Hello again everyone, welcome to chapter 24.
Last time I was at Nimbasa city, the place could be described as pure chaos, but seeing it after all the mess was controlled the place looks really good, and they even managed to rebuild the Music Teather, and that is why I am here, to attend the great re-opening… not really, the gym leader Elesa will be part of the re-inauguration ceremony, which means I have to wait until it finishes, and it would be rude if I don't attend to the ceremony, I heard that a lot of people was going to assist, so I may meet someone new.
It was past noon when the ceremony started, bright lights filled the scenario while the rest of the room was almost completely dark, there were only a few lamps to illuminate the stairs, a few minutes later the doors were closed, the curtains opened and a calm Piano music filled the ambience followed by a cloud of smoke, from it the presenter made his appearance, "Hello everyone, and welcome to the great re-opening of the Nimbasa city Music Theater!" a round of cheers responded, "It seems that we have quite an interesting public today" then the reflectors pointed towards a balcony, in there were a lot of interesting faces, "How you all can see, we are visited by the powerful members of the Elite Four, accompany by the new Champion of the Unova Region Alder!" everyone answered with more cheers, "But that's not all, sit next to them are the men to whose we owe the restores peace in the city, the brave Colonel, Mr. Boliver, and…" before the presenter could say the other guy's name he got called via his headset, "I am sorry to announce that one of the special gust couldn't assist today, but he sends us his best regards… Now! What you all have been waiting for…" the show began with and orchestra, followed by a bunch of Pokémon dancing, in total the show lasted about three hours, but I have to admit, that for a free show it was worth it, like in every show, at the end a round of applauses resounded through the whole theater, then Elesa the gym leader appeared on the scenario to give an speech, "She is beautiful isn't her?" I heard the voice of an old man said, but for some reason I seemed like he was talking to me, "How much do you know about Ivan Bates kid?" now I was sure he was talking to me, I pretended not to have interest, "Are you talking to me?" I spoke like a normal person just in case, "Maybe" he answered and remained silent for the rest of Elesa's speech.
At the end everyone applauded and with the orchestra playing the last song everyone leaved their sits, I was about to stand up when the old man sits right next to me, blocking the nearby exit, "Now tell me, what do you know about Ivan Bates?" he asked, "Not more than you I guess" I answered while trying to get out from the other side, but he took my hand, "Scream and the chairs will be more red than they are now" he said, I slowly sat down again, "I'll ask this one more time, and to avoid you any of your games" he then showed me a photo of me and dad outside of Castelia city gym, "Now tell me, what do you know about Ivan Bates?" he once again asked, I didn't answered, this irritated the old man, but then he smiled, "You truly don't know anything" he said almost laughing, but I was still in shock for the fact that a gun was pointing at me, "Sorry for that, I just had to make sure I could trust in you" the old man replied a few second later, "Next time you see your dad, or your brother, tell them that if they want me to be in there, I'll have to be dead first" then he put away the gun and leaved me alone, I stayed there for a while, processing what just happened, one question was in my head, who the hell was that man?, and I keep asking myself that during all the way to the Poke center, I thought of telling the police, but considering the fact that I am the son of the man behind most of the crime in the Unova region it didn't seemed like the best idea, so I could only rely on dad, Stephen, and maybe Uncle Jose, the think was that I didn't any idea of where any of them could be, the best thing I could do was watching my back.
At moments like this I would call out one of my Pokémon, that way I wouldn't be walking alone, but before entering the theater I called them all out so they could run around the city freely while I was in there, with the condition of returning to the Poke center before sunset, it were still a few hours left before sunset so I wasn't expecting to find them in the Poke Center, but to my surprise when I entered the Poke center the nurse told me that two of my Pokémon were in the arena fighting each other as training, but that had stayed quite for a while, and that is usually bad news. I quickly went to the arena and the first thing I saw was Raichu's tail peeking out from some bushes, I just ran there almost and jumped into the bushes, there I saw Raichu laying down next to… Serperior?
It seemed like that while I was in the theater they were training and in result of that Servine evolved, after the fight they were probably really tired and decided to take a nap, and because that Raichu was laying on Serperior but she wasn't trying to strangle him, it looked like they finally get along with each other, those are great news, I leaved them alone and went back to the Poke center to get Pokémon food for when they return.
I returned to the arena and placed the bowls with the food in the ground, and almost instantly Raichu got up, slowly walked towards the bowl, sat next to one and began eating from it, like two minutes after I heard Gible laugh and before I could see from where was she coming I felt her jumping in to my arm, "I hope ye had fun lassy" I told her after she calmed down, I began to wonder if she was alone this whole time but Lycanroc and Lucario appeared a few seconds after, so I suppose she was with them, I sat next to the wall and began feeding her, after a while Serperior joined us, and then at last Zoroark just appeared by my side, "Could ye stop appearing out of nowhere?" i told her, she kind of laughed and picked up the last bowl, after finishing eating I returned everyone to their Poke balls.
After that I began planning for the Gym battle, then paper plane landed in front of me, it had written read me in it, so I did it.
Hey red-eyes, I see you are fine, I told you that you would be fine. I saw that Serpeior evolved without your help, but don't feel bad for it, oh, and I already informed dad about that creepy old man, anyways, good luck on tomorrows battle, I want to see you win.
Guess I have another reason to be prepared.
