This is the 7th chapter. I'm skipping two of the episodes between 68 and 69 because I'm mostly focusing of the Straw Hat pirates journeying toward the Grand Line while delivering Vivi to Alabasta and stop Crocodile, I hope you get the idea.
So, I don't own the series of One Piece.
Little Garden! A Shadow Lurking in the Island!
Somewhere at sea
Few days have past since they left Whiskey Peak and being confronted by Ms. All-Sunday. Yesterday, they were doing their usual thing and both Shanise and Anna are educating Ventus in order for him to catch up his schooling which they were surprised that Freya and Fratley taught him, but he also taught him which it did help him a little bit. The young Dragoon won't do it alone anymore because Sanji is teaching him how to cook and Nami is teaching him how to read maps, compass, and the navigational skills.
Usually in the early morning, Ventus sprouts his wings to fly out to sea and practice his aerial combat, but he sometimes do his morning spar with either Zoro, Shanise, or Ivan. For his evaluation on the two, Ivan is very tricky and flexible due to his acrobatic skills, Shanise is strong and she never lost her touch when it comes to her axe wielding, and Zoro is a formidable swordsman considering he wields three swords.
Now, they're sailing at sea, heading to Little Garden when Ventus brought his Harpoon spear out of his gallery pouch since his Tidesplitter broke. Vivi came out and was surprised that Zoro was awake, sparring with Ventus. She watched for a bit but when Ventus failed to block his strike and he received a gash across his arm, she intervened.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Vivi cried with a shout, rushed over.
"We're sparring, isn't it obvious?" Zoro questioned, raise his eyebrow.
"Well this spar stops now!" Vivi shouts.
"Why? We only just started the warm-up." Zoro told her.
"Can you not see the blood on his arm?" Vivi questioned, showing Ventus' injured arm to the swordsman. "He needs treatment."
"What is going on here?" Anna questions with a serious glare, earned their attention.
"Anna thank goodness, Ventus needs treatment." Vivi pleads. "Mr. Bushido injured him during the spar."
Anna knew that Vivi is trying to help the young Dragoon, but the Alabasta princess need to realize that Ventus can take care of himself despite the age of 14. However, the ranger told her many times that enemy pirates, Marines, and especially the Baroque Works agents aren't going to take it easy on him just because he's a child. Also, the Straw Hat pirates are watching over him and they know that they'll see him as his weakness which he prove them wrong because of his lance mastery, magic, and his dragon trait.
"Vivi, I know you mean well, but you can't protect Ventus and it's not your call to make." Anna told her with a sigh. "You saw how he fight against the Baroque Works agents."
"Yeah, but-"
"Vivi, Zoro would never intentionally hurt Ventus. And even if he does, I can promise you he'll be killed." Anna interrupts. "Now if that's all you've got to say, then you best do well to move aside and let them go about their business."
Vivi was about to argue with Anna, but she's starting to grow furious as she storm towards the cabin while Zoro and Ventus continue sparring each other.
Few hours later, the first chance Vivi brought the incident up with Luffy, but he just laugh it off, claiming that Zoro would never hurt Ventus. Vivi was even more furious at Luffy for not punishing Zoro and even more so when his training left Ventus exhausted which the young Dragoon is no stranger to harsh training. She even refuse to talk to them for the rest of the day.
Vivi didn't even show up for dinner so Nami take the food to her, but she's stubborn and refuse to eat. Nami even told her that Ventus give Sanji a helping hand in cooking and he's still learning which it's enough to convince her. She then heard music that's coming from outside as she got up and open the door, saw Ventus playing his ocarina while the wind blows his hair, gave him a majestic look which made Vivi smile and she found out that the song he's playing is beautiful. After he finished playing his ocarina, Ventus is looking at the stars with tears in his eyes.
'Mother, Father, if you're hearing this, I'm getting close to my goal. Once I bring my two uncles to justice, your souls will finally rest in peace and you'll finally be avenged.' Ventus mentally thought as he head down to get some sleep.
Vivi couldn't help but wonder why is he crying when the young Dragoon plays it beautifully, she may need to get answers from them if she wants to learn more about him. She then went back inside of the cabin to get some sleep.
The next day, Ventus, Shanise, and Zoro have finished their spar few hours ago and got themselves cleaned up. They're still sailing straight towards the Little Garden which they have little knowledge about the island.
"Aw, no snow. Too bad." Luffy complains, looking at the sky while sitting at the top of the wooden rail.
"Snow in this climate?" Zoro asks, woke up from his nap.
"Sure why not? Already happen once. You just missed it because you were asleep." Luffy told him, turned his head to Vivi. "Hey, what about you? Do you think it's gonna snow?"
"I wouldn't rule anything out, but the sea we're in the first time it snowed is special." Vivi explains. "The seven magnetic fields that emit from the Reverse Mountain tend to make things particularly chaotic, but that doesn't mean you should relax your guard while sailing these waters. The odds of it being as wild as your first journey maybe small, but still, these waters aren't normal under and certainly hold surprises on there own. Remember, never underestimate the sea."
"Hey guys." Sanji called them, holding the tray of green drinks. "Anyone care to sample my special drink?"
That got Karoo's attention along with Luffy, Zoro, Ivan, and Usopp when they got excited to try out those drinks. Vivi is starting to grew annoyed and frustrated of their behavior, Luffy and Usopp are behaving like children, Sanji always flirting with her, Nami, and Shanise, but she did enjoy the snack he made, Zoro sometimes sleep on the deck, and Ventus is remain a mystery since he won't talk about his past nor of his dragonic trait. She's listening to their conversation, about fishing and seeing them getting Karoo drinking which makes her more annoyed and frustrated as she spoke.
"They're acting like idiots!?" Vivi shouts.
"Maybe this will help." Nami suggests, extends the drink to Vivi which it got her attention. "Just relax, these boys may go through their goofy phases, but when things get rough, they get to work. Trust me, I should know."
"She's right, these four may act childish, but they can be serious when things get rough." Anna added when she came out of the cabin along with Ventus and Shanise.
"Sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm getting worked up over nothing." Vivi said.
"This ship will put you at ease." Nami assures her with a smile. "You'll cheer up in no time."
Vivi then watches Karoo drinks some more, but the duck couldn't take it anymore as he passed out while spitting the green drink out of its bill, causing them to burst with a laugh.
"Yeah, they're funny." Vivi said with a small smile, but notice that Ventus didn't get any drinks. "Hey, how come he didn't get it?"
"We don't want a repeat of that incident." Anna explains. "Back at the Warship Island, Ventus tried something spicy which it didn't go well."
"What do you mean?" Vivi asks confusingly.
"You don't want to know, trust me." Nami told her. "Besides, his stomach won't go well in between alcohol or something spicy and you can leave it at that."
Nami and Anna couldn't help but feel grimace because they remembered that Ventus spew flames and stinking up the entire cabin by making a big fart back at Warship Island which they don't want a repeat.
Until, they saw dolphin splashing at the sea.
"Hey look, it's a dolphin. Pirates best friend." Sanji said with a smile.
"Whoa, beautiful." Nami added with awe, admiring the dolphin.
Apparently, the dolphin is like a giant as it jumps over the Going Merry, splashing towards the sea.
"LET'S GO!" Luffy ordered excitedly, causing them to drop their drinks as they begin to ready the ship.
"Move it!" Zoro added, running.
"Okay!" Usopp complied, climbing up the mast.
"I'm going!" Sanji added, leaping over the rail.
The Straw Hat pirates run left and right as Sanji and Anna ready the sail, Usopp and Ventus work on the ropes at the mast, and Zoro is inside of the cabin, holding the helm.
"Take that side!" Usopp order, pointing the right with his finger.
"Gotcha!" Sanji complied, rushing towards the direction he's heading.
"I don't believe it! They're working together!" Ivan exclaimed with shock.
"She was right." Vivi added, also shocked.
"Let's see how it goes." Shanise told the two, watching the Straw Hat pirates.
"Okay, hurry! Let's move!" Luffy ordered with a big grin as the Going Merry sail when the giant dolphin jumped out of the water. "Get ready! It's gonna be the big one!"
When the giant dolphin makes a splash, it cause the shockwave and the tide as the Going Merry pushes forward which it made the process of heading toward the Little Garden faster. Few minutes later after the waves were settled, Luffy then spoke to the navigator.
"Nami, which direction now?" Luffy asks.
"Give me a second, I'll check." Nami told him, looking at the Log Pose which it points at the Northwest. "Portside, full!"
With that, the Straw Hat pirates turn the ship portside to stay on course towards the Little Garden.
Soon as they got the ship turned, they saw an island that is known as Little Garden, but the island has some kind a mountains, green forest, and volcanoes. Ventus use his Dragon Sight to take a better look at the Little Garden, notice that it's more like a prehistoric island than anything. Nami look at the Log Pose and an island as she spoke.
"There's no mistake. Cactus Island and this one here are definitely pulling against each other." Nami said, notice the Log Pose is pointing the opposite direction. "Our next stop."
Luffy laugh with excitement, couldn't wait to see what the Little Garden looks like along with the others as they head towards Little Garden.
"This is it! Our second island in the Grand Line!" Luffy shouts.
Kyuka Island
On the tropical island, there are many people taking a vacation and relax on the island. At the swimming pool, there are two people are relaxing when the man pours the tea on the tea sup while the little girl holds the paper.
The man appeared an average-sized man with rather frail-looking building. Like other male Baroque Works agents, he has a number hidden somewhere, but it's visible on the vest design, upper part of his glasses, and one big three achieved through his top knot. He also wears glasses and has a neatly combed hair. He also has a Log Pose on his left wrist. He wore a blue with light blue striped vest with a white ruffled blouse and a red bowtie, tan pants, and white shoes with blue stripe.
The little girl is a teenager with a childish appearance, relatively large eyes, and circles with blush on her cheeks. She is fairly short in stature and wears her dark red hair tied in twin braids. Her attire consists of a wide-brimmed pink hat with a green brand, dark blue T-shirt with the word 'GOLDEN' written on it in orange, sky blue cloud-patterned button-downed shirt, maroon-colored overalls skirt with the top folded down, blue striped stockings, and big red shoes with white cuffs and white shoes.
"Mr. 3." She called him.
"Yes my dear, hold on." Mr. 3 told her calmly, smelling the aroma of tea as he then drinks it. "There's nothing quite like the rich of aroma of Earl Grey."
"I'm bored." She told him with blank expression.
"On the one hand, you say you're bored, on the other you don't like work, correct?" Mr. 3 asks, earned a nod from her. "Then why don't you cease your complaining and revel in the enjoyment of this rest lies of freedom circumstances of generously of fortitude? How grand to be able to take a long vacation? A privilege of few officers ever get to indulge. One more thing, I would appreciate your mindful in immediate discretion and not calling me by my codename in public, otherwise people would discover that I am indeed, Mr. 3."
Though the problem is his hair of the number 3 is a dead giveaway so he doesn't have any room to talk.
"Sure." She complied when Mr. 3 propped himself on the lounge chair.
"Incidentally, I couldn't help noticing you've been bruising that piece of paper over the last several days, why does it grab you so?" Mr. 3 questions.
"Is an order from boss." She answered, showing the paper to him.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" Mr. 3 exclaims with his shark-like teeth, grabbed it as he look at it. "It says Mr. 5 is been taken down. Hmm, if someone had to be terminated, I wish it would've been someone useless, like Mr. 2."
"So what would benefit you? Why the fat promotion?" She inquired curiously.
"It's not that necessarily, rather the downfall of Mr. 5 is hardly exciting news at all. The exceled at nothing but his own idiocy, clinging to his Devil Fruit power like a drowning rat. You're correct that moniker of my difference between the fact that 5's misfortune brings me no game, all we may learn is power means if not properly harnessed." Mr. 3 explains, finishing his tea. "Superior criminals are those who execute their crimes using superior intellect. Nevertheless, whoever beat Mr. 5 should be made an example of, it a no other reason to preserve the reputation of terror, our organization is painstakingly cultivated and indeed for criminality as a whole."
Mr. 3 and the girl then left the island to find the ones who is responsible for taking down Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentines Day, but they would be in for a surprise that Ventus is the one who took down both of them which they'll be meeting the young Dragoon soon.
Little Garden
As soon as the Straw Hat pirates sailed up the stream that led into the island, Ventus' suspicion is correct about the Little Garden, it's entirely covered by dense jungle. Even though, there's no telling why this island is named as Little Garden which there's not a single person lived there.
"I can see why they call this place, Little Garden." Luffy said with a grin.
"I can't, what's little about it?" Zoro questioned.
"Yeah, this island is pretty harsh if you ask me." Nami stated. "Why the cute name?"
"This island is more of a jungle than a garden." Anna added with her raised eyebrow. "I've seen harsh lands before, but never like this."
"W-Well it's because...it's pretty untamed...maybe we'd better off skipping this one." Usopp told them with fright.
"We have to be careful." Vivi warn them. "I can't help but remember the warning Ms. All-Sunday gave us."
She then remembered of Ms. All-Sunday's warned about the island they're heading called Little Garden, telling them they'll be all dead before reaching toward Alabasta.
"So what?! We might be attacked by giant monsters?!" Usopp exclaims with a question, panicked.
"Who knows?" Luffy shrugs.
'If there are, then Ms. All-Sunday should know how strong we are, she even notice how much anger I can get. The Little Garden is the least of my worries.' Ventus mentally thought. 'What worries me is the magnetic fields of this island Ms. All-Sunday was talking about, there's still half chance to get out alive. We'll find out more when we land.'
"Listen, I'm sure we can make it to the next island without going to shore on this one!?" Usopp exclaimed.
"The only way to reset the Log is to go ashore." Nami reminded him.
"Not to mention we're in dire need of restocking our food supply." Sanji added. "We didn't get so much as a sack of flour in the last town."
"Guys, there's our ticket in." Zoro inform them, pointing at the river mouth as they head that direction so they can dock the ship.
"You think they'll have barbecue restaurant here?" Luffy ask that dumb question.
"We didn't travel all this way for barbecue!?" Sanji shouts with white eyes and shark-like teeth.
"And makes you think that there is one in this island?" Ivan questioned with a tick mark on his head.
"I thought the point of this visit is to get food." Luffy told him.
"Food isn't supplies, we're going to cook later. Geez, what are you thinking?" Sanji asks with annoyance.
"And even if there is a shop here, tell me this. Where on an island like this would you find a shop that sells meat?" Shanise questioned.
Shanise is now wearing a barbarian leather armored vest with shoulder pauldrons, with furred-line accents, black jerkin underneath, leather vambraces, leather boots, and brown leather brooches with a belt. She's also carrying a battle axe.
"I don't know, Usopp might be right about this one." Nami said, looking at the jungle area. "Just take a look at the gargantuan plant like here, I've never seen anything like it, not even in books."
Until, they heard a screech that was coming from some kinda bird, but it's not which its not enough to scare Nami and Usopp, it only cause them to block their ears.
"You're so adorable~" Sanji compliments with a goofy smile, blushed.
"Thank you." Usopp thanked him with a smile.
"THAT'S NOT FUNNY! I WAS TALKING TO NAMI!" Sanji yelled with a tick mark on his head along with white eyes and shark-like teeth.
"What was that screeching?" Nami asks.
"It's alright, love, it's only a bird. Perfectly harmless, just like this jungle. Nothing to worry about." Sanji assures with confidence, but he failed to realize that he's about to be lunch by a dinosaur bird. Ventus quickly pulls him out of the way as he starts breathe fire at the dinosaur, making it scream in pain while flying away.
"That'll teach you, ya damn buzzard!" Ventus yells, turn his head to Sanji. "Tell me, what did you say about this jungle? If it's like any normal jungle, THEN WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT THING THAT ALMOST HAVE YOU FOR LUNCH!? Idiot! Can't believe I join this stupid crew!"
As soon as he said that, they heard something explodes.
"Hear that? Is that kind of noise you expect to hear a normal jungle?" Nami ask with dread.
"That's sounded like a volcano erupting! We're all going to die!?" Usopp cried with panic, earned a bonk on the head from Anna.
"Will you quit panicking! We'll be here until the Log Pose, so suck it up!" Anna shouts with annoyance.
Apparently, everyone saw something from the plants, revealed to be a tiger growling at them. Nami and Usopp look at it with fright, seeing how huge the tiger is.
"A tiger?!" Nami gasp.
"It's gigantic!" Usopp stated with panic as he and Nami backed away.
All of a sudden, the tiger collapsed with blood gushing out of its side.
"What?! Luffy, what just happened! I know normal, this is definitely not it!" Nami exclaimed with panic. "Someone explain to me how a mammoth tiger can just kill over covered in blood!?"
"Log Pose and food be damned! We're not setting foot on that island and that's final!" Usopp shouts with panic, sweating frantically.
"And why is that?" Shanise questions, raise her eyebrow.
"We can still reset the readings on this ship, we'll just sit tight until then." Nami suggests, leaving Usopp agreed. "When that's done, we'll leave and never look back."
"Right." Usopp complies.
"Yeah, right. We'll all just stay here." Nami said which neither of them are staying on the ship.
Even with that plan, they landed on this island when Zoro drop the anchor. They're still planning to get something they need to restock the supplies and they also need to wait until the Log Pose to restart which Nami and Usopp wants to leave the island. Anna have gathered her arrows and her swords while Ivan got his bats ready and Shanise got her axe ready.
Luffy then chuckle with an excited smile on his face which it got Sanji's attention as he spoke.
"Sanji, go make lunch." Luffy chimed.
"You want lunch?" Sanji asks in confusion.
"Yep and one more thing, make it a great big pirate lunch with lots of meat and no veggies." Luffy suggests. "I'm gonna need some more energy."
"Energy for what? What are doing? You're not leaving here!" Nami protests.
"You know? Fun stuff, do you want to come along?" Luffy offered with a big grin.
Nami was about to argue, but she give up since Luffy is too excited to stay on the ship.
'It's useless. I can't stop him, he's too enthusiastic.' Nami mentally thought with teary eyes.
'Is he crazy?! Somewhere out there is a monster big enough to grind a tiger into paste!' Usopp thought with teary eyes and his mouth agape.
"Sanji, I'm starving!" Luffy told him.
"Right, be patient, I'll have it to you as soon as I can." Sanji told him as he was about to head towards the kitchen to cook up some lunch.
Luffy then chuckled, couldn't wait to look at the inside of Little Garden. Vivi look at the jungle for a few seconds as she turned to Luffy and spoke.
"Say Luffy, would it be alright if I come along with you?" Vivi asks with a smile, leaving Usopp shocked.
"Sure, sounds great." Luffy accepts without any second thoughts.
"NO!? Vivi, you can't be serious!" Nami protests.
"Yeah, I'd rather not sit here with nothing to do, but worry about my troubles." Vivi told her. "This will keep me until the Logs reset."
"Out of the question! Seriously! It's way too dangerous for you out there!" Nami argued.
"I'll be fine, besides, I'll have Karoo with me." Vivi shrugs when Karoo quacked with panic.
"Hey somethings wrong, Karoo doesn't look too good. He might be in shock." Nami stated.
"Vivi, if you go exploring, you'll need to eat. I'll pack you lunch." Sanji suggests, waving his hand.
"Thanks. While you're at it, could you fix something for Karoo?" Vivi asks politely.
"Of course, you just leave it to me." Sanji complies as he went inside of the kitchen to make some lunch.
"Ivan and I will go with you." Shanise told her. "We use to work together, so we'll tag along with you and Luffy."
Though Nami would agree to her suggestion, but she still want them to stay on the ship until the Log Pose resets. It didn't take long for Sanji to make lunch as he tighten up the bag for Luffy and placing a special drink for Karoo around his neck.
"Now you're all set and ready to go. Two pirate lunches for Luffy and Vivi, and one special drink for Karoo." Sanji said with a smile.
"Thanks." Luffy thanked him as he jump off the ship, landed on the island as Vivi, Ivan, and Shanise followed him.
"Well, see you guys later." Vivi told them.
With that, Vivi, Luffy, Ivan, and Shanise rush towards the jungle for the adventure. Nami and Usopp are surprised that the former Baroque Works agent wasn't afraid which they're wondering if she's doing it for the thrill of being a pirate or not is unknown. As soon as the three left, Usopp spoke.
"Vivi, what a girl. She's so brave." Usopp comment.
"And just what would you expect from someone who can infiltrate the enemies rank?" Nami rhetorically questions.
Zoro walks down to the deck, cracking his neck as he spoke.
"I'm bored, Imma take a walk." Zoro said.
"Take a walk?!" Usopp exclaims.
"Yep." Zoro answered as he jump off the ship, lands on the island.
"Hey Zoro! Wait up!" Sanji called him, rush towards the wooden railing and got his attention. "You know we're kind of short on food, right? If you find any animals that appear edible, bring them back."
"Okay, that's easy." Zoro complied. "I can see why you'd want to send me, because I can bring back something you couldn't catch yourself."
"What the hell does that mean?!" Sanji retorts with a tick mark on his head, feeling insulted.
'Ooooh, them's fightin words.' Ventus and Anna thought in unison, resent his insult. Zoro then growled at Sanji when he placed his foot on the wooden railing as he spoke.
"I won't let that remark go unchallenged." Sanji said with a scowl. "You're saying that you can capture bigger game then I can? Like my hunting skills are inferior?"
"Yeah, that's right." Zoro answered as the two scowled against each other and the sparks shoot from the eyes.
"Challenge accepted." Sanji said as he leap off the ship, lands next to him. "Okay, winner brings back the most pounds of meat."
"What do you mean pounds? Cuz' I'll bring back tons!" Zoro retorts.
"You let your hunting do the talking for you." Sanji growls as he walk on the right.
"Good luck, cook." Zoro scoffed as he walk on the left and the challenge begins.
"I will never understand it. Why did those two jerks had to be so competitive?" Nami cried in teary eyes.
"Don't cry." Usopp said, also in teary eyes. "If it makes you feel better, I'm just as stump by their behavior as you."
"Idiots, especially those that brags about their strength." Ventus said with a sigh, feeling annoyed of these two.
When Ventus and Anna are about to leave the ship, they felt something clinging their legs and had them slam their faces on the railing. The two turned to see that both Nami and Usopp clinging onto their legs as streams of tears ran down their cheeks with frightened expression.
"Please Ventus! Anna! Don't go!" Nami begged.
"Both of you our only hope here! Please don't go!" Usopp cried.
"Will you two knock it off!?" Ventus shouts as he bonk their heads, leaving them a few bumps on their heads. "Honestly, you two are acting like big babies. And here I thought the both you like the adventure."
"Listen, we're heading out as well." Anna told them. "If you two are gonna stay here, then by all means. We'll be heading out too, so don't wander off the ship too long, kids."
With that, both Ventus and Anna jump off the ship as they head towards the jungle to adventure while getting something to restock some supplies, leaving Nami and Usopp alone on the ship. They heard a screech coming from the island as Usopp spoke.
"We're sitting ducks." Usopp said tearfully.
"DON'T YOU THINK I ALREADY KNOW THAT?!" Nami yelled with white eyes and shark-like teeth, but sighed for a few seconds. "Why didn't I think of that before?"
Nami then stood up as she head towards which it got Usopp's attention as he spoke.
"Where are you going?" Usopp asks when Nami went inside. "Nami, what's wrong?"
Nami then look over the books from the bookshelf, threw them down to the floor while going over them which Usopp is trying to find out what is she doing as she spoke.
"What the heck are you looking for anyway, huh?" Usopp asks.
"Quiet, I remember reading about it in a book." Nami told him, looking at the book.
"Um, reading about what?" Usopp inquired.
"Little Garden." Nami answered.
Meanwhile, Luffy, Vivi, Shanise, and Ivan ran towards the jungle, exploring when the rubber captain makes a quick stop, seeing something in the pond.
"Hey, what's the matter?" Vivi asks curiously when she, Shanise, and Ivan are behind him.
"Over here, check it out." Luffy ushered, points at the Cephalopod. "It's a shellfish that looks like a squid."
Luffy then grab hold it as Vivi, Shanise, and Ivan walk towards him while the rubber captain showed it to them.
"Shell squid fish." Luffy said with a smile.
"How strange, it sort of resembles an ammonoid." Vivi guessed.
"Hmm, this is unusual. It almost resemble some kind of sea creature." Ivan added in confusion.
"Cool, huh?" Luffy asks.
Until, they heard a loud stomping that was coming from here and it's close, causing to Karoo to quack with fright.
While on Sanji's side, the cook is wandering around in the jungle, trying to find something edible since the challenge got started and to make it worse, Zoro insulted his way of hunting. He heard a growl as he stopped, felt like he's been watched.
"I've got a feeling someone's been following me for a while." Sanji muttered. "Nah, it couldn't be..."
As Sanji continue to wander in the jungle, a T-Rex approaches him with a roar from behind as it follows the cook. Then, the drool is dripping to Sanji's hair, causing him to grab and flick it as he look up. The T-Rex was about to chomp him, but Sanji quickly dodges as he lands on his feet.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" Sanji asks, but the T-Rex didn't respond as it roars at him.
"Collier Coup" Sanji have had enough as he jump up, kicking the T-Rex in the neck and knocking him out.
While on Zoro's side, the swordsman is staring at the Triceratops with a curious expression while the dinosaur looked at him with killing intent as he spoke.
"I don't know what you're suppose to be, but I'm guessing you're edible." Zoro muttered.
While on Ventus' side, the young Dragoon and the ranger are scouting ahead in the jungle while gathering some berries that appeared to be edible along with their fresh dinosaur meat.
"I can't help but feel like something isn't right about this island." Anna muttered. "But what?"
That got Ventus realize something, he remembered about this island he read about it in the book and along with his travels during his time with Freyja and Fratley.
"Anna, this island has been frozen in time, stuck at the age of the dinosaurs." Ventus said, earned her attention. "I remembered reading about the Little Garden in those books while learning about the Grand Line. Traveling there is very difficult so no species ever migrated in between the islands and there unique ecosystems were preserved."
Anna couldn't help but widen her eyes with shock, beginning to understand what the young Dragoon is talking about.
"Some of these islands have developed an extremely sophisticated cultures, both biological and sociological while others remained in a sort of evolutionary stagnation with little to no progression for several thousands or tens of thousand. Or even millions of years ago." Ventus explains. "Which basically, we're in the island that's been frozen in time and still at the age of the dinosaurs."
"That would explain why the prehistoric bird came after Sanji." Anna gestured. "But neither of us knew of this island."
"Vivi probably did without even realize about the island first-hand, but Nami, she did too. Though, I highly doubt about the rest of them." Ventus stated. "If nothing else, we gotta go find the others and get back to the ship."
Anna agreed to his suggestion as the two begin find the others so they can get back on the ship which they now know the island called Little Garden is not little because this island is stuck in the Prehistoric Time and filled with danger.
