/Author notes:
Ok, let's make this clear, shall we… I added some cards to both Aichi and Kai decks, each from the G era. Wingal youth and Blaster-friend, Bargal for Aichi; and for Kai it was Lizard general, Conroe.
Sure, Lizard General makes The Rival OP as fuck, but I'll probably not gonna change they're decklists until the 3rd booster, in which the greatest change will be the return of Gancelot support, alongside with Granblue, Link Joker (New support for Stars), Dark Irregulars (Werewolves), Pale Moon and Spike Brothers; Shadow Paladins (Mordred); Gold Paladin (Singular lion, Bluish Ezel support); Narukami (Teal support); and Angel Feather (Ofanins)… so yeah, Limit Break will make an early appearance with these ones, together with a possible return from Singularity Points (Mainly in Shadow Paladin, Gold Paladin and Angel Feather).
For the second pack, however, the biggest changes were this: Royal paladin Blasters, Alfred and Prominence support; Dimensional Police (Nibiru) and Mega colony (Arachnoids) who'll make an appearance soon enough; Kagero (Both Overlord support alongside Teal introduction); Genesis; Aqua Force support; Shadow paladin (Blasters Support); further Link Joker support; Gran blue and Nova Grappler;
As for set 1, it was pretty much everything that appeared on arc prologue.
Now, onto the questions… shall we?
First let's start with the questions from chapter 15:
Daringbunny: It's all good. I mean, I'm late with the chapters most of the time, so you don't need to apologize.
Also, yeah… I can see that's happening where Kanzaki is concerned. The thing here is, this one will be a bit different from cannon Kanzaki. For starters, yeah, he believe weakness is a sin, but he got a stronger reason for that than simply: "I was defeated by Ryuzu and now I suddenly need more power".
Like I said before, this will be different from normal Vanguard. I want the characters here to feel real before all else.
Hnh058513: Oh well, you'll find out today.
BladeBlaster: Yeah, I mean… I was planning for him to be the coach for Aichi's team, and since there's no time better than the present, I thought it would be ideal for Aichi and him to met now.
Camilo navas: Thanks mate, also… speaking about mates, the last two members from the divine beasts quintet. I know for a fact that everyone thought that I was gonna make quatre knights with Jugo… but that'll be too easy. Plus I have other plans for Rati, so yeah… for now, only Gaillard, Serra and Neve will make an appearance from the quatre knights.
Now for chapter 14:
Krislee Tomioka: Yeah, I just had the craziest months let me tell ya, but hey… at least I'm back, I guess…
Also, I really don't think those two have much chemistry going on except for the fact both are the Jesters of the group… but since Miwa will mostly be a different character from cannon here, I'll probably gonna make it happen, only not in the way most people see it happening.
Guest: Thanks brother. Also, yeah… Majesty is here and will be part of Aichi's deck until the next Tale… ok, this'll probably create some hype. Let's just say that I'll cover everything from this vanguard timeline, even G.
daringbunny88: Thanks, I really appreciate it. Also, yeah… Psyqualia arc will be a lot different from the anime… to be fair, this whole Tale is a Psyqualia Saga. The think is, the event that is happening now will be known as the first Reverse War, also known as 'The shadow kingdom civil war'. Let's just say that it is called the coup d'eat arc for a reason… after all, the entire world will change with Jun's fall.
Anyways, that's that for the review. Now, onto the chapter./
"Stand up, vanguard!" The two said, Aichi eyed the youth in front of him, his dark long locks were almost flowing with his aura, white smooth skin that looked like milk and his eyes were black and devoid of anything. He also wore a red sweater and a blue jeans.
"Battleraizer!"
"Wingal Brave!" Aichi cried, eyeing his unit, and remembering instantly about Kamui. 'So, he also uses a Nova Grappler deck?'
"Focus, Sendou!" Aichi squeaked, hearing the harsh voice of his mentor, who eyed him sternly. "If you dare to lose, you will not receive help from me."
"Yes!"
"That's quite the relation you have… don't worry, soon you'll both be reversed." The youth said, drawing his first card. "I ride Shout! Then, I use his skill. I drop one card, and draw one."
"My turn then. I stand and draw. I ride! Lake Mainden, Lien! Wingal moves back. Lien attacks! Drive check. Get, draw trigger! I draw one, and Lien gains plus 5000." He moved Wingal to his back row, and attacked the youth, who recoiled.
'Even at grade one, he's intense!' The reverse fighter was smiling, and then, he drew.

"My turn, then. I stand and draw. I ride King of Swords, and then I call Tough Boy!" He eyed Aichi like a wolf looks at a deer. "Tough Boy!"
"I guard with Govannon!"
"Boosted by Battlerizer, my vanguard attacks!" The reverse fighter smiled at seeing Aichi preparing to receive damage. "Drive check… get, critical trigger!"
"Damage check! First, second… get, draw trigger. I draw one and Lien gains plus 5000." The reverse fighter then used Battlerizer skill and drew one by returning the stand to the deck. Aichi then drew his card, and smirked, his Aura getting thicker and more visible. "I ride! Lop Ear Archer! Her skill activates! I soulblast one, and then I look at the top 3 cards from my deck, and call one unit among them. I call Blaster Dark. Then, I call Lien."
Kanzaki eyed the fight, his interest building as he saw his pupil build his board.
"Boosted by Wingal, Blaster Dark!"
"I won't guard. Damage check, get! Stand trigger!"
"Wingal skill! He goes to the soul, and then, I search my deck for a unit with Blaster in it's card name!" Aichi then added his new unit, Majesty Lord Blaster, to his hand. 'Perfect.' "Boosted by Lien, my vanguard attacks!"
"I guard with Red lighting!"
"Drive check… get, draw trigger! I draw one, and end my turn."

"So? You added another weakling to your hand… what does this amount against this? I stand and draw!" The reverse fighter drew and held one of his cards up in the air, his aura becoming thicker and darker with each passing second. "You, who came from beyond the gates, extinguish all hope with a single swing from your mighty sword. Each swing divide mountains. Show me the power I desire! I ride! Darkest General, Ashura Kaiser Reverse!"
"Reverse?" Aichi asked aloud, surprised that such a unit existed. He knew of Ashura Kaiser, but never once heard of a reverse…
"So it is your first time facing this kind of unit? No matter!" He bellowed and then, moved Though boy to the backrow and called two king of swords and a Shout. "You'll be reversed soon…" Aichi eyed the boy face, and then it clicked.
'It's like what happened to Bucchi…' Eyeing his opponent, he smirked. 'So, to save him, I need to beat him… good thing I planned on doing that.'
"Ashura Reverse skill! I lock two cards, and then Ashura Kaiser Reverse gains plus 10000 and a skill!" He smiled in a demented way, entering in a laugh fit. "My left king of swords attack!"
"I guard with Govannon."
"My right king of swords!"
"I guard with Lien!"
"It's useless! My Ashura Kaiser attacks!" He smirked, seeing that Aichi didn't guard. "First check… get, critical trigger, power to my right King of swords and the extra critical goes to my vanguard, second check… no trigger."
"Damage check. First, get, heal trigger… second, no trigger. Power to Lop ear, and I recover one damage."
"Ashura Kaiser Reverse skill! I counterblast two and soulblast one… and the entire front row re-stands with plus 5000!"
"What?" Aichi though aloud, seeing even the vanguard re-standing.
"Go, King of Swords!" The man said, urging his left King to attack with 20000.
"I guard with Epona!"
"My right King of Swords attacks!"
"I guard with Elaine!"
The reverse fighter eyed the boy with annoyance.
"Go, Ashura Kaiser!" He cried, and with a sigh of annoyance, he smirked. "This makes six."
Aichi gulped, eyeing his hand.
"I guard with Iseult!"
"What?" The kid screamed, and eyeing his deck, he smirked. "My attack ain't over yet! First check… get, stand trigger. Second check, get, critical trigger! All effects to the left King of swords."
'Damn…' Aichi though, eyeing his hand. He could guard, but thanks to that heal trigger, he still had 3 damage. "No guard. First check, second check… get, draw trigger! Power to the vanguard, and I draw one."
'I couldn't end this that turn, but…' The reverse fighter smirked, looking at his hand size. 'I have 6 cards in hand… three of those are triggers. Plus, I have two intercepts, and he only has 4 cards in hand. His attack power is crippled. All I need to do is survive this turn, and then, you'll be reversed.'
"I stand and draw." Aichi declared, and seeing his trusted vanguard in hand, he smiled, and then looked at his opponent. "Light and shadows become one… and then, true power is born! I ride, Majesty Lord Blaster!"
Aichi then eyed his mentor, and saw the flame in his eyes.
'Show him, kid… your power.' Kanzaki thought.
'What's with that unit… a measly 10000? What can that amount?' The reverse fighter gulped, looking at the seriousness at Majesty eyes. 'Still… what's with this pressure?'
Aichi and the new form of Ahmes shared a look, the lord smiling at his vanguard.
"I call blaster-friend, Barcgal and also… Stand up, my Avatar! I call, Blaster blade!" Aichi screamed, calling forth his most trusted unit. "Blaster blade skill activates! I counterblast two, and retire one of your units! Then, barcgal skill activates, counter charge."
In the deep space, Blaster Blade used his sword, trusting it forward as a cannon, and a beam annihilated one of the King of swords.
"Next, I call to the field Wingal youth and Lake Maiden, Lien!"
"So… what can you achieve with this?" The man asked, smirking. Aichi smirked back, a look of confidence that wasn't there now present.
"You'll see. Boosted by Wingal youth, Blaster dark!"
"Weak! I guard with Lucky gal!"
"Boosted by Barcgal, go Blaster Blade!"
"I guard with Shout, and King of Swords intercepts!" Eyeing his opponent field, he smirked. "What can you do now! You'll be defeated next turn!"
"Wrong!" Aichi said, and with a boost from Lien, he attacked with Majesty.
The reverse fighter was about to not guard, but… something about Aichi's unit screamed danger.
"I guard with two red lighting!" He eyed Aichi. 'What is this… this guy… his aura is only increasing.'
It was true, Aichi's aura surrounding him was growing in size rapidly, flowing freely out of his body.
"Majesty Lord Blaster skill activates! I'll sent one Blaster Blade and one Blaster Dark to the soul, for him to gain plus 10000… also, his original power becomes 12000 and he gets an extra natural damage."
"What?" The youth asked, glaring at Aichi. "But, if that's true…"
"Then, I need only one trigger for this attack to pass." Aichi's eyes glowed with Psyqualia, a bluish hue outlining said glow. "First check, get draw trigger… all power to Majesty and I draw one, second check… get, heal trigger! I recover one damage, and I give plus 5000 to Majesty."
"Damage check…" The man checked his damage, clicking his tongue in annoyance. 'Now it's my attack power that is crippled… I have only 2 cards in hand, and my front row is wide open… I can't win like this… I need more units.'
With a plan forming in his mind, the reverse fighter eyed the boy in front of him.

"I stand and draw…" His opponent looked at his card, and sighted. "I call to the field, Ashura Kaiser and Battlerizer. Then, I'll use Reverse skill! To the battle."
Aichi braced himself, smirking at his opponent. Eyeing his hand, he let his psyqualia flare.
"Boosted by Battleraizer, Ashura Kaiser Attacks!"
"I guard with Margal!"
"My vanguard attacks!"
"I guard with Elaine!"
"Twin drive… first… second!" He cursed, seeing that no trigger was there. "Reverse skill! I counterblast 2 and soul blast one! Re-stand, my front row, with plus 5000! Go Ashura!"
"No guard… check the damage. Get, draw trigger!"
'A draw now of all times?' He thought, and kept his assault going. "Go my vanguard… this should end it." He smirked, seeing that his opponent only had 2 cards in hand, and his vanguard has 26000 power.
"I guard with Epona!"
'No…' He thought, eyeing his opponent, his brain trying to process the fact that Aichi drew a 10000 shield… 'I just need one trigger for it to pass, but…' He eyed his deck, his hand going forward, trembling slightly. His mind then went back to Jun Mutsuki, the one who he admires… the one he sold his freedom for.
"I'll win! Twin drive!" He cried, making Aichi tense himself with his power. "First check… second check… darn it!" After that, he activated battleraizer skill, and drew one card.
"I stand and draw." Aichi said, smiling a bit. "I call to the field, Blaster Dark and Blaster Blade! Blaster Blade skill! Counter blast, and I retire your Ashura Kaiser! Blaster-friend Barcgal skill! Counter charge!"
"Curse you…"
"Next, Blaster dark!"
"I won't guard! Check for damage… no trigger!"
"Wingal youth skill activates! I send him to the soul and look at the top seven cards in my deck, and add one blaster blade from it. Next, my blaster blade!"
"I guard with two Toolkit Boy's!"
"Go, my vanguard! With his skill! I'll place both Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark in soul, and he gains plus 10000 power!"
'I have four cards in hand… and all of them have shield 5000… I need to risk!' He thought, eyeing Aichi's deck. "I guard with 2 Hungry dumpty, one though boy and one toolkit boy!"
'So it's one to pass…' Aichi eyed his deck, smiling. "First check… second check… get! Critical trigger! All effects to Majesty!"
"No… it can't be!" A wind picked up, and sent the top card from his deck to the damage, forcing the darkness out of the reversed fighter.
Like a puppet with it's string cut, the boy felt, and Aichi run to caught him up, however…
"What… why… WHY!" The boy asked, his voice broken and his eyes downcast. "Why did you took it from me! Now I have no more use to master Jun!" He screamed, pushing Aichi away. The bluenette staggered on his feet, recoiling at the sheer amount of hatred on the youth eyes. He looked like someone a year younger than himself, but his murderous intent was clear to the young Sendou.
"But… you needed to be saved!" Aichi cried out, confused.
"I never wanted to!" The boy bite back, furious. He took a breath to calm himself. "What's your name!"
"S-sendou Aichi." The youth squeaked out, earning an annoyed look from the other kid.
"My name is Hagane Kazemaru. Remember that, cause I'll never forget this… and I'll never forgive."
With that, he run away, but Aichi could swear he heard Hagane's voice break at some point, and also something akin to water in his eyes. The boy heard Kanzaki mutter a curse, looking at Kazemaru's direction with contempt.
"Master!" Aichi chided, his tone betraying the downcast expression he wore.
"The weak don't have the right to complain… the only right they have is to keep shut and get stronger!" Aichi sighted, looking at the retreating back of the boy with guilt in his blue orbs. Kanzaki took notice of that, and his expression turned grim. "Sendou!"
"Yes…" Aichi answered halfheartedly, his mind thinking back at what the youth told him. Was he wrong at saving an innocent? Was it better to serve under someone and be happy doing it, than to be free to chose your destiny and hate everything in the process?
"Stop with this pathetic look!" Kanzaki screamed, taking Aichi away from his musings. The youth squeaked and looked at his mentor, afraid at the seething rage the purple haired man displayed. "You won. You were the stronger man in that battle."
Aichi was silent for a few seconds, and then he answered… "What does it matter being the stronger, if I can't be the better man of us both."
With that, both mentor and student exited the shop in silence, each wearing different expressions. Kanzaki was thoughtful of that last line, while Sendou Aichi was thinking, for the first time, that maybe he's in the wrong.
Raul Serra smirked victoriously at seeing his opponent despair expression at receiving his final damage. Taking his deck, he let his newest soldier be consumed by Link Joker energy. Looking around himself, he smiled at the result.
Another shop was reversed… and since they were reversed by him and not any soldier from Jun's organization, they were his servants… his subjects!
Yes, he smiled evilly at his growing legion of followers… maybe that should be the name he shall give to his organization.
"Like the demon from the bible… Legion, because there are a great number of us." He mused to himself, and smirked at feeling his deck pulsing. "Yes… we'll face that Toshiki soon enough… but not yet. First I must destroy any opposition that may takes place." He thought back to the energy he felt three days ago. The power of a King's Awakening.
Smirking, he took his leave, looking forward to his arrival at the general hospital from Tokyo.
It was time to pay Jaime Alcatraz a visit.
The first thing Jaime knew of was a pang of pain in his head, the second thing was that he couldn't move, and the last was the smell of ammonia, among other medicines.
This, together with the white ceiling, told him exactly where he was.
"Took you long enough." The voice of Nitta Shinnemon took him out of his musings. "I was thinking you would die from the shock."
"You… what… what happened?"
"You don't remember?" Shin asked, his hair still unruly and his normal glasses replaced by those he used back then. "We fought, you tried to reverse me, and then you woke as a King as a result from a shock between the Psyqualia and the reverse."
It all came back at surprising speed. His mission, the data he was collecting for Soryu Leon, the way he reversed all those fighters… and his defeat at the hand of Shin.
"You're well versed in the forbidden knowledge." He stated, simply. "How? Normal humans shouldn't know such things… are you a king?"
Shin snorted, but regained his composure soon enough. "No, I'm just a guy who was born to play this game and who defeated his fair share of Psyqualia users back in his golden youth."
At that, Jaime rested his head. His silver hair was disheveled and there was a sadness in his golden orbs. "Lo siento… I'm sorry for what I did." He asked, stopping midway and regaining his control over his native tongue.
"Lo siento…" Shin repeated, testing the word in his mouth. "I thought you were from Spanish, not from Italy."
Seeing the confused gaze from Shin, Jaime actually laughed, and with a smirk, he corrected. "I'm from Spanish. Lo siento means that I'm sorry for… well, everything."
"Don't worry." Shin said, taking out his deck and looking at it with an unreadable expression. "You can do one thing to me thought…" Seeing Jaime confused look, Shin smirked. "Wanna play?"
Jun Mutsuki looked at his city from the top of the King's Tower. It was his kingdom and there were only one threat for him… one that begun to move.
"Tell me again, Jugo. Tell me where Suzugamori Ren was last saw." He ordered, and the sacred beast whose cold eyes looked at his master once again.
"At the general hospital… for what purposes whoever, we don't know. All that was said to me was that he was visiting the room of Sendou Aichi." Jun hummed at the answer, thinking about what he knew from Aichi. He felt his power defeating the newest soldier from his organization some days ago. Not just that, but he also felt the same power being squashed in a fight against Gaillard.
Sighting, he decided to address the elephant in the room. "Call the other four. We may have a new enemy… or a new ally… also, prepare for a possible fight against Jaime Alcatraz. I have the feeling that… he won't be our ally for much longer."
"As you wish, my king." Jugo answered, leaving his king alone to carry for his order. When he was out of the room, the shadow king allowed himself to enter his usual meditative state.
"So… you believe you can convince the Messiah to join our army?" The void asked, with a slightly amused tone.
"No, I don't. I don't care for what happens to Aichi Sendou. He can very well die and it wouldn't affect us in the slightest." The man answered, a small smirk playing on his lips at sensing the confusion from the elder god. He turned and addressed the shifting shadow in the room. "I just did it as a test."
"You underestimate the Messiah." Void stated, his voice quiet and any amusement lost. "I advise you to be cautious. Aichi Sendou is a powerful enemy."
"Please. You heard Gaillard's report. The boy is just that, a child. A child with more power than he can handle, and that throws a tantrum when things don't go his way."
"He may be weak now, however… his strength lies in talent, not in sheer power." At that, Jun got quiet and went back to looking at his city.
The limo stopped, forcing Takuto to sigh and Kai to open his eyes, looking around and searching for the reason. The street should be clear, but they still stopped, and this set the teen attention fully on the present.
"Master Takuto…" The driver said, calling his boss attention. "There is a… group of people ahead." He drawled, and Takuto shoulders slumped.
"Toshiki, go deal with this… I'm in no mood to fight right now." Kai looked at the white haired boy, startled at his words. "Also, please don't lose… our opponents are reverse fighters and it'll be a shame if you were to become one too."
"What?" Kai asked, not understanding what the young boy meant. Takuto gazed at him with those eerily golden eyes, trying to decipher the reason for the youth's confusion.
"Oh yeah… they are the enemy we'll be dealing with, so don't you dare show mercy, ok?"
Kai got out of the limo, knowing that Takuto wouldn't give him shit if it wasn't necessary. Looking ahead, his gaze fell onto a group of teenagers, with soulless eyes and red marks across they're cheeks.
And then it started. The dark space surrounded the group, alongside Kai.
"Stand up, (the) Vanguard!"
'This is…' He eyed the unit in front of him. The unicorn with a black ring floating around. 'Link Joker?'
"Lizard Soldier, Conroe."
"Star-vader, dust tail unicorn." The opponent cried out, and then started his turn. "I'll go first… I ride Demon Claw Star-vader, Lanthanum."
"I stand and draw… I ride, Embodiment of Armour, Bahr. Then, I call Dragon Monk, Gojo and use his skill. I discard Dragonic Overlord to draw one. Next, Bahr attacks the Vanguard!"
"No guard."
"Drive check, get! Critical trigger!" Kai cried out, smirking out at seeing Tahr and adding him to his hand.
"Damage check… get draw trigger!" He smiled and drew one.

"Now it's my turn." He began, smiling as he rode his next card. "Sky Star, Uranus. And his skill activates. When he's placed on vanguard, I can counterblast one, and lock one card! "I guard with Solar Storm and Freezing Chill!"
"Drive check… get, Critical trigger! All effects to Burnout, then he attacks!"
"I guard with Solar Storm!" The reverse fighter was painting, in obvious distress. 'Just who is this guy?'

Kai saw his opponent, with 3 cards and a full board. He knew he needed to gain an edge in this fight. "I stand and draw. Ride the vanguard! Burn everything in this world to ash with your apocalyptic fire! Dragonic Overlord!"
"So he got that card…" The youth spoke, eyeing the opponent with caution.
"I call to the field, Dragon Monk, Gojo plus Burning Horn Dragon. Next, I'll use Conroe Skill and get myself one grade 1 unit." He said, showing Barri to his opponent. "Next, go Dragonic Overlord!

"Mercury is locked. Then, go Jupiter! Venus skill, counter blast, and lock burning horn! Niobium and Lanthanum skill! Plus 2000."

Kai drew one card from his deck, and laughed. "Final Turn!" As a response, his Aura flared, and his opponent sucked a breath at the sudden pressure. "At the start of an endless journey, the one who found true strength in the form of a long-time rival! Show here and now the boundless power you possess! Crossride! Dragonic Overlord, The Rival!"
"Next, crossride skill! I call two units from my deck, come forth, Burnout and Lizard General, Conroe! Conroe Skill! I discard one grade three and add to my hand one 'The Rival', then I soulblast one and sent Dragonic Overlord back to the deck to use Burnout skill. Sent Niobium to the drop zone!"
The reverse fighter sweated a little when a flame engulfed Niobium. "Next, I'll use the skill from Conroe. I retire him, and give The Rival a skill! Then, I call one Bahr. Now… let's go! Burnout!"
"Damage check… get, critical trigger. Plus 5000 to my vanguard!"
"Now go, the rival!"
"No guard…"
"Twin drive… get, critical trigger, second check, no trigger." Kai smirked at seeing his opponent at five.
"Your final turn failed… now allow me to…"
"The rival skill! Counterblast and retire one, and then… he re-stands!" Kai declared, retiring a Gojo. "Now, go again! Boosted by Bahr, the Rival attacks! And then, with the skill Conroe gave him, counter charge 2!"
"I guard with Promethium!"
"Twin drive… first, get! Critical trigger, second… no trigger… 'The Rival' Skill activates once again!"
"What?!" One of the reverse fighters cried out.
"He's still standing…" Another one said, while the rest watched cautiously.
"I retire another Gojo, and he stands again! Now, go!"
"I guard with Promethium…"
"It's useless! Twin drive, get! Critical Trigger, second check… get, critical trigger. The rival skill again!" The opponent swallowed hard, seeing the beast standing up with 4 critical and 33000 power… and he had only one card in hand. "Goodbye… Go, The Rival!"
The bright orange flames consumed the reverse fighter, taking the darkness from the reverse off of him, and for a few seconds, he screamed in terrible pain, scaring away all the reverse fighters there.
"Why are y'all scared?" Kai asked, the Psyqualia taking over and boosting his confidence. "Salvation will never come free… he was only saved because he accepted pain… now, please, allow me to show you all the flames of purgatory that'll save all!"
And thus, Kai begun cleaning the field, all the while Takuto observed him, smiling a bit as he did so… after all, as the sadist he was, it would always be entertaining for Takuto to watch ants be squashed by the feet of a mighty dragon.
Philippe Neve looked at Jugo's back curiously. He was a tall, muscular man with tanned skin and brown hair and silver eyes. One would say his posture to be might, and his sole desire was to gain strength and protect his people… that was until he first fought against Olivier Gaillard.
"You seem tense… almost like you're remembering a particular foul memory." Jugo said, not turning back. Neve eyed him cautiously.
"Honestly, I always thought this ability of yours to be unnerving." He scratched his neck, and then his silver eyes became as fierce as the steel of his avatar. "Tell me Jugo… do I really need to say what is causing me distress."
"No… that ain't needed." The albino answered, this time taking a good look at Neve. His eyes concealed by his spectacles, his intentions unclear. "You were thinking about Olivier Gaillard… and his power, weren't you?"
Philippe made a face. "Yeah… I was."
"Honestly, I always found you to be the most amusing of the 5 sacred beasts… always the more righteous, always searching for a way to get strong, so your people could be safe, but look where this search led you to… you became the exact thing you swore to defeat." He laughed, as if Philippe's predicament were the most entertaining thing in the world. "It's ironic, really."
"Shut up." Philippe resumed his walking, passing Jugo Walshwartz and ignoring the icy glare from Jun Mutsuki's second in command.
"Now, now… we're all friends, no need to fight!" Another voice, this one with an Australian accent in it, spoke from the nearest corridor. "So, how're doing, mates?"
The youngster who entered was a white-skinned youth with a leather vest, white shirt, black jeans and black hair and a fedora in his head. He also wore a necklace of some kind. "Fabian, please don't talk with me." Jugo asked with his usual icy tone.
"Uh, frosty." He laughed, and the three soon went towards the room of Jun, for a very important meeting.
