Harry travels tot he third floor corridor, where it is empty. Checking the doors of the hall, all are open to empty rooms, except one. Harry takes out his wand and unlocks the door. Entering the door the first thing he notices is a giant three headed dog. The second thing that he notices is a trap door that the dog is guarding.
The dog lunges at Harry, who quickly shuts the door.
Harry then hears Filch talking to his cat far away down the north entrance of the corridor. Running down the south entrance, Harry runs all the way back to the Slytherin dorms and into his room.
Harry contemplates what could be under that trap door, but is distracted by the dark reality of becoming a Dark Lord.
Harry is to be the Dark Lord for Earth and the New World. And to end up by putting the Earthlings in imprisoned reservations.
But there is an alternative.
An alternative to the dark reality, is for the Earthlings to have disenfranchised Earthlings travel to the alien empire, and to act as exploiters to that empire. By exploiting the empire, they help keep its identity, as a nation needs to be exploited in order to keep its identity. The Earthlings would have to lose their Earth citizenships. Harry, as a Dark Lord, would be part of the disenfranchised that travels to the alien empire.
Harry plans on creating a small nation of Earth that its only identity is that it exploits others with productive vices. Exploiting others results in the loss of the spirit of a nation, but what if exploiting others is the spirit of the nation. Harry plans for his citizens to become dual citizens with any nation to be exploited, and to place them in positions which advocate or work for the productive vices.
Harry starts writing down all the productive vices his Dark nation, Marshland, will practice and the vices they will occasionally commit. They key to survival is in the production of faith from the victims.
"Productive Vices: They produce hurt for a victim, but the victim has faith in its silver lining. The victim could however lose faith if things go to far. With enough faith, cohesion is the result. These vices when working properly help the group stay together.
Productive vices have their hurt component greater than the silver lining, and are objectively a vice.

11) Loan Shark. Hurts with high interest debt. Silver lining is that it provides quick cash.
12) Slave Ownership. Hurts with brutal conditions. Silver lining is guaranteed employment.
13) Commodities Speculator. Hurts with volatile food prices. Silver lining is long term price stability.
14) Alternative Doctor. Hurts by recommending ineffective health treatments that lead to the death of the patient by the original affliction. Silver lining is that there are no side effects.
15) Organ Harvesting from Criminals and Rebels. Hurts by taking organs from criminals. Silver lining is that the organs are better used by someone else.
16) Colonizer. Hurts by exploiting the nation. Silver lining is the infrastructure that is left behind.

The purpose of the productive vices is to be rebelled against by something unduplicable, such that faith is generated without the vice."
That is the future Earth is doomed to with Harry as its Dark Lord. But Harry needs time to build himself up, and Harry intends to somehow do it.
Harry needs resources to start his new nation, Marshland.
But first, he needs to know what is under that trapdoor.
