Ahoy again, welcome to another chapter in this history, as always, I hope you like it.
"Gible is a carnivorous Pokémon, but it have a fondness for the Haban Berry, that there be useful" I said to myself, it was late in the night, and for the first time ever I was spending the night in one of the Poke center rooms, "When they meet someone new the give them an exploratory bite… knowin' that would 'aven useful before" I said while looking at the marks in my right arm, she bit me before arriving to the Poke center, and then she got back to sleep again, anyways, I was reading the book that the Gym leader Lenora gave me, I need to know everything I could about Gible[AXBF1] and its evolution line if I wanted to take good care of her. I took a quick look to see what she was doing, she was still sleeping, I had put her in the bed, I did not plan to use it anyways, I smiled and then went back to reading.
I spent a few hours with that, but learned a lot, so it didn't matter that I could fell asleep any time, well maybe just a little, "I think I should rest fer today" I got up and immediately started to stagger so I sat on the bed "I think I shouldn't 'ave stayed up all night" I said "Well, I'll 'ave to deal with it now" I carefully got up from bed and this time I could stay up, then I looked back to Gible, she was still sleeping, "Rest while ye can lass" I said whispering, "But I can't let ye 'ere so… I'll have to carry ye" I carefully picked up her trying not to wake her up, she moved a bit, but she stayed asleep, "Well lassy, time to continue with our voyage" on my way out I thanked the nurse for the room and then I went to the forest, I felt Gible moving and heard her yawn while slowly opening her eyes, "You be awake lassy?" I said in a low tone to not scare her, she slowly got up and looked at me, directly at the eyes, then she gave me a funny looking smile and then proceed to climb me "I guess ye don't want to walk" I said after she was upon my head, using my hair to avoid falling "Be careful or ye'll make me bald" it hurt a little, but I could handle it, "Ye know what? before ye stay there all day, ye should meet the crew" I called Raichu and Zorua out, "Ok fellas, this here be Gible, the new member o' the family" I said while putting her on the ground, "But be careful, she bites" I said, a little late, because Raichu almost got bitten in the arm again, and even though he dodge it, he acted like he lost his fingers, even though he didn't have fingers in the first place, he acts like a clown sometimes, at least he keep the mood up, that last one is more rare than finding a shiny Pokémon, but one day maybe it will, anyways karma hit early, because just as Raichu finished acting and began laughing, Gible tried to bite him again, and this time his arm didn't got save, "Be careful, ye may lose a finger!" I said, Zorua did not found it funny, but somehow Raichu did.
To avoid any other interaction like that I picked her up, but then a sound came from the bushes, "Stephen, if it be ye again show yerself or I will tell Raichu to Thundershock ye", but I didn't any answer, and I was about to order Raichu to do what I said, but then what was moving on the bushes showed up, and it was a lizard looking Pokémon, a Salazzle, "An Alolan Pokémon, what in Giratina's hell be doin' 'ere?" I said confused "Better watch your language" I heard someone said from behind, I almost fell from the surprise, I turned around to see no other than my mother, "What does everyone 'ave with appearin' from nowhere?" I said, "The fact that i am not around doesn't mean that you can swear" she looked at me with a serious look, I began to feel guilt and regret, but then she just began laughing, "Should saw the look on your face!" then more calmly she said, "Come and give your mother a hug" she said while smiling, I put Gible back over my head and then did what my mom said, "And who are this little cuties?" my mother then said while looking to my Pokémon, then I figured out, the Salazzle was one of my mother Pokémon, and she used them to distract me, so she could sneak behind me, I would be mad if it was Stephen or even dad, but she was my mother, the woman that literally gave me birth, and she is actually the only one that I don't mind if she call me red eyes.
"I see that you have been taking good care of Zorua, that's a good sign" she said while looking at her, "And you managed to catch a Raichu, that's quite impressive" then she got up, "And this little girl right here?" she said while picking up Gible from my head "Carefully, she bites" I said, but I don't know if she didn't heard me, or just didn't care, but the first thing she did was putting her hand in front of Gible, "Mom, I ain't sure if that there be a good idea" I said, "I know what I am doing, and with the bites, you bitted me a lot when you were a baby, I am sure I can handle a bite from her" she said, my mother has always been the kind of person that rarely listen to others advice, the same as my grandfather, and I am probably going for that path too, anyways my mother played with fire for a bit, and while she was doing that I turn to look at the Salazzle, "Mom, be that Pokémon yours?" I asked "Yes, she is one of my Pokémon" she said, "One? do that there means ye 'ave more than one?" I said, "I have, but I won't show you them until the perfect moment" she said "And when will that be" her last response let me with more questions than answers "You will see when the time come" was all she said, I knew that I couldn't get more answers form her when she says something like that, and then the inevitable happened, I looked at my mother only to see her hand was inside Gible's mouth, I almost panicked when I saw that and immediately grabbed Gible, she let go my mother's hand "Mom, are ye fine?" I asked worried "Yes, it's just a scratch, don't worry about it" she said while holding her hand with her other hand "Lassy, could ye stop bitin' people?" I said to the Gible in my hands, but in answer she just looked at me with her shiny round eyes and then in her language said "Gible" in a curious tone, "There's no way I be goin' to get mad at ye, be there?" I said, and like if she understood me, a smile appeared in her face and then climbed back to the top of my head.
"She really trusts in you" my mother said after a while, "Tell me, where were you when the egg hatched?" she asked, "I been 'oldin' the egg when it 'atched, why do ye ask?" just after I said that she began to laugh, "Well, that explains it" she then said "Were you the first thing she saw?" she asked "Yes I be… wait… are ye tellin' that… she thinks that I… be her father?" I asked "It's the most probable answer" my mother respond "I… I do not…. I don't know what to say" I said really confused, scared and a lot more of things "Well, your grandfather probably wanted this to happen" she said "I am the one supposed to put challenge to him dad" I heard her whisper, "Well son, seeing that this is one of your grandfather's challenges, I can't really help you much, but… you know how to contact me?" she asked, "Aye I do" I said "Well, if you need advice, you can ask, I would like to accompany you to the next city, and eve see you fight the gym, but… I have responsibilities, like you have a new one" then she grabbed Salazzle over her shoulder, then climbed a tree, "Take care son" she said before jumping off the tree, but instead of falling to the ground she disappeared "What in Giratina's h…" but I stopped myself, then I indicated Zorua and Raichu to follow me and we continued our walk.
