Hello again ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a new chapter, and I hope that you'll find this one interesting.
"Who are those guys?" I asked to myself, in front of me were dozens of men marching north, they were wearing black boots, white pants, a brown shirt and what stood out more black helmets decorated with a coat of arms made using what looked like gold, and a spike in the top of the hat, they all marched carrying more advanced guns that what the unovan army had, at the beginning I had no idea of who those men could be, but after thinking, it came to my mind, there was only one region that used those kind of helmets, the Reich region, the leader of the Central Regions, the one that gave Unova the finishing blow almost 30 years ago, the same one that my grandfather fought against, and that same region was standing right in front of me, "We should get out of here lass" I said to Zoroark nervous that the men could hear me, I didn't knew why they were here, so I decided not to make myself notice.
We tried to get as far from them as possible, but our path was blocked by the same river than last time, the only way to Opelucid city was through the main road, and it was being used by the soldiers, but there was the only way, we had to do it, but just thinking of it, was scary… you may be asking why, I had the luck of not living the war, when I was born around 15 years had passed, but there were still the reminders and the scars the war left.
The town I grew in was initially built as a military camp build by the Unovan army, captured by Reich soldiers and abandoned because of the continuous Zoroark attacks, eventually people began using it as base camp to help populate the area, but the new settlers found the old cells, where the traitors" used to imprison captured Unovan officers, and one of them was still being used, a young man of around 27 years passed his last days in there after being forgotten, or probably was just left there to die, and it was not only that, there was an execution chamber where they used to torture the prisoners for information that and the stories my grandfather told of his days as a cannoneer later an officer and even reaching the rank of captain, but I that is other story, the point is that I have heard all kinds of tales of the Reich army and how they had all of the Regions Coalition terrified, I could tell some of those stories but I we would be here all day, so better continue.
We followed the road from a safe distance, enough for me to see the path, but not for the soldiers to see me and we continued this way for a while and talking with Zoroark in whispers, "Try not to make loud noises lass, or we may get in a big trouble" she asked me who they were, "Ye remember Master Williams, well these men be soldiers like him" she asked me what that is, referring of what is a soldier, "They be a group of people who fight under the same flag, or fer the same guy, it depends on the context, do ye understand?" she nodded "Well like I was saying, they are soldiers, the uniform is different because they serve another region" she answering saying that it was similar to the groups her species forms, where some are selected as fighters and protect the rest or attack other groups, "Aye, something like that".
We kept walking until we encountered the same river, we were trying to surround but this time there was a bridge, the only problem was that the soldiers were using it I turned around to see how long the line was, but it would take hours for all of them to cross, luckily there was a space where both Zoroark and I could fit, the thing was that for that we would have to pass right by side of the soldiers, and really didn't wanted that, but there was no other choice, "listen lass, ye see that space in the bridge, we will try going through it so I'll need ye to stay calm and not call the attention more than necessary" I wonder if that last I was saying it for myself, we carefully moved to the side of the road, I was waiting for a good moment, or probably was hesitating on doing it.
We stood there for a while, I was grateful that none of the soldiers seamed to have noticed my presence, but then I realized of something, I noticed that one of the soldiers had bandage on the left arm, the thing was that I had already seen him 5 times, they were walking in circles, why? I have no idea, "We… should…" I couldn't even finish my sentence when, "Good day young man" behind me was another soldier, but this time probably an officer, he ridded a Kanto Rapidash, and wore a similar uniform just like the rest of the soldiers, but he had more golden decorations, "Good day sir" I responded nervous, "You want to go through the bridge right?" he asked "Aye sir, I be just waiting for the right moment to cross sir" I answered, "I am afraid that moment wont happen any time soon, but don't worry, I'll give you a hand" he then shouted something in a language I didn't understand and in an instant the soldiers moved to the right and made an space in the bridge, he made me a signal to pass, we went through the bridge, with the man in the Rapidash behind us.
We followed the road for the rest of the travel with the man of the Rapidash behind us, I could her the fire type walking. After a while he made a question, "Are you from this part of Unova?" he asked, "No I live far from here, I came to challenge the gym leader" I answered, "I see… how clumsy of me, I forgot to introduce myself… my name is Wilhelm, and yours?" he asked, "Sailer Aubrey" I decided to avoid the bates last name in case he knew my father, or more importantly, what is his job, "Aubrey?, I haven't that name in a while… are you related with the captain Ernest Aubrey?" he asked, "Aye, he be my grandfather" I answered, "Then your grandfather is a living legend, they call him the old thunder where I live, both feared and respected, it's sad that he had to retire at a short age, what is of him now?" I was surprised of the reputation my grandfather had, "Well, he be the captain of an old school luxury cruisier named the Saint Mary" I said "I knew that who command that ship was him" we kept walking and talking for the rest of the way, he was a nice person, he was polite and talked in an elegant manner, something common almost exclusively on the royalty.
Well this was chapter 29, hope you all like it.
