Hello again everyone, here I have the weekly chapter, like always, hope you like it.
"Arceus this be bad" a notable tone of worry could be heard from the human voice, he desperately tried to open the Lycanroc mouth to free Lucario's arm, but the rock type didn't had any intentions to open his mouth, so Sailer had to think in something else, "Zoroark, I need ye to go bring Raichu and Servine here" the dark type Pokémon quickly entered the forest and disappeared between the bushes, "Lassy, I need ye to go find some berries" the dragon type only looked at his trainer, "Berries" then Sailer made some mimic to help Gible understand him better, she seemed to understand the message and began looking around, "What would Stephen do?" that question began repeating on his head over and over.
But let's leave Sailer and his thoughts aside for a moment and focus on something else, but for that we will need to give a look to the past, to an insignificant moment for most of us, but a vital part of the Lycanroc life, the day of his birth.
We travel to the Alola region, which island, is a mystery. Inside of the forest there was a cave, inside that cave there were three eggs, and suddenly they began glowing, and from them, three little Rockruff emerged, full of life and with a life ahead, but not a long one for all of them, nature is a cruel mother, she can grow life from the most unexpected places, but she can also take it away, and that was what happened to the Lycanroc siblings, their birthday, was during the hunt season, an nowadays abandoned sport, so by the hands of a human, the poor Rockruff not only lost his siblings, but his father as well, he would have shared the same fate with them if it wasn't for his mother, the last member of his family, she was a midnight Lycanroc, his father was a Midday form, but that doesn't matter now, and neither did at that time.
For many days the young Rockruff wandered through the forest with his mother on, it looked like life was finally going to be peaceful for them, but the destiny had other plans, one night they were looking for food and got really close to a human village, the mother tried to kept distance, but the young Pokémon couldn't resist the different smells from the village, and slowly began getting closer, when the mother realized it was too late, the Rockruff was already in the middle of the village, and if entered the place the humans were going to definitely see her, and that would put her pup in danger, all she could do was hoping for the best.
Rockruff began wandering around the place, there were a few persons there, but almost none of them paid attention to him, the young Pokémon began looking around for something to eat, he began smelling the floor looking for the smell of food, but by doing this he got even more close to the center of the village, that put the mother even more nervous, she hesitated in just running to the middle of the village, pick up her pup and get out of there as fast as she could, and for a while she considered that option, but then a large group of humans began appearing from everywhere, some were there by mere causality, but there were a few that came for the young Rockruff, 3 men began getting dangerously close to the Pokémon, and if his mother was already upset, now she didn't care if the humans could do something to her, the only thing she cared about now was protecting her pup, so when the 3 men got really close to the Rockruff she ran as fast as she could and stood between the men and his son this made a lot of people there stop, Lycanrocs were common there, but the night form rarely appeared in the village, "Something tells me that this one isn't the one that escaped" one of the men said, "The pup isn't, that is right, but the big one, my dad told showed me a photo, and that one looks exactly like this lost Pokémon" the other responded, "How can you tell, they all look the same" the third of the men responded, "The look she is giving to us, I only saw that look once, and was in that photo, it has to be her".
The three men then tried to pick up the mother, but she responded launching bites against them, but that distracted her, so suddenly the men that recognized her moved behind her, she tried to turn around, but she was trapped now, "I'll take care of her, you bring the pup" the men carried the two Pokémon out of there, and back to the forest, they walked through a long path, the sun began to hide, the night began to rise, and in the distance a bright light indicated the way, and after walking for a while, a cabin in the woods appeared, "Put the Rockruff with the others, I will go to see dad" the mam carrying the mother was the taller of the three, he wear a brown jacket and a broad-brimmed hat of the same color, he entered the cabin, the other two men that wear hunting jackets carried the young Pokémon to an smaller cabin, when they got there a group of Rockruff appeared from inside the cabin, they all looked happy and excited, "Hello you all little demons, I brought you a new friend" then the man put the Rockruff inside the cage, all the Rockruff there surrounded the newcomer and began to smell him tying to get information of him.
While the young Pokémon was meting his new pack, the mother was carried inside the house, if she wasn't trying to free herself, she would have recognized the place, because some time ago, she lived there, those men were breeders and hunters, they specialty, training Lycanrocs to be used for hunting, but the thing is, between the midnight and the midday form, the hunters will pick the midday form, because they are used to hunting in packs, while the midnight form do it alone, and to summarize the mother story, she was once living in that place, she was gave to in that moment young boy, son of the in that moment owner of the place, one day the boy got in trouble, and the mother, that in those times was a simple Rockruff intervened to protect him, and that caused her to evolve, but during night, so evolved into the midnight form, this both filled with joy and broke the young kid heart, because when a Rockruff evolves into the midnight form, there is only one thing to do, scarify it, but the father of the now father, the grand father of the three men couldn't do it, she just saved his son, and they were too attached, they could have keep her, but there was a reputation to maintain, so he freed her into the wild, after that she did what she had to survive, and ended up having the little Rockruff.
She got carried to an oddly familiar room, she kept struggling to free herself, but then she detected an even familiar smell, in front of her was a bed, and lying in it was an old man, someone on his last days, she recognized him and immediately ran to where he was, her tail moving as fast as it ever did, "I'm glad to see you again old friend" …
The now reunited owner and pet passed the days together, until the human passed away, she would wanted to follow him to the other side, but there was still someone that needed her, she and her pup lived in the breeder for quite a long time, the mother had a peaceful life, while the son grew in a place where he was the stronger of all, this made him a bully, and became very aggressive against Pokémon, and later people, he thought that her mother would be proud of him, and in the past she would have, but now that she came back to that life, she didn't liked that her son caused trouble, and numerous occasions she tried to teach him how to act, but before he could really learn, his mother, the only living thing that really cared for him, died, leaving the poor Rockruff alone, by that time the sons had their own sons, and one of them was given the now not that young Rockruff to the older of them and those as you probably guessed were the guys in the forest, their family send them to Unova to get studies, but they did everything but that.
Rockruff got use by his "owners" for Pokémon Battle, but not kind of Pokémon battle we know, it was a battle to the death, and he was good at it, the battle were at night so when he evolved he became midnight form, they would have continued with their illegal battles, but all of that was stooped for the Unovan army, for that reason they went to that forest that night and happened what we all know, so getting back to the main story Lycanroc hold firm Lucario's arm until he looked up, and saw Sailer in the eyes, Sailer eye's are bright red like the rest of his mother's family, this made Lycanroc remember for a moment his mother, and accidentally released Lucario's arm, "Are ye fine lad?" Sailer asked to Lucario, he answered nodding, he was on top of Lycanroc so he couldn't get away, then from the trees Zororak followed by Raichu and Sevine arrived Gible returned too carrying some berried with her, Sailer took one and give it to Lucario, now he was wondering what he should do now, and in some way, Lycanroc did too.
Well, this was chapter 21, it's actually a reference to the first book I enjoyed reading, anyways, hope you liked it and what will happen with the Lycanroc will be see in the next chapter, see you all next time.
