Hello again everyone, this is the chapter 18 and the direct continuation of the previous chapter, like always, I hope you all like it.
The room was in complete silence, we both were standing without moving waiting for the other one to make the first move, but I got impatient, so I took one of the Poke balls and prepared to call one of my Pokémon to battle, but the gym leader interrupted me. "What, are ye scared?" I said to make him attack first, "No, but I won't fight" he said, "What? Ye said ye took my challenge" he moved his head to indicate I was right, "That's right, but that was before realizing how much you still have to learn" I was confused at this point, "Ye said you would take my brother challenge" I heard Stephen said from behind, "And I am keeping my promise" I was getting more impatient, "Could we begin with this already?" I said to finish the talk and start the fight, "Of course, Skyla come here" I was totally lost, "Excuse me sir, but aren't ye the gym leader?" i said really confused, "Yes I am, but I won't be it forever, and for that reason Skyla will replace me" he said, "Ok, but what does that have to do with me?" I asked trying to understand what was going on, "It's simple, I could easily beat you, but my granddaughter would need to do his best to do it" he said, "So you instead of you battling my brother is going to be Skyla?" Stephen asked, "That is right, so are you ready kid?" the old man asked me, "Fine, but once I finish sweeping the floor with your granddaughter, I want a real battle with you" he nodded in respond, "Sailer, don't be too overconfident"

These words began to repeat in Skyla's grandfather mind.
"Ye hear me, don't be too overconfident" said a tall man with a dark blue uniform that literally screamed Navy Captain, "Ye hear me, Miles? Be careful" the man repeated once again, "Says the man who claims that the Aubreys don't feel fear" the other man, dressed in a big brown pilot jacket whose name seemed to be Miles, "Aye, I know I said that a lot in the past, but that does not means I am not careful" the navy man said "Ernest, you just take care of the ships, and I of the planes" they both ended the conversation and took their own separated ways.

"A Tranquil? Are ye seriously thinking that is going to do well against my Raichu" I said, "Quick Attack!" she yelled so suddenly that it startled me, the attack was so quick Raichu didn't had time to react and got hit, "I see ye like to play rough, Raichu Thunderbolt!" I commanded, the attack got launched against the Tranquil, "Use double team" The bird Pokemon multiplicated and Raichu attack just went through her, "Use Fly Tranquil!" she commanded, the Tranquil flew high up "Prepare fer it lad!" I said, then Tranquil launched herself against Raichu, "Thunderbolt!" Raichu prepared and launched his attack which looked like it was going to impact into Tranquil.

"I need all of you ready for anything the enemy could launch us, we don't have what happened to Mandibuzz squad to repeat, do you all understand?" said an old man to five far younger men, "Sir yes sir!" all the men responded in unison, "Good, now go to your planes and complete your missions" with that said the five men separated and climb into their fighters planes.

A bright filled the room, and then Raichu got launched against the wall, but not only that but the Tranquil fell from the air getting out of combat, "I told ye it was a bad idea" I said with a smug tone, "Check again" she said, I quickly turned around and I saw Raichu out of combat still laying on the wall, "I may have lost one of my Pokémon too, but you lost one with advantage" she said with a smile, I snarled a little but at the same time smiled, let's just say that this battle was turning a little interesting.
I took another Poke ball, "Well lass, get ready fer round two, Lucario fer the win!" I know he had type disadvantage, but the rest of the team except for Zorua has as well, and his steel type would neutralize the super effective damage, "Swoobat I choose you" well, except if she does that, "Physic and flying, good choice, but I'll beat you anyways! Lucario Force Palm!" I yelled and, in a blink, Lucario launched himself against the Swoobat, "Air cutter!" Skyla yelled, the Swoobat launched the air blast, but Lucario was ready for it, and with a high jump landed on top of Swoobat and used his attack which launched the bat Pokémon into the ground, but it had double type advantage, the damage was almost null, "Is that your best attack? Swoobat use Confusion!" the Pokemon launched a blast of physic energy which hit Lucario before I could tell him to move, he received a considerable amount of damage…

A big explosion happened a short distance from a group of fighters, "For Rayquaza that was close" said the one of the pilots from the radio. The planes the men were piloting Biplanes an old type of, but for their era it was the newest technology for their era, "I am surprised that these planes resisted all that movement" another of the pilots said, then a message came from the Radio, "Gentlemen, is good to see you are all fine, I got your reports of the mission and I am glad to hear it was a success, come here and I will congratulate you all myself" the officer said and then ended the call.
The group of fighters was called the Braviary squad, they were the cousin group of the Mandibuzz squad, they both were conformed with the best pilots of the whole Regions Coalition that conformed by some regions.
One of the pilots called back the base to ask for permission to land "Permission granted gentlemen, just let me check the radar… alright, I will have a track for you six before you arrive" Silence filled the air, the only sound being the motors of the planes, "Repeat that!" Miles said very startled, "Calm down, I said I will have a track ready for you six before you arrive" the air traffic controller said really calm, but that were bad news for the five pilots.

"Finish it with Dark Pulse lad!" I said and Lucario began charging the attack, "Air cutter!" Skyla yelled, both attacks crashed, but Lucario's Dark Pulse was stronger and break Swoobat attack and hit her, the attack was super effective and make her fall from the sky, she was out of combat, "Do ye give up now lass?" I said, "This isn't over yet" she said and tried to take a last Poke ball, but her grandfather stopped her, "Wait Skyla, use this one" he said and launched a Poke ball to her, "Are you sure?" she asked, "I wouldn't trust him to anyone else other than you… now teach that little kid some respect!" he said, and then with a smile Skyla looked at me, "Ready for last round?" I retired Lucario from battle, he was about get exhausted, "I am" I said and took Zorua Poke ball and at the same time called out our Pokémon mine being Zorua, and hers a Braviary, and the last round began.

"Evasive maneu…" one of the pilots tried to say before a bullet burst fell on his plane making him fall to the ground, "Who the heck is attacking us?!" one of the pilots said, "I don't know, but that bastard will pay for killing one of us!" another pilot responded and began slowing down to encounter with their attacker, "Be careful" Miles said while giving a quick look behind him, all he could see was a white plane behind them but he to did recognized something else, "It's a Fokker!" Miles said to all the team, "And it's white" he finished, "The White Count…" another pilot answered, "There is no other, gentlemans" a mysterious voice said from the radio, but the pilots knew who could be, "Well gentlemans, I am in good mood so I'll give you the opportunity surrender, you'll have to hang over the planes to my allies, but I promise the rest of you will end up alive" the White Count said over the radio, "So what, you killed one of our friend just for nothing?" Miles answered, "Correction…" then with a sudden move the white plane got behind the plane of the pilot that tried to attack him and shot it down, "…I killed two of your friends" he then finished, "You are a mad man!" other of the pilots said, "If I were a mad man you all would be dead" the Count said coldly, but the pilots were still tree and just one, so they made their move.

"Lass, dodge it!" I screamed before Braviary hit her with Arial Ace, but there was no use, the move couldn't miss, Zorua got hit and the power of it launched her against a wall, "Lass!" I literally screamed, I ran to where she was "Dear Arceus, be ye fine?" I asked her worried, "Is she fine" Skyla asked to me, "What do ye think?" I said, "Sailer!... you know this could happen, no one is guilty" Stephen told me, and he was right, I was about to take Zorua's pokeball to retired her from battle, Lucario couldn't fight so I was going to quit the battle, but Zorua stopped me, "Zoru!" she said, "Lass ye be really harm, ye can't continue fighting" I said, but she didn't cared an began walking towards the battle field I was going to try stop her, but I knew she wasn't going to give up, "Alright lass, let's finish this" then I looked to Skyla, "I am in good mood so I'll give you the opportunity to surrender"

Miles's mind got back to the past.
"I gave you all the opportunity, but you rejected it, you'll pay for it now" the plan of the three pilots was to take him in group, but that didn't end up well, and the first one to get shot down was him, his plane got penetrated by multiple bullets, some of theme hitting the motor, and it made him fall, but before crashing into the ground he jumped out of the planed a grabbed the branches of a nearby tree, managing to save his life, then he looked to the sky and saw horrified how his two only remaining friends suffer the same fate as the others, and from the smoke and fire, the white triplane crossed the sky, leaving him as the only survivor…

Zorua looked like she was about to fall, but keep standing up, "Lass, let's show that coward bird who is really brave!" I said to motivate her, "Braviary! Let's finish this with Slash!" Skyla said and then the bird Pokémon launched himself against Zorua "Use Foul Play!" Braviary was about to get to close for Zorua to dodge it, but she wasn't planning in dodging, surprising all of us Zorua began glowing while jumping and her size increased, the hair on her head began growing, and her little paws began looking more like legs and arms, then with a quick movement she grabbed one of Braviary legs, and when the light went off I saw she better, she no longer was a small Zorua, now she was a Zoroark, and by the smirk on her face while she grabbed Braviary arm, she was not going to lose.
Zoroark grabbed the other Braviary leg and spined around to take impulse and then launched Braviary against a wall like he did to her just moments ago, the crash was spectacular, like a fighter plane after being shoot down, but I knew it was still able to fight, "Finish it with Feint attack!" Zoroark jumped against Braviary and then with a hit knocked out Braviary, he was out of combat, we just won the battle, but before began to celebrate I ran to Zoroark, she looked like she was going to faint at any second, "Ye did great lass" I told her while helping her to stand up, she answered licking my face, covering it with saliva, "That was a great battle" Skyla told me, "I'll have to admit it, that was far more difficult than I expected, ye have a bright future as a gym leader" I said, "So you'll still want that battle with my grandfather?" she then asked, "You be joking, if one of his Pokémon is that strong I don't want to see the rest" she laughed at my commentary, then his grandfather followed by Stephen walked towards us, "You win the battle, and that means this is yours" Miles said while handing me over the badge, "Really thanks, Sailer, I am proud of ye, but now, Miles and I have some things to do, so you two don't get in trouble" then they both leaved the room.
With Skyla help to avoid getting lost on my way back to the Poke center I handed over my Pokémon to the nurse so they could get recover, "What do you think they are doing" Skyla asked to me after I gave my Pokémon to the nurse, "I have no idea, but knowing my brother, it could be anything, but probably nothing to dangerous" but how wrong I was.
Well this is chapter 18, a really long chapter for what I am used to, and I wrote it on record time, well, I'll like to say from here the story will become more interesting, but I don't want that to backshot like happened to Williams, who will appear in the near future, so no, I haven't forget about Sailer's military friend, see you all next chapter.
