It's been 2 weeks since that day where Roy ripped Dick a new one and Jason is finally allowed to be on a wheel chair (Leslie wanted his hands to heal a bit more before allowing him to use a motorized wheelchair) and it's delivered by none other than Golden Boy and his Arrow counterpart.

"What? You don't like it?" Dick asks, his voice maintaining his cheerfulness and it pissed Jason off. Couldn't it have been just Roy, or Selina, Alfred, or even Bruce.

"The chair's fine. It's the delivery man I have a problem with." Dick's face loses some color and Jason would smirk if it weren't for his condition.

"Jason, I just want a chance to make it right, please..." Dick says, genuinely remorseful but Jason is not having it.

"No Dick, you just don't get to come here and say sorry, not after everything you did." Jason spits out, venom in his voice but with a small, barely noticeable bitter tone that Roy and Dick pick up.

Selina, being the god send that she is, came into the room and went to help Jason onto the wheelchair, though Jason reluctantly accepted. Selina looked at the two of them and the look on her face said 'get out, will talk later'. The two complied, though Dick was a bit reluctant. They went out of Jason's room, closing the door behind them. Roy shoots Dick a knowing look and Dick groans out loud, knowing exactly what Roy is thinking and is gonna say.

"I..."

"Don't, okay? I fucked up, okay. Just stop busting my balls." Roy reluctantly concedes. They walk back to their rooms, both exhausted physically and mentally. Physically after spending hours training due feeling restless thanks to not having to go on patrol (Clark and Diana have been covering for them) due them still having not gotten over what they saw in the videos and mentally due them having nightmares of of the previously mentioned videos of Jason's torture by Joker's hands .1

Meanwhile, Selina helps Jason in the wheelchair. Jason hates the need for help but concedes when Selina shots him a look that says 'accept it or else'. He may be stubborn but he knows not to mess Selina and Alfred especially. He's not suicidal, thank you very much.

"Thanks." Jason reluctantly

"Don't mention it."

They stay there in silence for a while Jason debates whether he should ask this but decides to hell with this.

"Hey um, Selina? Mind if I ask you a Question?" Jason's shyly asks, which reminds Selina when he first came to the Manor and was around the other Leaguers whenever they came to Gotham, Clark and Diana especially during his early Robin years.

"You already did kid." Selina smartly responds. Her smirk is seen by Jason, who wants to smirk but can't bring back himself to do it. "What is it?"

"I was wondering when you were gonna tell me about the new Robin?" Selina's face loses almost of its color immediately after Jason asks.

"How did you...?"

"Joker. He thought it was hilarious. I didn't" Jason says, his voice bitter and venomous, making Selina flinch.

"Jason, Tim never replaced you." Jason lets out a scoff at that but Selina ignores him. "When you went missing, Bruce didn't let it show but he was desperate. Jason, Joker left zero evidence and that scared Bruce in ways that I've never seen before. After he sent him the film, Bruce nearly killed Joker next time he saw him and it took me, Clark. Diana and Dick to stop him from killing the sick fuck. I kind of regret it but I'd rather it be some else to kill him."

"Like Oliver or Diana?"

"Bingo. After that, Bruce threw himself out there. Barely sleeping, eating or even going out as just himself. I nearly thought he'd die if it weren't for Tim." Jason expression changes from curious to anger. Selina laughs a bit but at not at Jason but at the memory. A 14-year-old, who had figured out Bruce's identity along with hers, Jason's, Barbara's, Alfred's and Dick's on his own thanks to Dick performing the quadruple flip like it was nothing when Tim was nine and trying to convince Dick to become Robin again but when Dick didn't relent, he try to convince Bruce to make him Robin. Bruce vehemently refused and Selina at the time agreed. In retrospect, Batman needs Robin not for backup but to remind him of why he's fighting to protect his city, to remind he's not just the Bat but a man as well. She tells Jason about how Tim became Robin and the training Bruce put him under. Even Sara and Oliver we're asked to help train him.2

"He's a good kid. Not very talkative but its not because he's shy. It's more observation. In terms of Detective skills, he's almost as good if not more so than Bruce." Selina turns to look at Jason, whose expression is full of anger but has a small bit of thoughtfulness on it . "Jason, Bruce never replaced you. You weren't just his partner, you were his son and when Joker sent him the film, I'd never seen him so broken. Even Alfred admitted than your death hurt Bruce more than his parents ever did." Selina says softly. She places a kiss on Jason's forehead and leaves him so he go back to sleep, squashing down the small part of her that wanted to cuddle withher sonJason.3

So that was rough. Here are the notes:

1. Yup, I'm not gonna give Dick a break for a while but it will be over soon. I hate doing this but a lot of fans like to make Dick the perfect big brother but there have been many times where he has seriously fucked up many times, like sweeping the rug whenever Damian insulted Tim or when he gave Robin to Damian before asking Tim for his permission. I know that Dick was the first but Tim was still the current and deserved a say in that situation.

2. The truth has been revealed. The reason I made the Batman needs a Robin argument is cause we have seen many times that Bruce is quite self destructive. Hell, look at Arkham Origins and how miserable he is in that game. When Dick came into Bruce's life along with Jason and Barbara later on, he became a lot happier then Jason died and Bruce became suicidal until Tim came along and helped heal though he became an abusive ass later on in the comics. Fuck you DC and all the modern Batman writers (yes, even actually good ones like Scott Snyder) for making him into fucking monster thanks beating Jason to a pulp and the whole thing of making Tim believe a dark future was going to happen and made him spy on all his loved ones. He didn't even apologized for it making him even more of an abusive jerk. Part of the reason I began writing this story along with my frustrations with Arkham Knight along with Arrow and a few others DC properties that have been massacred like Black Canary.3. Selina is still denying it. Unfortunately, it will stay that way for a very long while but fear not, it will end, just until around the ending.Hope you enjoyed.
