Several weeks after dropping off the letter, a large man made his way up to Privet drive. He is over seven feet tall and a meter thick. He has a thick head of hair and a beard.
Knocking on the door, Aunt Petunia answers.
"Yes" she replied, with the door half-opened.
"Ima here ta get Harry Potter to shop for Hogwarts."
Aunt Petunia slowly rotated her head, to see Harry poking his head out from another room, with a half guilty expression.
Aunt Petunia paused. She paused for a good six minutes. Frozen in place. "I'm not sure you have the right addre..."
"Here I am" popped up Harry, who squeezed passed his aunt and right up to the giant.
"My name is Harry Potter, what is you..." the door slammed behind him, and then the swift sound of curtains closing followed.
"er, mi name is Hagrid. I am from Hogwarts here to git your supplies."
Harry looked past him to see a very large motorcycle with a side car. "Will we be taking that" Harry asks.
"Whut, oh yeah, that is mi motorcycle." Harry peered closer to the motorcycle. "Is it safe".
"Perfektly, its enchanted fer extra safety and privacy. Here, hop it in."
Harry ignored the mention of enchantment and hopped into the side car of the motorcycle.
Hagrid went in the driving seat, revved up the engine, and shot down the street towards London.
Arriving in London, outside a shifty building called the Leaky Cauldron, Hagrid took him through the restaurant, into the back entrance, into an alley, and took out what looked like a broken umbrella and tapped several bricks to reveal a hidden entrance.
"Welcome ter Diagon Alley" announced Hagrid to Harry, showing an alley filled with shops and people, with flying and disappearing objects, and colorful small fireworks.
"Ferst, we need to go to Gringotts, a bank, ter git something."
Walking down the alley, Harry peered every here and then.
Walking up to a white marble building built with columns in the Roman style, small three feet tall beings with pointy teeth guarded the entrance with halberds.
"Here we arre", walking past the guards, pushing away oak doors, to reveal a dazzlingly busy interior. Moving passed throngs of people, they arrived to a teller.
A small being with pointy teeth looks down and takes out a piece of paper. "Business?"
"Wer herre to pick up an item in Hogwarts vault, and to pick up sum cash from the Potter trust fund vault."
The goblin gave a start of surprise, but recovered and placed out his hand "key?".
"Her is the one for Potter trust vault." Hagrid took out a golden key from his pocket.
Examining the key, the goblin replied "we have some unfinished business to deal with the Potter heir, but in the meantime another teller can help you with your Hogwarts fault."
"That sunds good."
"He can be picked up at the offices in the second floor once you are finished."
Hagrid then turned around and wandered off to another teller.
"Hello Mr. Potter. Our magical records, which are only updated through lineage enchantments, show that you in fact have heirs of your own. A" here the goblin peered towards the document "Gravity and Electrostatic Potter."
"Well, not undisputed Potter. It appears to be a disputation between being Potters or Riddles. This is most unusual, as this birth does not appear natural, as it appears to have two fathers."
"What is this Riddle" asked Harry.
The goblin gave a half hesitant start. "Well, according to the records, it is a muggle family that seems to have mixed with the Gaunt family, a more recognized wizarding family. "
Harry, still suspicious of the birth all those years ago, is hesitant to take too much responsibility for the children. "Where could this Riddle be, and how could it have happened."
"That, I cannot tell. But what I can tell is that the Potters are known for being quite protective of their wealth. In fact, they technically owe a large debt to the Ministry of Magic, the wizarding government. The Potters, housed in their citadel in the marshes of Kent, have refused to pay their fair share, their legal obligation, of taxes for centuries. Something to do with their stance as hoarders, against what they claim is a movement of looting in wizarding society. Needless to say, their citadel has been attacked for centuries by the ministry, trying to regain their debts. Kidnappings and other schemes are tried every now and then. But it is not just the government that has a stake against the Potters, but sometimes a dark wizard as well.
Riddle could very well be a dark wizard, intent on taking advantage."
Harry took a step back to take in this new information, when Hagrid arrived through the cellar door and made his way to Harry.
