Welcome to chapter 25, hope you like it.
"If the plan works, then the battle should be easy" in front of me were Serperior, Lycanroc and Gible, both Lycanroc and Serperior are resistant against electric attacks, and Gible was straight up immune to it, so the advantage was on my side, "Now let's get moving crew" we marched in a line towards the gym, i did this as a warm-up, speed would be crucial for today's battle, we stopped at the entrance of the gym, I was nervous, this would be my sixth badge, I was giving my last steps to complete the gym challenge, something that even though is as common as a Basculin in the unovan waters, when you are the one that accomplishes it, it's something unique for you, "Are ye ready fellas!" I yelled. Gible began running in circles around me, Lycanroc and Serperior gave me a confident smile, "Then, fer the win!" we all entered the gym, and after completing the gym challenge I was standing face to face with the Gym leader, "I be here fer a gym battle mistress, this is the sixth gym I challenge, so I hope you'll present a challenge" I said confident, but I had no idea at that time the hell that battle was going to be.
I started as usual, Serperior positioned herself in the battle ground, and then with a quick but still elegant move Elesa called out her first Pokémon, an… Emolga, "That is just one setback, victory will still be mine" I said to myself, "Serperior, show them yer power, use Slam!" Serperior tried to grab Emolga with her tail, but it flew up before Serperior could reach him, "Arial Ace!" with surprising speed the Emolga launched itself against Serperior, "Get down!" she quickly got into the ground and almost couldn't dodge it, "Leaf Tornado!" Serperior moved her tail in a circle and launched all the leaves against Emolga, but the electric squirrel dodged it just in time, "Emolga, use Volt Switch!" the electric type charged a ball of energy and launched it against Serperior, "Counter it with Leaf Blade" with a quick move of her tail Serperior deflected the attack, avoiding it's effect, Emolga was too fast for Serperior to catch him with her tail, so there was just one option left, "Grap that roedent with Vine Whip!" the vine moved at full speed towards Emolga, it tried to fly away from them, but prevented him from getting any further and the other grabbed him from one of his legs, and now cached we just needed to give him the finishing move, "With all yer force lass, Leaf Blade!" quickly Serperior brought Emolga to her range and hit it as hard as she could with the attack, launching it into the air, but before crashing with the wall she managed to regain control, "Don't give rest, Leaf Storm!" I yelled, "Arial Ace!" responded Elesa, Serperior launched her attack at the same time as Emolga flew towards her direction. I expected the attack to be enough to counter it, but literally breaking through the leaves Emolga made his way and in a blink passed by Serperior side, and the damage was huge.
The pain was notable on Serperior face, that irritated her, which meant she not only wanted to beat the Emolga, but to crush it, from now on, all her attack would be at full power, "Emolga, Volt Switch!" the Pokemon began charging the attack, "This be our change! Jump and Leaf Blade!" Serperior gave a surprisingly high jump and with a rapid swing of her tail hit the electric sphere making that all the energy were launched against Emolga, creating an explosion that launched the small Pokémon straight towards the ground, making a small hole in the arena, it was out of combat, "Well done lass, but this be only the beginning…"
Elesa returned Emolga to his Poke ball, and called out an… Emolga, "Another one!" I said a little irritated, "Lass, better get back" I withdraw Serperior and took Lycanrocs Poke ball, "Let's get serious, shall we?" I said and called Lycanroc out for battle, "Let's see if yer strategy works with this one mistress, Lycanroc, Rock Tomb!" Lycanroc raised his arms and numerous rocks began to appear on the sky, and after giving an evil looking smile he quickly lowered them and all the rocks began to fall and formed something like a maze, now the terrain was on our side, "Use Bite!" I ordered, "Be alert Emolga" suddenly Lycanroc got to the top of the rock were Emolga was and tried to bite her, but she managed to get away from him, "Don't let her escape, use Rock Throw!" Lycanroc launched the attack, Emolga began dodging some of the attack, but they were too much and got hit by a few, "End it now, Bite!" Lycanroc jumped towards Emolga, and this time the electric type couldn't escape, Lyanroc grabbed it with his jaws making a lot of damaged and throwed her against another rock, and Emolga was out of combat.
"Two down, one left to go" I said to myself, "Ye think can handle the next one?" I asked to Lycanroc, he turned around and with that same evil looking smile nodded, Elesa returned Emolga to her Pokeball and taking her last Pokémon, "You said you wanted a challenge, then I'll give you a challenge!" then she called her last Pokémon out, "Zebstrika! Go!" the Pokémon made its appearance and looked ready to put on a fight, "Lycanroc, Rock Throw!" with a quick move Lycanroc throwed a bunch of rocks at Zebstrika, "Use Quick Attack!" with lighting speed Zebstrika moved dodging the rock and charged towards Lycanroc, "Move out of the way!" Lycanroc jumped to another rock, but Zebstrika began jumping with a high ability from rock to rock, and eventually reached Lycanroc and with a strong lunge that launched lycanroc against a rock with such force that it broke into pieces… Lycanroc was out of combat, I returned him to his Poke ball and took Serperior Pokeball, "Show them yer power!" Serperior was still hurt, but she was strong, I knew she could handle this, or that was what I though, "Flame Charge!" if Quick Attack was fast, Flame Charge made it faster, and they were bad news for Serperior, "Use Leaf Tornado!" Serperior launched the attack trying to stop Zebstrika Flame Charge, but the electric type just went through all the leaves without receiving any damage, and with just a few more Flame Charge and Serperior fell, with the same faith as Lycanroc, I returned Serperior to her Pokeball, I had only one Pokemón left, and even though I no longer wanted, I had to use Gible, she had the higher chances, "I'll have to admit that I committed the same mistake of coming to overconfident to the fight, ye be a strong opponent mistress, I said I would win this battle, and I'll keep that promise, Lassy!" I said while looking at Gible, she understood what she had to do, she saw what happened to Lycanroc and Serperior, "I´ll need ye to give it yer all" she answered with a confident smile that resembled mine, "fer the victory" Gible jumped to the battlefield and prepared for the last round, "Dragon Rage!" she launched the attack with as much power as she could, "Dodge it" the attack almost hit Zebstrika, "That thing be too fast fer Gible, unless…" while I was thinking Elesa made her move, "Zebstrika, Quick Attack!" I almost couldn't react on time and Gible received the attack, "Slash!" Gible tried to hit Zebstrika, but it simply got out of her range, "Yer Pokémon be fast enough to dodge short and long-range attacks, but good luck dodging this! With all yer power Lassy, Earthquake!", before leaving my mom gave me a TM, she said it was a gift from my grandfather, I don't know if it is true, but it become handy for this situation.
The ground began to shake, and even to break, on of Zebstrika legs got stuck in one of the cracks that formed, "Now it be our time, Dragon Rage!" Gible charged the attack and then launched all the energy which hit Zebstrika, that and the damage of the Earthquake, were enough and Zebstrika was out of combat, we won, I took the badge and got congratulated by Elesa, after that I went straight up to the Poke center, so my Pokémon could get a rest.
