Chapter 6: Yuzu's Resolution! The First Date?
"Where am I? Is this a dream or perhaps I was…" Kirihito wondered as he slowly stood up his feet.
Kirihito found out that he was in the beach with the night sky and moon.
"Eh?" Kirihito muttered curiously. "That's strange but I remembers I challenged Reiji Akaba to duel and then I passed out."
"Hey, what are you doing here?"
Kirihito surprised a bit, then glancing over his shoulders, his eyes looking for someone.
The girl has indigo hair tied into a ponytail with a large yellow ribbon, and green eyes. Her face is the same as Yuzu, Rin, and Ruri. Her hair also features two light blue bangs that fall to either side of her face, similar to Yuzu. She wore a red jacket with a yellow stripe and green-and-yellow star emblem on each sleeve, which is worn over a black shirt with a purple-brown collar. She also wore a red skirt held up by a brown belt with a sliver buckle and ring connecting to two straps going over her torso while her thighs are covered by biker shorts and all brown boots. In addition, she wore a bracelet.
"Who are you?" Kirihito asked, earning a sigh from a girl.
"Serena." The girl known as Serena answered simply, crossing her arms in annoyance. "So, what's your?"
"I am Kirihito Kumon. And I tell you that I passed out for some reason." Kirihito explained, which making Serena looked into surprise.
"Passed out?" Serena said. "That sounds a bit far-fetched, I don't believe you."
"Believe or not? But, I believe myself and that's what matter. Although, I am a bit worried… I don't know exactly what I am doing here, or where am I… all I know is that I am in the dream or vision."
However, the light glowed the beach in brightness, causing Kirihito and Serena covered their eyes.
"Oh no, not again!" Kirihito reminded.
"What's happening?" Serena asked out loud.
"It must be I'm returning from my dream or vision but, I will find you and tell you what's going on." Kirihito explained as the light glowed brightly once more.
"But, Kirihito…." Serena said somewhat sad and disappoint.
With the sound of birds chirped and the sun shone through the window, Kirihito slowly opened his eyes.
Kirihito did a deep yawn and he was about to stretch his arms out, but he noticed Yuzu holding his left hand as she was still asleep. She was not in the bed, lying on side, making him smile a bit.
'Yuzu… if it wasn't for you, I won't be able to protect the someone who make a promise.' Kirihito thought to himself.
However, Yuzu opened her eyes slowly. The first thing that she saw Kirihito's small smile on his face.
"Kirihito!" Yuzu worried, hugging him as her head on his left shoulder. "I am so glad you're alright! And everyone was worried about you!"
Kirihito rubbed Yuzu's back in confornt as he gave her a gentle smile. "It's okay, I'm awake."
Kirihito and Yuzu broke off their hug and they stared at each other.
"So, where's everbody?" Kirihito asked.
"Everybody are in the downstairs. They are waiting for you. Do you want to come?" Yuzu answered.
"Sure, I would like to." Kirihito said as he got out from his bed and turned to Yuzu. "I need to change first."
"Okay." Yuzu nodded as she left the room, leaving him alone. "See you at the downstairs."
Kirihito sighed deeply as he placed his hand over his left eyes, forming a difficult look on his face.
"First, I met Ruri, then Rin, and now Serena." He muttered curiously. "Also, Ruri and Rin said they will waiting for me at Fusion Dimension."
Kirihito walked to nightstand as his deck was on the nightstand. He took a card and stared at Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.
"Maybe my Galaxy-Eyes gave me an answer to find out." He said to himself, staring at it.
Kirihito sighed took his deck, putting in his deck box before changing his clothes.
Kirihito was now wearing a black open shirt with two pockets on it and white t-shirt with a black outlined on its collar, black jeans, and white socks.
He went down the downstairs, then noticed Yuya, Yuzu, Gongenzaka, Sora, Shuzo, Yoko, and three kids were waiting for him to wake up from yesterday.
"Good morning, everyone." Kirihito greeted as he waved his hand.
"Kirihito-nii chan!" The three kids exclaimed as they rushed towards Kirihito, causing them fell onto the floor.
"Are you okay?" Ayu asked as she, Futoshi, and Tatsuya hugged Kirihito tightly.
"I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine." Kirihito assured.
"Okay, kids…" Yoko said with a smile as she approached them. "Let Kirihito-kun have some space."
With that, the three kids released their hug from Kirihito, then he stood up from the ground.
"I'm glad that you're okay, Kirihito." Yuya smiled.
"Yeah." Sora agreed as he continued ate his usual breakfast. "You were in pretty bad shape that day."
"Erm… thanks for caring about me." Kirihito nodded in appreciate.
However, Kirihito noticed Yuya who seemed look down after witnessing Reiji uses Pendulum Summon.
"That was a splendid hot-blooded duel in my entire career! Thank you very much for saving our You Show, Kirihito!" Shuzo said with passion and repetitive.
"You have done what I failed to accomplish. In the name of the Gongenzaka Dojo, I, thank you for saving You Show Duel School, Kirihito." Gongenzaka smiled firmly.
"Don't mention it." Kirihito gave them a stiff smile.
"Yoko-san, you should see his duel." Shuzo said as he turned to Yoko.
"Yeah, Kirihito-nii chan finally used his Xyz Monster of Galaxy-Eyes to counter." Tatsuya added.
"It gave me a good shivers!" Futoshi said in excitement, moving his hip.
Kirihito eat his breakfast in peace along with Yuya, Yuzu, and everyone. However, he decided to ask Yuya for a while.
"Yuya." Kirihito said, catching Yuya's attention.
"Yeah, what is it?" Yuya answered with a curious look on his face.
"Did you really think that you would have been the only one to be able to Pendulum Summon?" Kirihito demanded sincerely, which make Yuya looked uneasy.
"W-Why is that question?"
"Ever since that guy Reiji performed a Pendulum Summon, I noticed the trouble in your eyes. That look, I can read that expression everywhere. So, would you tell me?" Kirihito explained as his eyes narrowed.
Yuya looked down on the floor to find an answer for a moment. But, he finally gave him an answer.
"I…. hoped it would be the case." Yuya responded, looking down.
"Why?" Kirihito asked curiously, waiting for his answer.
"During my duel against Strong Ishijima, I finally managed to clear my father's reputation with my newest Pendulum Summon. I could follow his footsteps and be an Entertainer and bringing smile to others like him. Pendulum Summon helped me to opens the door that finally enable to be like him. And now that guy Reiji Akaba managed to Pendulum Summon, and even to perform an Xyz Summon through it, I…. I just don't know." Yuya explained bitterly.
"Pendulum Summon isn't what brought you so far." Kirihito said as Yuya flinched and stared at him in confuse.
"Eh?"
"Your father created a new form of Action Duel and over time, people started to duel like him. However, he wasn't upset when the people copied his style, as a matter of fact, he was overjoyed that he inspired other people to follow his footsteps. With so many duelists are trying to copy him, he was still very best when it came to Entertainment Duel, no one could come close to his level. Pendulum Summon didn't just opened a door for you. Others will have Pendulum Cards in the future but you're still the first to creates a Pendulum Summon! So, you must walked a new path to become the best in your field!"
Yuya, who was still looking down on the ground, didn't know how to respond, completely baffled at words. After what seemed like a full minutes of silence, Yuya slowly rose up, a wide smile visible on his face.
"You're right, Kirihito! I shouldn't feel upset now! I'll become a true Entertainer and a true Pendulum user!"
"Good for you, Yuya!" Gongenzaka praised.
Kirihito gave him a warm smile, and then glancing at Yuzu who was seemed bother look on her face.
"Yuzu…" Kirihito murmured, before remembering Yuzu was being upset over to the Fusion user, Masumi.
"Now, what do we do?" Sora suddenly asked.
"After an intense day we had fought against LDS yesterday, I feel like taking easy. Do you have any ideas, Kirihito?" Yuya suggested, turning to Kirihito.
Kirihito fidgeted his hands, trying to think of a activity.
"To be honest, I don't know." He responded. "I was thinking going to shopping or buying some new cards. If you haven't invited me, it's most likely I would have gone without any lunch."
Upon hearing Kirihito's word, Yuzu, who still silent, decided to take this opportunity.
"Kirihito! I need your help me with something?"
Everyone turned to Kirihito as he widened his eyes in surprise, then glanced at Yuzu.
"Ermm, could you please remind me, my memory is a bit…. messy."
"Mou!" Yuzu pouted cutely before she stood up from her seat and grabbed Kirihito's wrist.
"W-What?" Kirihito could say anything and he was being pulled by Yuzu as he was trying not to trip.
"Yuzu? What are you doing?" Shuzo asked.
"Sorry everyone but I'll borrowing Kirihito for a bit." Yuzu replied as Kirihito and her were long gone.
"What was that about?" Yuya asked, which everyone but Sora and Gongenzaka to shurg.
They might have passed a few blocks of Sakaki Resident, with Yuzu dragging him with no intention of resting. She could at least allow him catch his breath.
"Y-Yuzu!" Kirihito called out, hopping she would stop. "C-Could you at least tell me where are we going?"
"You'll see when we get there." Yuzu responded, still not slowing down. "No need to worry."
"How could I not be worried when you are not telling me where are we going?"
Yuzu didn't say anything else, however, it felt like she increased the pace, which prompting the Galaxy-Eyes Duelist to sigh, guess this will be a long day indeed.
Kirihito don't know how much time passed, since he didn't get a chance to check his Duel Disk, but they arrived their destination at last. Looking around, he realized they were in the docks, right beside the warehouses where she and himself confront Sawatari.
"Yuzu…" Kirihito asked once more as he grew serious expression on his face. "Why are we here?"
The girl closed the door of warehouse behind them, and she turned to Kirihito as she inhaled before she clapped her hands together and begged.
"Please!"
"Eh?"
"Please help me to teach me how to become strong as you and I want to perform Fusion Summon just like Sora!" Yuzu begged.
Kirihito was taken back.
"You want me to teach you… how to become strong as mine and you want to perform Fusion Summon?" Kirihito asked flabbergasted.
"Yes!" Yuzu said in determination.
After a moment of silence, Kirihito's body was shaking and small tears were forming. Yuzu raised her head to see Kirihito's face and when she was surprised. This was the first time she has seen Kirihito showing any of joy. So, when he did, the female duelist didn't know how to react.
"Kirihito?"
"Hahahahaha!" Kirihito laughed in amusement, prompting Yuzu blushed and looked at him with a comical angry red face.
"Kirihito! You shouldn't laugh at a friend coming to ask you for help!" Yuzu scolded with innocent anger.
"I'm sorry!" Kirihito apologized before he settled down. "So, care to explain why you want to be strong?"
"I'm not strong enough as I am now!" Yuzu replied sincerely. "I want to be strong enough to protect You Show!"
"I see…" Kirihito responded. "Is this, by any chance, because of your duel against Masumi?"
Yuzu turned her gaze to the floor, not immediately responding. "Yes… When I lost my duel to Masumi, I felt so useless, and burden. You, Yuya, and Gongenzaka fought with everything you had. Meanwhile…. I couldn't even keep my focus and didn't even see that the Action Card I aimed for was a mere reflection. If something like this were to ever happen again, I want to stand up with my own two feet, to fight alongside you guys, as an equal!"
Kirihito had a stoic expression on his face before speaking. "Yuzu…"
"Yes?" She asked as her eyes stared at him.
"What am I to you?" Kirihito asked, surprising Yuzu.
"Eh? We're friends, aren't we?" Yuzu asked greatly confused.
"Exactly." Kirihito responded. "Friends don't come begging help from the other. Just ask me like you consider to be your equal. Real friends don't bow and scrape to other as their better or think less of the other, they stand by one another as equals!"
Yuzu widened her eyes at his reasoning.
"If you are going to be my disciple then you'll have to take a Duel quiz or exam." Kirihito said as he walked towards the warehouse doors and opened for her.
Yuzu frowned before walking and leaving the warehouse disappointedly. "So, it depends on my skills…"
"Don't be like that, Yuzu." Kirihito responded, smiling a bit. "I just want to see how you duel."
"So, who am I going to duel?" Yuzu asked curiously. "It's not you, is it?"
"No, not yet." Kirihito responded, causing Yuzu to sigh in relief. "But, I'm going to help you to become a true Duelist."
"Kirihito…" Yuzu gasped in surprise, her eyes wide with wonder and awe.
"But on one condition." Kirihito said, raising his finger in the air.
"And that is?" Yuzu asked curiously.
"You must learn to use every summoning method in the game." Kirihito responded as Yuzu widened her eyes in surprise.
"Eh?!"
"If you need to become a true duelist then you'll need to know how to use every summoning in Duel Monsters. You must learn how to use Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Ritual, and even Pendulum if that day ever happens. Do you still want to walk the new path, Yuzu?"
"Of course!" Yuzu replied almost immediately which really surprised Kirihito. "That's all the better, right? Make me strong enough that I'll never lose to anyone!"
"Yuzu…"
A moment of silence past by as Kirihito stared at her determined eyes.
The Galaxy-Eyes Duelist smiled. "You really are an interesting girl, aren't you?"
"Eh?"
"Very well!" Kirihito said. "I will teach you, Yuzu!"
"Really? Thank you so much, Kirihito!"
"But let's take one step at a time." Kirihito informed. "First, I'll teach you how to perform Fusion, then Synchro, Xyz soon after, and finally I'll teach you Ritual."
"If Pendulum cards can really do become a thing for everyone then I doubt you'll need me since Yuya use it dozen of times." Kirihito commented, before reaching into his pocket.
Kirihito gave Yuzu his Polymerization.
"Polymerization?" Yuzu asked as she looked at the card, then at Kirihito. "Kirihito why didn't you use it in your previous duel?"
Kirihito shook his head slightly. "Becuase it doesn't fit me and my deck but I only know every Fusion, Synchro, and even Ritual."
"However, I'll always help a friend in need no matter what." Kirihito smiled.
"I can't thank you enough for what your doing…" Yuzu replied as she was touched by this display of kindness.
"Well, I guess that settles it." Kirihito said. "Ready to start, Yuzu?"
"Right!" Yuzu said.
In the next five days
At the pier while it was early in the afternoon, Yuzu and Kirihito are prepared a practice duel due to Yuzu wanted to be strong and protected You Show Duel School so she will perform a Fusion Summon.
"Alright, Yuzu, if I can see you become stronger, I don't have a problem dueling you. Just don't expect me to go easy on you just because this is a practice match." Kirihito said as he set up his Duel Disk.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Yuzu responded in a challenging tone as she set up her Duel Disk and began typing it. "We're setting the Duel to practice mode so that the result won't affect our win ratio. Is that OK?"
"Go ahead."

"I'll go first if you don't mind." Yuzu suggested, earning a nod from Kirihito.
'Remember Yuzu, no pressure.' Kirihito thought with a neutral look on his face.
"First, I'll Normal Summon Cannon the Melodious Diva in ATK mode!" Yuzu declared as blue haired and skinned diva appeared.
Canon the Melodious Diva - LV: 4 ( 1400/2000)
"Let's see how your musical monster capable of." Kirihito smirked in a challenging tone.
Yuzu closed one of her eyes with a hand up in a teacher-like.
"The Melodious series is a group of regal musician who play to entertain and soothe the captive audience, after all, music can be a powerful sensation in the world of the entertainment, however I can't attack you on the very first turn, I'll set two cards face-down and end my turn." She explained, bowing gesture as her two facedowns appeared on the field.
"It's my turn, draw!" Kirihito declared as he drew a card. "I activates the Spell Card Accelight! When I controls any monsters on my field, so I Special Summon a Level 4 LIGHT-Warrior monster from my deck. Come on, Daybreaker!"
Appearing from the light, Daybreaker appeared on the Kirihito's field.

'Daybreaker…' Yuzu thought curiously as she eyed on Daybreaker 'Does that's means?'
"I can see your eyes, Yuzu." Kirihito smirked. "Since you know about Daybreaker's effect so I won't tell you about that for now. From my deck, I Special Summon another one Daybreaker.
Kirihito's deck edjected out the said card, grabbing it. He placed it on the Monster Card zone as the another copy of Daybreaker appeared.
Daybreaker - LV: 4 (1700/0)
"I Overlay my two Level 4 Daybreaker!" Kirihito declared as the two Daybreakers turned into light swirls and flew towards galaxy-like portals. "With these two monsters, I construct the Overlay Network!"
"Show yourself! Rank 4! Starliege Lord Galaxion!"
Appearing from the galaxy-like portals, Galaxion appeared before doing a strike pose.

"Galaxion.." Yuzu muttered before she realized in her head. "Don't tell me?"
Kirihito smirked at her reaction. "Starliege Lord Galaxion's effect activates! Once per turn, I detaches two Overlay Units, so I Special Summon a Galaxy-Eyes from my Deck!"
Upon hearing that, Galaxion raised up his both swords in the air as the two Overlay Units perished. Then, Kirihito placed a card on the disk blade from his deck as the red colored hand-sized shuriken materialized on his hand, much to Yuzu looked in surprise.
"Galaxy shinning in the darkness, become a ray of hope and live within my servant!" Kirihito chanted as he threw the shuriken in the air, making it spun faster than the lighting and some light gathering around it. "Appear, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
Appearing from the light, Galaxy-Eyes finally made its appearance as it let out its vicious roar.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon - LV: 8 - (3000/2500)
"Galaxy-Eyes…" Yuzu muttered in awe as she stared at the photon dragon before she thought in her head. 'Just seeing this thing up close is making me feel intimated already and that's not when I face Yuya's Odd-Eyes Dragon!'
"Now, batt-" Kirihito announced.
"I activates the Trap Card; Threatening Roar!" Yuzu interjected. "When this card is activated, my opponent cannot conduct a battle this turn!"
An intimidating roar came from the card as Kirihito's monsters seemed to second guess themselves.
Kirihito smirked before speaking.
"I'm impressed, Yuzu. However, let's see what you can do." Kirihito replied as he set two cards. "I set two cards and end my turn!"
"Then it's my turn! I draw!" Yuzu declared, drawing a card, then looking at her hand of four, and picked out a card. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell; Pianissimo! This card allows me to target 1 monster on the field, that monsters ATK becomes 100 until the end of this turn, but it cannot be destroyed by battle this turn, and I chose Starliege Lord Galaxion, Canon!"
Canon let out a musical melody and Galaxion staggered in his stance, looking weary as his strength suddenly weak.
Starliege Lord Galaxion - Rank: 4 - (100/2100)
"Heh, she didn't use it on my Galaxy-Eyes." Kirihito muttered with a smirk.
"Battle! Cannon attacks Starliege Lord Galaxion! Singing Strike!" Yuzu delcared as Canon let out a musical notes coming from her mouth, charging towards Galaxion.
"Trap activates! Lumenize!" Kirihito countered. "It negates the attack one of the opponent's monster and increases the ATK of one of my LIGHT monster you control gains that targets ATK until the next end phase! So, I chose Galaxy-Eyes!"
"What?!" Yuzu asked surprised.
The musical notes blocked by a barrier and the attack power was transferred to the photon dragon as its power increased, making it let out a roar proudly.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon - LV: 8 - (4400/2500)
"4400 ATK…" Yuzu stated in awe, before regained her composer. "I set a card facedown and end my turn. At this time, Galaxion's ATK returned."
Starliege Lord Galaxion - Rank: 4 - (2000/2100)
"My turn! Draw!" Kirihito said as he drew a card, before adding it into his hand.
"I sacrifices Galaxion to Advance Summon Photon Leo!" Kirihito called as Galaxion perished, then Photon Leo appeared and let out a vicious roar.
Photon Leo - LV: 6 - (2100/1100)
"Photon Leo's effect activates! When this card is summoned, all of opponent's cards shuffled into the deck, then drawing the same number of cards!" Kirihito explained as Photon Leo let out a powerful growl at the cards of Yuzu, causing her yelp in surprise.
"Fine…" Yuzu pouted in disappointment as she has to redraw her card.
"Now, Photon Leo attacks Canon the Melodious!" Kirihito declared as Photon Leo charged towards Canon.
"Canon's effect activates! Once per turn, I can change her battle position so I switch her into DEF mode and with it, my Life Points is safe!" Yuzu stated.
"However, I can still destroy your monster." The Galaxy-Eyes Duelist reminded.
"I activates another Trap Card Impenetrable Attack! During this turn, Canon cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects from your Battle Phase!" Yuzu stated as an invisible barrier blocked the attack as Galaxion retreated back to Kirihito's field.
'Man, she's so good for counter my move. I guessed I allowed her to take her turn.' Kirihito thought to himself, before finishing his turn. "I end my turn! At this turn, Galaxy-Eyes's ATK returned to normal."
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon - LV: 8 - (3000/2500)
"My turn, I draw. I activate the Spell Card; Pot of Greed! When this card is activated, I can draw two new cards!" Yuzu stated as she drew two cards.
Yuzu looked at her cards and smiled at what she saw before looking at Kirihito who gave her go-ahead.
"I activate the Spell Card; Polymerization!"
'Heh, she finally used Polymerization. Let's see what she got it.' Kirihito thought amusedly.
"I fuse Soprano the Melodious Maiden and Canon the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu declared as her musical divas appeared and above her and whirled into the colorful vortex.
"Angle's song, strong-willed heroine! Guided by the baton, gather your power! Fusion Summon! Now, come to the stage! Schuberta the Melodious Maestra!"
The maestra appeared onto the field with grace as she moved her wand around elegantly.
Schuberta the Melodious Maestra - LV: 6 - (2400/2000)
"She finally mastered Fusion Summon. But what's Yuzu doing?" Kirihito wondered.
"I activates Schuberta's effect! By targeting and removing from play up to three cards from either Graveyard; Schuberta gains 200 ATK for each card that was banished by this effect! I can only use this once per turn effect!" Yuzu explained.
"What did you say!?" He asked in surprise.
"I banish Spell Card Accelight, two Daybreakers, Starliege Lord Galaxion, Trap Card Lumenize,!" Yuzu declared. "Chorus Break!"
Schuberta banished the declared cards with her wand as she felt the power rising.
Schuberta the Melodious Maestra - LV: 6 - (3400/2000)
'It suppressed Galaxy-Eyes!' Kirihito thought in awe.
Yuzu carefully analyzed the field as she wondered which monster she could attack.
She made her decision.
"Battle! I attack Photon Leo with Scuberta the Melodious Maestra! Wave of the Great!"
Scuberta used her wand to create a powerful wave coming straight towards Photon Leo as it growled in pain and vanished.

"I set a card and end my turn!" Yuzu finished.
"My turn, draw!" Kirihito declared as he drew a card.
"I summon Photon Cerberus!" He stated as the photon version of three headed dog appeared on next to Galaxy-Eyes.
Photon Cerberus - LV: 4 - (1300/600)
"Since this card is normal summoned, your Trap Card is completely sealed."
Cerberus summoned the chains to wrapped around Yuzu's set card tightly.
"No way!" Yuzu said out loud.
"Next, I activates an Equip-Spell Megamorph. With this, I equips it to Galaxy-Eyes to makes its attack doubled since my life points are lower than your."
The light aura surrounded Galaxy-Eyes, making it glowed brightly and roared proudly.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon - LV: 8 - (6000/2500)
"6000 ATK!" Yuzu exclaimed.
"Now, Galaxy-Eyes attacks Schuberta the Melodious Maestra! Photon Stream of Destruction!" Kirihito announced as Galaxy-Eyes unleashed its signature blast towards Schuberta, causing her cried in painful before exploding in the process.

However, Galaxy-Eyes roared weakly, meaning its attack was now decreased.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon - LV: 8 - (1500/2500)
"Now, Photon Cerberus attacks player directly!" Kirihito continued as Photon Cerberus barked loudly, sending the shockwave towards Yuzu.
Yuzu used her Duel Disk treated as a shield, while letting out a grunt sound.

Yuzu: 300
"I set a card and end my turn!" Kirihito stated as his card appeared on the field.

"It's my turn, I draw!" Yuzu declared as she drew a card. "I activates a Spell Card of Sanctity. With this, both of us can draw the cards until we have six cards in our hand!"
Yuzu drew six cards from her deck, while Kirihito drew six cards from his deck.
"I summon Serenade the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu announced as a pink haired diva in a long, yellow dress and a wing on her back appeared.

A female figure dressed in regal clothing with wings on her back appeared on Yuzu's field.

Canon got the cestus as her power went up.

Yuzu pointed at Photon Cerberus.
"Battle! Canon, attack Photon Cerberus! Singing Strike!"
Canon unleashed her singing shockwave to Photon Cerberus as it growled in painful and vanished. Canon turned to Yuzu and let the cestus emit a green light towards her as the girl's life points increased equal to the attack Kirihito took.

"Next, I activate the Trap Fiendish Chain!" Yuzu announced. "Through its effect, it stopped an opponent's monster effect, and also it cannot allowed attack. So, I choose Galaxy-Eyes!"
The chains suddenly appeared, then binding Galaxy-Eyes tightly, making it roared in agony.
'So, you had that card Yuzu. Very clever.' Kirihito thought somewhat impressed.
Yuzu pointed at Galaxy-Eyes.
"Mozarta, attack Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon! Graceful Wave!"
Mozarta swung her wand and unleashed a shockwave and musical notes at Galaxy-Eyes, causing it vanished.

"Finally, my Sonata attacks you directly, Kirihito! Flowing Sound!"
Upon following Yuzu's declaration, Sonata let a musical tone towards Kirihito.
"Trap activates Defense Draw!" Kirihito countered as the rainbow barrier appeared, then blocking Sonata's attack.
"What!?" Yuzu surprised.
"Thanks to its effect, I don't take battle damage in this turn and I draw a card." Kirihito explained as he drew a card.
"I'll activate Canon's effect to switch her to defense mode and place a card face-down, ending my turn." Yuzu said with a confident expression on her face.
"Hahahaha!" Yuzu heard a laugh from Kirihito, prompting the girl stared at him in amazement.
"This duel is making me felt exciting since I've faced Yuya, Yuto, and Reiji Akaba."
Yuzu pounded for a moment, before she smiled at him.
"You're right. This is one of best duels that I had been trained by you and having a fun with you."
"In that case, my turn, draw!" Kirihito announced as he drew a card, adding it to his hand.
"I praise you for taking down one of my Galaxy-Eyes." He smiled, before forming a serious expression. "But, it's time to finish this duel."
"I Normal Summon Galaxy Knight from my hand." He revealed the card, before playing it as the knight rode on the board-like a shield appeared.

"I Overlay three Level 8 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Galaxy Knight, and Galaxy Wizard!" Kirihito announced as his three monsters turned into light swirls, before flying to the red galaxy like portal.
Suddenly, the red and black spear appeared as Kirihito grabbed it tightly, then stared at the red galaxy-like portal.
"Radiant galaxy, here and now become the striking light, and show yourself!" Kirihito chanted as he threw the spear into the red colored galaxy-like portal, creating a powerful light. "Descend now, my very soul! Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
Appearing from the light, Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon finally appeared, letting out a vicious roar, while the crimson aura surrounded Kirihito once again.

"Neo Galaxy-Eyes…" Yuzu said in awe and amazement as she stared at Neo Galaxy-Eyes.
"I'll activate Neo Galaxy-Eyes's effect!" Kirihito announced as he pointed at Yuzu's monsters. "When this card is Xyz Summoned by using Galaxy-Eyes as an Xyz Material, it can negate all of the opponent's monsters' effect! Photon Howling!"
Neo Galaxy-Eyes unleashed a powerful roar towards Yuzu's three monsters, making them groaned in painful.
"Next, I'll activate the Quick-Play Spell Dragon Fighting Spirit!" He revealed the card, before playing it. "Through its effect, it allowed Neo Galaxy-Eyes gains two more additional attacks and it can attack the special summoned monsters during each battle phase this turn."
"No way!" Yuzu exclaimed.
He pointed at three 'Melodious' monsters.
"Go, Neo Galaxy-Eyes attacks! Triple Ultimate Photon Stream!"
Neo Galaxy-Eyes unleashed it's powerful crimson burst stream towards them, causing them cried in painful and exploded in the process.

Kirihito widened his eyes in surprise, before asking her. "How can you have 400 Life?"
"This." Yuzu held up the card, showing it to Kirihito. "Mirror Shade. Thanks to its effect, I paid half of my Life Points to take no battle damage this turn."
'Actually this card I gave it to her.' He thought to himself, before glancing at his hand for the next turn.
"I end my turn there."
Yuzu widened her eyes in surprise. "Really? You didn't want to place any set cards in your next turn or anything?"
"Yuzu. This is a training for you know how to break through your fear and hesitate in your eyes and mind." Kirihito explained.
"Kirihito…" Yuzu muttered.
"It's your turn, Yuzu." He offered.
"Hai, Kirihito!" Yuzu accepted, before placing her hand on the deck.
"Draw!"
Yuzu drew a card, before making her move. "I'll activate the Spell Card; Card of Adversity! Through its effect, an opponent controls a special summoned monster and I don't have any monsters on my field. So, I draw two new cards."
Yuzu drew two new cards from her deck as she looked at her cards which caused her to look at Kirihito and smile at him.
"I summon Soprano the Melodious Songstress!" She placed the card on her Duel Disk as a long haired woman with dark blue highlights, her eyes were covered by yellow bandages while wearing a rather ornate battle corset decked in orange and blue and her white dress with orange curls, lastly, her feet were blue long shoes.

"I activate Monster Reborn!" Yuzu continued as she revealed the card. "Revive, Schuberta the Melodious Maestra!"

'I guess it was best for her to use Polymerization earlier.' Kirihito thought to himself. 'I guess her deck answers Yuzu.'
"I fuse Soprano and Shucberta the Melodious Maestra!" Yuzu said before chanting.
"Angel's song, genius of excellence! Guided by baton, gather your power! Fusion Summon! Now, come to the stage! Sing your song of victory! Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir!"
The diva appeared onto the field as if it was an angle being born from a flower before singing her song.

"What a magnificent diva…." Kirihito said in astonishment and awe, staring at the diva.
"Battle! Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir attacks Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon! Vaporising Miracle!" Yuzu declared as Bloom Diva opened her mouth and let out a blast of white energy in the mix of musical notes and Neo Galaxy-Eyes unleashed its Ultimate Photon Stream.
"Yuzu, sorry but Bloom Diva will be destroyed by Neo Galaxy-Eyes." Kirihito said as Yuzu gave him a knowing smile.
"Never underestimate a girl's potential, Kirihito! I activate Bloom Diva's effect! When she battles a Special Summoned Monster, she cannot be destroyed in battle and she can destroy the monster she is battling and here's the best part, any battle damage I would receiveis instead redirected to you! Bloom Diva, end this duel! Reflect Shout!"
Bloom Diva sings a sonic wave that destroy Neo Galaxy-Eyes was destroyed as Kirihito screamed and flew away.

"Kirihito!" Yuzu called out in concern and horror as Bloom Diva swiftly flew towards Kirihito and caught him.
Kirihito opened his eyes as he was being saved by Bloom Diva. "You saved me, right?"
Bloom Diva nodded in correct and gave him a warmly smile, making him blushed in embarrassment before she placed Kirihito on his feet.
With that, the holographic duel field disappeared and the crimson aura faded away from Kirihito.
'Looks like I can communicate the Duel Spirits or not?' Kirihito thought to himself, wondering if he can communicate the Duel Spirits.
"Kirihito!" Yuzu shouted as she rushed towards the Galaxy-Eyes Duelist, checking on him if he got any injuries. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Yuzu." Kirihito assured with a small smile, giving a thumb to Yuzu. "And that was excellent duel back there."
Yuzu sighed in belief while looking at her Fusion Monster card.
"I can't thank you enough for training with me, Kirihito." She said, before looking at him. "You're not going to teach me how to perform Xyz or anything today, are you?"
"Not today." Kirihito replied with a genuine happiness. "I don't intend on teaching how to perform Synchro, Xyz, Ritual, and even Pendulum. I will teach you one by one later."
"What?" Yuzu asked in confusion. "Why not it before begins?"
"I don't want you to be consumed by your lust for power." Kirihito replied solemnly. "Those who are too blinded by their own temptation are destroyed by it."
"Yuzu…." Yuzu muttered as she understood what he meant.
"Alright, it's time to go back to Yuya's place." Kirihito said as he was about to leave the warehouse but his wrist was being grabbed by Yuzu, making him widened his eyes in surprise.
"Umm…. Kirihito…" Yuzu said nervously with a slight blush on her face. "Are you free tomorrow?"
Kirihiro pondered for a moment before giving her an answer. "I'm free tomorrow why?"
"Ummm….. w-would you… g-go…" She asked, getting more nervous and blushed heavily.
"Are you okay, Yuzu?" Kirihito asked in concern as Yuzu take a deep breath to calm herself and determined look on her expression.
"Would you go out with me this tomorrow, Kirihito?" Yuzu said.
At hearing that, Kirihito shocked and stepped back a bit. There was only one logical way for him to react to this…
"WHAT?!" Kirihito yelled loudly before he regained his composer. "A-Are you being serious…? This isn't some kind of joke?"
"Yes." Yuzu replied seriously as Kirihito took a deep breath to calm himself down so he didn't do anything stupid or reckless.
"You asking me to go out with you?" Kirihito asked.
"Yes." Yuzu said in shyness.
"I-I don't know-" Kirihito tired to say, but Yuzu cut him off.
"It's okay. It could just be a date between friends. It doesn't have to be a romantic date." Yuzu assured as Kirihito looked at her before he sighed.
"Fine, we'll go on this 'friendship date'." Kirihito accepted, making Yuzu blush.
"Then, let's meet at the fountain in the park on 9:30 a.m in the morning." Yuzu smiled.
"Sure." Kirihito responded.
"Thank you. I'm looking forward for our this 'friendship date', Kirihito. And keep this secret." Yuzu said, giving the black haired boy a wink as Kirihito blushed in embarrassment, giggling Yuzu before she left the warehouse.
"I have a date in the next morning…" Kirihito said to himself as his face was still blushed.
The next day
Kirihito was currently at the fountain in the park as he waited for Yuzu. He doesn't want to make Yuzu wait for him so he came here early. Thankfully Yuya's mother, Yoko gave Kirihito some money for him.
Kirihito was now wearing a white sleeveless hooded jacket, which left unzipped, black polo shirt, dark blue faded jeans with a black belt secured around it, black socks, and black and white running shoes.
He even brought his Duel Disk and his Deck with him in case.
Since Kirihito didn't know why, but he actually looking forward to his first 'friendship date' with Yuzu.
A few minutes later, Kirihito spotted Yuzu was walking towards him.
Yuzu wore a red shirt that was beautiful and had a pink musical symbols on it. She was also wearing a pink skirt with a white outlined in it, and still had long black stockings and white high heels.
"Good morning, Kirihito." Yuzu greeted. "Did I make you too long?"
"Morning, Yuzu. Not really, I just got here in 15 minutes ago." Kirihito responded. In truth he got here in 15 minutes ago, he doesn't want tell a girl that she makes him too long.
"You looks cute, Yuzu." the black haired boy suddenly said, making Yuzu blushed in shyness.
Kirihito stood up from the bench and offered his right hand nervously to Yuzu. "Shall we go, Yuzu?"
"Yeah, let's start our 'friendship date'." Yuzu smiled in shyness as she took Kirihito's right hand.
Kirihito and Yuzu left the park hand in hand for their first date, with they are smiling each other.
Unbeknownst to them, a certain young duelist was discreetly hiding from them and watching the two from a slight distance.
"Aww… why am I following them like this?" Sora whined in an quiet tone, before he suddenly remembered. "Oh! That's because Yuya asked me to keep an eye on them! Looks like he'll have some competition after all."
Sora blushed as he giggled in amusement.
"He's totally jealous of Kirihito!" Sora grinned. "Those two should've been the look on his face when I asked him about that! It still makes my sides hurt even now! Yuzu and Kirihito are pretty close, I can see why he's worried. I better make sure I don't want to lose them, though. I'm kinda glad Yuya asked me to watch them cause I might be able to find out who Kirihito really is."
Kirhito and Yuzu went to shopping for clothes since Yuzu asked if they could go shopping.
"So Kirihito…" Yuzu asked she holded two dresses. "Which do you think looks better on me? The pink one or white one?"
Kirihito stared at the two dresses Yuzu was holding them in front of him.
"I think they both look good on you." Kirihito answered honestly with a smile.
"I'd thought you'd say that, Kirihito!" Yuzu smiled. "I just we're starting to get to know each other better, after all!"
"I guess so." Kirihito replied simply, before he noticed a store called Duel Shop with the full of Duel Monster cards.
"How about we can find you some Duel Monsters card." He said, pointing to his right.
"Okay." Yuzu nodded as they walked over there while she was staring at him with the full of curiosity.
'Kirihito truly is such a mystery…' Yuzu thought to herself. 'I need to sort out my feeling about him.'
After Kirihito paid for all the stuff they got from the store and Yuzu examined the new Fusion support cards she got. Right now, they eventually stop by a crepe shop and decide to get some while Sora secretly followed them.
"Which flavor do you want, Yuzu?" Kirihito asked politely with a small smile on his face.
"I'll have a strawberry flavored one." Yuzu said.
"Okay, wait for me there while I'll go get us some crepes." He told her, while pointing at an unoccupied seat.
"Okay." She replied as she headed towards the seat, and sitting down.
Kirihito fall in line and wait for his turn. It only takes about 2 minutes before it's his turn.
"I'll have one strawberry crepe and one mango crepe." He told the cashier.
"Coming right up." The cashier nodded in understatement as his colleagues works on making their ordered crepes.
After he finshed the crepes, Kirihito paid the money to cashier, then he handed the crepes.
"Hope you and your girlfriend enjoy, kid." The cashier said, making Kirihito blushed in shyness.
"T-Thanks." Kirihito turned around his back, then walked back to Yuzu.
Kirihito took a seat that Yuzu occupied the empty seat as he handed the strawberry crepe to Yuzu.
"Thank you Kirihito. How much do I own you?" Yuzu said, taking her crepe.
"Don't worry about it, Yuzu. It's my treat." Kirihito assured.
"Thanks." She thanked, before they ate their crepes.
"C-Can I try some of yours, Kirihito?" She suddenly asked.
"Ok, here." He said while offering his crepe to Yuzu, and she took a bite while blushing.
"It tastes sweet and sour but good, here have some of mine so we're even." Yuzu offered her crepe to Kirihito, and he hesitantly took a bite of her strawberry crepe while blushing.
"Oh, I almost forgot." She realized before pulling out her Duel Disk changed into selfish mode. "Let's take a photo together, Kirihito."
"I don't really like being in the photos. I don't even like looking at myself." He told.
"Why not? I think you look handsome. You should be more confident in yourself."
Yuzu stood up from her seat as she approached Kirihito, inching closer to him until their shoulders touched, which makes him jump a bit at the contact.
"Smile, Kirihito." Yuzu smiled widely as shw looked at her Duel Disk while Kirihito formed a small smile before she takes the pictures.
"There, see, you look good on this one, Kirihito." She said, showing the picture to Kirihito.
"Can you send it to me, Yuzu?" Kirihito asked. "To remember my first date ever."
"Eh? This is your first date?" Yuzu asked as well.
"Yeah. What about you?"
"This is my first date too." She said in shyness. "I guess our first date are with each other, huh?"
"True." He nodded.
"Alright, I'm sending it to you right now." She responded, sending the picture to Kirihito.
They continued ate their crepes and when they finished, they walked around the mall to check out some shops while making a small talk side by side when he spotted a familiar place.
"A karaoke place?" Yuzu said as she looked at him, who glancing at the place.
"Yeah. I sometimes come here before I went back to You Show Duel School or Yuya's house." Kirihito answered.
"Did you sing?" Yuzu asked curiously.
"Yes." He admitted.
"I wanna hear you sing! Let's go inside!" She said in excitement, dragging him inside the karaoke place.
"W-wait, Yuzu!" Kirihito tired to stop her but she still dragged him.
"A karaoke place, huh?" Sora muttered. "I wonder if Kirihito gonna put the moves on Yuzu in there…"
Sora widened his eyes in shock.
"Don't tell me…" He said in surprise. "Does he know that I was following them and is trying to lose me? If so, then how long did he know?"
"Tch, it doesn't matter… I'll just have to sneak my way inside and observe these two…"
"Room 9 is available." The male teen clerk said to them as Kirihito paid the money to him for a room.
"Thanks." Kirihito said in appreciate, before he and Yuzu went towards the room.
"How much do I…" Yuzu asked, but Kirihito interrupted.
"There's no need to worry about it, Yuzu." The black haired boy assured with a smile. "But, you have to sing first."
"Okay!" Yuzu smiled.
They reached the room, entering the room as they ordered their drinks. After the workers served their drinks, Yuzu searched for some songs and started to sing. Kirihito formed a smile on his lips as he listened Yuzu singing, enjoying himself. After singing two songs, Yuzu handed the microphone to Kirihito.
"Now, I want to hear you song, Kirihito." Yuzu told him.
"Fine, but I'm not very good though." Kirihito replied as he stood up his seat, then taking the microphone.
"It's fine, I just wanna hear you sing." Yuzu beamed in reply, while taking a seat.
Kirihito looked through the song book and spotted one of his favorite songs before he put it into the code and ready to sing a song.

"Then, we're both right." She said proudly.
A few hours later
"Man, that was fun!" Yuzu said happily from outside the building with Kirihito, while the sky showed a beautiful sunset.
"Say Kirihito, did you have fun on our this date?" Yuzu asked, while looking at the distance.
"Yeah, I did. I had our fun on our date, Yuzu." Kirihito replied.
"I can't thank you enough for going out with me in the first time."
"Of course." Kirihito said, before turning his head at the corner behind him. "You can come out now, Sora. I know you there."
Yuzu widened her eyes in surprise at Kirihito's statement.
"Eh? Sora?!"
"Ah, crap!" Sora said as he revealed to himself. "How'd you know it was me?"
"You smell like you came out of someone's chocolate factory." Kirihito responded. "How would anyone not know it was you?"
Sora laughed genuinely at Kirihito's comment.
"You got me! You totally got me there!"
"What's going on? Why is Sora doing here?" Yuzu asked in disbelief.
"Well, this is kinda embarrassing…" Sora replied blushing.
"Are you… stalking us?" Yuzu asked surprisingly.
"Well, I mean… stalking is such an ugly word." Sora answered as he tired to find some reasonable excuse. "I just wanted to ask Kirihito to duel me!"
"Huh?" The two could say to him.
"You want to duel me?" Kirihito asked curiously but he knew some of it was lie.
"Geez, Sora!" Yuzu said. "Why didn't you just ask him beforehand?"
"Because I thought you two were dating." Sora responded.
"D-D-Date?!" Yuzu replied blushing. "This is a friendship date between me and Kirihito, Sora?!"
"It's okay, Yuzu. We can't really blame him about it." Kirihito assured with a nervous smile as he gently touched Yuzu's shoulder.
"So, Kirihito… are you gonna duel me or not?"
Kirihito made an oath to himself to always accept anyone who challenges to a duel though he never once passed up an opportunity to miss any kind of sunsets for him to enjoy. Luckily, Kirihito had a solution that can easily fix his dilemma. He digging in his pocket to get out a quarter and revealed in front of them.
"Huh?"
"We'll toss a coin to decide whether I'll duel you or not." Kirihito decided as he tossed it in the air above them before grabbing it and placed on his left hand.
"I'll let you decide Sora, if you guess right then I'll duel you." He explained. "Your choice?"
"Tails!"

"He never loses to anyone either!" Yuzu said proudly.
"I guess she does have a thing for you, after all Kirihito." Sora teased.
"D-Don't put words into people's mouths!" She blushed in embarrassment.
"In the meantime, Sora could you help me take Yuzu home. I need some peace." Kirihito said.
"Why not." Sora shrugged. "See you later, Kirihito!"
"Be safe, Kirihito." Yuzu said as she waved.
