Chapter 16: Searching For Hakuyuu

The sound of Yona's feet on stone seem echo as she and the others walked the woodland trails. After she had awoken from the dream she had, Yona sought out the former priest Ik-su who had listened to her dream. "It would seem that the Kami are trying to communicate with you Princess." He took a sip of tea from his cup. "They want you to find the other dragon warriors. You already have Zeno, but the other three have remained hidden from the world." He then looked at her, unbeknownst to him they were being spied on by his companion. "When you leave, I ask that you take Yun with you." The boy stiffened in his hiding place. "Yun has such potential and is brilliant but staying here he'll never see what life has to offer him."

"I think that's really up to him." Yona answered truthfully. "I really could use his help, but I do not think he likes me very much."

"You shouldn't presume such things." Yun's voice startled both parties. "It's true that I don't like nobles," He then turned his face as it began to heat up. "but you're different." Looking towards Ik-su, Yun felt anger begin to well up within himself. "And you!" Anger filled his voice as he pointed a finger at the priest. "What was that conversation about? Where do you want me to go?" His fist tightened at his side. He so wanted to punch Ik-su. "You want me to with them!?"

Ik-su looked away from the young man's angry gaze. "Yun, I want you to leave this place and assist the princess and her friends."

Yun groaned in frustration. "Why me? You can't be serious!" The more they spoke though the hurt Yun was feeling from this conversation.

Ik-su's gaze finally met Yun's. "You shouldn't stay here. Go see the world."

Yun felt his anger begin to recede. "Ik-su..."

Suddenly becoming happy, Ik-su smiled. "Besides, I'll be fine without you!" That statement threw Yun off for a second before sudden worry hit him like a ton of bricks.

Back to the present Yona hadn't been too shocked that Yun had decided to join their little group. In the end he knew that they needed him. Zeno had also revealed an interesting trick that the warriors had. They could sense each other at all times. So using Zeno's ability plus Yun's inate ability to read maps correctly, they headed out to find Hakuyuu village.

"So good!" Yona cried out as she took a bite from the cooked fish that Yun had made them all for dinner.

Yun who was sitting next to her blushed lightly. "It's not that good!" he exclaimed with embarrassment.

"Oh yes it is!" Yona held the stick tightly before nodding at him. Yona then gasped at him. "You've never tasted Hak's cooking."

Hak made a choking sound at her claim. "You still ate it, Princess." He countered.

"Zeno liked Misters food, but Lad's food is on another level." Zeno claimed as he took a third fish from the pile.

Yona glared at Zeno. "Hak was always burning the food!" Zeno and Hak both looked away, as they were unable to counter that revelation.

Yun began chuckling at the downtrodden look both men had. "Well, not everyone is a genius with food like I am." He then put his rice bowl down. "P-Princess, may I call you by your name. I mean Y-Yona."

Yona saw how pink Yun's face was. She gave a light laugh. "So cute!" His face became even redder. "Yes." She answered before going back to eating her food. He's so adorable! She thought absentmindedly as she enjoyed the night surrounded by her friends, not knowing that her circle of friends was about to grow exponentially.
