn't think we spent the whole time looking at dresses, did you?" Faith replied to his question with a rhetorical one of her own and winked as they chuckled and kissed on the lips, then Faith's eyes widened.

"Oh boy", she said.

"What?" Matt asked her.

"Well, I left my dress and shoes outside", Faith said. "People are gonna find out what we did."

"And?"

"It's gonna be so much fun seeing their faces, for me that is", Faith said as both of them burst into laughter.

Later

Matt, now dressed up, made breakfast for everyone at the hotel and put it down, though Angel was giving both him and Faith the stink eye, to which Faith was responding with a smirk.

Angel, unfortunately, had heard Matt and Faith the previous night, and had to cover his ears with earplugs and the pillow.

The breakfast was put down as Lorne ate some of it and said. "That's it, I don't care who have to kill, I'm going to find a way to keep you here, Devilicious."

He got odd looks and responded to them with his explanation that he had in mind. "The man is the total package, he's handsome, he sings, he cooks, and have you seen that body?"

"When did you see it?" Matt asked randomly, eliciting chuckles from the rest.

"Yeah, Matt is a great cook, and so is Angel", Cordelia agreed, remembering his cooking. "Especially for someone who doesn't need food to survive."

"Thank you", Angel smiled as all ate.

"This food is good, better than anything I have ever eaten in Pylea", Groo spoke as he ate.

"Thanks", Matt said.

"And I think you need a makeover if you are to stay here", Cordelia told Groo, who simply gave a nod as he continued eating.

Fred and Gunn were already getting a bit cuddly, which made Wesley uncomfortable, and Matt felt his sympathy go out to the guy, since he knew Wesley liked Fred a lot, and she had gotten with Gunn now.

"So, what shall you two do after this?" Wesley asked Matt and Faith.

"Well, Xander and Anya invited us to their wedding", Faith said with a shrug.

"Figured they'd invite you to", Angel said to Cordelia.

"Yeah, but, ex, ya know?" Cordelia pointed out, and Angel had to concede.

Well, she was just a one-night stand so not much of a problem, Faith thought to herself.

"Have a safe journey when you go back", Gunn spoke up, his mouth stuff.

"Thanks", Matt told him, as they ate their breakfast together. What they did not know was that all of them wouldn't be sitting and eating together like this for a long time from now on.

Two weeks later, Sunnydale

Matt and Faith both arrived at the place called 'Sunnydale's Bison Lodge'. Other cars had pulled up there already, and various guests were arriving. It was raining so all of them had umbrellas, and Matt held up one too to cover himself and Faith.

They walked in where Dawn had just taken a wedding present from D'Hoffryn and Halfrek the Vengeance Demon, and she had put it down on the table, since it was squirmy with tentacles.

As Matt and Faith entered, both D'Hoffryn and Halfrek turned to look at them, and their eyes widened in horror on seeing Matt as they sensed what he was.

"Is that…?" Halfrek started.

"It is", D'Hoffryn confirmed with a nod, as Matt heard and turned to look at them, and both of them just gave him forced polite smiles and waves, then walked off, as Matt smirked, knowing their reasons for behaving like that.

"Look at you, everyone here is gonna behave themselves because of your sheer presence", Faith told Matt as both of them shared a chuckle.

Dawn then walked up to them and Faith noticed she was wearing an ugly, green dress of some shiny, teal fabric. The sleeves weren't too long, and there were ruffles on all sleeves and on the skirts from the knee to the floor. There was a green flower over the heart too. Dawn's hair were tied up.

"What the hell are you wearing, kiddo?" Faith asked in shock, looking Dawn up and down.

"I can't see but I know the fabric is not the best kind", Matt agreed there. "What is it?"

"Just something Anya made us bridesmaids were. Me, Buffy, Tara and Willow", Dawn said with a shrug. "Weird stuff. But she's our friend so we have to follow."

"I would be jealous that I got left out of the bridesmaid stuff but after seeing that, eh? Not a big loss", Faith quipped all three shared a chuckle there once more.

"Well", Dawn said. "So, mingle. And yes, there are Demons too."

"We know", Matt told her.

"Two of them got scared of Matt, one had horns, the other had a weird face", Faith revealed.

"Right, D'Hoffryn and Halfrek, wait, you scared them both?" Dawn asked in awe.

"Well, according to how they reacted, yeah", Matt nodded.

"Awesome. You can keep the Demons in line then", Dawn said happily. "If they need it that is."

"Exactly what I was saying", Faith said as she raised her hand and Dawn high-fived it before moving away to do her duties, and Matt and Faith held hands and continued in.

"Never thought I'd attend a wedding like this one", Faith commented before noticing some of Xander's family making rude remarks on the Demons, unheard of course. "Though I think the Demons are clearly more civilized."

"No doubt there", Matt agreed with her.

"Hey Matt!"

They turned to see Peter walk up to them as he shared a hug with them both. "Faith."

"You are no hero now, kid, you couldn't save your girl from having to wear that horrid dress", Faith told Peter who sighed.

"Yes, I am very disappointed", Matt added in a joking tone as they chuckled.

"Well, I don't want Anya to go off on me, ya know?" Peter pointed out. "Besides, it's just for this day. A much worse punishment would be not getting to eat hot dogs from New York again, which is what I'm getting by having moved here."

"Regretting it, eh kid?" Faith asked with a wink as she tapped his shoulder. "Don't worry, we have exchanged places, I am protecting the city and eating hot dogs."

"I hate you", Peter joked as all of them shared another laugh.

"Yeah, I agree, the hot dogs are the best", Matt said with a nod. "Shame you can't taste them anymore."

"Yep, but there is a lot of other stuff here that I do like too", Peter shrugged.

"Then don't let that stuff wear ugly dressed again", Faith said with a raised finger and Peter nodded.

"All right, gonna go tell her how she looks really beautiful in that green thing, will be back soon", Peter told them before walking off.

"Now that is a good boy", Matt said as both he and Faith held hands and laughed when Spike arrived there.

"Hello, mate", he greeted Matt casually, and held out his hand and Matt shook it, then he turned to Faith and shook hands with her too. "Slayer."

"Vampire", Faith shrugged with a smirk.

He then noticed Halfrek nearby, and she noticed him too as both of their eyes widened.

"William?" Halfrek said in recognition.

"Cecily?" Spike recognized her as well, as Matt and Faith realized that the both of them knew each other.

Halfrek then noticed Matt near Spike again and skittered away in fear.

"What was that about?" Faith asked.

"Nothing", Spike shook his head before asking Matt. "Was she scared of you?"

"I think so", Matt said.

"And is Angel too?" Spike asked.

"Well, I did defeat him in fights so-"

"Wait what? You kicked Angel's ass?" Spike asked excitedly, and got nods from both Matt and Faith.

Now Spike wasn't as scared of Matt as he used to be, and threw his arm around Matt's shoulder. "You and me, we're going to be the best of friends."

"Yay", Matt said sarcastically.

They eventually made their way over to the lobby where Xander was surrounded by his mother, uncle Rory, Dawn, and an old man no one recognized.

The old man tugged at Xander's arm. "Please, I really need to talk to you."

Dawn mentioned the tentacle present getting loose to Xander as Matt said. "A squiggly present got loose."

"On it", Faith said as she walked off.

"I think I'm just gonna take a look too", Spike tapped Matt's shoulder and walked off himself.

"Please, please, you have to listen", the old man pulled Xander away, confusing Matt as to why he was so insistent. "You have to listen to me!"

Dawn, Rory, and Xander's Mom continue talking over each other as the old man pulled Xander a few feet away. "You can't get married today. It's a huge mistake."

Xander replied. "Yeah right, thanks for the advice, Uncle ... help me here?"

"Uncle?" The man asked. "You don't recognize me, do you?"

"I'm sorry, I don't-"

"It sounds crazy, I know", the man cut him off. "But you have to believe me." Xander looked puzzled. "I'm Xander Harris. I'm you."

Xander stared at him, bewildered.

Now Matt knew he was lying, because he could tell the man was a Demon.

He moved to them as Xander asked. "What do you mean you're me?"

"Means he is lying", Matt said as he arrived and grasped the old man by the sleeve, to his shock. "You are a Demon, sir, how can you be Xander from the future? Are you drunk?"

The old man was outraged. "Let me go-"

Matt pulled him away and told Xander. "I don't think this guy has the right intentions, so I'm kicking him out, any problems?"

"Nah, a Demon claiming to be me from the future, sends off warning bells, thanks Man, though Giles still gets to be best man", Xander said as he pointed at Matt with a smirk.

"And I do not begrudge him that", Matt assured as Xander moved off while Matt dragged the old man.

"Let me go you!"

"Well then, don't try to make a mess at weddings", Matt replied as he pushed him out of the place. "Get out."

The Demon roared and it looked like he was about to transform, and Matt then undid the buttons of his shirt, revealing the Hell-Mark as the Demon stared in horror, feeling compelled to obey it.

"Now get out of here, and never come near Xander or Anya again", Matt ordered, and the Demon nodded before moving away, and went off, holding up his umbrella in the rain, never to be seen in Sunnydale ever again.

With that done, the wedding managed to happen without a hitch. The Demons behaved themselves due to Matt, as the more powerful ones could sense his Hell-Mark and what he was, and seeing them scared of him made the lower Demons behave too.

Xander's family did crack a comment every now and then but Giles and Peter ended up shutting them up, and soon, Anya and Xander were on the altar at last.

Xander went first with the vows. "I, Xander, promise to love you for who you are, and for who you are yet to become. I promise to be patient, and to remember that all things between us are rooted in love. I promise to nurture your dreams and to help you reach them. I promise to share my whole heart with you, and to remember to show you how deeply I care for you, no matter the challenges that may come our way. I promise to love you loyally and fiercely—as long as I shall live."

Anya went next, and her vows almost made Xander go back on his promise to be patient. "I, Anya, promise to love you, to cherish you, to honor you, uh, but not to obey you, of course, because that's anachronistic and misogynistic and who do you think you are, like a sea captain or something?"

The guests all chuckled and Mr. Harris was about to make a comment but Peter shoved him back in place, then stood next to Dawn, while Xander looked dumbfounded, and Anya continued. "However, I do entrust you with my heart. Take care of my heart, won't you please? Take care of it because, it's all that I have. And, if you let me, I'll take care of your heart too. I'll protect it and tend to it, like a little mangy stray that needs a home, for as a long as I shall live."

Giles and Tara then held out the rings as they put them on each other, and then it was said. "You may kiss the bride."

And they kissed to applause from everyone as D'Hoffryn told Halfrek. "Well, looks like we aren't getting Anyanka anymore, end of an era."

"I know", Halfrek nodded, hoping there could be another Vengeance Demon who would be as brutal as she used to be.

Then the dance happened, and Xander and Anya were terrible at it, but fortunately the follow-up couples, which were Matt and Faith, Willow and Tara, Buffy and Spike, and Peter and Dawn, saved them the embarrassment by dancing gracefully, and they were followed by the rest too, and soon, there was some more mingling.

"So I am married now, and I and Xander can have sex all we want, every day", Anya told Faith happily while giggling. "He is such a beast in the sack, you know? Of course you would."

"Yeah, I know", Faith nodded, he was really good for a first-timer, and had pleased her well, but then again, she had made sure he did.

"How is Matt though? "Anya then asked excitedly.

"Huge step-up from everyone before, Xander included, Matt's the best", Faith told Anya, who was now looking thoughtful.

Xander had heard it as Anya started. "So, how about this- you, me, Matt and Xander, four-"

She was cut off when Xander grasped her and dragged her away as she said. "Hey, I was setting us up for a good time in the future!"

Faith chuckled as she saw Buffy and Spike as well as Peter and Dawn dancing, looking happy, while Willow and Tara walked next to her.

"My sympathies to you all for being made to wear these dresses", Faith said to Willow and Tara who chuckled.

"Yeah, you're a traitor, us and Dawnie are supposed to be your gal pals but you didn't wear it", Tara said as Faith shook her head with a smile.

"Anya didn't ask", Faith replied.

"And would you if she asked?" Willow then asked with a look in her eye.

"Nah", Faith said as all three burst into laughter. "So how are things in Sunnydale?"

"Nothing more than the usual Vamps, you know?" Tara said. "Or the Demons. Buffy, Peter and Spike can handle it, sometimes with assistance from us and Giles, Dawnie does some fighting too, and she knows some magic."

"Yeah, kiddo is special", Faith agreed.

"What about you?" Willow asked Faith.

"Well, took down the Maggia in New York", Faith shrugged.

"Yeah, saw that on the news", Tara smiled. "Congratulations."

"Thanks", Faith nodded. "Then in LA there was this Wizard, you know, a wannabe Saruman with a Gollum-sized obsession."

"Oh my God! You read Tolkien?" Willow asked in surprise.

"Yeah, since I got out of prison", Faith told her and Tara. "Love it."

"There's another topic to talk about", Tara smiled. "Though what about the Wizard?"

"Yeah, about that", Faith started narrating, and the wedding reception went on like that, with all of them having some good fun together and being happy in each other's company.

Two days later, New York

Matt and Faith were back in their apartment in New York as he took off her coat first, then his own, and put it down, and Faith suggested. "Hey, you know, there's one thing we need to talk about."

"What?" Matt asked.

"A job", Faith said. "For me, you know? A day job, I need one."

"Right", Matt realized they'd never thought of that till now. "Well, you tell me what you're good at and I'll try to-"

He was cut off when his phone rang, and he took it out. "It's Lorne."

"Maybe he wants to join us for a night", Faith quipped as they shared a chuckle, and Matt picked the call. "Yes, Lorne?"

Faith's light mood though, turned grim on seeing Matt's face turn angry at whatever it was that he was hearing, and now she got concerned. "Matt?"

Matt's eyes suddenly glowed a fiery-red as the phone dropped from his hand, and Faith used her Slayer reflexes to catch it. "What's the matter?"

Suddenly, Matt's Hell-Mark started glowing too, and he began snarling and growling like a beast, to Faith's shock, and she realized what was happening.

"Matt, fight it, please!" Faith begged.

Then suddenly, two monstrous, leather, bat-like wings sprouted from Matt's back, and Matt, not completely in his senses, flew out of the apartment, shattering the window in the way as he flew into the night sky.

"MATT!" Faith yelled as she ran to the broken window but he had disappeared by then.

Los Angeles, same time

Holtz, who had managed to finally abduct Connor due to Wesley's stupidity which got him his throat sliced by Justine, grabbed a hold of Justine and pushed her away from him then headed for the hole in the air that Sahjhan had opened as a threat so someone would kill Connor.

Angel dropped the gun he was holding, having taken it from one of Lilah's SWAT team, and charged after him.

Justine screamed. "Daniel! Daniel!"

Angel screamed. "No! NO!"

Holtz jumped into the roiling red air of the portal and disappeared from view, Connor in his hands. Angel jumped after him, but was thrown back by a lighting bolt lashing out from the portal and hitting him full in the chest.

Angel flew backward, landing with a hard thud and rolled to look back at the portal.

Sahjhan quipped. "Wow. I didn't count on that. Kinda takes care of my problem."

Justine and Angel stared at the portal from the ground as Sahjhan closed it. "All right then."

He looked down at Angel, who was still staring at where the portal used to be. "Have a good summer."

With that Sahjhan disappeared into thin air.

Suddenly, Justine felt herself frozen, and a chill ran down her spine as someone whispered to her in a Demonic but seductive tone. "So much fun to be had here."

Lilah watched Angel coldly when suddenly there was a loud roar and they turned to see Matt having crashed on one of the Humvees, crushing it with his feet before standing tall, Hell-Mark and eyes glowing, wings spread out, as Lilah's eyes now widened in horror.

"Matt?" She called out, now realizing why the Senior Partners were so afraid of him.

"What should we do?" A SWAT asked Lilah.

"Get out of here", Lilah said as they all got into various Humvees and drove off, while Angel was on his knees, looking shattered.

"Impressive!"

They turned to see Mephisto standing there. He was impressed that Matt had made the flight in mere minutes.

He had thrown Justine into his Dimension now, and she was forgotten, but he would have a lot of fun seeing her tortured.

Angel looked down as Mephisto walked to them and said. "I know Quor'toth, savage place, primitive and ugly beings. A poor place for a baby. Now, what I would like to know, just what would you do to get little precious Connor back?"

"Anything." Angel said instantly.

"Oh, that is very noble and selfless, Angelus, but you would be torn to pieces moments into your journey, and I was not talking to you." Mephisto's eyes turned to Matt, whose eyes returned to their normal brown, but the Hell-Mark remained glowing.

"What can I do?"

"Your powers are growing, and you'll need them, Abaddon." Matt's brown eyes flashed fiery-red.

"You can enter Quor'toth. Of course I could warn you of the many, many dangers of travelling through such Hells, but I don't think you would care."

"Get to the point." Matt growled.

"Alright then, Abaddon, you can travel to Quor'toth and fight off any beast that gets in your way, but the only way you can survive is with my power. The problem? The Devil within may overcome the human, actually I honestly don't believe we'll ever see Matthew Murdock's face again, if you choose to save the baby. Or, you can stay here, where it's safe, and you only have to wait as you slowly darken into, what's the name you used?" Mephisto glanced at the glaring and shaking Angel. "Oh yes, the Heir to Hell." Mephisto walked past the two to where the portal once lied. "So what will it be, Matthew, save the child, or save your soul?"

"I choose Connor."

The answer was immediate. Angel's head snapped to his best friend with his mouth agape, he couldn't form any words. Even Mephisto turned around with wide, surprised eyes. "No hesitation. Let it be known that Matt Murdock was a Man Without Fear."

The Devil chuckled at his own joke, with a snap of his fingers, a stable version of the portal Sahjhan created opened behind him. "Step through the gateway, and Abaddon will appear. There's no turning back once you do."

Matt made to walk forward but a strong grip held him back. It was Angel, his face showing turmoil.

"Matt I-I...this is-".

"The only way to save Connor." His hand gently removed Angel's own, walking backwards to Mephisto. "I'll get him back, I promise."

"And what if you die, Matt? What about Cordelia, Lorne, Gunn, Foggy, Karen, Maggie, Faith?" Matt stopped walking by the last name.

Mephisto rose an eyebrow as Matt stood there frozen, until he faced Angel and smiled at him.

"Tell them I'm sorry, but I'm expecting a party when I'm back." Angel snorted in surprise with his eyes starting to tear up. "I want a cake, chocolate, with icing, Foggy knows where to get it. I want it to be a lively affair, Connor's coming back after all. Lorne better warm up that voice of his."

Angel finally let the tears fall.

"Tell Foggy and Karen I know they can keep up the good work, and I can't wait to hear the stories when I'm back, Avocados at law after all. And good luck to you and Cordy, I know you guys will be good together, you bring out each other's best."

Matt made it to the portal, standing beside the Lord of Hell. "Tell Faith I love her."

"Matt!"

It was too late, and Angel could watch in slow motion as his best friend leapt into the portal, the last thing he could see was his skin turning a monstrous red and the wings sprouting forth.

Then the portal closed as if it was never there. Angel fell to his knees, Mephisto's laughter the only thing he could hear after losing not only his son, but his best friend.

Nearby, Stick, unseen to all but Mephisto, had been mystically bound by the Devil and lay on the ground, since even Strange's spell couldn't save Stick from him. Mephisto had done that to prevent Stick from reaching Strange in time.

He then undid the restraints and patted Stick's shoulder. "You trained him, right? I am sure you should have some faith in him." He chuckled at the pun. "Faith, HA! This will be so much fun."

With that, Mephisto disappeared as both Angel and Stick were on their knees, one unable to see the other and the other uncaring about the first, but both feeling grief equally, since both had lost a son, and in Angel's case, a best friend as well.

And finally done this one at last, hope all enjoyed it.

So yes, Matt has now gone after Connor and Holtz as Abaddon to bring them back, so not only does Angel lose his son, but also his best friend. Poor everyone really.

But Justine got hers, didn't she?

Xander and Anya got married, and if they get any problems after marriage, not my problem, because they won't here, since I don't want to do any drama.

Now 3x17 and 3x18 will happen mostly the same but I will still do them to show how everyone deals with losing Matt and Connor, 3x19 is where the changes begin.

Thanks a lot to Brainstorm Sorcerer for the help once more.

Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter.
