"Are you okay, Kaachan? It looks like that fall hurt!"

...

"Out of my way, Deku!"

...

"Kaachan! That hurt! Why did you hit me?"

...

"Get out of my sight, you worthless fucking Deku. You'll never amount to anything."

...

"Kaachan, why are you being so mean?"

...

"If you really want to be someone, maybe you should take a swan dive off the roof and hope to have a desirable personality in the next life!

...

"Class, I'm announcing that Bakugou Katsuki has moved to Tokyo, which is why he isn't here."

...

Izuku woke to his alarm. Running his eyes, he checked the time.

6:30 AM

He nodded and rose from his sheets, making his way to the bathroom. 'Its that dream again. Why is it back? I could have sworn that guy got what he deserved.'

He spat out toothpaste and rinsed, his still tired eyes not daring to view the god awful bedhead that threatened his brush.

'Who exactly is Kaachan anyway? I can't remember anyone with that name.' Grabbing a slice of bread off the counter, he started chewing on it and made his way to his music room. (Previously the shared closet between him and his mom)

Picking up his violin case and music, he put on the school blazer that was hung on the door. He walked out of his apartment with everything he needed, and walked to the train station. 'It's not like the guy was important, anyways. I really hope he's doing better. It must suck to be that full of hatred.'

"Midoriya!"

He looked up and smiled. Running to him was Jirou, Yaoyorozu, Bakugou, Fumikage, and Katsuki, with Jirou wearing a similar outfit as him. His eyes did wander a bit when he saw Jirou. He couldn't help but blush at her brightening smile, her fingers that twirled around the straps of her bag, the way her leggings hugged her gloriously toned legs-

'STOP IT IZUKU!'

"So, we going or what?"

"H-huh?" Izuku stammered like an amp overloaded his brain. His blush deepened. He hated it when his brain forced his thoughts on a tangent.

"To the university. We going, or you gonna keep staring into space?" Jirou tilted her head in curiosity. Never had she met someone this airheaded; well, except Kaminari. The difference was that Midoriya was cuter.

She had to admit Midoriya was a hell of a lot cuter than dunceface.

She thanked her lucky stars that her green haired friend failed to notice her blush.

Over the couple of months that she knew him, her bandmates finally got to befriend Midoriya. They got along fine with him, albeit the tense feelings she was forced to stomach when Momo and Midoriya played duets at the restaurant. Momo already knew about her alleged "crush" on Midoriya, so there weren't any problems, right? Just tell him she likes him, easy peasy. It's not like she finally admitted to her tall friend that she definitely had it bad for him.

The problem was that her grennette friend was constantly surrounded by girls. Attractive girls. Girls that made her feel super self-conscious. Kodai, Toga, even Cammie. They all had qualities she couldn't dream of having. And they were all physical.

"-Thought of hitting the store for a protein shake before going to class. What say you, Jirou?"

She snapped to attention. "Y-yeah, sure, whatever you want." She internally groaned. 'What the ever living fuck was that?!'

She strayed at the back of the group, barely recognizing the odd stare from Bakugou, and the ever knowing smile from Momo. Grunting, Bakugou walked ahead to catch up with Midoriya, trading tips of exercises to better both their training styles.

Momo slowed down to allow Jirou to catch up. She scoffed. "Men." She rolled her eyes. "Always thinking of brawn rather than brain, am I right?" Jirou laughed. She couldn't exactly disagree. She did notice a physical change with her green crush, and she wasn't complaining.

"So," Momo introduced a new topic. "When are you going to tell him? You're not exactly being subtle about him."

Jirou's brain almost shut down. "I'm going to tell him! I just need him alone to make my move. Don't worry."

Momo scoffed, her voice laced with sarcasm. "Please, Kyo. You've played that song and dance for two months now. I've started to assume you started thinking of other guys, like Katsuki."

The purplette scowled in disgust. "You know that was a one time crush! As if you're one to talk, with your thing for Kaminari of all people."

Momo simply shrugged. "I will admit it was a passing phase. I don't regret anything, since I've succeeded in actually getting a boyfriend."

Jirou sighed. Her friend did have a point. Momo and Todoroki have been dating for as long as her group started hanging out with Midoriya more. In fact, Momo even brought up the concept of double dating if she ever grew the balls to ask Midoriya out.

Speaking of, she almost bumped into him when he suddenly stopped. "What's going on?"

Midoriya smiled, causing the ever persistent butterflies to form in Jirou's stomach. "Oh, we're here!" Her blush came back with a vengeance after seeing how bright his smile became.

Momo giggled as she yanked Jirou through the open door.

"Kyo," Her voice was a whisper. "If you don't tell him soon, I will."

Jirou could only watch Momo's retreating form with a look of shock. She shook her head, passing a glance at Midoriya conversing with Fumikage and Kaminari. "I will, Momo, and soon." She smiled warmly at seeing her freckled crush laugh heartily.

"Definitely soon." She started planning.

"Midoriya! You and me Friday night, six pm, downtown! How about it?"

And thus, all of the planning Jirou made came to a screeching halt. She glared at Toga with anger and shock. How was she to know the energetic girl was making her move so soon?

"O-oh, I'm, I'd rather-"

"Great! It's a date! See you then, Midoriya~" Toga blew him a kiss before walking off.

"What just happened?" Was all Izuku could spew. He looked at Jirou and frowned. She looked...miserable?

"Jirou, are you-"

"What the fuck, Greeny!"

Nope, she was angry, but at him? Why?

"Jirou?" He was officially scared now. The glare she sent him intensified by the seconds. He reached out and attempted to place his hand on her shoulder.

He wasn't surprised to see it shrugged off.

So he tried speaking again. "Jirou, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." She huffed.

Try as he might, he just couldn't get an answer from the purplette. He tried talking prodding, even jokes, but NOTHING worked!

Izuku wanted to pull his hair out. Women were so frustrating sometimes. Something was up, and he was pretty sure what was the cause.

"Jirou, it's not nothing. Are you bothered by me or Toga's declaration?"

Jirou glanced at him for a mere second in surprise. 'So he's not as dense as I thought. Fuck, I really don't want him with Toga.'

Izuku's right brow arched in surprise. "Insult aside, why are you against me with Toga? Not that I actually want to date her, but still."

Jirou glanced at him, almost unbelievably. 'I really said all that out loud?'

'Wait…'

"You don't want to go out with her?"

"Answer the question and I'll tell you."

She looked away, eyeing the wall. "I'm against you with her cause ialreadylikeyouanddontwanttoseeyoutakenfromme."

Two blinks. "What was that?" Izuku already knew about mumbling plenty from personal experience, but even he couldn't catch all of that.

Jirou breathed out slowly. "It's just, I-" Her lungs hitched when Izuku tilted his head in curiosity. 'How dare he be so cute in this moment!'

He nodded. "Okay?"

Jirou froze. Did she actually want to confess her feelings this way? To be backed into a corner, retaliating like a mouse when trapped by a cat?

Suddenly, the air around her head felt constricted. She could barely breathe, yet her breathing increased rapidly. Every sound around her felt like she was underwater.

Then, out of nowhere, two grips were placed on each shoulder, snapping her mind from the haze. Looking up, her eyes stared into emerald pools, one set of eyes filled with anxiety, while the other was filled with concern.

"Are you okay?"

Three words was what it took for her to snap out of her fear filled moment. Grabbing her phone, she pulled up the music app, and searched.

"What ar-"

"Hold on, please." She added that plead just so she wouldn't be super rude. Her eyes brightened when they spotted the song.

Looking back up to her freckled crush, she smiled.

"Let the music speak, just for a moment."

'God, that was so cheesy.' She felt her left eye twitch as she said that. Luckily, Midoriya didn't grimace. He simply nodded.

She handed him her headphones, watching as her anxiety pooled back up, threatening to spill. What if he thought she was a creep? A wannabe? Would he hate her after hearing the song?

She was going to have to find out.

Izuku smiled as the music played. It was...her. He listened intently as the vocals came up:

Song: Ref:rain by Aimer

English lyrics:

Raining, in a rain shower

of a summer afternoon under an umbrella

Kissing, I gently kissed your wet cheek

I'm still longing for that season

Miss you, outside my window the scenery fades away

Breezing, I saw a rainbow that seemed to disappear right away

I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow

Unable to focus on anything, I've been daydreaming these days

Nothing but you're the part of me

It's still not enough

It still won't fade away

Innocence still is in the palms of our joined hands

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

I'm soaked by these phrases like I've been in the rain

It's still not enough

I still can't say

The goodbye that I dreamed in the days when I've been counting

What a good thing we lose

What a bad thing we knew

If we had never touched, would we be smiling now?

Calling, beneath a sky where our white breaths soar

Freezing, the strong wind chills my hands a bit

And along with my weakness, they're inside my pockets

No matter where I look, the days have passed me by

Nothing but you're the part of me

I still want to feel you

But you're so radiant

That I instinctively turn my eyes away

From the light of your kindness

I wanna sleep in your feel

I wanna see you in the deep

These phrases lined up the song I sing now

Making the same way home, cradled by the bus

I saw a dream that seemed like it wouldn't come true

I wanna sleep in your feel

I wanna see you in the deep

I'm still not familiar with the repetition of the same events from that season

If I had been a little more mature, what could I have said?

It's still not enough

It still won't fade away

Innocence still is in the palms of our joined hands

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

I'm soaked by these phrases like I've been in the rain

It's still not enough

I still can't say

The goodbye that I dreamed in the days when I've been counting

What a good thing we lose

What a bad thing we knew

If we had never touched, would we be smiling now?

The song finished, and Jirou was a blushing mess. She knew it finished when Izuku gently pressed the pause button on the screen.

He smiled at her. Placing the phone down, he looked her in the eyes.

"You like me."

It wasn't a question. Just a matter of fact. To say Jirou was stunned was an understatement. In turn, her response would have to be as intellectual.

"I- I uh, uh, well, uh…" her voice died off. 'Way to go, Kyoka.'

"I'll be right back."

Jirou watched his retreating form in anguish. 'Am I really that bad? I knew it. He doesn't see me that way. Fuck, why do I even try?'

{With Izuku}

As he walked down the corridor of the building he was in, his eyes vigorously scanned the halls and rooms for Toga. 'I need to tell her that I'm not going to date her! I already have feelings for someone else, yeah that'll work.'

"Midoriya?"

'Probably.'

His eyes shook as the girl he was looking for walked right up to him.

"Toga, I can't go out with you."

And with that he turned to retreat, just before a hand latched onto his wrist. He looked to the assailant, and his eyes widened slightly at the mischievous, yet threatening, smile that was on the blonde's face.

"Midoriya, can you tell me just what you told me?"

If he had one brain cell working at the time, he could have broken from her grip. However, none of them were operating at the time.

"Well, what I'm trying to say is…"

The girl tilted her head in amusement. "Go on."

"Um, I'm interested in someone else. I'm sorry."

He barely dodged the swipe Toga aimed at him. Fortunately for him, he was able to break from her grip. Rubbing his arm, he started to stumble backwards from the vexed girl.

"You do realize that once I want you, you can't have anyone but me, right?"

If Izuku had any good opinions of her until now, they were blown away.

'She's insane!'

Without wasting time, he ran. Deeming it as the best possible action, he needed to get away from her.

He looked behind him, and relaxed slightly when he saw she didn't give chase. That didn't mean he'd slow down.

Eventually, he returned back to where he'd left Jirou. He felt bad that he left her hanging, and he intended to make it up to her.

On the outside, he was calm. On the inside, all klaxon alarms were going off in a frenzy.

She liked him. And she didn't deny it.

So how could he explain that he felt the same way, when she wasn't even here?!

'she probably felt that I abandoned her.'

Then he saw it; the neck of a guitar on the floor beneath him, with small, dainty hands commanding it to play. He watched and listened as the angelic voice of his crush sang a song he'd never heard of, yet it sounded amazing anyway.

Leaning on the railing, his eyes focused on the small smile Jirou provided as her hands moved. The way her eyes glistened with happiness, the way she just...looked.

The railing was all that held him from jumping down and kissing her.

Eventually, to his disappointment, the song ended, the smile in her eyes slowly turned into mourning.

It's funny how love can turn the feeling of sadness into something completely alien for the desired.

Izuku's hands tensed when he saw her cry. So instead of rushing down immediately…

"Jirou!"

...he called out to her. Honestly, he wasn't the best at making plans.

He sighed in relief as she turned his direction, surprise etched in her face. He smiled. "Wait there!" So he began to turn to the stairs…

…only to trip and fall backwards over the railing.

With a mighty shriek, his body plummeted to the floor beneath him, his mind replaying his entire life like a broken record.

"Izuku!" Jirou bolted to him as he fell. Dropping her guitar, she leapt to his location. She grunted as he fell into her arms, obviously not expecting the sudden weight as they crumpled.

"I guess you could say I've fallen for you." Izuku waggled his eyebrows as he glanced at her, grinning cheekily while she caught her breath. "Thanks Jirou, that was a close one."

"Idiot. What made you think that kind of stunt would be okay?"

He smiled. "Honestly, I didn't expect to fall at all. I'm just lucky you were here."

Jirou shook her head. "So what did you need me for?"

The vernadette grinned. "How about dinner, Friday night, let's say seven?"

Her jaw dropped. "Are you asking me out?"

His grin turned sly.

She blushed. "Alright, I choose where. You better not be late!"

Izuku chuckled. "It's a deal." He looked down. "You going to let me down now?"

"Give me a minute."

He only smiled.
