Chisaki had lost. There sat the young Yakuza patriarch, watching as the fifteen-year-old kid who dethroned him took away his only chance at reviving his father; his prized possession: the four-year-old girl, Eri.
He watched through blurred vision as the boy and girl collapsed to the floor, screaming in agony. "He doesn't know how to use her…," thought the man. "He'll never be able to use her, her power's just going to go to waste!" His mind raced with thoughts on how to stop the two, before, all of a sudden, they fainted.
"Good," thought Chisaki, "She's calmed down. Father still has a chance." Before he knew it, police sirens whirred through the air, as the judicial system came to collect Chisaki and his family.
"No," said Chisaki, pushing himself up from the rubble. He was too weak. Falling back onto the pile of rubble he had been resting on, the man began to panic. His breathing became heavy. However, through the panic, his mind raced once again with past events. He remembered something of uttermost importance in his pocket.
Using what strength he had, Chisaki reached into his pocket and pulled out a quirk-enhancing drug to revitalize himself. Feeling the drug rush through his system, Chisaki just had to play the waiting game, since this was one of the weaker drugs he had forced Eri to make him.
Police and pro heroes covered the scene, the whirring sirens caused Izuku to wake from his slumber. He gathered his bearings and his memories before looking over in the direction of the little girl he had just risked his life for. She was unconscious.
"Eri-chan," he whispered, pushing lightly on the little girl. "Eri-chan, are you okay?"
Stirring, Eri, opened her eyes and rubbed them. "Huh? Where am I?"
"We did it, Eri-chan. We won," said Izuku, smiling down at the sleepy girl. He looked past her and saw two police officers dragging the menace known as "Overhaul." He seemed to be unconscious. Seeing that the boy was looking past her, Eri turned to look at what he was staring at but was quickly stopped by Izuku.
"Don't worry about that, Eri. Just focus on me, okay?" he asked.
Confused, Eri nodded and did as he asked. She heard as a struggle broke out behind her, she wanted to look but kept her word to Izuku. She watched as Izuku grew a stern and aggressive look on his face. He covered her ears as she jumped a little bit. She watched as Izuku began to mumble something, it was a prayer.
Suddenly, through Izuku's hands, Eri heard the sound of three loud bangs. She found herself being spun around by the head. "It hurts!" she yelled. However, opening her eyes after the pain passed, she looked up to see Izuku looking down at her smiling. The grip on her head loosened as the boy seemed to turn a shade of white. Soon, his hands slipped entirely from over her ears before they dropped to her hands.
"You're going to be a great hero one day, Eri-chan," said Izuku as the only color on his face came from the blood trickling from the sides of his mouth. He soon fell to the shoulder of the little girl who was in shock. However, as the boy landed on her side, she watched as the man with the bird mask, Chisaki, had a smoking steel hand. For the first time in her life, Eri felt an intense rage. Rage directed at a single person. "CHISAKIIIII!"
The air was filled with a yellow glow from the lighting being emitted from her horn, which had grown exponentially in size.
Everything went black, silence filled the ears of the people that were no longer there.
Izuku sat up, inhaling deeply as though he hadn't taken a breath all of his life. "W-was that some sort of dream?!"
"Izuku, honey… it's time for school!" his mom yelled, throwing open the door to his room. "You don't want to be late on your first day at UA!"
"What?!"
Let me start off by saying "I'm sorry." I know that I've promised you guys over and over that I'm going to be posting more, and I know that most of you don't really care about me or whether or not I post, but even if there is one person out there that is a genuine fan of mine, I'm sorry.
I've been focusing a lot on myself recently, and I haven't really been writing all too much (if at all.) I've been super busy with work, and that coupled with my terrible sleep schedule and my lack of purpose/motivation to get up in the morning has really had me in such a bad state of mind. However, I'm trying to turn my life around and actually make something of myself. I have given myself goals to reach by the end of the year that should keep me busy. One of which is to reach 500 followers here, something I don't really want to say aloud, but I think that it will convey the fact that I do want to come back, something I hope you will be happy to hear.
Anyways, that's enough moping, I want to talk about this story. So, this story will contain heavy spoilers for the MHA anime series, so if you are an anime-only type of person, this story won't be great for you to read. READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. This story is still heavily in the works, the rating might change, it might not, only time will tell. This story was also inspired by the game Deathloop. Don't ask me what exactly it's about, since I haven't looked that far into it. I'm only basing this story on what I have heard and what I thought would be cool. So while it may be based on it, it's not really.
I'm also shocked by the number of people who love my story "Junction." Seriously, guys, I posted one chapter and the numbers are still going up. Although I don't like to consider myself a numbers person, it definitely does feel good to know that many people have read and enjoyed one of my stories. Thank you for all the support and I hope to write more in the near future.
P.S. (SINCE I KNOW YOU'LL READ THIS) Which story would you guys like to be my main focus on for now? I took down my One Piece story for personal reasons, but with a little modification, I can make it so I feel okay uploading it again. Just let me know!
