Chapter 7: Sabotage

Bomis Koori IV belonges to a pocket of Koorivar colony worlds, it hosted Corporate Alliance factories that are responsible for the largest production of battle droids in the Mid Rim.

A male Koorivar from Murkhana, Oro Dassyne works for the Corporate Alliance as an Acquisitions Specialist and Special Markets Director. Dassyne enjoys warfare, and took pleasure in using the Alliance's NR-N99 Persuader-class droid enforcers to collect payment from customers or to intimidate business rivals. Dassyne is later granted generalship by Passel Argente, Magistrate of the Corporate Alliance, who had been impressed with Dassyne's body of work.

Once the Clone Wars broke out, Dassyne was stationed on Murkhana, headquarters of the Corporate Alliance, which had joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, Murkhana was very isolated, and, wishing to be involved in the fighting, Dassyne requested a transfer elsewhere. He was moved to Bomis Koori IV, a colony world controlled by the Alliance that housed many battle droid factories. Dassyne used the war to add to his personal collection, taking valuable literature and artwork from conquered planets. However, Dassyne's demand to be in battle backfired when one of his horns—status symbols in Koorivar culture—was shattered. To cover this, Dassyne wore an enlarged miter.

All the while, Dassyne built up his arsenal on Bomis Koori IV, creating a fort he believed to be impenetrable. Whereas in the past he had relied on clever strategy, Dassyne now depended solely on numbers and spent all his efforts on fortifying his stronghold with more weaponry. The Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic did battle on Bomis Koori IV. Dassyne is confident in his defenses, stating that the Republic would need at least one hundred Jedi to conquer the planet.

Due to the other battles on the battlefront that is viewed as much more important by the higher ups, the Jedi Council and the Republic had yet not sent a strike team after the General, but there are rumors that it is being arranged. There were also rumors that the Council was going to send Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to apprehend him, but then the Temple bombing occurred...

Battle droids scoured the planet, searching up and down for Republic's troops as the Republic could be extremely stealthy.

From behind a rock, a hooded figure emerges, and they raise their hand, sending a nearby rock that alerts a platoon of droids who immediately went to investigate.

Utilizing this, they snuck up closer to the base before halting. Battalions of droids stand in their way, blasters not prime but readied. They aren't yet aware of their presence but they are guarding this fortress for this intruder; the General is intelligent indeed to ready for a stealth missions and being able to counter them.

Raising their right hand, a bunch of droids is sent out of the way, alerting other droids to their direction. Immediately, they outstretch their left hand and the droids are lifted up in the air before they drop on the surface, destroyed simultaneously.

They dug into a nearby tunnel and begins running through the dirty sewers, knowing that there is a shield generator that would allow them access to the fort without problems arising to stop them.

Climbing up ladders. Walking through dirt and mud. And a lot of sneaking which isn't exactly their expertise due to being on the front-lines just previously.

But simply outwardly associating with the Jedi is a risk now that they are their highest enemy with slaying one of their own so they operate in the shadows. Once this war is over, they would retreat in the shadows, disappearing.

But such thoughts mustn't slow them down.

Finally approaching the last ladder, they open the hatch and jump up, activating their lightsaber and cutting the droids down. One of the droids attempts to press the alarm button, but they reach out, seizing the droid before clenching their hand and the droid is reduced to strap metal.

Smirking, they deactivate their lightsaber and plant it on their belt before planting bombs around the shield generator carefully and setting off a timer.

Dashing away in the sewer they use to climb up here to begin with, the bombs blew up, and a smirk comes across their lip at the thundering.

Now it's time to deal with Oro Dassyne.

Oro Dassyne, a Confederacy of Independent Systems general, maintained a fort that was gray in color. The structure's walls were ray-shielded. Since the planet Bomis Koori IV is important to the Corporate Alliance, as it was described to be the fulcrum of its defense of surrounding star systems, Dassyne increased the structure's defensive arsenal. As a result of the weapons buildup, laser cannon emplacements were present throughout the facade of the structure. The cocky General believes that the structure itself was impenetrable and imagined that it would take an army of Jedi to capture it. Along with Dassyne, a number of B1 battle droids were present in the fort.

To think, all the Republic has to do is deactivate the ray shield and they would be able to proceed with a bombardment but all the Republic cares about is the planet that threatens them. The greedy politicians and Senators are someone who they would see to a development soon enough.

The Republic will crumble, and only Senators like Bail Organa and Padmé Amidala shall seize power. The corruption must be dealt with.

But now is not the time to dwell on such trivial matters.

They approach the fort, activating their white lightsaber and beginning to hack away at the droids. The droids all cocks their guns at who they assume to be a Jedi and alarms begin to sound.

They didn't hesitate as they hack away at the droids with such effectively one can assume they are a juggernaut.

The droids all fire at the figure who deflect every single shot; most returning to the ones that fired them themselves.

Battalions of droids are already scrap-piles as the figure moves quickly. The figure throws their lightsaber at the droids which are cut down in almost a blur before approaching the walls of the fort and jumping up.

"Kill them!" The General snarls.

The droids fire but the only thing they are successful at is getting shot down by their own blaster fire or motivating their death.

The droid beside the General fire but the figure raise their lightsaber to deflect the blaster bolt back into the droid which causes the b1 to fall off.

Pointing their lightsaber at the War General, they begin to approach. "Ord Dassyne," growls the figure. "You are under arrest."

The General greatly enjoys war and wants to be involved in the fighting at the front lines. While Dassyne initially relied on strategy rather than brute force, he later changed his style once he was stationed on Bomis Koori IV, and began to depend solely on firepower rather than tactics.

"I will not be a war criminal to the Republic, Jedi," the General snaps, punching the figure before grabbing a nearby blaster that a droid drop from earlier and beginning to fire.

They deflect each blaster bolt elsewhere, approaching all the while, while the General continues to back up.

And eventually, one bolt connected to his stomach and he staggers before falling off.

The figure growls as they jump off themselves but only saw a dead corpse of the General.

Suddenly, their Hologram beep, and they activate it.

"Uncle Ani, are you o-ikay?"

Anakin Skywalker sighs as they deactivate their lightsaber, not in remorse but in frustration. "Yes, but the mission here is a failure. I will be there soon. Pilot the ship to the outpost."

In the Republic, no one would question why the General is dead; the war has casualties on both sides so peaceful situations and outcomes are very unlikely these days.

The little girl did as he had just ordered, and Anakin begins planting bombs around the fort that would bring it down completely and also obliterate whatever of the battle droids that are remaining.

Walking away from the base, Anakin smirks. The Republic would eventually come and destroy whatever droids that are left in the city. While he has failed in his task in apprehending the General, war is not easy, not for everyone involved.

He lifts up the dead man and brings him along with the Force and places him on top of the hanger ramp before he presses the trigger as he walks on the ship, smirking as the bomb explodes from behind him, hundreds of battle droids being decimated in one swift stroke while he walks away calmly. He had missed the feeling of war, being able to test his lightsaber skill, leading his men to the front, but now, he is granted a second chance; a Jedi no more but a man.

The difference is unlike before, no one controls his destiny now.
