Current Projects:
Life's Twists - Ranma 1/2 - Personal spin at the generic Akane-has-a-curse plotline. Also cespool for any ideas I get that don't quite warrant their own stories. This is going to get very complicated, folks, which is part of the reason I have so much trouble writing it.
Notes on Life's Twists: Stalled where it is as I try to get around real life to work on it, yet still get a decent-sized chapter that does what I want it to do. Introducing an original character without changing the past too much isn't as easy as it seems, especially when you're trying to get a certain running gag going to make it more amusing.
Update: Haven't been able to bring myself to start writing on it again...
Tales of Honor, Book 1: Lost - Ranma 1/2 - Ranma gets disowned at the wedding, prompting a wave of reprecussions to sweep through Nerima. Lost will mostly just deal with the more immediate consequences. Timeframe from start to finish: 1 week max. Will eventually bring every major character (prior to Saffron manga-only) with a grudge against Ranma into the fold. Book 1 is something of a personal stab on the whole Ranma-vs.-Nerima idea, with some fairly obvious differences.
Notes on Tales of Honor: Sorry to all of you who have tried to give me suggestions on how it should go, but I pretty much have the entire first book plotted out and part of the second as well. Book 1 will seem somewhat jumpy early on, but this is intentional.
Update: Again, I haven't been able to bring myself to write anything. This time, I blame school, work, and life in general. Oh, and the bevy of other ideas that have been flooding my head.
An Otaku's Wish - Inu Yasha with multiple cameos in the form of inserted characters. (My first major taboo that I put pen to paper for.) - A girl gets thrown into the world of Inu Yasha almost without warning. She tries to have fun while staying alive and clinging to her facade of total amnesia. Now, there's others like her, all linked to her close friend. But he really doesn't remember anything and has become volatile as can be!
Notes on An Otaku's Wish: Stalled at seventh chapter due to writer's block, though I've only released up to the second chapter. Youzen's being overly central to the plot, and I'm having trouble figuring that out in accordance with the plot. Looking forward to another two characters being tossed into the fray, as well as fully unlocking the original characters' potential.
Update: Well, my laziness killed my copies of chapters 5 & 6, though I've discovered that I actually had them still in a different format. I've also gotten ahold of a complete copy of chapter 6 and am slowly transcribing it into my personal file. But, it's on hiatus here on FanFiction dot Net until further notice.
Possible Future Projects (?):
Clones and Chaos - Ranma 1/2 - A potential story dealing with one possible way Ranma may try to solve the fiancée problem. Meant to be a light comedy peice, I've found that it's turned rather more serious than I initially wanted.
Update: Attempted to start up a rewrite that begins with the end using the rarely used script format. Barely even off the ground.
Mutants of Nerima - A Ranma/X-Men cross (I once told myself I wouldn't do one of these.) - For once, Ranma isn't a mutant. Nearly complete oneshot with room for a sequel.
Update: I've typed up a basic outline of the 'short,' but nothing's come of it since, so it's still as good as dead.
Laws, Honor, and Everything Else - Ranma/multi-crossover (Another off my personal taboo list, doubly so since SM makes it in here.) - Oops, Shampoo succeeded in killing off girl-type Ranma, now the Soatome clan wants retribution.
Update: Nope, hasn't come back from the dead, yet.
Tales of Honor, Book 2: Fallen - Ranma 1/2 - Sequel to Lost, this is where the action really gets going. Things have been set into motion that cannot be stopped, Ranma struggles to redefine his honor and determine what he really wants, and the cast struggles to determine which side of the coming conflict they will be on.
Tales of Honor, Book 3: Ascent - Ranma 1/2 - Grand finale in the Tales of Honor series. With most of Nerima teetering on the brink of war with the JSDF and Soun's history out in the open, the Tendou family launches into a desperate gambit to avert conflict. The problem? Ranma's still got a few hang-ups on the solution.
Worst and Best - A series of character studies, not a story, all done in the first person from the characters' perspectives. What's the worst, best, and outright most outlandish ways one can reasonably portray the Ranma crew without conveniently dropping/changing canon events? Not for the faint of heart.
Update: Now that I think about it, I don't think something like this would've been allowed by the admins. Oh well, it also got deleted. All three chapters. One of which was Kasumi, the crowning piece of the series.
Here Kitty, Kitty - Ranma 1/2 - An incompetent sorceror tries to cast a spell on Ranma and fails miserably. Now, Ranma's a cat and stuck in Okinawa with a guy named Hikaru, and nobody in Nerima remembers him. Oh, and did we mention that the sorceror is still trying to capture Ranma? Another peice that plots to be light banter in tone.
Update: As things stand, I haven't managed to bring myself to restart this one.
Broken - Ranma 1/2 - Ranma awakens in the Amazon village, tormented by memories of things he has been forced to do. Walking a thin line between insanity and oblivion, Ranma must find a way to free himself from Amazon influence forever. Good potential for a sequel.
Update: Thankfully, this one exists on paper. Which is good, because I really want to continue working on this one.
Kaneko's Influence - Ranma 1/2 - A man from a dark future appears in Nerima the night the Soatome's arrived at the Tendou's. Now, he trains Ranma, Akane, and ... Kunou!? ... in preparation for stopping this future from coming to pass. Yet another from my personal taboo list, I think it's obvious why.
Shinigami 1/2 - Ranma 1/2, Rouroni Kenshin/Samurai X, Bleach crossover - Ranma's soul is ripped out of his body and nearly consumed whole during a training trip. Now, he's got a new sister, a shinigami boarder at the Tendou Dojo, and a Nerima about to go mad on top of his new duties.
Glory of the Dawn - Ranma 1/2 "mystery" crossover - Ranma, Ryouga, Akane, and Shampoo have been swept into another dimension by a desperate Nabiki from the future. Caught by a god in search of new avatars, they agree to help him fix Creation. Pokes fun at the over-the-top drama often found in their new world.
A Different Nerima - Ranma 1/2, with some Ah, Megami-sama! cameos. - A series of several different fics dealing with how things would've happened in Nerima had Akane had a very different reaction to things that occured prior to the series. OOCness runs rampant.
Crossroads - Massive Multi-cross taking place in the Naruto-verse. - A totally random idea I couldn't get out of my head until I'd actually made all the random selection lists, including what time frame it all starts at. Yes, I'm actually using a die roller program to select which characters pop up when and in what frame of mind. And, yes, I actually rolled for four Ranma 1/2 characters right off the bat.
Demonic Covalence - Ranma 1/2, with slight InuYasha flavoring. - Divergence fic starting at the end of the Ultimate Weakness Moxibustion episode. It seems that Happosai had a potential cure for the Moxibustion hidden among all his things, but at what cost?
Cursed! - Ranma 1/2 divergence/continuation - Another fic aiming to curse every major player in Nerima. A madman destroys Jusenkyou during the battle against Saffron, causing the magic to flee into a 'suitable' vessel.
Those Ties That Bind (Working Title) - Ranma 1/2 continuation - Following the battle at Jusendou, Ranma's strength takes a sudden nosedive. Meanwhile, a fate wizard arrives in Nerima complaining of the 'tangled web' that is the fates of Nerima's residents.
Secret Hearts - Ranma 1/2 - A series of shorts detailing the more tender moments that occur, mostly when one of the characters is somehow unaware.
Inverted - Slayers/Harry Potter alter-verse cross-over - Oops, the Giga Slave ended the world, but the Lord of Nightmares isn't as bad as she's been portrayed. Lina and the others are rewarded for their defense of their world, with a place in the new one that will replace it.
Vices - Ranma 1/2 - A more spiritual fic centered around the Tendous and Saotomes finding religion, and the reprecussions such will have.
