So this was a small update. Sorry for this chapter being a bit short but its mostly some set up for things that will come later down in the climax if everything goes as planned. Promise it will be worth it the end. I also need to get this out of the way, I'm focusing more on the relationships Jason has with the characters, addressing a lot of problems with his previous ones and forging new ones. The physical will be focused on but not as much due me not being well versed in that type of stuff though I do plan to do some research when I have time. Anyway, lets get on with this chapter.
As the days go by, Clark and Diana help pick up some of the slack due to Bruce, Dick and Tim being emotionally compromised from them watching Jason's torture and them going while still processing that, could potential innocent lives and/or theirs. However, during one of these days, someone pays visit to Joker's cell in Arkham and possibly makes him piss his pants.
Oliver Queen, in his full Green Arrow gear (Season 5-7 suit with 6-7 bow and quiver) makes his way through the shafts in Arkham and drops down in Joker in cell, who is wearing an Arkham prison jumpsuit He does notice that the Clown is still healing from the Explosive Gel in his mouth while using the TITAN formula (Bruce now wished he used the entire thing to make it hurt worse) but seems to look like his normal self. He is startled at seeing one of the Arrows, especially the Green Arrow himself, and not a Bat due to the Batman being very territorial and very strict on vigilantes who weren't afraid to put down there enemies permanently.
"Where ever you go, whatever you do, I'll be watching." His voice is barely conceiving anger, despite the modulator. He grabs Joker by the neck and slams to the wall. He brings one of his arrows mere inches to his neck. Joker lets some fear show. He knows that Green Arrow won't hesitate to kill him and it won't be quick.
"And why the sudden interest, robin hood?" Joker asks, wondering if the Bat even knows that Green Arrow is here or if he is too busy to care. The archer is not amused by his Robin Hood taunt (HE IS NOT ROBIN HOOD!} and brings the arrow head to Joker's neck, drawing a small drop of blood.1
"You'll find out soon enough, unless you're playing coy with me or you really don't know what I'm talking about. But if you manage to escape, I'll make sure you get transferred to Lian Yu." Joker's smile is immediately replaced with a frown. Oliver internally smirks at being on the very few people to wipe the smile of Joker's face. "I've still got some friends at ARGUS. Whoever, if either of them fail, I'll kill you myself, you fucking scum. I'll make sure you're last moments it the most panful thing you could ever imagine. Enjoy prison you fucking bastard." The lights flicker and the Emerald Archer is gone, no trace of him being the Joker's cell.
Back at the Manor, where Night has fallen, Bruce enters Jason's room quietly and sees him sleeping. Bruce feels a bit of relief at Jason being able to sleep peacefully instead of being plague by nightmares but that relief is gone as quickly as it when he hears Jason's whimpers. Jason whimpers and cries start to become stronger and louder as Bruce prepares himself to wake Jason up if necessary but Jason's nightmare seems to subside and goes back to sleep peacefully. Bruce lets out a breath of relief he had no idea he was holding.
Bruce puts his hand on his son's forehead, which makes Jason's body lose a bit of tension that he was holding. He revels in this small moment of being able to touch his Son. Despite Selina showing him the video, he stills doesn't want to talk to Bruce and doesn't let anyone but her, Diana and Alfred touch him to help him go to the bathroom, eat or any other things he can't due to his injuries. He pulls up a chair next to Jason's bedside and sits down. His hand is holding Jason's and his attention is solely on Jason's chest moving up and down as he breathes in and out while sleeping. Bruce later falls a sleep on the chair, knowing his neck is going to hurt lie hell in the morning.
So this was interesting. Here is my one and only note:1. Yes, I had to do the Robin Hood joke cause Joker very likely taunt Oliver about that, especially the Arrow version (which as stated before and as you can see in the franchise tag) is the one I'm drawing the most inspiration from, who was literally fighting the powerful upper class (I.E. The List before it was dropped until Season 5 brought it back just to shit on Oliver more) who profited from the suffering of the lower class, but actually having a fucking backbone (fuck off with that shit MG/WM) unlike the show version post season 2 barring some exceptions lie with the recruits in Season 6.So, what do you guys think? Appreciate any positive and constructive criticism but will ignore and delete any hate because Olicity and Lauriver fanboys are fucking scum.
