Fate: Damnit

Harry Potter/ Fate Stay Night

XI

Last Time

So far they'd been lucky to avoid the homunculus security and the variety of less than pleasant traps and curses that Yggdillmennia had set up; to deter defectors and intruders.

As they cleared the last of the boundary fields, they ran into a schoolgirl; only she was dressed in armour "Good evening, I am the Servant Ruler and you are?"

Sieg was transfixed, he'd never met anyone so beautiful. His hand itched and upon looking down saw a black mark in the shape of a dragon "My name is Sieg, Ruler."

Ruler nodded "Pleasure to meet you, Sieg."

Any further conversation was interrupted as Ruler, as Astolfo giggled "Oh this is beautiful, does Sieg have a crush?"

"Rider of Black; Astolfo…" Began Ruler, but the conversation between them was halted as the entirety of the Black Faction descended upon them.

(Harry and Mordred)

"That was some pretty fine skill at shaking our team, Master." Mordred commented.

"Please, Mordred, don't call me that. I know that's typically what our bond is; but please don't refer to me as 'master'." Mordred scoffed, the power he was emitting and had in reserve; despite being used to summon two servants already and then bound her to him...it spoke volumes about the power her new Master had at his disposal.

"I've gotta say I'm impressed. I don't think many masters or men in general would have agreed to my request." This was in reference to the extremely short shorts and tube top she was currently wearing; Harry smirked, he could see the attempted teenage ribald humour. He wasn't above the humour, but he didn't participate that often.

"Mordred, what do you remember about Camelot? You were one of the Thirteen, genderbend bullshit from your mothers aside?"

He was met by a spike of killing intent and found Clarent near his throat "Enough with insinuation or I will…"

"Kill me? Unlikely, how many Mages can you think of that can not only supply one other Servant but also INCREASE your parameters?"

"Wait, what…"

"Clarent is nominally a B-rank; since you stole Clarent it degraded to a C-rank; but I'm bolstering it back to a B-rank borderline A-rank. Clarent is a blade for fighting, it's more ceremonial than anything Mordred. It's known as the Radiant and Brilliant Royal Sword, for a reason."

Harry then found his eyeballs bulging as Mordred pulled him into a bone cracking hug "Thank you! I knew I felt stronger but I thought that was because of our compatibility."

"Yeah Mage-Servant Duo Team Shat On. You because of Artoria and myself due to the Wizarding Ostrich; bury head in the sand and deny and get Harry to clean up. Speaking of what do you desire from the grail?"

Mordred paused "I want to prove to that the Sword of Selection would have chosen me to be the rightful Heir to Arthur."

Due to meeting his Assassin and Caster selves, Harry was beginning to experience a minor 'bleed over'. As a result of the bleed over Harry's observation and senses had sharpened. "I support your wish, but, Mordred, I don't think that's entirely true."

Mordred paused "How so? I'd advise you to speak carefully."

Harry scoffed "Personally, I think your desire to prove you're the legitimate heir is a ruse short for 'I want my father to acknowledge me as his son and I want him to accept me'. Personally, your mother is a a bitch for being the cause of infighting amongst the Britons. And no I'm not just saying that because my family got shafted by her…mostly."

Mordred paused, her body shook "How…? How do you know this? You shouldn't be able to read me so clearly! The armour of pedigree is supposed to mask everything akin to the Berserker Madness Enhancement."

"I can read you because the heart you felt when you were alive is the same heart that beats inside me. You wanted to be acknowledged as Artoria's son, I want a family to love and be loved by. All I got was a mass of magical power, some artifacts and titles and you well Camlann was flustercuck."

Mordred blushed at that "I didn't think that through effectively."

Harry shrugged, he stopped as a soft-wind chime echoed in his ear "Someone tripped my proximity charms…get ready for some company." Mordred's face cracked into a grin.

"Orders?"

"Show me what you can do, Scion of Arthur."

Harry summoned his patrons "Caster and Master of Caster, initiating contact with unknown combatants. Suspected Black Faction."

(Ruler et Al.)

Jaune effortlessly parried a rushed strike from Gordes Yggdillmennia, retaliating with a strike to the gut. The fat master of saber doubled over from the lovetap.

"I state this now Masters of Black; this homunculus shall have no part of this Great Holy Grail War."

Vlad nodded "Very well Ruler, if that is your decree, we shall withdraw."

Jaune kept her face blank, she watched as the Black Faction, including Astolfo, retreated. One of Jaune's skills as a ruler was the ability to remove, bestow and restore a Masters command seals; considering the fact that a team had twenty-one seals between meant to spend them frivolously like Gordes Musik evidently had meant they'd, he, would intervene in the Great Holy Grail War to get another two seals.

However, Siegfried the Dragonknight had ripped out his heart and given it to Sieg; whom was now accompanying her. "What happens now?"

"You're free...you have the ability to choose."

(Red Faction)

"You're absolutely fine with Harry wandering off with his newly acquired servant? What about our strategy?" Snapped Rin.

Hermione smirked "You'd never get Harry to do anything he doesn't want to do. Now I know what you're thinking, binding and obedience spells should do the trick…Harry is too powerful to be bound to someone's will. I believe, I know, Harry would gleefully rip this team apart if it was to even be thought that was even the case."

"Not if we got him with sealing designations."

This triggered Artoria "Rin, regardless of our previous relationship as Master and Servant; messing with a Clan that has protected and sworn itself to Camelot will have me to contend with."

Shirou summoned his swords "I'm backing Artoria to the end on this one, Tohsaka."

Rin pouted "But he could be the basis for revolutionising Magecraft!"

"He could, I could, but we won't be. I wondered why Harry and Mordred worked well together. But the answers are rather clear." Gray stated, her hair turning a honey blonde. Not looking at the Lancer she began to speak "He's been vilified, libelled, slandered and betrayed; for everything he's done. Mordred is much the same."

Hermione nodded "Gray makes perfect sense. The-Man-Who-Won and the Knight of Betrayal a fitting pair."

Artoria sighed "I cannot say for truth about my Saber-self, but I have always valued Mordred. As a King I couldn't show emotion as I was supposedly to be unjudging…I always valued my Knights of the Round Table, even those born of my sister."

"But you never told him. You never told Mordred, my bond with Hailey gives me a measure of foresight and thus predictability with any version of Harry. He acknowledges Mordred and his dreams, or rather her dreams."

(Mordred and Harry)

Mordred whooped as she went airborne and effortlessly destroyed three golems in one go. Her eyes widened as Harry slammed his palm into the ground, which rippled with power throwing a lance of force into the charging homunculi. The first six homunculi disintegrated under the initial pulse of energy; the others were thrown across the street.

Harry vanished with a sharp crack, he appeared on the roof. A wand appeared in his hand, words were spoken as reality contorted as a gout of flame roared into existence. "Nicely done Harry!"

"You weren't so bad either." Harry replied, a faint sheen of sweat on his brow.

"That taxing for you?"

"Not really, maintaining a glutton of a servant like yourself, no offence Mordred; has decreased my own personal power outage in terms of mystic code/rituals and magic by something like 50%, I'm also maintaining you with 40% of my magical crest. So all in all Mordred, I can't fight our enemies head on for as long as I'd like; but for the duration of us fighting together it's incredible."

Mordred grinned at the 'glutton' comment "Shows how badass, I am to be summoned as a Saber. Furthermore how badass Sabers are in general. Damn, so why didn't you do a multibond? I mean you're doing quite a bit with Lugh."

"Lugh has a secret factor, all Servants do. When summoned by a blood relative the amount of power drained is notably less."

Mordred's eyes widened "Stupid godly shenanigans."

"Beneficial shenanigans, Mordred, you know that. Hell your skill set whilst impressive has probably increased."

Mordred stopped "That's supposedly impossible."

"Nothing is impossible, just very unlikely. I happen to be an immensely powerful spellcaster who has a counter-force genderbent version of himself."

As they headed through the streets of Trifas, Mordred looked up. Above them she noticed something "Harry, do you see that?"

Harry looked up "The Flying Fortress? You mean, as I'm pretty sure I see it; could be the mici. You know it?"

"Perk of being a Servant. It's a Noble Phantasm; this is the Hanging Garden, Hanging Garden of Babylon to be precise…it belongs to Semiramis."

"Semiramis who now?"

Mordred sighed "I never took you for a fool, Master…"

Harry fixed her with a look "I was raised as a Slave, Saber." Mordred winced, she'd quickly grown to appreciate the lacksidisal first name basis Harry and Her had with one another and to be addressed as her class stung, slightly more than it should have.

"I'm not sure what class she is, she's known to be the Wise Queen of Assyria."

Harry gulped "Wunderbar, Mordred. I know of the Wise Queen; a known poisoner and skilled magician. Considering what we know of the White Faction, with their Masters not being seen...meaning suborned or dead then we have no idea if Semiramis is a Caster with Assassin attributes or vice versa."

Mordred sighed "Berserker is/was Spartacus. Lancer is Karna, which you know. Rider is Achilles, as you know. Archer is Atalanta, Caster is someone by the name of William Shakespeare?"

Harry's jaw dropped.

(Dudley)

"Something the matter Master?" It was Lugh.

"Just concerned and confused…"

"Why you and not your cousin? What qualities do you have to someone like me? How did I, someone who isn't even a magus, summon a servant as potent as myself. Am I even able to do anything without my cousin." Lugh stated, Dudley stilled.

"Master, I chose you because your internal plea resonated with me. You're my distant descendent after all, your ancestor is my son Setanta. Yes you treated you kin awfully but that's not all your doing. As for not being a magus, you wouldn't be the first. The Masters of Lancer and Rider will attest to that. As for without your cousin yes. I do know that your cousin has a different path; in fact you're the only one who's going to be able to stop him from making a pact with the Spirit of Humanity."

Shiro stiffened "How can I help? I'm Emiya Shiro and in a future I become a Counter-Force Guardian."

Lugh turned "Ah, you. The sheath to Excalibur; I'm surprised you haven't worked out what you are."

"Explain, Lord of Light. I doubt an entity like yourself could withstand my lance. I will strike you down if you threaten my consort." Artoria growled.

Lugh chuckled "For him to access Avalon, he needs to be something else. His origin and element should say what he'd become; as for me killing or even threatening him…the reason he can only be summoned as an Archer is because Gaia and Alaya need a VERY good reason to summon your consort and master."

Shiro's eyes widened "You mean I'm a Saber Servant?"

"Beyond…you're so beyond the power of a traditional Saber servant, you require specialist circumstances to summon you. You're a lynchpin Emiya Shiro; no matter the path you walk you always have the same goal. The stimulus for your desire may vary from a fireman saving you, Kiritsugu implanting you with Avalon, it does not matter. You're destined to be a hero, same as Harry Potter."

Hermione slumped in the corner of the room, Hailey joined her. The Caster had shed her robes leaving her in a red and gold tight hooded jumper, skinny jeans and black boots "Don't worry Hermione, much like Shiro is destined to be a hero as am I."

Hermione looked at the female version of her friend "When Harry summoned you…"

Hailey grinned "In my time, Hermione you were a bloke. Hector and You…I look at you and I see him staring right back at me. He and I…"

Hermione blushed "We…were…"

"Lovers yes. Ginny and Ronald betrayed us; you didn't survive unfortunately but I made them suffer. When I saw you and my little brother…I saw the exact same bond. The pair of you are the only people keeping each other sane and stable." With that Hailey kissed Hermione on the lips.

Hailey broke away "I'm sorry, I had to. Have you got a wish on the grail?"

Hermione paused "I havent thought about it. Do you?"

Hailey blushed "I…wouldn't mind a second chance of life or existence. I'll be plain Hermione, you and Harry; Hector and I, we never got the chance for a happy ending."

Hermione looked at her Servant "I've…always held a candle for Harry. Fuck it as Harry would say, in for a penny and in for a pound let's get our happy ending."

Hailey grinned "You do know Harry's never been knocked unconscious with a rolling pin before…"
