Chapter 15

Carried Away

Blues' Training Room (No One's POV)

Boomer could feel a chill run through his back as the metal door closed behind him and saw Bubbles sitting in a bean bag chair. Though their area was soft and plushie with the bean bags, blue equipment, and snack area, Bubbles' presence seemed to kill the mood. He wanted to say something, anything; but the words caught in his mouth. Boomer decided it was best to let her cool down and wait for her to come to him. With a kiss to her forehead, Boomer summoned his weapon and made his way to his training grounds. It was surrounded by rubber to keep his electricity within his area and giant rings, bars, and targets were there for him to practice his aim.

"Ok, let's see if I can get you apart." Boomer mumbled while pulling hard on the ends, but of course they didn't want to. "Come on now." He tried repeatedly and sighed throwing it to the ground making the giant boomerang come apart. "Really now?"

"It's toying with you Boomer."

"Huh?"

"Nothing." Bubbles sighed making Boomer open his mouth but close it unsure how to talk to a moody Bubbles. It was extremely rare and honestly, he wished he saw it more often. He loved his happy girlfriend, but he knew she had other emotions than that. Though he did feel like he said the wrong thing at times or maybe it was all in his head?

"Right, time to try an attack…Lightening Boomerang!" But the boomerang shocked him instead of the target he was aiming at. "Come on, we just got to attack the targets and protect the city boomerang."

"I doubt we can."

"The hell?" Boomer said nearly tripping over the chain as he looked to Bubbles. This was definitely serious. "Bubbles are you alright?"

"Of course I am, can't you see my smile." Bubbles smiled and it sent another chill down his back. That smile looked like it could freeze Hell over, and Blossom was the one with the ice breath.

"Come on talk to me, Bubbles." Boomer said while coming over to her and sitting in front of her. "I'm here to listen."

"There is nothing to say."

"Bubbles." Boomer sighed trying to push whatever emotion Bubbles was hiding out.

"Boomer."

"Bubbles, just talk."

"No thank you."

"You aren't going to get it out your system if you don't."

"I'm fine."

"Bubbles, just —"

"Shut up!" she nearly screamed causing their drinking glasses to crack a bit making Bubbles cover her mouth. "Sorry."

"Bubbles, please…" Boomer said while taking her hands and looking into her eyes. "I just want to know how you're feel?"

"I'm…I'm…really tired of this superhero business going the wrong way." Bubbles sighed while balling up her fists into her dress. Boomer couldn't see the expression on her face as he saw her shake a bit, but he assumed she was going to cry. "It wasn't like this at the beginning."

"I know Bubbles, but you are doing a great job holding it altogether." Boomer said while reaching to take her hand, but she quickly got up knocking him backwards from the movement. She looked quite angry, angrier than he had ever seen her, and Boomer honestly thought she could never get this mad.

"You don't get it Boomer! In the beginning it was fun and barely anyone got hurt! Now, loved ones like Taka and my own grandma have suffered so much pain that I can't even think of them without feeling angry and sad!" Bubbles screamed out making Boomer flinched at the name Taka, but decided it was best to let her continue without interruptions. "I believed that my thoughts on being Bubbles wouldn't change, but now I feel like it's a curse to be a hero! I sometimes feel like I want an out, but everyone is going to suffer more if I quit!"

"B-Bubbles…" Boomer mumbled, but bit his tongue holding back on the thoughts that came to mind. Would his words make the situation worse for her?

"I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!"

"Well, this squirt has a mouth on her finally." a male voice echoed while making the blues look around shocked.

"Your child doesn't seem to have one right now." a female voice said making an embarrass blush come across Bubbles' face as she recognizing her white light.

"I-I didn't mean all that I said, white light. I —."

"Don't double back my child, you said what you said, and we are grateful for it."

"However, my squirt hasn't said what he needed to say."

"Huh?" Bubbles turned her eyes onto Boomer who had gotten up from her outburst and looked kind of melancholy.

"I…"

"Come on squirt…where's all that gusto when you told her dad off?" the male chuckled making the blonde boy take a deep breath and look at Bubbles.

"Bubbles, you think I don't understand but I do because I been through it too. I watched my brother nearly die and I watched us get hurt countless of times, but I don't give up because I want to protect everyone. You helped protect so many people and I can't allow you to put yourself down like this. I believe in your abilities, and I hope you are willing to believe in them too."

"Boomer." Bubbles blushed feeling most of her anger melt away.

"Looks like the potential is back." the female said while in a flash of white and gray the blondes were blinded. They rubbed their eyes for a bit and looked around to find themselves in a white area that Bubbles visited before. Their blue eyes landed on two figures who seemed to be waiting patiently for them to recover from the light. The woman had dirty blonde hair that was curled all the way down to her back with white tips that shined as she moved. Her eyes were olive green, and she was draped in a toga with gold and blue ribbons throughout the outfit with a golden leaf crown to complete it. The man that stood next to her had dark green hair in a long ponytail with gray at the top of his hair which seemed to shine white at times. One of his blue eyes was covered with bandages and he wore a dark blue samurai armor with gold to dress the symbols.

"Hey squirts…I'm Homura and that is Akasuki, your lights."

"We been waiting to meet you children for a long time and of course we know it has been a rough path." Akasuki smiled, but the blues could tell the look of gloom in her eyes. "Forgive us for not talking sooner, but over the years your bond with us has gotten stronger."

"That is good to hear." Boomer said while Bubbles only nodded still a bit embarrassed to talk to them. Homura must have noticed though and quickly flicked the girl on the head.

"Hey!" Bubbles said while looking at the gray light.

"Nice, the fire in your eyes is still there. Don't be afraid to let it out from time to time squirt."

"He is right my dear children, holding back on any of your emotions especially the negative ones can make all of us a lot weaker in the eyes of the enemy."

"So, how do we get stronger when we learn to control our emotions?" Bubbles asked watching the lights look at each other and back to them.

"We want you both to bond with us fully." Homura said making the air feel a bit thicker making the blondes a bit nervous.

"Like with Suzu and Takashi." Bubbles whimpered making the lights nod in agreement.

"We were bonded for a short moment child, at the time of your grandma's death. We were able to damage her a lot more because of it, but I need your full acknowledgement for it to actually work." Akasuki said while Bubbles thought about it for a moment. She definitely felt different at the time and wondered why it didn't feel like it afterwards. To fully bond sounded so risky, and Bubbles felt a bit uneasy.

"I believe we should do it Bubbles." Boomer said while getting a shocked look from her. "I doubt you believe they are like Takashi, and I know we can trust them; don't you?"

Bubbles smiled, "You are right, Boomer. We will do it."

"Thank you." Akasuki and Homura said while placing their hands on their chest. Slowly, the beings turned into a gray and white light. The lights flew into the blues' bodies as they felt a warmth surrounding them. "We are one, whitelighters."

"It feels so peaceful." Bubbles said.

"Bubbles, your weapon is tied to your emotions and feels when you aren't letting them out. As I said you have the ability to care for anyone even the cruelest of creatures. That care can be express in all types of ways."

"I see, I will be sure to express myself more Akasuki."

"Boomer, just like Bubbles your weapon is linked to your emotions, but you need to stop holding back just because you think it will hurt someone. You are alive because you are the courage that allows everyone to take on anything even when the going gets tough."

"Really? Well, I definitely can't let them down then." Boomer grinned while their weapons appeared in front of them.

"Good luck, whitelighters." The lights said as the blues took hold of their weapons and the room flashed back into their training area.

"Ready?" Boomer smirked while making his boomerang come apart with ease as Bubbles smiled at him.

"Not really, but I'm going to try my best."

"Good…Lightening Boomerang!" Boomer found himself throwing one side of the boomerang allowing the lightening to course through the chain that was connected. The chain wrapped around the target making the lightening look more painful than his usual attack.

"Well, my turn…Bubbles Champagne!" Bubbles watched as the rush of bubbles surrounded a target making the bigger bubbles go off then the little ones like a chain reaction. Once the damage had been dealt the blues noticed the target was full of holes. "Oh my, hopefully this won't kill anybody."

"Us? Kill someone. Never." Boomer said while giving her a kiss on the cheek making her giggle.

"We should tell the Professor and the others what happened."

"Right." Boomer said while the blonde heroes made their way out of their training areas just as the others did.

"You wouldn't believe what just happened?" they all said at the same time just as the Professor and Ken came rushing down the hallway.

"This data is incredible! You must tell me everything that happened in there!" Professor said while holding a notepad as Ken organized the papers that seemed to have data on it. As each couple told the tale of what happen to them in the training area; they were surprised to learn that they had been in there for three hours instead of an hour. Ken had chalked that up to them getting sent to a different dimension since the data showed the time frame of a huge energy spike, but they couldn't see what was happening.

"So, those lights are bonded with you now?" Ken asked watching the superhero teams nod just as the Professor returned with the Chemical Z beam to check their status. Each of them was scanned and were surprised to see only their color beam with a white or gray glow around it. Their DNA had once again changed, and the Professor looked quite ecstatic.

"This is by far so much more than I could ever dream of and I'm a scientist for a reason." he said while logging everything they discovered into his files. "To learn of these beings and discover a new world is beyond what I could imagine."

"This is something even I wasn't expecting from shooting that iceberg that day." Ken said a bit worried for the people, he had grown quite close to these past years. He hoped that he didn't ruin everything for them. However, the smile he saw on all of their faces said otherwise.

"To think, we all got roped into this and still can smile through it all." Bubbles laughed making the group nod happily.

"Though it has been hard, I don't think I would trade this position with anyone." Blossom said feeling a warmth touch her heart.

"Same here." the boys grinned knowing they wouldn't be alive if the girls hadn't done all of this.

"Hey…I don't see the swirls anymore." Blazze said while looking at Bam who in turned looked at her.

"I don't see them either." Bam said while the rest of the group looked at their counterparts noticing the swirls were gone too.

"We are official white, well gray in our case, lights." Butch smirked while the group cheered in joy as the scientists looked on in hope of a brighter future.

M.B.: Well, well, well, look who's back and ready to work on this baby! Seriously I haven't felt like writing in a long time, but thanks to GoldGuardYT (you should check their work out!) and just a lackluster year (boo virus) I want to work on this.

Honestly, this story and "Love Just Happens" are still my babies that I want to finish and have people enjoy for a long time. Yes, I love my other works, but nothing can compare to how much effort I put into each chapter of these two stories (and this one isn't even finish yet).

Since it has been awhile since I updated this story, I will be changing a few things since I know my writing style has evolved over the years. This story will be in Third Person POV instead of switching like the old chapters/story. I won't say the places as a transition either, but again it will have the same emotions put into it.

Thanks for waiting so long if any of my readers are still here and…review and wait and see X3!
