A song of the heart

Sleep came so easily to Vivo as he settled down in his suitcase bed and curled into a ball-shape.

His slumber was as deep as the sea and, although it was bright outside from the sunlight that streamed through the window and curtains, and he tried his best to ignore the bright sunlight yet found that he had no other option but to use his hat to cover his eyes and then closing them as he breathed in and out slowly and deeply.

He laid his head on the pillow and curled up into a little orange ball.

He started to snore softly and his dreams carried him off into a land of music and fun.

The colours were vibrant and it was enough to make him want to dance and sing…however, there was something else niggling in the back of his head that interfered with his pleasant musical dreams. It was something familiar, he didn't know whether or not he dreamed it up because of the thoughts he had earlier about him being one of a kind but it was definitely something that promised to shake him to his very core.

Vivo found himself somewhere very high up….like a tree?

He could see so many colours like green and yellow and many other shades that actually made him think of a rainforest.

The deciduous trees created an up top canopy of green as far as the eye could see which helped a lot with shielding him from the sight of airborne prey but that didn't stop him from feeling the warmth of the midday sun on his back and really tall trees (just like the one acting as his cradle) were everywhere, providing some shelter from the hot sun overhead. He could see vines and foliage in a lot of places while the ground far below was naught but dirt, little grass, rocks, pebbles and and leaf remnants.

The sounds of the rainforest filled his ears —he picked up distant bird calls, a soft breeze causing the tree canopies to rustle and rattle coupled with the sound mimicking the soft cacophony of wooden wind chimes.

His vision was a bit blurry so the world was so much bigger then what he was used to and his brain was full of questions:

Where was he?

How did he get here?

Why was his vision so blurry?

Why was his stomach so empty?

Why did he feel so lonely?

What was happening right now?

And why was he in a tree?

He didn't know what was going on but there was something oddly…nostalgic about this experience, maybe even reminiscent. He couldn't begin to explain but he felt like he had lived this lifetime before but he couldn't remember ever being here…or at least, he wasn't old enough to remember being somewhere like this.

He looked down at himself and it took a second to notice that he was tiny, like really tiny.

Then his eyes looked back up and peered around to try and find someone, anyone, maybe someone like him?

But unfortunately there was nobody around.

A quick investigation of his other surroundings showed that there was nobody occupying the same space as him and it made his fear and upset heighten tenfold as he felt his limbs, tail included, begin to harden and tremble as fear started to build up in his mind, stomach and heart while his big and innocent eyes started to stick to the same empty space for reasons not even he could deduce.

Where was his mama?

He had some vague recollection of her but he didn't know what happened.

He could remember how beautiful her eyes were, how they were the same colour as honey, and she had the most beautiful voice he had heard anyone sing with —he knew this because he knew how she loved to sing him to sleep a lot but he didn't remember what songs she'd sing. Her fur was so warm and soft.

Maybe she got killed by a predator?

Either way, Vivo knew that he was alone and scared.

He gave a tiny squeak as he rubbed his tiny eyes (whether to rid them of tears or sleep, he didn't know) and finally willed his tiny arms and legs to move as he walked clumsily across the tree trunk he lay atop of, cooing and gurgling softly as he made his way across. His tiny steps were clumsy and unsteady as he almost fell right off the side a couple times. He eventually made it across to another tree — it was a relief he didn't fall since he didn't want to wind up on the ground far below, that would give the "down would come baby, cradle and all" phrase of a certain lullaby a new meaning he wasn't too keen on knowing.

His eyes searching frantically for his mother or anyone who could help him.

But (again) he was all alone.

He whimpered, his eyes beginning to fill with tears.

His young heart was full of ache and sorrow as he was lonesome and just wanted someone to hold him and tell him that everything was going to be okay, it felt as though his saddened little heart was being packed with lead and this made it grow heavier and heavier in his tiny chest. He had no clue as to why he was all alone but he didn't want to be!

Despite being at the young and delicate age of just mustering the concept of speech, he didn't want to be all on his own!

He gave another squeak in hopes of someone coming but there was little change to his predicament.

The small Kinkajou kept walking along the treetops, calling out continuously, hoping either his mother or someone else would find him if he kept going. Once again the wind stirred the branches which almost succeeded in blowing the baby Kinkajou off of the tree trunks and making him tumble towards the ground far below, Vivo clung on desperately to the branch as if it were his lifeline to avoid the wind blowing him off and towards the ground below, flinching against the gust of wind.

The branch stabilised again when the breeze ceased blowing and Vivo worriedly peered over the edge of the branch he perched on and glanced down below him, eliciting a worried chirp from him…but this time, instead of finding more ground down below, he saw something else which chased away ninety percent of his fear and replaced it with curiosity:

He didn't know it but apparently Vivo had made it to the outskirts of the rainforest because he had found this big beast made of metal that had four round feet made of black rubber and looked sort of square-ish. It had two lights for eyes and a (not very put together) well metal fence on its back to contain a few boxes made out of wood.

Vivo's young mind didn't know what this was but there was something else that attracted him to it and it was then when he remembered that his mother also used to give him tiny bits of mango slices as a treat, seeing as she knew that those were his favourite fruit.

Why did he remember that?

It was because he was sure he could smell mangoes coming from one of those big wooden boxes, as well as an assortment of other fruit!

Vivo wanted to continue looking for his mama and his troop but that was when his stomach decided to clench painfully and then growl in protest to remind him that it had been awhile since he had last eaten anything. The tiny Kinkajou looked down at his tummy and quickly placed a tiny hand on it in hopes of silencing its grumbles and gurgles.

Suddenly those mangoes sounded even more yummy right about now…

Little Vivo's tiny pink nose sniffed the air, definitely discerning the mangoes being intermingled with the scents of guavas and avocados; due to the fruits being so close together (which the baby Kinkajou found most odd) it was hard to pick out one fruit or another but he managed it and decided to eat his fill and then continue his search.

But maybe he'll find his family picking mangoes for him?

Maybe this would lead him to his mama?

"Mmmma?" The tiny Kinkajou uttered, following the sweet scent.

It turned out that whatever forces that be were supporting his endeavours, however, because that was when a final yet particularly strong gust of wind swept him off of his tiny feet (literally) and he tumbled right off the branch he was standing on and fell on to the back of the "monster" (which he'd later find out was a shipping van).

Baby Vivo was dribbling thanks to the sweet smell of mangoes and other such fruit permeating the air and making his tiny tummy grumble and ache with hunger. He hopped into what he would later call a shipping crate and grabbed hold of a mango and took several little hungry nibbles into the fruit.

Each bite he took of the fruit created some mush that he chewed in his tiny mouth and he chewed it until it became a juiceless pulp which then he swallowed so he could take more bites and do the same thing, his hunger being satisfied for the time being.

Once he had his fill, the baby Kinkajou decided to get out of the box and see if he could continue his search…but fate had other plans.

Before he could even move, he heard several voices along with footsteps yet the voices were not animal voices —they were human voices. Little Vivo stiffened upon hearing them and his mind worked faster than his legs could because all of a sudden his world became darkened when a loud slam of the box lid sounded aloud. The lid was slammed on top of the crate itself with little Vivo trapped inside.

It was so dark and he couldn't get out!

He was trapped!

Vivo squeaked in alarm and then started to cry in fear.

"MMMMA! MMMMA-MMMMA!"

But his cries for his mama went unheard as the monster roared to life and, all of a sudden, everything started to move and vibrate.

The roaring sounds were dreadful and were way too loud on his tiny ears.

He started to shake and cry as fear took hold of him; he didn't know what was going to happen to him now but what he did know was that he was at this "monster's" mercy and he was so scared of what would happen to him when all was said and done.

He just wanted his mama back…

The roars and loud sounds frightened the tiny orange fuzz ball and all the moving had made it difficult for little Vivo to even stand anymore as he fell over with his only comfort being the mangoes he was trapped with…and the very faint lullabies of his mother that she would sing for him.

With nothing left to do, he curled up into a ball and fell asleep.

Vivo's eyes snapped open.

He sat up in alarm and shock, bolting into a sitting up position before his mind could truly comprehend what had happened. It also dawned on him that what he had just seen had to have been how he wound up in that crate when he first met Andrés when he was a very small baby. His heart was in his throat and he felt as a damp yet cool sweat oozed from his pores.

He looked around to find himself back in Gabi's bedroom and a wave of relief washed over him.

"Uggghhh…" He stretched while yawning, his mouth stretching wide open as he recollected his thoughts. "How long was I asleep?"

He tried to shove that dream he just had out of his mind —why did he even have it? He knew that his mind temporarily flew to him being one of a kind before fully succumbing to a morning nap so could that have influenced his dream? He couldn't help but be curious, though, as he had just had a memory of when he was a baby before he came to find Andrés…or, rather, Andrés came to find him.

What could that have meant?

He knew that he fell out of a shipping crate as a baby, he didn't wish to linger on this memory.

So why did his brain want to show him that?

In his view, he was content with simply knowing that whatever had happened had led to him encountering Andrés and the two had been the best of friends ever since.

He needn't be bothered with having behind-the-scenes knowledge.

The Kinkajou removed his prized hat from his eyes and plopped it back where it belonged to perch on his head as he rolled over to lay on his side to take a brief peak over at the clock on Gabi's bedside table and saw that the time was 2:35. His eyes almost bulged out of his head when he realised that he had slept through a majority of the afternoon and didn't have long left to wait until Gabi came home from school!

The Kinkajou's body felt heavy and his limbs felt as though they had been twisted and turned, causing his body to ache, and he supposed that he must have slept wrong.

"Oh! I've gotta get ready to greet Gabi when she comes home from school!" He exclaimed.

He leapt out of bed, throwing his blanket aside, and started towards the bedroom door. He climbed up the pine door and used his tail to hook on to the doorknob and swung it open so he could make an exit and rejoin his family since he had been asleep. The second the door opened, the Kinkajou dropped to the floor below and made his way through the house to go and search for something to do while he awaited his partner's return.

The house was quiet but, with Gabi soon to be home, the lazy atmosphere was very likely to pick up soon.

Vivo heard the sounds of movement in the kitchen and he hazarded a guess that Gabi's mother was beginning the preparations for cooking that nights dinner while her boyfriend, Esteban, sat at the table doing something with a calculator that Vivo didn't exactly get. The couple worked together like clockwork and they worked so well together that they were almost a fantastic match —it almost made Vivo a tad jealous.

The Kinkajou made his way into the kitchen and his suspicions were proven correct when he saw Rosa standing in front of the kitchen counter, chopping up carrots, while Esteban was doing whatever it was he did on his little calculator.

He gave a loud chirp to announce his presence and Rosa looked up from what she was doing and smiled down at him.

"Ahh, Vivo! You finally woke up. Did you have a nice nap?"

Vivo's eyes expressed how troubled he was about his dream yet he nodded whilst he let out a cute sound that sounded as if he was saying "Uh-huh".

He jumped up on to the table, landing beside Esteban's huge stack of papers along with his calculator and he tilted his head to one side as if to question what they were both doing; it was a look that Rosa caught on to and understood. Her voice was light and conversational as she resumed chopping the carrots for the family dinner.

"I'm just making dinner and Esteban is working out our finances, hopefully Gabi will enjoy the stew I'm making tonight."

Vivo would have been lying if he said that the mere thought of Rosa's cooking didn't whet his appetite. His mouth immediately started to water whilst he felt his stomach gnaw at itself due to how empty it was and he was fairly sure that he was experiencing some unpleasant hunger pangs due to not eating anything since breakfast. Nevertheless, he kept telling himself to hold on until Gabi returned from school because hopefully she had something he could snack on in the meantime.

She loved to share her snacks with Vivo after a long day at school sometimes.

But he shoved his thoughts aside when he noticed that there was this strange air that accumulated around Esteban —it was as if a dark storm cloud was looming over him and making him have this depressed air about him. The Kinkajou could basically smell the sad feelings coming off of him. He eventually slammed his calculator down on the table (not too hard, he didn't want to break it) and, without warning, he got up and exited the kitchen to go into a different room.

Vivo followed.

The new man in the house shuffled off into the bedroom both he and Rosa shared for the time being; Vivo discovered him sat on the edge of the bed with his head buried in his hands, he scrubbed his face with his palms while he apparently gave a forlorn expression.

"Huuuuuh…" The man let out a lengthy melancholic sigh.

He didn't even notice Vivo's presence until he felt a small weight climb up his arm and plop himself down to sit on his left shoulder.

Needless to say, Esteban startled when he saw the hat and neckerchief-wearing Kinkajou.

"Gah!" He cried out, almost knocking Vivo off and sending him tumbling to the floor below, but he recovered himself just in the nick of time to avoid any catastrophic injuries or accidents. His eyes were bugging out of his head and he reared back like a panic horse until he calmed down and facepalmed his own face.

"Vivo…you should've warned me before climbing on my shoulder, if you got hurt then Gabi would hate me even more then she already does." He snipped.

Vivo blinked.

"She doesn't hate you, what're you talking about?"

Reading the confusion on the Kinkajou's face, he decided to answer his not-understood inquiry—even though, admittedly, he felt really embarrassed to be talking to an animal like this but he knew that Rosa was biased here because Gabi was her daughter and she already assured him that Gabi would warm up to him before long, but he wasn't entirely sure if he could believe that.

He hung and then shook his head.

"Don't think I haven't noticed how she acts towards me. She doesn't like me, it's plain and simple."

Vivo frowned. Of course he noticed the chilly reception Esteban always gets from Gabi, it was as plain as the little pink nose on his face, and it always left a really awkward tension behind; it was a tension so thick that one could cut it with a knife, a knife slicing through a melting stick of butter that had just been in a microwave.

Esteban continued.

"I'm not Gabi's father. I know I'm not. But I just want her to like me and not think that I'm trying to take her father's spot and replace him…I just don't like the idea of her shutting me out like this. Carlos seemed like a great man so I think I owe it to him to help take care of her, just like you are in a way."

Vivo looked down and thought about it as he had never thought of it that way but he supposed that he did look after Gabi in some way or another; he even tucked the blankets around her at night when she fell asleep. But they were partners and best friends and he always took great pleasure in doing his part and helping look after his friends.

The Kinkajou placed a thoughtful hand to his chin as he pondered on this predicament.

He could tell that Esteban was a really nice guy and it was easy to tell that he fell hard for Rosa and really cared about Gabi and how it must have been tearing him up inside to know that she didn't want to touch him with a nine foot pole due to her own fears. He could see how much it hurt to see Gabi push him away and it briefly reminded him of how Andrés must have felt on his last night alive while trying to get him (Vivo) to stop pouting before the trip to Miami.

He couldn't live with himself if that happened to someone as sweet as Gabi.

That was when an idea struck him like a bolt of lightning.

Vivo smiled to himself for a moment, looked back over to a still-sad Esteban and squeaked out to gain his attention.

The man raised his head and looked at the kinkajou with surprised bewilderment which turned into confusion when he saw the orange and purple mammal nudge his head in a certain direction before heading in a certain direction, clearly signalling the man to follow him.

The two males of the house exited the master bedroom, crossed through the kitchen and then into the sitting room.

Vivo led the man further into the sitting room and then leapt up and perched on to a desktop, right next to where the photographs of both Andrés and Gabi's father stood. This was the very same photo of when Gabi's father, Carlos, was playing with a younger Gabi. The two were obviously playing as young Gabi was perched on her father's shoulders and holding a pair of drumsticks while her father had a pair of drum sticks up his nose.

The kinkajou turned to face the man and waited until he was close enough to look.

Esteban peered closely at the picture frame before looking at Vivo and then back to the picture again.

"Ummm…" The man hummed thoughtfully. "You think I should shove drumsticks up my nose?"

Vivo proceeded to let out a sigh of exasperation and slapped his own forehead, grinding his fangs and letting out an annoyed chirp.

No!

That's not it!

He didn't expect this suggestion to be so difficult…

He straightened his own posture out, sitting down on the surface of the desktop with his tail coiled around his own legs, and he mimed holding something in both hands and started to pretend he was tapping the two pretend objects against the surface of the table.

Esteban watched as the orange fuzzy mammal mimed for what felt like an eternity before the answer sparked in his mind.

"Wait, are you saying that I should drum with her?"

Vivo smiled and nodded vigorously, triumphed that he finally got the message across.

"B-B-But I don't have any musical talent whatsoever!"

"Neither did Gabi at first but that didn't stop her…" Vivo deadpanned. "Look, if you aren't comfortable then maybe she could teach you?"

He knew that the man couldn't understand him and more than likely only heard cute squeaks coming from him but he hoped that his expression would convey everything he needed to say. He was happy to be helping but, at the same time, there were certain times he just wanted to kick something in frustration and that was even worse when he first met Gabi when she was way more impulsive.

It wasn't fun that the people around Vivo couldn't understand him.

Esteban fidgeted where he stood, uncertain and hesitant.

"Errrm…you sure there isn't anything else we can do?"

Vivo glared, exasperated.

"Look. The way through Gabi's heart is music so if you want to start building a relationship with her then you need to put those doubts aside and step into her headspace for a bit."

The Kinkajou knew that Esteban or any other human understood a word of what he was saying but he felt it was a necessary thing to say nevertheless; back when Andrés was still alive, despite not being able to speak the same language, they understood each other in a way that only best friends could, they even understood each other's musical phrases. Gabi was still getting the hang of understanding him since she tended to misunderstand him saying "I need space" and confuse it for "smother me with all your love this instant".

He didn't mind the attention nor the scratches behind the ear but some assurance that he was listened to would have been nice.

The grown man still seemed rather unsure as he started to say something but, before he could even open his mouth, the sound of the door slamming open promptly followed by an announcement of "I'm home!" had pretty much ended the conversation completely.

Gabi skipped through the door merrily, her bag slung over her shoulder and her face as bright as the sun on a magnificent summer midday. She looked beyond thrilled as she crossed the threshold of the doorway and immediately let out an exhausted sigh of relief and her posture dropped like a sack of rocks in a lake. She must have worked hard at school because she looked exhausted.

She wiped her brow.

"Phew." She exhaled "School days finished!"

"How was your day at school, Gabriella?"

"It was great!"

Gabi's eyes lit up as she merrily bounded into the kitchen to go and greet her mother.

The mother/daughter pair began to converse about the day that the latter had and how she had a lot of fun at school and how she got high praise from the musical teacher for her growing musical talents and how he had even stopped by to see one of her and Vivo's shows. The teacher was especially impressed about Vivo.

Actually, there was one point where everyone was asking about Vivo and Gabi had made a few attempts to smuggle the Kinkajou into the school premises via her gross backpack but Rosa caught her at it and gave her a stern warning.

Anyways, the two talked for some time before Gabi asked her mother.

"What's for dinner?"

Rosa used her eyes to gesture to the pot she was stirring in with a wooden kitchen spoon.

"We will be having stew tonight."

Gabi licked her lips as she bounced excitedly on the spot, clearly thrilled over the prospect of eating a delicious meal made by her mother. Her eyes were as bright as stars as this point and she couldn't stop herself from giggling whilst using one hand to rub at her own grumbly tummy.

"Ooooh! I can't wait-" She laughed happily.

Then Gabi looked down and saw that Vivo had scampered up to meet her, squeaking delightedly all the way.

"Vivo!" She cried, reaching down and scooping the Kinkajou up by the underarms and hugging him close.

Vivo sighed contentedly as he nuzzled himself deeper into the snuggle.

And then…!

BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG!

Everyone stopped whatever they were doing and perked their heads up after hearing someone knocking on the door…hard.

Gabi, Rosa, Esteban and even Vivo all frowned as the pleasantness was sucked right out of the atmosphere and their eyes went wide as they all tried to figure out who could be knocking on the door. Nobody was expecting any visitors so this was really unexpected. After sending confused glances at one another, their gazes turned back to the front door and Rosa decided to momentarily abandon her cooking to answer the knocks.

Rosa wiped her hands on a nearby towel before walking over to the front door and opened it.

"Hello, is this the Hernández residence?" Asked an icy cold feminine voice.

Rosa answered. "This is. Who are you?"

"Who I am doesn't matter right now, I have come with a message for a miss "Gabriella" and her pet Kinkajou, Vivo."

Rosa felt an uneasy chill ride up and down her spine after hearing that and part of her just wanted to turn that woman around and kick her so hard that her entire body bruised before she would even land on the asphalt. Her eyes hardened into a steely glare but she decided to allow the woman entry because, as much as she hated to admit it, she was curious about this message.

She stepped aside and said shortly "Alright. Come in."

The woman did so.

Rosa cast a vicious look to the woman.

"But put one foot out of line and you will be out of this house so fast that you won't know what hit you…"

Either the woman didn't hear the threat or she was actively ignoring her, either which, the woman didn't respond to the mother's scorn. She entered the house and immediately made her way into the kitchen where she seated herself on a seat and didn't even seem to care as she was followed by a hyperactive twelve-year-old.

Gabi wore a huge beaming smile as she bounced on her feet enthusiastically.

"Oh…my…gosh! You look like you've just stepped out of a spy or secret agent movie! You're a secret agent or spy, aren't you?! This is so-"

The girl was promptly cut off by a sharp glare from the woman and she decided to be quiet and sit down at the table across from her, Vivo riding her shoulder now —all he could do was glare at the woman, his orange fur bristling, as he didn't want anyone speaking to Gabi in such a harsh manner.

The woman cleared her throat and focused her gaze on Gabi.

"So you must be Gabi and that rodent on your shoulder is the one and only Vivo?" Asked the woman.

Gabi settled down and nodded, Vivo nodding right along with her…although he really didn't appreciate being called a rodent.

By now, both Rosa and Esteban had decided to join in on the conversation as they also started to take a seat at the currently-empty dinner table. Their demeanours were serious and no longer as carefree and jovial as they were before and they seemed to have their eyes trained on the woman and it if the strange woman was the least bit intimidated then she did a great job not showing it.

The woman sat at the table with her eyes cold and impersonal, despite the sunglasses she wore.

She said nothing at first as she produced a piece of paper from somewhere behind her and slid it over to Gabi whom snatched it up whilst Vivo leaned in to read it too.

"I have come with an invitation for you. Since you have ties with Marta Sandoval, it has been requested that you and that animal perform in a special concert that takes place in Las Vegas; it's a concert that starts in a week and about approximately a thousand people will be in attendance. You and your family will be flown there by plane and will stay in a luxury hotel until the time of the concert which takes place in less then a week."

Vivo didn't exactly like being referred to as "that animal" nor did he much like being treated as if he wasn't even in the room despite himself being the main topic of the conversation.

Gabi's face had turned from serious into outright "barely-able-to-hold-in-her-explosive-excitement" joy. Her eyes enlarged and she couldn't stop giggling as she read the letter she clasped in both hands while also making it so the Kinkajou perching on her shoulder could see it too.

Gabi's mother spoke up while she snatched the note out of her daughter's hands and started to read it too.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait." She cut in with a knife-sharp tongue "Las Vegas? A concert!? We really should discuss this as we can't just leave on such short notice!"

The woman ignored Rosa's protests and kept her piercing gaze on the twelve-year-old girl and the Kinkajou still perched on her shoulder. The musical duo just stared right back at the woman with the same intensity she was showing them and they both found the prospect of playing in a concert rather scary but also really exciting.

Gabi and Vivo nodded at one another in agreement.

This could be an opportunity they can't afford to pass on.

Gabi turned to her mother and placed a hand of reassurance on her shoulder, her mother jerking when she felt her daughter's hand lay there and stared at her incredulously.

"Mum," Gabi started "this could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity…"

"Gabriella, you are too young to do something as big as this! I'm going to have to say no!"

"Pleeeeeeeeaaase?" Gabi pleaded whilst pouring on the puppy dog eyes "Mum, I'm begging you."

Rosa really wanted to stand her ground on this but her resistance was starting to melt; ever since they saw Marta's final concert, the two had become closer and their relationship with music itself was much better. Gabi's mother knew she could trust her daughter…not to mention it was about to be officially summer anyways. And maybe, if this was successful, she could use the money to better save for Gabi's future…?

She sighed to herself and reluctantly smiled at Gabi.

"Okay, okay, we'll go. But we're going to have a conversation about what to do."

Gabi squealed in delight, making Vivo cringe due to her shrieking right in his ear, and lunged at her mother and wrapped both arms tightly around her in pure gratitude. She kept mumbling "thank you" over and over and over again as she expressed her clear gratitude that her mother was giving the situation a try.

The woman didn't seem phased by any of this and just gave a set of instructions.

"You have until tomorrow afternoon to pack up your things and leave for the plane, we've taken care of everything else already."

It was after the lady established some other additional things that the family needed to know of their upcoming trip that she finally headed out the door without so much as a goodbye or bidding the family a farewell; quite honestly it sounded as though she knew she had better stuff to do then all of this. She seemed rather nonchalant as she left the house to do whatever else she needed to do.

After she left, everyone just stared at one another in pure disbelief.

Did that all just happen!?

Vivo swallowed hard as the reality of the situation hit him with the same force as a ton of bricks, the realisation was so intense that he almost fainted right then and there.

Nevertheless, he was both excited and terrified at the same time.

"We're going to Las Vegas tomorrow…"

A/N: Here's the third chapter and not only does the invitation arrive as well as Vivo has a dream or flashback about how he wound up in that crate before Andrés saved him. Will we see more? And what else will happen when the group arrives in Las Vegas? Will Gabi and Esteban bond?

Find out in the next chapter.
